Abstract

Interpersonal communication anxiety is a mental health issue that may be encountered by individuals, including those who are enrolled in academic institutions. Individuals who exhibit low levels of confidence and evaluate themselves unfavorably in social interactions may experience interpersonal communication anxiety directed towards themselves. The objective of this research is to establish a correlation between confidence and anxiety in interpersonal communication among college students residing in Makassar city. The present study employs quantitative methodologies. The present study employed an accidental sampling method, with a sample size of 470 participants (n = 470). The researcher utilized self-confidence and interpersonal communication anxiety scales that were compiled for the purposes of this study. The statistical analysis of the research data was conducted using the Spearman Test, utilizing the SPSS 22.0 software for Windows. The findings indicate that a statistically significant inverse correlation exists between self-assurance and anxiety related to interpersonal communication among undergraduate students residing in Makassar city (p=0.000, r=-0.156). This study found that the greater the level of self-confidence, the lower the level of interpersonal communication anxiety; conversely, the lower the level of self-confidence, the higher the level of interpersonal communication anxiety in Makassar city college students. The findings of this study may help students avoid more serious mental health issues by lowering their levels of worry about interpersonal communication.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini, yaitu: (1) Untuk mengetahui gambaran kebutuhan pengembangan buku panduan bimbingan kelompok outbound untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, (2) untuk mengetahui prototipe buku panduan bimbingan kelompok outbound  dan (3) Untuk mengetahui tingkat validasi Buku Panduan Bimbingan Kelompok Outbound  untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Siswa. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research & Development) yang dikembangkan oleh Borg and Gall. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) pengembangan buku panduan bimbingan kelompok outbound  untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa sangat dibutuhkan oleh Guru BK dan peserta didik hal tersebut ditunjukkan dengan kurangnya motivasi belajar siswa, pelaksanaan bimbingan kelompok yang hanya dilakukan di dalam ruangan dan kondisi lokasi pondok pesantren yang memungkinkan untuk melakukan kegiatan outbound, (2) prototype buku panduan bimbingan kelompok outbound  merupakan media yang dirancang dalam bentuk buku yang berisi panduan pelaksanaan bimbingan yang memanfaatkan dinamika kelompok dalam bentuk permainan yang dilakukan diluar ruangan sebagaimana konsep  yang diusung oleh mentri pendidikan dan kebudayaan yang mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa karena di dalam buku panduan tersebut terdapat aspek-aspek yang di terapkan dimana aspek tersebut merupakan beberapa faktor yang meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. (3) buku panduan bimbingan kelompok outbound memiliki nilai uji kegunaa, uji kelayakan dan uji ketepatan yang cukup baik. sedangkan untuk uji keberterimaan terhadap satu orang praktisi bimbingan konseling berada pada katergori tinggi dan untuk 10 orang peserta didik diperoleh katergori tinggi sehingga buku panduan bimbingan kelompok outbound  dinyatakan valid dan praktis untuk dapat digunakan sebagai media layanan bimbingan dan konseling dalam upaya meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Kata Kunci: Bimbingan kelompok; Outbound; Motivasi Belajar

Abstract

This study aims to produce career success cards as a guidance and counseling media to improve students’ career maturity. This study aims to discover: (1) the level of need for career success cards to improve the career maturity of senior high school students; (2) the prototype of career success cards to improve the career maturity of senior high school students; and (3) the validity and practicality of career success cards in improving the career maturity of senior high school students. The Borg & Gall 10-step research model was adapted into seven steps to conduct this study. The data were collected using interviews and questionnaires. The results of the study showed that: (1) the level of need for career success cards to improve the career maturity of senior high school students, especially the students at SMAN 01 Bombana, was high; (2) the prototype of career success cards consisted of job cards, information cards, fill-in cards, a guidebook, and a career reading text; and (3) the validity testing results showed that the utility, feasibility, and accuracy of career success cards were very good, while the practicality testing results showed that career success cards were valid and practical to be used in high schools, especially at SMAN 01 Bombana, to help students improve their career maturity.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-control and academic procrastination in completing thesis in IAIN Bone students. This research uses quantitative methods. The subjects in this study were taken using the Accidental Sampling technique, namely 209 active students at IAIN Bone who had taken more than eight semesters and were currently programming a thesis. The results of hypothesis testing in this study used Spearman's rho. The results show a correlation coefficient of r = -0.757 with a significant value of p = 0.000 (p <0.05) meaning that there is a negative relationship between self-control and academic procrastination in completing theses for IAIN Bone students. The value of the correlation coefficient shows a negative value, which means that self-control with academic procrastination is negatively correlated and is in a very strong category. This research contributes to the thinking and development of behavioral science treasures, especially in the fields of social psychology and educational psychology.  Keywords: Self Control, College Student, Academic Procrastination

