Abstract

ABSTRACT., The purpose of this study was to describe the preservation strategy of the katoba’s tradition as a medium of Islamic education in Muna ethnic communities at Southeast Sulawesi. Katoba was a life cycle tradition that deals with the practice of Islamic values which carried out hereditary by Muna ethnic communities. In Muna ethnic communities, the Katoba tradition was understood as a ritual of "repentance", or "child islamization" which aged 7-11 years old. In its implementation, the katoba tradition contains the values of Islamic education that are represented, both verbally and nonverbally. This study used a qualitative approach with the research location in Muna district and West Muna District, at Southeast Sulawesi Province. By using the interactive analysis, this study produced the facts about the preservation of the katoba tradition as a medium of Islamic education in the Muna community which carried out by (1) inheriting katoba values in the family environment, (2) preserving the Muna language, (2) increasing the professionalism of imamu, and (4) preservation through "Katoba-insightful" teaching and research. Bagi masyarakat etnis Muna, tradisi katoba dipahami sebagai ritual “pertobatan”, atau “pengislaman anak” berusia 7-11 tahun. Dalam pelaksanaannya tradisi katoba mengandung nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam yang direpsentasikan, baik secara verbal maupun nonverbal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan lokasi penelitian di kabupaten Muna dan Kabupaten Muna Barat Propinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Menggunakan analisis interaktif, penelitian ini menghasilkan fakta-fakta strategi pelestarian tradisi katoba sebagai media pendidikan Islam pada masyarakat Muna dilakukan dengan langkah-langkah (1) pewarisan nilai-nilai katoba di lingkungan keluarga, (2) pelestarian bahasa Muna, (2) peningkatan pro esionalisme imamu, dan (4) pelestarian melalui pengajaran dan penelitian “Berwawasan Katoba”. Abstract

Bahasa Indonesia is a dynamic language. But, the dynamic seems uncontrolled and unregulated which negatively influenced the development of Bahasa Indonesia in future. Further, the disorder of Bahasa Indonesia also reflects the condition of the nation?s culture in which people tend to violent the rules. Therefore, to counter the penetration of negative influence, firstly, the quality of Bahasa Indonesia must be enhanced. This effort can be started from promoting motivation and commitment in using good and correct Bahasa Indonesia in daily communication. Schools and other educational institutions must take part in this effort.

Abstract

Religious Culture is an important religious culture that belongs to every human being, especially students. Because students are very vulnerable to the name of religious differences. Especially in a public school that has students with a variety of religions. This difference is sometimes a problem between religious groups. This study discusses the Development of Religious Culture in Junior High School 2 Tomohon. To further narrow the research, the researchers used the research process through Self-habituation Management conducted by the school. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with locations in Junior High School 2 Tomohon. The research subjects were Religious Teachers, while the research Informants were Principals, Religion Teachers, and 7th and 9th Grade Students. The research method used was carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation. While the data validity technique uses triangulation methods and sources. The results of this study conclude that planning a religious culture development based on self-habituation management that comes from management functions namely Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controling. Self-habituation management is to change the behavior of students who are carried out continuously so that they can be changed according to expectations. To implement Religious Culture at Junior Hugh School 2 Tomohon must have a definite goal so that its implementation runs effectively. The application carried out in schools is by small things such as greeting one another, no mockery of mockery, mutual respect, and mutual assistance. Thus, this application does not create a burden to students in Junior High School 2 Tomohon.

