Abstract

Betta fish (Betta splendens) is one type of freshwater ornamental fish that has the potential to be cultivated because it has high economic value. This study aims to determine the appropriate substrate for hatchability of betta fish eggs. This study uses a non factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments were control (treatment A), dried ketapang leaf substrate (treatment B), dried coconut leaf substrate (treatment C) and dried banana leaf substrate (D). The container used is a jar with a volume of 10 l and filled with water as much as 5 l, dense stocking of betta fish eggs as much as 50 grains / liter. Observation parameters included hatching time, hatchability and survival rate of betta fish larvae. The results of this study were analyzed using the one way Anova test. The results showed that the use of different substrates significantly affected the egg hatchability and survival rate of betta fish (P <0.05). The best results were found in treatment B giving ketapang leaves with an egg hatchability value of 89% and survival rate of betta fish larvae of 80%..

Abstract

Tilapia is one of the economically valuable freshwater fishery commodities, the development of tilapia aquaculture continues to increase, premature sex maturity often occurs in tilapia when the enlargement process is mixed between male and female sexes. Eggplant wavers (Solanum torvum) is one of the plants that can be used to inhibit the reproduction process because it contains sterol carpesterol and solasodine compounds. This study aims to determine the Gonad Maturity Index in male and female tilapia and the development of spermatogenesis in male tilapia. The experimental design used was a non factorial Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 4 replications. As treatment includes treatment A (control), treatment B (50 grams of eggplant weight), and treatment C (100 grams of eggplant weight) mixed in feed. The results showed that the addition of balanced eggplant in the feed to the IKG did not show differences between treatments, while the results of histological tests on spermatogenesis gave a positive trend in inhibiting microscopic testicular tilapia cells.

Abstract

The keurling fish (Tor soro) is a freshwater fish that has an economical value, with a thick, delicious texture of the flesh. so much popular community. It is indicated by the high demand for the keurling fish meat at a higher price. This research aims to determine how the behavior of the fish larvae in responding to feed supply when the egg yolk starts to thinning and which type of feed is more responded to by the fish larva keurling. The design used in this research is a mixed method design with embedded design with a single container of three treatments, i.e. feeding (artemia), polar red and feed paste. The observed Parameter is the response of a keurling fish larva to feed. The results showed that the feed was very well responded by the fish larva keurling was well-reviewed polar red artemia and the feed paste was not responded at all by the larva of keurling fish.

Abstract

Kualitas air merupaka faktor yang sangat penting dan sangat berpengaruh dalam lingkungan budidaya, kualitas air juga di pengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor seperti faktor fisika dan kimia. Cangkang langkitang (Faunus ater) merupakan limbah yang dapat di gunakan sebagai adorben, karena mengandung kalsium turunan dari CaCO3 yang secara fisik memiliki pori-pori yang mampu mengikat ion logam. Karakteristik cangkang langkitang kalsium yang berbentuk CaCO3 setelah di kalsinasi pada suhu 800oC selama 2 jam. Dengan karakteristik analisa BET adorben cangkang langkitang memiliki volume mikropori 0,004 cc/g, luas permukaan 10,791 m2/g, luas permukaan mikropori 11,375 m2/g, dan radius pori-pori 16,075 Ȧ. Penelitian ini di laksanakan selama 45 hari, dengan menggunakan analisis data secara deskriptif  dengan perlakuan A (tanpa penambahan adsorben cangkang langkitang), B (penambahan adsorben cangkang langkitang sebanyak 0,5%), C (penambahan adsorben cangkang langkitang 1%) dan D (penambahan adsorben cangkang langkitang sebanyak 1,5%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan adsorben cangkang langkitang mampu mereduksi amoniak pada perlakuan B dengan penambahan adsorben sebanyak 0,5% yang memiliki nilai 0,091 mg/l disusul pada perlakuan C (1%) dengan nilai amonia 0,075 mg/l. Sedangkan nilai amoniak yang mengalami peningkatan pada perlakuan A (0%) dengan kadar amoniak 0,134 mg/l dan perlakuan D (1,5%) dengan kadar amoniak 0,166 mg/l, dengan nilai  suhu kisaran 28-300C dan pH 7-8.

Abstract

The fish Tor Soro or better known among Acehnese people with the name keurling fish is one of freshwater fish. The hatching process generally lasts faster at higher temperatures because at high temperatures the metabolic process runs faster so that the development of the embryo will be faster, resulting in the movement of the embryos in a more intensive shell. The problems that often arise in the hatching of keurling eggs are many eggs that do not hatch due to the temperature that is not suitable. The research draft used in this study is a complete randomized design consisting of 4 treatments and 3 repeats. The results showed that the best temperature in the hatching of Keurling fish eggs was 22 ° C.

