Abstract

AbstractPia edamame attracts consumers as a typical food of Jember Regency. However, its development involves a high level of competition because of various types and quality of similar products with competitive prices. It then improves the opportunities for consumers in selecting the product according to their expectations to meet the satisfaction. Pia edamame of Said's Roti (SR), therefore, needs to develop its product to achieve high competitiveness as a typical food of Jember. This study aims to know the consumers attributes requirements and strategies to improve the competitive predominance of pia edamame SR. One of the methods used to assess and interpret consumer expectation is Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Application of QFD in this research, in the context of the process of quality improvement of pia edamame SR, provides various important information regarding consumer expectations and requirement. The results show that the goal values of attributes for consumer demand on packaging and flavor variant of pia edamame SR have not met the target, thus require improvement. Besides, the value of benchmarking was lower than its two competitors on the several technical responses. Hence, pia edamame SR requires a planning of competitive strategies by improving packaging and increasing the flavor variant.Keywords: pia edamame, quality, Quality Function Deployment, strategy AbstrakPia edamame sebagai makanan khas Jember memiliki daya tarik tersendiri bagi para konsumen. Potensi tersebut mengakibatkan tingginya tingkat persaingan antar pelaku bisnis serta munculnya berbagai macam produk sejenis dengan mutu dan harga yang bersaing. Hal tersebut memberikan peluang pada konsumen untuk lebih selektif memilih produk sesuai dengan selera dan kebutuhannya, sehingga konsumen mendapatkan kepuasan tersendiri. Oleh karena itu, pia edamame Said’s Roti (SR) perlu terus dikembangkan agar mampu bersaing di pasar sebagai makanan ciri khas Kabupaten Jember. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui atribut kebutuhan yang diinginkan oleh konsumen serta mengetahui strategi yang perlu dilakukan untuk meingkatkan keunggulan bersaing pia edamame SR. Salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan untuk menilai dan menerjemahkan keinginan konsumen adalah metode quality function deployment (QFD). Penerapan QFD pada penelitian ini terkait dengan proses peningkatan kualitas pia edamame SR yang dapat memberikan berbagai macam informasi penting mengenai kebutuan dan keinginan konsumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai goal atribut kebutuhan konsumen terhadap kemasan dan varian rasa pia edamame SR belum mencapai target sehingga perbaikan harus dilakukan pada kedua atribut tersebut. Nilai benchmarking pia edamame SR juga masih di bawah kedua pesaingnya pada beberapa respon teknis sehingga diperlukan perancangan strategi bersaing pia edamame SR dengan memperbaiki kemasan dan menambah varian rasa.Kata kunci: kualitas, pia edamame, Quality Function Deployment, strategi

Abstract

Performance measurement is a management tool to improve the decisionmaking quality for organizational performance improvement. Performance managementis about how to manage activities within an organization to achieve its goals. Theperformance measurement design requires performance indicators formed from thedimensions of satisfaction and employee contributions to the company. By using thedimensions of employee satisfaction structured business goals to be achieved throughthe fulfillment of employee satisfaction firm. Business objectives is the basis for buildKey Performance Indicators in this measurement design. Based on the results of theKPIs identification, there are 12 KPIs to measure corporate performance to theemployee. The results shown on OMAX that 4 KPIs on the highest target, and 8 KPIs are stillunder target. Measurement results compiled in Objective Matrix (OMAX) to determinethe level / achievement level performance indicators set targets.

Abstract

Post harvest risk is a condition that must be faced by agro-industry companies. PT. Mitratani 27 is an agro-industry company that produces frozen edamame. One of the postharvest risks that occurs is losses in the process grading edamame. Therefore the AHP (Analytical Hi earchy Process) method is used to identify and determine the main causes of losses in the process grading. Generally, the AHP method is a process of comparing the criteria carried out by experts, the greater the value produced, the more important the criteria that considered by experts. The results of application AHP method that a criteria with the highest value is labor (0.755) and sub criteria for worker skills (0.259). Postharvest risk control that can be done is recommendations to improvement the skills of workers grading.

Abstract

PT. Energi Agro Nusantara is a company engaged in the field of renewable energy, namely producing bioethanol made from molasses. In carrying out its business activities, PT. Energi Agro Nusantara applies the concept of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM), but in the implementation of green manufacturing there are still complex problems including raw materials being scattered, production machine breakdowns, byproducts that have not been utilized optimally. These problems have the potential to cause risks that can harm the company. This study aims to determine the risk events and sources of risk that can occur and design a management strategy that can be used to reduce the incidence of risk sources. on GSCM agroindustry bioethanol activities. The method used in this research is the House of Risk (HOR) which consists of 2 phases, namely HOR phase 1 is used to identify risks that occur in supply chain activities and HOR phase 2 is used to arrange preventive measures from priority risks. The results showed that there were 24 risk events and 33 identified sources of risk. From HOR phase 1, 9 priority risk sources were obtained which were taken into consideration in the preparation of handling strategies. From HOR phase 2, obtained 5 priority handling strategies.