Abstract

Penelitian bahasa-bahasa etnis di Sulawesi Utara kaitannya dengan kearifan lokal dan multikulturalisme penting dilakukan. Melalui penelitian akan terungkap nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang berwawasan multikultural. Selain itu, penelitian ini memiliki implikasi pada pembentukan karakter bangsa ketahanan integrasi bangsa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan nilai kearifan lokal khususnya yang berwawasan multikultural dalam bahasa-bahasa etnis (daerah) di Sulawesi Utara dan implikasinya terhadap pendidikan karakter bangsa. Metode pengumpulan atau penyediaan data dilakukan melalui studi pustaka, simak, dan catat khususnya terkait data lisan percakapan masyarakat lokal menggunakan bahasa etnis. Model analisis data yang digunakan adalah interaktif-dialektis. Melalui model ini, pengumpulan data dan analisis secara bersama-sama, berulang kali, sesuai kebutuhan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa bahasa-bahasa etnis di Sulawesi Utara mengandung nilai kearifan lokal, khususnya pemakaian bahasa etnis dalam konteks atau ranah budaya dan sosial kemasyarakatan. Nilai kearifan lokal yang terepresentasi  dalam bentuk leksikon dan ungkapan bahasa etnis antara lain bahasa Tonsea, Bantik, Tombulu, Mongondow, dan Sangihe-Talaud adalah bantu-membantu, musyawarah, moral dan etika, dan harga-menghargai. Temuan nilai kearifan lokal dalam bahasa-bahasa etnis tersebut dapat dijadikan bahan pendidikan karakter bangsa di sekolah maupun di perguruan tinggi. Kata kunci: nilai kearifan lokal, bahasa etnis, pendidikan karakter bangsa  LOCAL WISDOM IN ETNIC LANGUAGES IN NORTH SULAWESI AND IMPLICATION TO EDUCATION OF NATION CHARACTER AbstractResearch on ethnic languages in North Sulawesi in relation to local wisdom and multiculturalism is important. Through research, it will be revealed the values of local wisdom with a multicultural perspective. In addition, this research has implications for shaping the character of the nation for the resilience of national integration. This study aims to describe the value of local wisdom, especially those with a multicultural perspective in ethnic languages in North Sulawesi and its implications to education of national character. The method of collecting or providing data was carried out through literature study, listening, and taking notes, especially related oral data on local community convertions using ethnic languages. The data analysis model used was interactive-dialectical. Through this model, data collection and analysis are jointly, repeatedly, as needed. The results of the analysis show that the ethnic languages in North Sulawesi contain local wisdom value, especially the use of ethnic languages ini the cultural and social contexts or realms. The value of local wisdom are represented in the form lexicons and expressions of ethnic languages, including Tonsea, Bantik, Tombulu, Mangondow, and Sangihe-Talaud are helping, discussion, morals, and respect. The findings of the value of local wisdom in ethnic languages can bhe used as material for nationa character in schools and universities. Keywords: local wisdom, ethnic languages, education of nation character

Abstract

This study aims to assess and analyze (1) the level of teachers’ achievement motivation, participation, and performance, (2) the relationship between teachers’ achievement motivation, participation, and performance, and (3) the influence of teachers’ achievement motivation and participation on their performance at Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Manado. Subjects of the study encompass all 105 teachers of Madrasah Tsanawiyah, both public and private, spread in four Madrasah Tsanawiyah existing in Manado. Data are collected using questionnaires. Data are analyzed using the Z test, correlation, and regression. The results show that (1) the general level of achievement motivation, the level of participation, and the level of teachers’ performance at Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Manado is relatively high, (3) there is a significant relationship among teachers’ achievement motivation, participation, and performance, either treated separately or simultaneously; and (3) there is significant impact of achievement motivation and participation on teachers’ performance at Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Manado, either treated separately or simultaneously.

Abstract

Abstrak : Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh perilaku kepemimpinan dan keterampilan manajerial kepala madrasah terhadap kinerja guru di MAN 1 Kotamobagu. Jenis dan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data diolah menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif yang diperoleh dari hasil kuisioner yang telah disebarkan oleh penulis kepada para guru di MAN 1 Kotamobagu. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang negatif dan tidak signifikan antara perilaku kepemimpinan kepala madrasah dengan kinerja guru di MAN 1 Kotamobagu. Jika dikaitkan dengan keterampilan managerial terhadap kinerja guru di MAN 1 Kotamobagu memiliki pengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan. Maka kinerja guru di MAN I Kotamobagu dipengaruhi oleh keterampilan manajerial kepala sekolah. Sehingga dapat dismpulkan bahwa pengaruh perilaku kepemimpinan dan keterampilan manajerial setelah digabungkan memiliki pengaruh sedikit terhadap kinerja guru di MAN 1 Kotamobagu. Abstract: This article aims to examine the influence of madrasah principals leadership behavior and managerial skills on teacher performance in MAN 1 Kotamobagu. The type and research design used is quantitative. Data collection was processed using descriptive statistical techniques obtained from the questionnaires distributed by the author to teachers in MAN 1 Kotamobagu. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. This study proves a negative and insignificant influence between the leadership behavior of madrasah principals and teacher performance in MAN 1 Kotamobagu. If it is associated with managerial skills on teacher performance in MAN 1, Kotamobagu has a positive and insignificant effect. Then the performance of teachers in MAN I Kotamobagu is influenced by the managerial skills of the principal. So it can be concluded that the impact of leadership behavior and managerial skills after being combined has little effect on teacher performance in MAN 1 Kotamobagu. Kata Kunci : Perilaku Kepemimpinan; Keterampilan Manajerial; Kinerja Guru