Abstract

Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) is one type of freshwater fish that is much in demand by the community because it has a high nutritional content so that many fish farmers cultivate these fish. Water quality is one of the factors that influence the enlargement of tilapia, therefore the use of combined filters (biological and chemical) in the recirculation system can be used as a solution. The purpose of this study was to determine the best growth of tilapia that was kept using a combined filter in the recirculation system. This study uses a comparison test as the treatment is treatment A; combined filter in the recirculation system, B; without recirculation. The parameters observed were survival rate, absolute weight growth, length growth and specific growth rate. The results showed that the use of combined filters in the recirculation system showed a significant effect on survival and not significantly different from absolute growth, length growth and specific growth rate. Treatment A is the best treatment with a survival rate of 100%, absolute weight growth of 3.44 grams, growth length of 5.73 cm and specific growth rate of 2.78%.

Abstract

Dalam rangka mengurangi penggunaan bahan baku impor sebagai bahan baku pembuatan pakan, diperlukannya pemanfaatan bahan baku alternatif sebagai solusi. Salah satu bahan baku alternatif yang dapat digunakan adalah tanaman Indigofera zollingeriana karena memiliki kandungan nutrisi yang cukup dan kelimpahannya yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana responsif benih, tingkah laku benih dan karakteristik fisik pakan berbahan baku tepung daun Indigofera zollingeriana hasil fermentasi menggunakan bakteri Bacillus sp. dan Lactobacillus sp. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian RAL (Rancangan Acak Lengkap) faktorial dengan 2 faktor yaitu jenis bakteri dan lama waktu fermentasi. Perlakuan terdiri atas 6 perlakuan 3 ulangan, sebagai perlakuan B1 (Bacillus sp. fermentasi 24 jam), B2 (Bacillus sp. fermentasi 48 jam), B3 (Bacillus sp. fermentasi 72 jam), L1 (Lactobacillus sp. fermentasi 24 jam), L2 (Lactobacillus sp. fermentasi 48 jam) dan L3 (Lactobacillus sp. fermentasi 72 jam). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan B1 (Bacillus sp. fermentasi 24 jam) merupakan perlakuan yang menunjukkan respons terhadap benih ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus), dengan lama waktu responsif 5,11 detik, persentase responsif 75,00%, tingkah laku responsif terhadap pakan dan karakteristik pakan bewarna hijau pucat, beraroma khas daun fermentasi, dengan tekstur pakan yang berserat.

Abstract

The majority of people work as fishermen and their geographical location on the coast make Gampong Alue Naga produce quite a lot of fishery waste, especially oyster shells. Its use will have many good impacts on people's lives because in addition to reducing waste that interferes with the environment, the use of oyster shells can also reduce costs for animal feed and provide additional income for families. The target of this activity is fishermen housewives who generally also work as oyster seekers, so that they have no trouble finding raw materials and the waste they produce can be used immediately. The results of this activity are considered very satisfactory because the participants of the activity can understand the process of processing oyster shells, understand the use of the grit flour produced and directly utilize the grit flour product as animal feed.

Abstract

Salah satu permasalahan yang terjadi di kalangan remaja adalah penyalah gunaan narkoba. Penyalahgunaan narkoba yang berawal dari coba pakai tertinggi berada di kalangan pelajar. Penyalahgunaan narkoba di kalangan pelajar atau mahasiswa akan berpengaruh negatif terhadap kelangsungan pembangunan nasional. Salah satu hal yang menyebabkan pelajar menyalahgunakan narkoba adalah kurangnya informasi tentang bahaya narkoba serta umur yang masih rentan dengan pengaruh luar atau labil dalam berpikir. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan untuk memberikan informasi tentang bahaya narkoba adalah melalui penyuluhan dengan metode ceramah. Kegiatan penyuluhan di laksanakan di SMP N 1 Simpang Tiga dengan harapan dapat menambah kesadaran pelajar akan bahaya penyalahgunaan obat-obatan terlarang. Mindset menjadi genereasi pembangun bangsa yang memerangi narkoba perlu ditumbuhkan sejak dini secara stimultan. Kegiatan penyuluhan yang dilakukan secara konsisten akan lebih memiliki dampak yang signifikan.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis kayu apa saja yang digunakan dalam pembuatan kapal kayu tradisional, serta memahami alasan penggunaan kapal kayu yang belum ditinggalkan oleh masyarakat Gampong Jawa. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian kayu yang digunakan yaitu kayu Alaban (Manee) dengan kelas awet I dan kelas kuat I, Balau (Seumantok) dengan kelas awet I dan kelas kuat I,II, Meuranti dengan kelas awet III,IV dan kelas kuat II,IV dan Bungur yang memiliki tingkat kekuatan yang tinggi dan tahan terhadap serangan organisme laut. Kapal kayu masih digunakan karena kayu lebih mudah digunakan dan lebih ekonomis. Alasan pekerja kapal tidak menggunakan fiber sebab biayanya yang lebih tinggi.
