Abstract

This study aimed to elicit empirical evidence regarding the effectiveness of principal academic supervision in enhancing teacher performance at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Aceh Barat Daya. It also determines how the execution of the principal's academic supervision affects teacher performance and hence the quality of education. Qualitative research was used in this study. The researchers employed a descriptive method in conjunction with a phenomenological qualitative approach to investigate a social phenomenon or human problem in this study. The data gathering strategies used in this study were structured interviews, observation, and documentation. Academic supervision of the principal at Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Aceh Barat Daya occurred according to the implementation plan, the material being coached, the implementation results, and the feedback from academic supervision implementation to improve the performance of class teachers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to collect empirical data regarding the effectiveness of academic supervision in enhancing teacher professionalism at Lhokseumawe State Vocational High School. Academic supervision must be data-driven and factually accurate. Academic supervision is everyday work that supervisors must perform in order to meet the needs of a dynamic curriculum that is constantly in need of improvement in terms of documentation and context in the field. This research employs a qualitative approach combined with descriptive analysis techniques. The primary data sources for this study were direct interviews with informants, including school principals, teachers, students, observations, and secondary materials culled from various studies of papers, texts, and archives about Academic Supervision implementation. According to the researcher's analysis, the principal has utilized academic supervision to enhance teacher professionalism, as evidenced by the planning of supervision schedules, implementation, assessment of teacher performance using prepared learning instruments, and follow-up on the results of learning supervision. The supervision theory has been implemented effectively, including directing supervision in learning and the conduct of pre-supervision meetings with teacher interviews.

Abstract

This study aims to gather information about the principal's strategy and program for enhancing the quality of learning at SD IT Nurul Ishlah Banda Aceh. The researchers employed a descriptive method in conjunction with a qualitative analysis approach to address the study's difficulties and objectives. It relates to the consideration of data described in the context of the research site's reality. Interview guidelines and observation sheets were utilized as instruments. The Miles and Huberman model was used to analyze the data. The findings indicate that the principal's strategy for improving the quality of learning is based on planning, specifically on developing school programmes that adhere to eight educational standards and three quality standards established by the Integrated Islamic School Network (JSIT). It also needs to build the capacity of teachers and staff to improve the quality of learning, conduct coaching and self-development activities for students, and create an atmosphere of learning based on Ukhuwah Islamiah/family ties in Islam.

Abstract

This study aimed to elicit data regarding the effect of school administrators' leadership styles, work motivation, and work discipline on teacher pedagogical competency. This study employs a quantitative methodology. The researchers conducted a quantitative study to demonstrate the effect of the principal's leadership style, work motivation, and work discipline on the pedagogical competency of teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Badar, Aceh Tenggara Regency. The findings indicate that principal leadership has a considerable effect on teacher performance and that teacher work motivation greatly affects teacher performance. Principal leadership and teacher work motivation have a major impact on teacher performance. The purpose of this study was to elicit data regarding the effect of school administrators' leadership styles, work motivation, and work discipline on teacher pedagogic competency. This study employs a quantitative methodology. The researchers conducted a quantitative study to demonstrate the effect of the principal's leadership style, work motivation, and work discipline on the pedagogical competency of teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Badar, Aceh Tenggara Regency. The findings indicated that principal leadership has a substantial effect on teacher performance, that teacher work motivation has a significant effect on teacher performance, and that principal leadership and teacher work motivation significantly affect teacher performance.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the principal's program in improving teacher performance during the Covid-19 pandemic at SD T. Nyak Arif Fatih Bilingual School, Banda Aceh. This type of research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis used in qualitative research is carried out interactively and takes place continuously until it is complete. Activities in data analysis, namely data reduction, presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. The results of the study concluded that: First, improving teacher performance during the Covid-19 pandemic by implementing a learning application training program to support the online learning process. This training is carried out regularly until the teachers are proficient in running the application. Second, the application of Lesson Study. Lesson Study is an assessment activity carried out by teachers/lecturers together and continuously to test and improve the effectiveness of learning and form a learning community. With Lesson Study, it is hoped that teachers will be more active and share knowledge with each other to support the learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic. Third, the application of the hybrid learning method program. Hybrid Learning is a learning method in which there is a combination of face-to-face learning in the classroom and coupled with offline and online learning using computers. The application of the hybrid learning method in the Covid-19 pandemic era is very helpful for students who are self-isolation, to be able to feel learning like in a classroom but in a different place by being integrated by technology. Through programs run by school principals during the pandemic in improving teacher performance so that it can run as expected and be able to give birth to quality next generation. Abstract

