Abstract

Abstract.  The aim of this study was to assess the correlation between protein content (N) and the amino acid of the feed material to the holding capacity of zinc and to find out the type of amino acids that contribute to bind Zn. Nineteen feedstuffs used in the experiment, namely soybean meal, catton seed meal, coconut meal, palm meal, distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS), soy sauce waste, tofu waste, blood meal, feathers meal, fish meal, poultry meat meal (PMM) and meat bone meal (MBM), shrimp head meal, cassava leaf flour, sesbania leaf flour, glandiflora leaf flour, leucaenia leaf flour, gliricidia leaf flour, calliandra leaf flour, paraserianthes leaf flour were used. Nitrogen content of all feed ingridient was analyzed using Kejhdahl. The material was immersed in a solution of ZnO with a ratio N: Zn = 10: 1 for 24 hours then dried, subsequently the samples were analyzed to Zn bound in the protein feedstuffs (Zn-proteinate) and amino acid levels. Regression analysis was conducted to determine the correlation between the protein and amino acid content of feed ingredients with Zn-proteinate generated. Results of the study found that the average efficiency of incorporation of Zn-proteinate amounted to 47.87%. Feed ingredients that have the highest level of incorporation of soybean meal (73.71%). There is a positive correlation between crude protein content with the level of incorporation of Zn (Zn-proteinate). The results of non-linear regression analysis of the amino acid to the Zn-proteinate indicate that there were four amino acids that have a positive correlation with Zn-proteinate that aspartic acid, glutamic acid, arginine and tyrosine. The conclusion of this study is to increase the protein content of feed ingredients and amino acids aspartic acid, glutamic acid, arginine and tyrosine lead to increased levels of Zn-proteinate (Zn incorporation). Key words : Zn proteinatee, amino acid, corelation, feed ingredients. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan korelasi antara protein (N) dan asam amino dari berbagai bahan pakan sumber protein dengan daya ikat (inkorporasi) ion Zn pada pembuatan mineral organik Zn-proteinate. Sembilan belas bahan pakan digunakan dalam percobaan, yaitu bungkil kedelai, bungkil biji kapok, bungkil kelapa, bungkil sawit, distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS), ampas kecap, ampas tahu, tepung darah, tepung bulu, tepung ikan, tepung kepala udang, poultry meat meal (PMM), meat bone meal (MBM), tepung daun ketela pohon, tepung daun turi, tepung daun lamtoro, tepung daun gamal, tepung daun kaliandra dan tepung daun sengon. Bahan-bahan tersebut direndam dalam larutan ZnO dengan perbandingan N : Zn  =  10 : 1 selama 24 jam lalu dikeringkan dan dianalisis kadar Zn-proteinate serta kadar asam aminonya. Uji regresi dilakukan untuk mengetahui korelasi antara kadar protein dan asam amino bahan pakan dengan kadar Zn-proteinate yang dihasilkan. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan bahwa rata-rata efisiensi inkorporasi Zn-proteinate adalah sebesar 47,87%. Bahan pakan yang mempunyai tingkat inkorporasi tertinggi yaitu bungkil kedelai (73,71%). Terdapat korelasi positif antara kandungan protein kasar dengan tingkat inkorporasi Zn (kadar Zn-proteinate). Hasil analisis regresi non linier asam amino terhadap kadar Zn-proteinate menunjukkan bahwa terdapat empat asam amino yang mempunyai korelasi positif dengan kadar Zn-proteinate yaitu asam aspartat, asam glutamat, arginin dan tirosin. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah peningkatan kadar protein bahan pakan dan kadar asam amino  asam aspartat, asam glutamat, arginin dan tirosin menyebabkan peningkatan kadar Zn-proteinate (inkorporasi Zn). Kata kunci : Zinc, protein, asam amino, korelasi, Zn proteinate.

