Abstract

Interpersonal communication is very important in the interaction of a goodrelationship between the nurse with the elderly in a nursing home. Through interpersonalcommunication can nurses know how to build a good relationship with the elderly, causing asense of comfort for the elderly in old spends his days in a nursing home. The purpose of thisstudy is to explain how the effectiveness of interpersonal communication with the elderly andnurses know what interpersonal communication disorders among nurses with elderly in anursing home. The usefulness of this study are expected to contribute significantly to thedevelopment of science communication and serve as an input for further research.This research was conducted in a nursing home UPT PSTW Khusnul Khotimah Riauprovince, located on the road Kaharudin Nasution Pekanbaru. This research uses descriptivequalitative research methods that describe and interpret the data. Informants in this studywere nurses, the elderly, and the head of a nursing home by using techniques aimedinformants, purposiv. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, anddocumentation.The results of this study indicate that braided interpersonal communication by thenurse with the elderly has been operating effectively in a nursing home UPT PSTW KhusnulKhotimah. The problems faced by elderly nursing elderly is a condition that is affected byvarious factors such as the elderly who are old age, the presence of the illness, the elderlywho are already emotionally unstable, elderly and their families feel left out so it is placed ina nursing home, which causes the elderly feel comfortable in his old days spent in a nursinghome. The effectiveness of interpersonal communication conducted with elderly nurse is ableto evoke the spirit, motivation, self-confidence and the elderly, in order to feel comfortable inelderly nursing home by considering five aspects, namely openness, empathy, positiveattitude, being supportive, and equality. Impaired interpersonal communication betweennurses with elderly include three things: physical disorders, psychological disorders, andsemantic disorders.Keywords : Interpersonal, Communication, Nursing Home

Abstract

The issue of damage to the Mandeh tourist area, Pesisir Selatan Regency has gone viral in various print and online media since April 2017. The damage was reported in connection with a project that involved elements of investors, provincial officials and politicians. As a result of the crisis there was a conflict between the regent and the deputy regent. This research questions how the position of PR / Public Relations of the Government in the conflict between the pair of regional heads, environmental communication crisis, tourism and internal communication of the South Pesisir Regency Government. The data were obtained through focus group discussions (FGD), in-depth interviews and field observations. The study found that government public relations did not take any action to overcome the crisis because they were collided by the main duties and functions of the Regent. Public relations also does not face a dilemma because it takes sides with one of the actors in conflict.

Abstract

Pemerintahan Nagari merupakan sebuah wahana bagi penyelenggaraan pemerintahan terdepan di tingkat daerah. Nagari dapat berbenah diri dengan menjadikan dirinya sebagai cerminan miniatur sebuah Negara. Nagari sebagai ujung tombak penyelenggaraan pemerintahan daerah harus mampu mewujudkan pelayanan yang prima kepada masyarakat. Melalui pelatihan, ceramah, dan diskusi, pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan tema Pelatihan Aparatur Pemerintah Nagari dalam Rangka Mewujudkan Pelayanan Prima dilaksanakan di Nagari Talang Anau, Kecamatan Gunuang Omeh, Kabupaten 50 Kota). Kegiatan ini melibatkan stakeholders pemerintah nagari (wali nagari dan perangkat) dengan tujuan meningkatkan sensitivitas terhadap praktek pelayanan publik yang baik dan memberikan pemahaman kepada peserta tentang pentingnya penyelenggaran pelayanan publik yang prima. Kegiatan didukung oleh segenap aparatur pemerintah nagari (wali nagari dan perangkat). Pihak pemerintah Nagari antusias dan berharap kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat berlanjut serta Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Universitas Andalas dan Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Andalas dapat menjembatani kebutuhan aparatur pemerintah nagari terkait praktek pelayanan publik.

Abstract

This research discusses LGBT content in social media and perception young people group in behave (survey of instagram users young people group in Bukittinggi City). The goal is to determine the effect of the LGBT Content in Social Media Instagram and Perception Young People group of Bukittinggi City on Behave. At this point where the ease of obtaining this information can not be separated from the influence of social media as a primary medium that was instrumental, one of which is Instagram. Instagram could potentially affect user perception in the LGBT Content behave especially at this time, where instagram provide a direct facility to show photos and videos and not too put writing is certainly preferred a young audience because social media is a variable that secretly affect individual and social constructs. All depends on how society can respond with critical information regarding this LGBT Content. In theory Cultivation Theory. Methods that will be used in this research is a quantitative method of explanation. Data collection techniques used in this study using instagram users survey with using a questionnaire.

Abstract

Communication that can reduce the risk of infrastructure projects because with communication people can achieve common ground-supporting views that are then transformed for good cooperation. Therefore, communication plays a very important role in achieving success in infrastructure project work. In West Sumatera there are no expensive infrastructure projects that end in problems. Communication plays an important role in academic-study infrastructure projects carried out in full by communication science learners on this issue. To overcome this scarcity, this study will discuss the processes, characteristics, power relations and causes of the failure of infrastructure projects from the perspective of communication science, more specifically Public Relations. The analysis of this research begins by mapping out discussions discussing the implementation of projects carried out by the Government, especially in this research in the Government of West Sumatera Province, narrating the interests of the community by exploring their experience and analyzing domains that have the potential to study communication phenomena that occur in infrastructure project implementation.