Abstract

The use of hand sanitizers to maintain hand hygiene is a must in disease prevention. The addition of betel leaf extract is expected to increase the effectiveness of hand sanitizers in killing bacteria. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of adding betel leaf extract on the effectiveness of hand sanitizer as a non-alcoholic antiseptic. The research was conducted at the Agroindustrial Technology and Management Laboratory and the Microbiology Laboratory of Food and Agricultural Products, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, University of Jember. This study used a Factorially Completely Randomized Design with two factors, namely concentration and preparation. This study used a factorial Complete Randomized Design with two factors, namely concentration and preparation. The treatments consist of A1B1 (addition of betel leaf extract 5% with gel preparation), A2B1 (addition of betel leaf extract 10% with gel preparation), A3B1 (addition of betel leaf extract 15% with gel preparation), A4B1 (addition of betel leaf extract 20 % with gel preparation), A1B1 (addition of betel leaf extract 5% with spray preparation), A1B2 (addition of 10% betel leaf extract with spray preparation), A1B3 (addition of 15% betel leaf extract with spray preparation), A1B4 (addition of betel leaf extract) betel 20% with spray preparations). Parameters observed were pH, antiseptic power, and organoleptic (color, odour, and shape). The result showed that the addition 5-20% of betel leaf extract in gel preparations and 5-15% in spray preparations are ineffective and does not comply with SNI requirements. Meanwhile, the addition of betel leaf extract in spray preparations with a concentration of 20% is effective as a natural antiseptic with a pH of 5.8 and an antibacterial of 2 colonies so that it complies with Indonesian National Standard.Keywords:   antibacterial, colony, organoleptic AbstrakEFEKTIVITAS HAND SANITIZER EKSTRAK DAUN SIRIH BENTUK SPRAY DAN GEL SEBAGAI ANTISEPTIK TANPA ALKOHOLPenggunaan hand sanitizer untuk menjaga kebersihan tangan merupakan salah satu keharusan dalam pencegahan penyakit. Penambahan ekstrak daun sirih diharapkan dapat menambah efektifitas hand sanitizer dalam membunuh bakteri. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui pengaruh penambahan ekstrak daun sirih terhadap efektifitas hand sanitizer sebagai antiseptik tanpa alkohol. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Teknologi dan Manajemen Agroindustri dan Laboratorium Mikrobiologi Pangan dan Hasil Pertanian, Fakultas Teknologi Pertanian Universitas Jember. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap faktorial dua faktor yaitu konsentrasi ekstrak daun sirih dan sediaan. Kombinasi perlakuan terdiri dari A1B1 (penambahan ekstrak daun sirih 5% dengan sediaan gel), A2B1 (penambahan ekstrak daun sirih 10% dengan sediaan gel), A3B1 (penambahan ekstrak daun sirih 15% dengan sediaan gel), A4B1 (penambahan ekstrak daun sirih 20% dengan sediaan gel), A1B1 (penambahan ekstrak daun sirih 5% dengan sediaan spray), A1B2 (penambahan ekstrak daun sirih 10% dengan sediaan spray), A1B3 (penambahan ekstrak daun sirih 15% dengan sediaan spray), A1B4 (penambahan ekstrak daun sirih 20% dengan sediaan spray). Parameter yang diamati yaitu pH, daya antiseptik, dan organoleptik (warna, bau dan bentuk). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penambahan ekstrak daun sirih 5-20% pada sediaan gel dan 5-15% pada sediaan spray tidak efektif dan tidak sesuai Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI). Penambahan ekstrak daun sirih 20% pada sediaan spray efektif digunakan sebagai antiseptik tanpa alkohol dengan pH 5,8 dan antibakteri 2 koloni sehingga sesuai standar SNI.Kata kunci : antibakteri, koloni, organoleptik