Abstract

The relationship between socio-economic factors, preference, and comparison of fluid milk consumption behavior between urban and rural consumers were explored in this study. The respondents were housewives or adult family member who responsible for food shopping. Respondents had positive perception of product characteristics and attributes. Socio-economic variables namely income, education level and family size found significantly have relationship with fluid milk consumption behavior. Product characteristics and attributes found significantly correlated with fluid milk consumption behavior. This research found highly significant difference (p0.01) of fluid milk consumption behavior between urban and rural respondents. This paper underlined that fluid milk producers should maintain the continuity and quality of their products. The government should improve their role in the mechanism of controlling and supervising the quality of fluid milk and give guarantee in the stability of price and equal distribution in all urban and rural areas.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan paritas, lingkar dada dan umur kebuntingan dengan produksi susu. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan tanggal 28 Desember 2015-30 Maret 2016 di Balai Besar Pembibitan Ternak Unggul dan Hijauan Pakan Ternak Baturraden, Banyumas Jawa Tengah. Materi yang digunakan adalah 34 ekor sapi Friesian Holstein dalam masa laktasi bunting. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode observasional dengan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi dan uji korelasi dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 16. Variabel independen terdiri dari paritas, lingkar dada dan umur kebuntingan serta variabel dependen terdiri dari produksi susu rata- rata harian dan satu masa laktasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ukuran lingkar dada rata-rata dari paritas I sampai V berturut turut adalah 180 ± 7,8 cm, 199 ± 9,7 cm, 201 ± 9,4 cm, 207 ± 11,7 cm dan 200 ± 4,2 cm. Produksi susu rata - rata satu masa laktasi 4025,2 + 1395,6 kg (13,2 ± 4,6 kg/hari). Paritas, lingkar dada dan umur kebuntingan tidak memiliki hubungan yang nyata dengan produksi susu (p 0,05). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa produksi susu tidak memiliki hubungan dengan paritas, lingkar dada dan umur kebuntingan. (The relationship between parity, chest circumference and gestational age with milk yield of Friesian Holstein in BBPTU-HPT Baturraden) ABSTRACT. This study investigated the relationship between milk yield and parity, chest circumference, gestation age in lactating pregnant dairy cow. Research was conducted in December 28, 2015-March 30, 2016 at the Balai Besar Pembibitan Ternak Unggul dan Hijauan Pakan Ternak Baturraden, Banyumas, Central Java. Recording data from 34 pregnant dairy cows were used in this study. The observational method with purposive sampling technique was used. The data were analyzed using regression analysis and correlation with SPSS version 16. The independent variables were parity, chest circumference and gestation age, whereas the dependent variable was milk yield. The result showed that the chest circumference of the cow were 180 ± 7,8 cm, 199 ± 9,7 cm, 201 ± 9,4 cm, 207 ± 11,7 cm and 200 ± 4,2 cm for the 1st to 5th parity, respectively. Total milk yield for 305 days of lactation period was 4025,2 ± 1395,6 kg (13,2 ± 4,6 kg/d). There were no significant correlations between parity, chest circumference and gestational age with milk yield (p0.05). It is suggested that milk yield is not strongly related to parity, chest circumference and gestational age.

Abstract

Go Organic program already released since 2010 by Ministry of Agriculture to increase the implementation of organic farming in Indonesia. This research was aimed to analyze the strength, weakness, opportunity and threat and also to formulate developing strategy of organic rice in Semarang Regency. Survei method with structured questionnaires were used in this research, with farmers, consumers, distributors, cooperatives’ management and government employees (Ministry of Agriculture) as the respondents. Validity and reliability test were conducted to measure the questionnaires. Data were analyzed by SWOT analysis and IE matrics. Results showed that organic rice farming in Susukan District is located on Kuadran I with coordinates (0.61; 0.95). Internal result in IE matrics is 2.69 and external one is 2.52. It means that it’s on growth stability position (concentration through horizontal integration). The developing strategy that can be implemented are as followed: increasing the production of organic farming by optimizing existing resources; maintaining the quality of organic rice products and the brand image to the communities; expanding market networks by maintaining a good relationship and cooperation; improving the distribution channels; improving marketing promotion through the media; increasing farmers’ knowledge and skills by management training and financial management; strengthening the farmers’ capital by developing the cooperative; maintaining and empowering farmers’ groups.

Abstract

This study described the implementation of applicable technology in woman farmer’s group in Mendongan Village, Sumowono, Semarang Regency. The program is aimed to share knowledge of sweet potatoes processing in order to increase the family income of the group. Counseling and baking class is conducted to gain the participation and skill of the group member. A sweet potato cutter machine is made to improve the activities and performance of the group. The program is succeeded and gave benefit to the group.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat preferensi dan urutan kepentingan konsumen terhadap sayuran hidroponik di Hidroponik Agrofarm Bandungan. Sebanyak 100 orang responden konsumen hidroponik di Agrofarm Bandungan yang merupakan konsumen lama dan baru, terpilih untuk menjawab pertanyaan dalam kuesioner. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus. Metode penentuan lokasi menggunakan metode purposive. Metode penentuan responden menggunakan purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data dengan wawancara menggunakan kuisioner terstruktur. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analisis Konjoin dengan kombinasi sebanyak 24 atribut. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian sayuran hidroponik yang paling disukai konsumen adalah jenis Salada Locarno. Urutan preferensi kombinasi atribut sayuran hidroponik yang paling diprioritaskan oleh konsumen berturut-turut adalah fisik, warna, tingkat kesegaran, dan harga sayuran.Kata kunci: Sayuran hidroponik; preferensi konsumen; analisis konjoin