Abstract

One of the PR activities is promotion, in this case public relations must promote tourism potential spread throughout the province of West Sumatra. West Sumatra area is very rich in tourist destinations, it is unfortunate if the promotion is carried out by certain parties who have high awareness of the tourism potential of West Sumatra. But today, new media is not only used in the fields of journalism, politics, marketing, but has also penetrated the world of public relations. Therefore, in this study the results of the study found that the role of public relations in managing social media as a medium for promoting tourism in Sumatra is in accordance with the role of public relations stated by Dozier and Broom, which plays a role as Communication Facilitator, Communication Technician, Problem Solving Process Facilitator, with Constraints faced by West Sumatra Province Public Relations in using social media in the promotion of tourism is in terms of the effectiveness of social media management, it is seen that the potential and condition of the HR officers of the Public Relations Bureau that are available, compared to the workload of the Public Relations Bureau, is felt to be inadequate.

Abstract

The city of Pekanbaru is a strategic area where the population is increasing and becoming a metropolitan city. The rapid development of Pekanbaru City is also reflected in the rapid growth of businesses in various places, with various business sectors. One of the most prominent efforts is the business in the culinary field. Almost in every corner of the culinary business available in the city of Pekanbaru with a variety of culinary choices. The great desire of culinary entrepreneurs in the city of Pekanbaru in carrying out their business, maintaining, developing to become bigger and then reaching the peak. In this case, three culinary ventures in Pekanbaru, namely Martabak Djoeragan, Mini Chef and Waroenk Baper, require marketing communication in the introduction of their culinary business to the community, not only as an introduction but also to maintain the existence of their business. This study uses quality methods. The results of this study indicate that the clinical marketing communication of the clinicians in Pekanbaru Kta through advertising activities, sales promotion activities, public relations and public relations activities, personal sales activities, direct marketing activities, event activities and experiences. Besides marketing communication is also associated with brand equity, which is seen from brand awareness and response to the brand. The use of New Media is very important in maintaining, introducing, and developing its business.

Abstract

Sektor pariwisata sempat redup akibat pandemi Covid-19, hal ini karena kebijakan PSBB yang menutup segala kegiatan yang dapat menimbulkan keramaian. Pemerintah meminimalisir kemungkinan penularan virus corona dari cluster tempat wisata, segala aktifitas wisata dihentikan secara total. Namun demikian, pelaku usaha kini mulai dapat bernapas lega karena beberapa tempat pariwisata dibuka pada fase adaptasi kebiasaan baru (AKB) dengan menerapkan protokol kesehatan yang ketat. Penerapan Adaptasi Kebiasaan Baru atau yang dinamakan dengan AKB, mulai diterapkan pemerintah semenjak Bulan Juli 2020. AKB (Adaptasi Kebiasaan Baru) ini sudah mulai disosialisasikan oleh pemerintah baik melalui media Televisi, Sosial Media, pusat informasi ke berbagai lembaga dan sosialisasi langsung ke pemerintah daerah setempat. Salah satu provinsi yang terdampak pandemi yaitu Sumatera Barat, terjadi penurunan kunjungan wisatawan yang tentunya berpengaruh pada branding pariwisata Sumatera Barat. Sebagai salah satu sektor yang terdampak, maka pemerintah khususnya provinsi Sumatera Barat harus mendesain model komunikasi komunikasi city branding pariwisata ditengah Adaptasi kebiasaan baru Pandemi Covid-19.

Abstract

A critical theory of communication (or economics, or politics) needs to involve a critique of society as a whole. Critical communication theory deals with a variety of relevant topics, including language, organizational structure, interpersonal relations, and the media. Communication itself according to a critical perspective is a result of the pressure (tension) between individual creativity in providing a framework for messages and social constraints. Development in the millennium era The Millennium Development Goals (MDG's) have one of the goals of which is towards the equal partnership of men and women by increasing justice and gender equality in every development sector. However, the problem of gender inequality is indicated by the low quality of life and the role of women, the high number of acts of violence against women as measured by the Gender-related Development Index (GDI) and the Gender Empowerment Index (GEM). Abstract

Keterbukaan informasi publik menjadi jembatan pemerintah daerah Provinsi Sumatera Barat dengan pemerintah Desa dan Nagari untuk peninjaurn pembangunan. Bahkan Nagari III Koto Aur Malintang Kabupaten Padang Pariaman Provinsi Sumatera Barat, berhasil meraih penghargaan berprestasi “Informatif” dari Komisi Informasi Sumatera Barat yang mengemas komunikasi Nagari kepada Masyarakat dari seluruh Daerah Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Pemetaan model komunikasi di Nagari III Koto Aur Malintang penting untuk dilihat karena pemerintahan Nagari ini memiliki struktural Pejabat Pengelola Informasi Publik (PPID) atau yang biasa dikenal dengan Humas Pemerintah. Humas Pemerintah ini mengelola roda aspirasi masyarakat di Nagari sehingga berperan atas kemajuan Nagari. Model komunikasi Humas Pemerintah Nagari III Koto Aur Malintang ini dipelajari secara detil proses, karakteristik, power relations dengan perspektif komunikasi pemerintahnya. analisis penelitian dimulai dengan memetakan persoalan-persoalan yang dihadapi humas pemerintah sebagai Pejabat Pengelola Informasi dan Dokumentasi berfungsi sebagai pengelola dan penyampai dokumen yang dimiliki oleh badan publik sesuai dengan amanat UU 14/2008 tentang keterbukaan informasi publik di Nagari III Koto Aur Malintang Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan paradigma konstruktivisme. subjek penelitian adalah Pejabat Humas Pemerintah di Nagari III Koto Aur Malintang, Wali Nagari, praktisi media, dan pemangku kepentingan yang mewakilkan masyarakat Nagari. Hasil penelitian melihat model komunikasi humas pemerintah memiliki peran dalam pembangunan hubungan fungsional dengan publik melalui kerjasama dengan pemangku adat bersama anak Nagari dalam rangka publikasi kegiatan Nagari III Koto Aur Malintang sehingga menunjang pemerataan pembangunan di Nagari.