Abstract

This study aims to perform a significance test of (1) the positive communication within the family on students’ assertive behavior, (2) the teachers’ interpersonal communication on students’ assertive behavior, and (4) the positive family communication and teachers’ interpersonal communication simultaneously on students’ assertive behavior. This is a quantitative study using a survey questionnaire in data collection. This research is conducted at MAN Model Manado. The research population is all students of the 10th, 11th, and 12th grade, totaling 1406. The sample size of 87 students is selected by a simple random sampling. The results show that (1) while the level of the positive communication within the family, and of the students’ assertive behaviour perceived by the students is relatively low, the level of the teachers’ interpersonal communication is relatively high; (2) a  positive communication within the family has a significant effect on students’ assertive behavior; (3) an  interpersonal communication has a significant effect on students’ assertive behavior; and (4)  a positive family communication and teachers’ interpersonal communication simultaneously have a significant effect on students’ assertive behavior.Keywords: Positive communications within family, teachers’ interpersonal communications, students’ assertive behaviors

Abstract

ABSTRACT.This study aims to analyze the influence of learning motivation and extracurricular activities of the Qur'an studio either individually (partially) or (simultaneously) to the students' learning achievement on the subjects of Alquran Hadith of Madrasah Aliyah in Manado City. The population in this study was all students of Madrasah Aliyah in Manado City in School Year of 2016/2017 who’s following the extracurricular activities of Alquran studio, which amounts to 300 students. To determine the sample of this research, the researcher uses a table which developed from the formula of Isaac and Michael, which according to the table for a population of 380 people then the sample amounted to 161 people with 5% error rate. The data were collected by using the questionnaire technique. Testing the validity of the questionnaire in terms of construct validity and content validity through expert judgment and content validity by Pearson correlation analysis by using SPSS for Windows Release 20 program. To test the reliability of the questionnaire was analyzed with Alpha-Cronbach. Research hypothesis testing conducted with Multiple Regression, at the real level of 0.05. The process of calculating of the regression test was conducted by using SPSS for Windows Release 20. The results of this research can generally be concluded that: 1) there was significant influence of student's learning motivation on student achievement of Madrasah Aliyah in Manado City inAlquran Hadith subject, 2) there was significant influence of extracurricular activities of Alquranstudio to the students achievement of Madrasah Aliyah in Manado City in Alquran Hadith subject, and 3) there was significant influence of students' learning motivation and extracurricular activities of Alquran studio simultaneously on the students learning achievement of Madrasah Aliyah in Manado City in the subject of Alquran Hadith.. Keywords: Learning Motivation, Extracurricular, Alquran Studio, Learning Achievement ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh motivasi belajar dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler sanggar Alquran baik secara sendiri-sendiri (parsial) maupun secara bersama-sama (simultan) terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Alquran Hadis di Madrasah Aliyah Kota Manado.Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa Madrasah Aliyah yang ada di Kota Manado Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017 yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler sanggar Alquran, yang berjumlah 300 siswa. Untuk menentukan sampel penelitian, peneliti menggunakan tabel yang dikembangkan dari rumus Isaac dan Michael, dimana berdasarkan tabel tersebut untuk populasi yang berjumlah 300 orang maka sampelnya berjumlah 161 orang dengan taraf kesalahan 5%. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik angket. Pengujian validitas angket dilihat dari segi validitas konstruk dan validitas isi melalui pertimbangan ahli dan validitas isi melalui analisis korelasi Pearson dengan menggunakan program SPSS for Windows 23. Untuk pengujian reliabilitas angket dilakukan dengan analisis alpha-cronbach. Pengujian hipotesis penelitian dilakukan dengan Regresi Ganda, pada taraf nyata 0,05. Proses penghitungan pengujian regresi menggunakan program SPSS for Windows 23. Hasil penelitian ini secara umum dapat disimpulkan: (1) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan motivasi belajar siswa terhadap prestasi belajar siswa Madrasah Aliyah di Kota Manado pada mata pelajaran Alquran Hadis, 2) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler sanggar Alquran terhadap prestasi belajar siswa Madrasah Aliyah di Kota Manado pada mata pelajaran Alquran Hadis, dan 3) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan motivasi belajar siswa dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler sanggar Alquran secara bersama-sama terhadap prestasi belajar siswa Madrasah Aliyah di Kota Manado dalam mata pelajaran AlquranHadis. Kata kunci: Motivasi Belajar, Ekstrakurikuler, Sanggar Alquran, Prestasi Belajar