Abstract: During the COVID-19 pandemic, the presence of a supervisor is essential, especially in providing guidance and supervision, conducting evaluations, providing teacher professional training to increase the effectiveness of the learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic. Given the importance of the supervisory role, the ministry of education has issued technical guidelines for implementing supervision during the covid-19 pandemic. This article aims to describe the management of the elementary school supervisor during the covid-19 pandemic in Pidie Regency. The qualitative method with a descriptive model was used in this research, and data was obtained from observations, interviews, and relevant literature reviews. This study found that the supervisors of elementary school had not prepared the supervision program properly. Likewise, the implementation and evaluation are not following the supervisor’s manual and technical instructions for the supervisor during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, the supervision does not positively impact effective learning during the COVID-19 pandemic at elementary schools in Pidie Regency.Abstrak: Di masa pandemi COVID-19, kehadiran seorang pengawas sangat penting, terutama dalam memberikan bimbingan dan supervisi, melakukan evaluasi, memberikan pelatihan profesional guru untuk meningkatkan efektivitas proses pembelajaran selama pandemi Covid-19. Mengingat pentingnya peran pengawas, Kemendikbud telah menerbitkan pedoman teknis pelaksanaan pengawasan selama pandemi Covid-19. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan manajemen pengawas sekolah dasar pada masa pandemi covid-19 di Kabupaten Pidie. Metode kualitatif dengan model deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dan data diperoleh dari observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka yang relevan. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa pengawas sekolah dasar belum mempersiapkan program supervisi dengan baik. Demikian pula, pelaksanaan dan evaluasinya tidak mengikuti pedoman dan petunjuk teknis pengawas masa pandemi COVID-19. Akibatnya, pengawasan yang dilakukan tidak berdampak positif terhadap pembelajaran yang efektif selama pandemi COVID-19 di sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Pidie.

Abstract

Pengembangan Sekolah Menengah Kejurusan (SMK) merupakan keharusan yang tidak dapat dihindari, hal ini terkait dengan upaya melahirkan lulusan SMK yang siap kerja. Untuk itu, diperlukan sebuah model pengembangan sekolah yang sesuai dengan potensi yang dimiliki oleh daerah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas model pengembangan melalui revitalisasi SMK di Aceh yang sudah berjalan dalam tiga tahun terakhir. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa descriptive methode, yaitu menggambarkan secara detail kondisi SMK yang ada di masing-masing daerah studi yang tersebar di Provinsi Aceh berdasarkan kebijakan revitalisasi. Data dikumpulkan melalui telaah dokumentasi, wawancara, dan diskusi kelompok terfokus (Focus Group Discussion) yang sebagiannya dilakukan secara online menyesuaikan dengan SOP kehidupan normal baru dalam masa pandemi Covid-19. Kajian ini menghasilkan kondisi SMK program revitalisasi baik negeri maupun swasta sesuai dengan fokus revitalisasi SMK. Kondisi yang terungkap bahwa tingkat efektivitas revitalisasi masing dalam kategori rendah yang ditunjukkan oleh belum tercapainya dengan baik indikator kesesuaian kurikulum dengan kebutuhan dunia industri, dunia usaha dan dunia kerja secara umum; pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan; kerjasama dengan DUDI; sertifikasi dan akreditasi; dan sarpras dan kelembagaan. Beranjak dari kondisi tersebut diajukan rekomendasi yang dipandu oleh peta jalan revitalisasi SMK dengan rincian langkah untuk setiap fokus revitalisasi di atas.

Abstract

Regional Education Council of Nagan Raya have a role as an independent community-based organization which give its contributions in giving solution or consideration to local government in deciding the education policies. The aims of this research were to find out the planning, the mechanism, the evaluation and the obstacles which faced by Regional Education Council of Nagan Raya in giving its educational contributions. This research was conducted by descriptive method through qualitative approach. The research showed that: (1) Regional Education Council of Nagan Raya has only implemented 7 programs in order to give its contributions to the local government in order develop education quality. (2) The mechanism of program implementation is implemented by a good management through focused on planning, organizing, actuating and controlling. (3) The evaluation which made in every program is implemented by a comprehensive evaluation which focused on every problem and gap which occurred. (4) The main obstacle which faced by Regional Education Council Nagan Raya in giving its educational contributions are about Regent’s political will and the deficit of district budget. Abstrak Majelis Pendidikan Nagan Raya memiliki peran sebagai lembaga independen yang berbasis masyarakat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: perencanaan program, mekanisme pelaksanaan program, evaluasi program dan hambatan-hambatan yang dihadapi Majelis Pendidikan Daerah Kabupaten Nagan Raya dalam memberikan kontribusi pembangunan pendidikan di Kabupaten Nagan Raya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) Majelis Pendidikan Daerah Kabupaten Nagan Raya telah melaksanakan 7 program yang sesuai dengan tugas dan wewenang yang diamanahkan dalam qanun yang berlaku. (2) Mekanisme pelaksanaan program yang dilakukan Majelis Pendidikan Daerah Nagan Raya dijalankan dengan manajemen yang baik yaitu dengan melaksanakan planning, organizing, actuating dan controlling. (3) Evaluasi yang dilakukan Majelis Pendidikan Daerah Kabupaten Nagan Raya tidak dilaksanakan dengan menjalankan fungsi manajemen dengan baik, mealainkam hanya berfokus pada setiap masalah atau kesenjangan yang terjadi pada setiap program melalui observasi langsung. (4) Hambatan utama yang ditemukan Majelis Pendidikan Daerah Kabupaten Nagan Raya dalam memberikan kontribusinya pendidikannya adalah Political Will dari Bupati Nagan Raya serta defisitnya anggaran daerah.

