Abstract

Infrastructure contruction has expanded in Penajam Paser Utara brought the effect of wall materials. Nowdays, Building construction with light brick preferably as an alternative than red brick it self. The aim of this research is to conduct SWOT Analysis between light brick and red brick in construction build in Penajam Paser Utara. According to question form that was spread in to local government has shown the results, The red brick sited in forth coordinate (quadrant) compare with light brick in second quadrant. Abstract

The Director General of Traffic of the East Kalimantan Regional Police (2019) stated that, victims of traffic accidents 37% were 16-25 years old. The number of victims of accidents based on education is highest among students of Public High Schools and Vocational High Schools. Based on these facts, it is necessary to carry out activities aimed at broadening students' knowledge about Safety Road in two-wheeled vehicles and fostering awareness of driving that prioritizes road user safety. This activity was carried out in 3 sessions, namely giving pre-tests regarding traffic safety knowledge, the second session giving knowledge about traffic safety and question and answer, and ending with giving a post-test. Based on the test results found that an increase in the number of correct answers from the post-test and pre-test around 50%. From the results of the questionnaire, it was found that the implementation of this activity was very important and beneficial for the participants of the socialization.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman tentang penyelenggaraan Pemilihan Wali Kota dan Wakil Wali Kota Balikapapan 2020 pada kondisi bencana nonalam covid-19. Kegiatan yang dilakukan berupa Bimbingan Teknis kepada anggota Kelompok Penyelenggara Pemungutan Suara (KPPS) di Kelurahan Gunung Bahagia. Kegiatan ini berlangsung selama empat hari dengan membagi menjadi 2 – 3 sesi per harinya sebagaimana penerapan protocol pencegahan dan pengendalian covid-19 yang melarang adanya kerumunan di suatu tempat tertentu. Dalam kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini diberikan paparan materi tentang penyelenggaraan Pemilihan Wali Kota dan Wakil Wali Kota Balikpapan yang kemudian dilajutkan dengan tes pemahaman. Bertempat di Aula Kelurahan Gunung Bahagia Balikpapan dapat dikatakan bahwa kegiatan berlangsung tertib, aman, dan lancar. Peserta dapat memahami dengan baik tentang penyelenggaraan Pemilihan Wali Kota dan Wakil Wali Kota Balikapan meski masih terdapat beberapa kesalahan dalam mengisi formular C Hasil.

Abstract

Based on increase of added and population growth that occurred in the city of Balikpapan, therefor the needed and demand for residential will increase. This situation is a business opportunity for developers to build housing complex. Before the construction of the necessary studies on the feasibility of investment projects in terms of economic (financial). Investment method used in the study is the Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Payback Period (PP). The purpose of research is to analyze the feasibility of the Borneo Nirwana Residence housing, that  located in the kelurahan of Karang Joang at street of PDAM. Construction planning was conducted for 10 years with a payback period of 3 years accompanied determination MARR of 9%. The data required to analyze the form of the budget plan will be the cost of land, cost of infrastructure, cost of facilities, cost of office operations, as well as the construction costs of residential buildings. From the analysis, with an invesment cost of Rp.12.863.388.400,00 get the NPV for Rp.2.504.756.281,00 or NPV > 0, and the value of IRR at 9,7 % or IRR > MARR, it can be declared investment is feasible. But in terms of paybak period or PP is not feasible because a value of payback period is above of the desire of developers, that is for 8 years or longer than 5 years of time desired.

Abstract

Land transportati on between East Kalimantan and South Kalimantan (Trans of South Kalimantan) is currently separated by Balikpapan baya swideas 1.8 to 3.7 km. This bay separetesthe North Penajam Paser Districtand Balikpapan City, East Kalimantan Province. Thus,crossing facilities are needed to connect the two areas. The facilitiesat this momentare ferries. Based on Technical Design Report Balang Island Bridge (2007), that the crossing facilitiesat this time will not beable to provide services in the future. There for the East Kalimantan Provincial Government made apolicy by building bridgeasone of the infra structure in the Trans of Kalimantan. The Penajam-Balikpapan bridgecon struction on the Balang Island made the trip longer than the ferry. This location were selected based on Pre-Feasibility Penajam- Balikpapan Bridge (1997) from other locations, namely Tanjung Batu-Kampung Baruand Nipah-nipah- Melawai. Based on the three locations, the bridgecon struction site locations were selected based on ranking of Multi Criteria Analysis (MCA) method. MCA is adecision making to oldeveloped for decision making process, using several criteria and select the best alternative based on those criteria. This methodus esperception of stakeholders on variables which are compared in the decision making process. This analysis involves 20 respondents from various sparties, based on criteria of ease of achieving goals, environmental spects, regional evelopment, the development of the road network system, social aspects and the benefit to costanalysis. As theresult, the second location, Tanjung Batu-Kampung Baru getthe first rank, and the third location, Nipah-nipah-Melawai get the second rank and the first location, Balang Island was the thir dranking. Benefit to Cost Ratio (BCR) value of location 2 is 1.33 and the net present value (NPV) is positive (+). This means that the location of Tanjung Batu-Kampung Baru is suitable asabridge construction sitefor Penajam-Balikpapan bridge.