Abstract

Abstrak Pertanian organik menjadi tren saat ini dan berpotensi usaha pertanian yang berkelanjutan. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis kekuatan bisnis dan daya tarik usaha beras organik di Kabupaten Semarang. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan metode survei dengan menggunakan kuesioner terstruktur. Lokasi penelitian yaitu di Kecamatan Susukan, Kabupaten Semarang yang dipilih secara purposif. Responden penelitian yaitu pelaku usaha pertanian padi organik yang berjumlah 60 responden mencakup faktor lingkungan internal dan eksternal, yang terdiri atas 30 petani, 5 distributor, 2 penyuluh pertanian, 3 pegawai koperasi (kreditur) dan 20 konsumen. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis General Elektrik Matrix. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kekuatan bisnis yang utama yaitu kualitas produk (beras organik) dan daya tarik yang utama yaitu pada dampak lingkungan. Kekuatan bisnis termasuk kategori sedang dan daya tarik termasuk kategori tinggi dengan posisi GE Matrix ada pada sel 5 (59.63;69.13). peningkatan kekuatan bisnis dan daya tarik dengan melakukan evaluasi potensi untuk mengembangkan pasar dengan melakukan segmentasi, serta mengevaluasi kelemahan dan membangun kekuatan usaha.Keywords: Kekuatan bisnis; daya tarik; beras organic; General elektrik matrix

Abstract

The objectives of the research were 1) Identifying of marketing channels on each marketing institutions 2) Identifiying marketing functions which performed by each marketing institutions 3) Analyzing of marketing margins on each marketing channels 4) Analyzing farmer’s share which performed by each marketing institutions on Sumowono District. The research was conducted in March 2017 until April 2017. The methodology and collecting data was executed through survey, observation, and interview using quetionnaire.The research was held in Sumowono District which the most productive of coffee on Semarang Regency. The location of research were held on 3 villages which were Pledokan’s Village, Ngadikerso’s Village and Kebonagung’s Village, those villages were chosen because that 3 village were guided by Balai Penyuluh Petanian in Sumowono District. The respondents consisted of farmers and traders Robusta coffee. Respondent farmers are 30 respondents which determined by Multistage Sampling. Respondents traders and agent are 15 respondents which determined by Accidental Sampling. The result of research was showed that there are four channels trading system that happened in Sumowono District which are (I) Farmer – Whole Saler – Traders Expoters (II) Farmer – Traders Village – Retail – Consumer (III) Farmer – Traders Village – Whole Saler – Retail – Traders Exporters (IV) Farmer – Traders Village – Whole Saler – Retail – Consumer. Each marketing institutions perform a difference of marketings function.  Marketing’s margin and farmer’s share’s value of the analysis on marketing’s channel I are equal Rp. 5.983,00 and 80,70%, channel II are equal Rp. 6.912,00 and 78%, channel III are equal Rp. 8.918,00 and 74% and channel IV are equal Rp. 10.000,00 and 71%, as well the most efficient marketing channel is channel I. Keyword : farmer’s share; function; coffee; channel; marketing.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian mengkaji persepsi konsumsi susu cair pada konsumen di wilayah perkotaan dan pedesaan. Responden adalah ibu rumah tangga atau anggota keluarga dewasa yang bertanggung jawab dalam belanja pangan keluarga. Responden penelitian mempunyai persepsi positif terhadap karakteristik dan atribut produk susu cair. Karakteristik dan atribut produk berkorelasi positif dengan perilaku konsumsi susu cair. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa perilaku konsumsi susu cair antara masyarakat pedesaan dan perkotaan berbeda sangat nyata (p0,01). Makalah ini menggaris bawahi bahwa produsen susu cair hendaknya menjaga kontinyuitas dan kualitas produknya. Pemerintah hendaknya mengembangkan peran dalam mekanisme pengawasan dan supervisi kualitas produk susu serta memberikan jaminan dalam stabilitas harga dan distribusi yang merata di seluruh wilayah perkotaan dan pedesaan.      Kata kunci: susu cair, persepsi, konsumsi, perkotaan, pedesaan

Abstract

The paper explores goat breeders’ perception and preferences toward livestock insurance. The respondents of the study were goat breeders in Manunggal IV farmers’ group in Semarang Regency, Central Java Province. Descriptive analysis was used to illustrate the perception variables. The methodology was then followed by Conjoint analysis to explore the preferences of goat breeders toward livestock insurance based on three attributes. The study found that goat breeders have a negative perception toward livestock insurance product, although they are aware of climate change. The results showed that the preferences’ utility of flexible premium insurance, outbreak coverage, and less than 1-month claim process are the best option. Premium insurance cost is the most important factor in the livestock insurance product.Keywords: Conjoint analysis, livestock insurance, preferences.