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises play an important role for economic growth in Indonesia. As an agricultural country, development on agricultural sector should be done to meet the needs of industries. As agricultural commodities, cassava requires processing efforts to increase the product value. Anis Jaya has been processing tapioca flour since 1983 in the center of tapioca flour on Pogalan, Trenggalek Regency. Since 2015, Anis Jaya has decreased production number, due to the decline on market demand. This has an impact on the decline of cassava purchasing price by industry. Therefore, the objective of this research is to analyze the feasibility of Anis Jaya business and to analyze business competitiveness using Porter’s Diamond model approach for business development. The analysis shows that the Net Present Value is Rp. 88.690.571,74 (NPV > 1), Internal Rate of Return is 54,98% and Payback Period less than 1 year. Net B/C ratio of Anis Jaya is 2,82 which indicates that the industry is still worth continuing. The formulated development strategy is making efficiency by adding capital, improving product and service quality, optimizing labor performance, and managing raw material inventory and auxiliary materials.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Karies gigi merupakan penyakit dengan prevalensi tertinggi selainpenyakit periodontal. Penyakit ini menjadi masalah nasional di beberapa Negaraberkembang terutama di Indonesia.Tujuan Penelitian: Etiologi utama karies pada anak adalah pola makan. Kelompok usiasekolah dasar mempunyai kebiasan jajan yang lebih tinggi dari kelompok usia lainkhususnya makanan manis, sehingga menyebabkan meningkatnya indeks karies gigi.Kegiatan ini didanai oleh Kemenristekdikti, yang dilakukan pada 2 SD yaitu SDN 03 danSDN 04 Bangsalsari. Metode Penelitian: Jumlah responden adalah siswa kelas 3 sebanyak 70 orang di SDN 03Bangsalsari dan 51 orang di SDN 04 Bangsalsari yang diperoleh dengan menggunakanmetode total sampling. Penyuluhan dan praktek gosok gigi bersama dilakukan kepadapara siswa untuk memberi pengetahuan serta memperbaiki perilaku mengenai kesehatanrongga mulut.Hasil Penelitian: Hasil pemeriksaan menunjukkan indeks DMF-T rata-rata untuk siswaSDN 03 Bangsalsari yaitu 6,1, sedangkan rerata indeks DMF-T untuk siswa SDN 04Bangsalsari yaitu 5. Indeks gigi yang karies (D) lebih dominan yaitu sekitar 67%dibanding gigi yang telah dicabut (M) sebanyak 2% dan gigi yang telah ditambal(F) hanya 1%. Masih tinggi nya gigi yang karies (D) dibandingkan gigi yang sudahditambal (F) menunjukkan masih rendahnya pengetahuan dan kesadaran siswa SDserta orang tua dalam menjaga kesehatan rongga mulutnya. Status karies gigi padasiswa SDN 03 dan 04 Bangsalsari berada pada kategori Tinggi berdasarkan kriteriaWHO. Kata kunci : Karies gigi, Perilaku, Siswa SD, Indeks DMF-T

Abstract

Kinerja perusahaan adalah ukuran tingkat keberhasilan dalam mengelola perusahaan sumber daya. Selama ini sistem pengukuran kinerja di PTPN X Kebun Kertosari tidak mewakili kinerja organisasi secara komprehensif dan integratif. Oleh karena itu, pengukuran kinerja perlu dilakukan pada PTPN X Kebun Kertosari menggunakan Performance Prism dan Scoring OMAX untuk meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan secara maksimal. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara bertahap dengan pembobotan untuk mengetahui skala prioritas masing-masing KPI, sistem penilaian dengan metode matriks tujuan (OMAX) dan sistem lampu lalu lintas untuk mengetahui tingkat masing-masing KPI di perusahaan. Dari hasil pengukuran kinerja PTPN X Kebun Kertosari terdapat 3 KPI yang telah sesuai dengan harapan dan 3 KPI yang masih memiliki kinerja yang cukup tetapi perlu dipertimbangkan. Dengan demikian disimpulkan bahwa kinerja PTPN X Kebun Kertosari kurang baik

Abstract

Agroindustry is an industry that processes agricultural products from raw materials. Agroindustry increase the added value of agricultural commodities. Virgin coconut oil (VCO) product have high economic value because it has many benefits for health and beauty care as well. One of the industries processing coconut into a VCO product in Jember on an SME (Small Medium Enterprises) scale is located in Sukorejo, Jember Regency. The economic feasibility showed that its VCO industry business had a positive NPV. The BC Ratio value less than 1, which means that cash in flow was bigger than cash out flow, in the present value called Break Even Point (BEP), that is, total cost equals total revenue. IRR value that is generated is greater > 6% loan interest, and the last payback period (PBP), which is produced shows the value (less than) <10 years. In accordance with the specified time period of 5 years and 4 months. From the results of the analysis, it can be said that the VCO industry in Sukorejo, Sumbersari District was feasible to do. Abstract

Post-harvest is an activity processed from harvesting to becoming a product. Post-harvest handling aims to maintain the quality and minimize the loss of the agricultural product. Post-harvest loss of okra is the reduction of the okra harvest amount from picking up to transporting process. Many factors can cause the post-harvest loss of okra. This study aimed to determine the causal sources of the okra loss. This study used FMEA and fishbone diagram. Fishbone diagram was used to identify the causes of the okra loss in a fishbone skeleton. FMEA was used to give the value on the causes of the okra loss by assessing the severity, occurrence and detection to get the RPN value. The RPN value was used to rank the potential causes of the loss. From the result of the study, it was found that there were 4 main factors causing the okra loss which had the RPN value above the RPN critical value. It were lack of picker accuracy and training or counseling, handling pets and diseases, and age factor of picker. Keywords: fishbone diagram, FMEA, okra, post-harvest loss