Abstract

The Balikpapan - Samarinda toll road is one part of the trans Kalimantan toll road that arrived currently under construction. The construction of this toll road uses rigid pavement. Road construction This toll road by the East Kalimantan Provincial Public Works Department requires a minimum flexural strength of 45 kg / cm² for 28 days of concrete age. The purpose of this study is to study flexural strength concrete on the rigid pavement of the Balikpapan-Samarinda toll road based on the planning of concrete mixes at field. This study uses experimental methods in the laboratory. Credit samples are made based on concrete mix planning in the field and testing in the laboratory. The sample as many as 24 pieces for a cylinder size of 15 x 30, and 12 pieces for blocks measuring 15 x 15 x 60, which will remain at the age of 7, 14, 21 and 28 days. The results of the strong test on the cylinder is obtained at 382 kg / cm2, 27% bigger than planning, and flexural strength in the beam of 53.48 kg / cm2, 18% greater than requirements. So it can be concluded that the pavement work is rigid on the Balikpapan-Samarinda toll road Has been in accordance with the provisions stipulated by the East Kalimantan Provincial Public Works Department.

Abstract

The problem of providing clean water is currently a special concern for developed countries and developing countries. Indonesia as a developing country cannot be separated from the problem of providing clean water for its people. One of the main problems faced is the lack of available sources of clean water, the uneven distribution of clean water services, especially in rural areas and existing clean water sources that have not been utilized optimally. This study aims to analyze the clean water needs of PDAM Samboja which uses 2 pumps in the next 10 years (2028). By using primary and secondary data obtained from PDAM Samboja and a number of related references, it was found that the IPA clean water needs of PDAM Tirta Mahakam Samboja with 2 pumps, in 2018 amounted to 2,599.5 m3/day. With the estimated results of the number of customers in the next 10 years (2028), the number of water requirements is 3,048 m3/day. Therefore it is necessary to add 1 pump to the PDAM Samboja IPA so that it can still serve the needs of customers in the next 10 years

Abstract

One of the innovations in the use of glass waste in the construction sector is as a mixture of concrete brick. In this research glass dust from a building demolition in the Klandasan area of ​​Balikpapan was used as a substitute for sand in a mixture of concrete brick. This research aims to analyze the use of glass powder as a substitute for sand in a mixture of concrete brick based on SNI 03-0349-1989. Concrete brick specimens are made with a cement and sand ratio of 1: 6. The variation in the replacement of glass powder used is 0%, 25%, and 50% of the composition of the sand. From the results of the analysis it was found that the water absorption capacity of the concrete brick with the addition of glass powder to the mixture of the concrete brick as a substitute for sand in the 0% concrete brick glass powder was 5.13% greater than the variation of 25% glass powder and 17.1% greater than the 50% variation of glass powder. The compressive strength of the concrete brick making with the addition of glass powder as a substitute for sand in the mixture of the concrete brick compressive strength of 25% glass powder is 11.11% better than oncrete brick 0% glass powder and compressive strength of the concrete brick 50% glass powder is better 33.33% than concrete brick 0% glass powder. Based on SNI 03-0349-1989, water absorption and compressive strength on concrete brick with the addition of glass powder as a substitute for sand still meet the requirements

Abstract

This research purposes to evaluate the implementation of the drainage project in Jl. Mulawarman, Gg. Arjuna, Sepinggan. This research uses the CPM (Critical Path Method) and the PERT (Project Evaluation and Review Technique). Based on the budget plan, time schedule, weekly report, documentation and interview found that the result of the CPM with two critical paths are work activities. The first critical path are: Activity A (Mobilization and Demobilization), Activity C (Landfilling activity), Activity F (Concrete works K-175, Ready Mix). The second critical path are: Activity A (Mobilization and Demobilization), Activity E (Begisting work for black channels), and Activity G (Plain U24 Concrete Iron Works). Meanwhile, the result of PERT has 49% chance to be completed with the project duration of 18 weeks.

Abstract

Aspal beton sebagai bahan untuk konstruksi jalan sudah lama dikenal dan digunakan secara luas dalam pembuatan jalan. Laston dikenal sebagai lapisan aus dengan nama AC-WC (Asphalt Concrete -Wearing Course), diameter butir maksimal 19,0 mm, bertekstur halus. Proses produksi semen relatif mahal, sehingga perlu adanya alternatif yaitu Abu Batu Sotek. Hasil penelitian laboratorium mengenai penggunaan abu batu sotek. Sebagai bahan pengisi (filler) Laston AC-WC (Gradasi Halus) mendapatkan hasil pengujian, kadar aspal optimum diperoleh 6,6 %. Menghasilkan desain campuran laston AC-WC gradasi halus dengan penggunaan filler abu batu sotek dapat mempengaruhi nilai karakteristik marshall didapat hasil pengujian dengan spesifikasi menunjukan meningkatnya stabilitas 1059kg > 800 kg, flow 3,15 mm > 3,0 mm, VIM dengan 2 x 75 penumbukan hasil pengujian 2% ≤ 4% ≤ 5%, ,rongga terisi aspal (VFB) hasil pengujian 82% > 65%, dan rongga diantara agregat (VMA) hasil pengujian 20,7% > 15% dan nilai VIM pada kepadatan mutlak 2 x 400 penumbukan adalah 2,2% ≥ 2%, dan stabilitas naik 2532,8 kg > 800kg. Hasil ini memenuhi persyaratan yang diisyaratkan sehingga dapat dijadikan acuan dalam pembuatan job mix formula sebagai pelaksanaan/aplikasi dilapangan.