Abstract

Sexism is manifested through the division of gender-based roles and the unequal distribution of rights and opportunities. One of one sexism is benevolent sexism . The objective of this study is to investigate the correlation between benevolent sexism and obedience with women. The population of this study was adolescent girls, with a sample number of 75 subjects. This research uses a correlative method through data collection done by using a scale benevolent sexism and the scale of obedience. The data that has been gathered is subsequently subjected to regression statistical analysis. The findings indicate a statistically significant correlation between benevolent sexism and obedience with norms among adolescent females.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to ascertain the levels of learning motivation (X) and student engagement (Y) among students enrolled at SMAN X Gowa. The present investigation employed a quantitative methodology, utilizing a simple random sampling technique to procure participants for the study. The sample population for this research comprised of 150 students from SMAN X Gowa, consisting of 69 male and 81 female participants. The present investigation employed Academic Motivation Scale (AMS) and Student Engagement in School Scale. The study used the product moment method for data analysis and obtained a statistically significant positive correlation (r = 0.783, p < 0.05) between learning motivation and student engagement. The findings suggest a positive correlation between the scores of learning motivation and student involvement. The degree of motivation to learn has been found to have a significant impact on student engagement, accounting for 61.3% of the variance in this construct. The findings of this study hold significant implications that can be properly considered by educators in designing effective learning curricula.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the impact of personal peacefulness and disruptive behavior on individuals engaged in online gaming. Personal peacefulness refers to an individual's tranquil disposition, characterized by an inward sense of serenity. This state of being fosters an environment of non-violence and harmony, continually manifesting in many life circumstances. Griefing within the context of online gaming refers to the manifestation of antisocial conduct exhibited by gamers towards their counterparts on the same gaming platform, with the primary objective of deriving personal gratification. The participants in this study consisted of a sample size of 351 individuals who were engaged in online gaming. The data collection process involved the utilization of two distinct scales: the Self-Perception Scale (SPS) for measuring Intrapersonal Peace, which had 12 statement items, and the Grief Play Scale, which consisted of 32 statement items. The findings obtained from the application of Spearman Rho Analysis to the data indicate that the significant value, denoted as p, is equal to 0.01, which is less than the predetermined threshold of 0.05. Consequently, the hypothesis formulated for this study is determined to be accepted. It can be inferred that a significant correlation exists between an individual's personal peacefulness and engagement in griefing behavior.

Abstract

Lack of information about further studies for high school students after graduation is a significant problem in their study selection. This can hinder students' ability to make informed educational choices that align with their interests and goals. The formulation of the problem in this research is whether there is an influence of information services using portfolio media on students' decision making for further studies at SMAN 1 Bantaeng. This research aims to determine the significant influence of career information services using portfolio media on students' further study decisions at SMAN 1 Bantaeng. This research is a quasi-experimental type using pretest-posttest, non-equivalent control group design. Research participants were class XII MIPA 4 students at SMAN 1 Bantaeng. There were 20 participants in this study and were divided into two groups, namely the experimental group (N=10) and the control group (N=10). The measuring instrument used in this research was a questionnaire for selecting students for further studies. The data analysis technique uses independent sample t-test hypothesis testing. The research results show that information services using portfolio media can increase students' further study decision making scores at SMAN 1 Bantaeng. The results of the independent sample t-test are p = 0.000 0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted so it can be concluded that there is an influence of career information services using portfolio media on students' further study decisions at SMAN 1 Bantaeng. The implication of this research is that portfolios can be used as a medium to improve high school students' decision making for further studies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui gambaran kebutuhan, menghasilkan prototipe, dan untuk mengetahui validitas dan reliabilitas pengembangan E-Modul Bimbingan Klasikal untuk Meningkatkan Psychological Well Being Siswa di MTs DDI Walimpong. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan Borg and Gall. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu observasi, wawancara dan angket yang terdiri dari angket validasi dan angket uji coba. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis data deskriptif dan analisis data kuantitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa: 1) Gambaran kebutuhan terhadap Media E-Modul Bimbingan Klasikal untuk Meningkatkan Psychological Well Being Siswa di MTs DDI Walimpong sangat dibutuhkan dan perlu mengembangkan Media layanan bimbingan yang dapat digunakan Guru Bimbingan dan Konseling maupun Siswa. 2) Prototipe E-Modul layanan Bimbingan klasikal memiliki item menu dalam website; profil penyusun, panduan penggunaan e-modul, kata pengantar, modul Siswa dan modul Guru,dan Daftar Pustaka. 3) E-modul layanan bimbingan yang telah dikembangkan menunjukkan tingkat validitas dan kepraktisan yang masuk ke dalam kategori yang tepat. Dengan demikian, E-Modul bimbingan klasikal dapat dianggap sah dan dapat diandalkan sebagai media bimbingan dan konseling khususnya untuk meningkatkan psychological well being Siswa.
