Abstract

Many subjects in engineering are abstract, not only in theoritical concepts but also in practices. This causes difficulties for students in understanding the material. Especially if the availability of practical tools is limited. Therefore we need media that can help students learn abstract material to be more real amidst the limitations of existing practical tools. Multimedia is a technology that is used in various fields, also in the education field. Multimedia has advantages such as being able to simulate, sound, move, video, and others and can be used as a learning aid. Multimedia based on Augmented Reality (AR) is an alternative solution to solve the students problems in learning. The aims of this research is to develop multimedia based on Augmented Reality. This research method is ADDIE. The multimedia development process begins with analysis, design, development, limited implementation and evaluation. The result of this AR-based multimedia development process is that multimedia products have been declared feasible, both in terms of material and multimedia.

Abstract

HOTS is a fundamental skill that prospective workers must possess. Vocational High Schools, as workforce printers, must pay attention to the HOTS of prospective graduates so that they can be absorbed in the world of work. However, Vocational High Schools experience many obstacles in forming prospective HOTS graduates. One of them is the teacher's ability to prepare HOTS questions. Based on the results of initial observations, similar obstacles were also faced by SMKN 14 Medan and SMKS Al-Fattah. The purpose of this activity is to provide training on the preparation of HOTS questions to teachers in SMK. The activity method used presentation, discussion, demonstration, and assignment techniques. Activities were grouped into three stages, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation—the results of activities run effectively by the plan. The participants participated in the activity enthusiastically. The results of the FGD showed an increase in the ability of teachers to prepare HOTS questions. The skills of preparing HOTS vocational teachers still need to be considered because HOTS is one of the key skills of prospective workers.

Abstract

Masyarakat Indonesia dikenal sebagai multikultural dengan keberagaman yang menjadi kekuatan namun juga sumber dilema yang harus dihadapi karena munculnya isu-isu sosial dan konflik akibat ketidaksepahaman terhadap keberagaman yang ada. Isu-isu sosial dan konflik yang muncul akibat ketidaksepahaman terhadap keberagaman diantaranya konflik antarsuku, konflik agama, konflik horizontal juga mencakup isu diskriminasi dan intoleransi terhadap minoritas, masalah identitas dan keadilan sosial di tengah arus globalisasi. Sebagai agen perubahan masa depan, generasi milenial berperan penting dalam menangani isu dan konflik yang muncul melalui pendekatan yang tepat seperti sosialisasi. Sosialisasi terkait keberagaman ini penting untuk memahami dan membangun masyarakat inklusif, berkeadilan, dan harmonis. Pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman akan keharmonisan dalam keberagaman, mengajak generasi milenial menghargai keragaman nilai, serta berperan dalam menciptakan perdamaian dunia. Sosialisasi dilakukan terhadap 24 mahasiswa PMM 3 pada 14 Oktober 2023 di Ruang Serba Guna FT Unimed. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Hasilnya menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman, keterlibatan dalam kegiatan, serta persepsi harmoni antar etnis dari 42% menjadi 94%. Peserta menyambut kegiatan dengan antusiasme tinggi dan menilai pengabdian ini sangat bermanfaat, memungkinkan mereka berperan sebagai generasi milenial penyokong perdamaian dunia. Kegiatan pengabdian efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan pengetahuan generasi milenial terkait pentingnya menjaga keharmonisan di dalam keberagaman serta mendorong generasi milenial agar lebih menghargai keragaman nilai dalam konteks yang lebih luas yaitu masyarakat global dan turut berperan dalam menciptakan perdamaian dunia sebagai anggota masyarakat global.