Abstract

The Nagan Raya Education Office is the implementing element of regional autonomy in government affairs in the education sector . The purpose of this research is to determine: program planning, program implementation mechanisms, program evaluation and the obstacles faced by the Education Office in improving the quality of education in primary schools in Nagan Raya District. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The research results show that: (1) The Education Office makes policies in accordance with the results of the work meeting or existing regulations in the Nagan Raya Education Office . (2) The mechanism pelaks anaan program that sealed sanakan by the Education Department Nagan Raya is executed in accordance with the policies made by the Department of Education Nagan Raya or through good management is by way of carrying out the planning, organizing, actuating and controlling . (3) The evaluation carried out by the Nagan Raya Education Office iscarried out comprehensively by focusing on any problems or gaps that occur in each program. (4) The main obstacle that the Nagan Raya Education Office finds in contributing to its education is the Political Will of the Nagan Raya Regent and the deficit in the regional budget. Abstrak Dinas Pendidikan Nagan Raya adalah sebagai unsur pelaksana otonomi daerah pada urusan pemerintahan di bidang pendidikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: perencanaan program, mekanisme pelaksanaan program, evaluasi program dan hambatan-hambatan yang dihadapi oleh Dinas Pendidikan dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan pada sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Nagan Raya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) Dinas Pendidikan membuat kebijakan sesuai dengan hasil raker atau aturan yang ada di Dinas Pendidikan Nagan Raya. (2) Mekanisme pelaksanaan program yang dilaksanakan oleh Dinas Pendidikan Nagan Raya dijalankan sesuai dengan kebijakan yang dibuat oleh Dinas Pendidikan Nagan Raya atau melalui manajemen yang baik yaitu dengan cara melaksanakan planning, organizing, actuating dan controlling. (3) Evaluasi yang dilakukan Dinas Pendidikan Nagan Raya dilaksanakan dengan komprehensif dengan berfokus pada setiap masalah atau kesenjangan yang terjadi pada setiap program. (4) Hambatan utama yang ditemukan Dinas Pendidikan Nagan Raya dalam memberikan kontribusinya pendidikannya adalah Political Will dari Bupati Nagan Raya serta defisitnya anggaran daerah. Abstract

Entrepreneur competence of a school principal is necessary in creating entrepreneurial culture in the school. Based on thid theory, this research was conducted to find out the imlementation of entrepreneur competence of the school principal in creating entrepreneurial culture in Islamic Senior High School (MAN) Model of Banda Aceh. The research was conducting using a qalitative descriptive approach. The data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation study. Teh research subjects were the principal, vice principal, teachers, and students of MAN Model of Banda Aceh. The result indicate that (1) The only program relate to entrepreneurship created by the principal was a school subject, namely Prakarya dan Kewirausahaan (Handcrafting and Entrepreneurship) that has produce many works: (2) The implementation of entrepreneurship programs is carried out through subjects run by the teacher, including theories and practices; and (3) The obstacles encountered by the principal in creating entrepreneurial culture in the school were associated with luck of human resources, facilities, and time devote to develop the skills. Abstrak Kompetensi kewirausahaan kepala sekolah memiliki peranan penting dalam membangun budaya wirausaha di sekolah. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan tentang implementasi kompetensi kewirausahaan kepala sekolah dalam membangun budaya wirausaha di MAN Model Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, guru dan siswa di MAN Model Banda Aceh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Program kewirausahaan oleh kepala sekolah dilakukan melalui berbasis mata pelajaran yaitu prakarya dan kewirausahaan, dari mata pelajaran tersebut menghasilkan berbagai macam karya; (2) Pelaksanaan program kewirausahaan dilakukan melalui mata pelajaran yang dijalankan oleh guru, terdiri dari teori dan praktik; dan (3) Hambatan dalam penerapan program kewirausahaan di sekolah yaitu sumber daya manusia yang belum mumpuni, fasilitas dan terbatasnya waktu untuk mengembangkan skill. Kata Kunci: Kompetensi Kewirausahaan dan Budaya Wirausaha