Abstract

Abstract.This research to test and analyse two important variable influencing work productivity learn the madrasah ibtidaiyah in town Bitung. The variable for example: influence model the leadership of kontingensi LPC (X1) to work productivity teacher (Y) And school climate (X2) to work productivity teacher (Y) and also influence by together among/between model of leadership LPC (X1) and school climate (X2) to work productivity teacher (Y). Method used in this research is quantitative method. This research is executed in madrasah ibtidaiyah in town Bitung, that is: MIN 1 town Bitung, MIS Arafah of town Bitung, MIS Al-Muhtadien of town Bitung, and MIS Al-Muhajirin of town Bitung by sampel as a whole as much 106 teachers. Data collecting done/conducted by using enquette instrument. examination of enquette. Validity seen from validity of konstruk and validity fill through/ passing expert consideration and analyse the correlation pearson, by using program of SPSS for Windows Release 22. For the examination of reliabilitas instrument done/conducted with the analysis alpha-cronbach. Examination of research Hypothesis done/conducted with the simple analysis regresi and analyse the linear regresi duplicate, at real level 0,05, then Test The F, Test the T and koefesien derteminasi. Penelitian ini untuk menguji dan menganalisis dua variabel penting yang mempengaruhi produktivitas kerja guru madrasah ibtidaiyah di kota Bitung. Kedua variabel tersebut antara lain: pengaruh modelkepemimpinan kontingensi LPC (X1) terhadap produktivitas kerja guru (Y) dan iklim sekolah (X2) terhadap produktivitas kerja guru (Y) serta pengaruh secara bersama-sama antara model kepemimpinan LPC (X1) dan iklim sekolah (X2) terhadap produktivitas kerja guru (Y). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di madrasah ibtidaiyah di kota Bitung, yaitu: MIN 1 kota Bitung, MIS Arafah kota Bitung, MIS Al-Muhtadien kota Bitung, dan MIS Al-Muhajirin kota Bitung dengan sampel secara keseluruhan sebanyak 106 guru. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen angket. Pengujian validitas angket dilihat dari validitas konstruk dan validitas isi melalui pertimbangan ahli dan analisis korelasi pearson, dengan menggunakan program SPSS for Windows Release 22. Untuk pengujian reliabilitas instrumen dilakukan dengan analisis alpha-cronbach. Pengujian hipotesis penelitian dilakukan dengan analisis regresi sederhana dan analisis regresi linier ganda, pada taraf nyata 0,05, lalu Uji F, Uji T dan koefesien derteminasi. Proses perhitungan dan pengujian regresi menggunakan SPSS for Windows Release 22. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model kepemimpinan LPC berpengaruh terhadap produktivitas kerja guru dan iklim sekolah berpengaruh positif terhadap produktivitas kerja guru madrasah ibtidaiyah di kota Bitung. Secara bersamaan model kepemimpinan LPC (X1) dan iklim sekolah (X2) berpengaruh positif terhadap produktivitas kerja guru madrasah ibtidaiyah di kota Bitung (Y).Kata Kunci: Model Kepemimpinan LPC, Iklim Sekolah, dan Produktivitas Kerja Guru
