Abstract

The aim of this study was  to determine the effect of pituitary extracts on the reproductive threeperformance of local does. This study used 15 local female does that were divided into three treatmentgroups.  Each group consisted of five does.  All does were injected with 7.5 mg Prostaglandin F2? /PGF2?(Prostavet C, Virbac S.A) intramuscularlly, twice in 10 days interval. In group 1 (K1), the does wereinseminated 36 hours after last PGF2? administration.  In group II (KII), does were injected with 500 IUpregnant mare serum gonadotropine/PMSG (Folligon ™, Intervet, Boxmeer, Holland) on day 9 cycles andfollowed with injection of 7.5 mg PGF2? two days after. In group III (KIII), goats injected with pituitaryextract on days 9, 10, and 11 cycles with decreasing dose :  2, 1, and; 0.5 ml intramuscular injection locatedat some point, followed with injection of 7.5 mg PGF2? 2 days after. The does on the KII and KIII wereinseminated 36 hours after PGF2? administration. Parameters measured were oestrous percentage,pregnancy, kidding rate, twinning, total of litter size, and averages litter size.  Results showed that alldoes (100%) from all groups showed estrous and kidding rate. Percentage of pregnant does group I, II, andIII were  60, 40, and 80%, respectively. Percentage of twinning group I, II, and III were 0, 50, and 25%.  Thetotal of litter size group I and II were 3 does, and group III were 5 does. The averages litter size group I, II,and III were 1; 1.5; and 1.25 respectively. In conclusion, treatment with pituitary extracts can increasereproductive performance of local does.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The research aimed to find out the effectiveness in teaching writing of procedure text by using storyboard to the seventh grade students at State of Junior High School 53 Palembang in the academic year 2014/2015. The sample was the class of VII.1, consisted of 30 students. The method used in this research was pre-experimental method, with pre-test and post-test design. The data were obtained by means of the test and the results were analyzed through paired sample t-test calculation. Based on the result, the mean or average of pre-test was 11.93, the standard deviation was 3.754, and the standard error mean was 0.685. The mean or average of post-test was 18.47, the standard deviation was 3.277, the standard error mean was 0.598 and the writer got the t-obtained 10.640. It showed that t-obtained was higher than critical value (2.045). It can be concluded that it is effective using storyboard in teaching writing of procedure text to the seventh grade students at State of Junior High School 53 Palembang.Key words: writing skill, procedure text, storyboarding

Abstract

The objective of this study is to find out: a) whether or not there was any significant improvement in writing descriptive text between the students who were taught by using DLC strategy and those who were not at the Eight Grade Students of SMPN 1 Sembawa. b) whether or not there was any significant difference in writing achievement between the students who were taught by using DLC strategy and those who were not at the Eight Grade Students of SMPN 1 Sembawa. In this study used a quasi experimental design, there were experimental group and control group. Both of them were given a pre-test and post test (before and after treatment). The population of the study was the entire eighth graders of SMPN 1 Sembawa in Academic Year 2017/2018. In this study, the writer used purposive sampling that consists of 35 students for experimental group and 35 students for control group. To analyze the hypotheses, the data from pre-test and post-test from the experimental and control group were analyzed by using paired sample t-test and independent sample-test. Based on the result of paired t-test with t-obtained < t-table and with the mean of pre-test was 40,32 to 69,85 in post-test, it meant that the students‘ writing skill on descriptive text was significantly improved. Based on the result of independent sample t-test of post-test results of both experimental and control group, the output sig. level 0,05 in two tailed testing with df = 68 and the critical value of t-table = 1,995 since the value of t-obtained 6,999 was higher than the critical value of t-table. It meant that the students‘ writing skill on descriptive text was significantly differenced.Key words: DLC strategy, descriptive text, writing skill.

Abstract

Di dalam bidang pengolahan sinyal, filter berfungsi untuk menghapus bagian sinyal yang tidak diinginkan seperti noise acak, noise dari transmisi sinyal ucapan atau untuk mengekstrak bagian yang berguna dari suatu sinyal seperti komponen yang terletak di dalam rentang frekuensi tertentu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan desain filter Butterworth orde dua dengan menggunakan bantuan tool Matlab, dan kemudian menganalisis karakteristiknya. Rangkaian voltage controlled voltage source (VCVS) telah digunakan sebagai pembentuk filter Butterworth orde-2, yang disimulasikan untuk menampilkan karakter utama low pass filter. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa dengan frekuensi cut-off yang diambil sebesar 0,5 kHz diperoleh karakter filter lolos rendah yang magnitudenya relatif datar pada gain VCVS yang diinginkan.

Abstract

Seiring perkembangan teknologi digital, saat ini semakin banyak penggunaan media serat optik untuk memberikan layanan komunikasi yang lebih baik, handal, mudah dan cepat. Namun dengan berbagai keunggulan itu bukan berarti sistem komunikasi serat optik (SKSO) yang ada saat ini sudahlah sempurna dan tidak memiliki permasalahan. Terdapat satu masalah pada serat optik di lapangan yaitu rugi-rugi akibat redaman (loss / attenuation) pada proses penyambungan. Saat penyambungan serat optik pada penelitian ini digunakan Optical Fiber Fusion Splicer S178A, sedangkan untuk mengukur hasil penyambungan tersebut digunakan Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) EXFO FTB-1. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membandingkan nilai rugi-rugi redaman pada Fusion Splicer dan OTDR dan menganalisisnya mengapa nilai rugi-rugi pada keduanya berbeda. Dari hasil 30 kali pengujian, terdapat 3 hasil ukur rugi-rugi redaman tinggi antara 0,07 dB sampai 0,18 dB. Hal ini diakibatkan kurang bersihnya serat optik setelah proses stripping, penempatan serat pada fiber holder yang kurang sempurna sehingga ujung core serat menabrak elektroda splicer, dan hasil pemotongan cleaver yang tidak bagus. Hasil rugi-rugi dari pembacaan splicer dan OTDR berbeda, dikarenakan nilai rugi-rugi yang diukur oleh splicer adalah estimasi. Rugi-rugi splicer ini diukur oleh sensor kamera sedangkan OTDR menggunakan sensor cahaya jenis APD yang nilai ukurnya lebih akurat.

Abstract

Thredio DC ground fault locator adalah alat pendeteksi lokasi gangguan DC ke tanah milik PT. Thredio Engineering. Alat ini masih dalam bentuk purwa rupa sehingga harus dilakukan pengujian dan analisa agar dapat diketahui apakah alat ini sudah dapat berfungsi dengan baik. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dilakukan beberapa metode sebagai berikut. Melakukan pengujian alat baru Thredio DC ground fault dengan cara simulasi hubung singkat dan simulasi pengukuran beban resistor. Dengan cara pengujian yang sama dilakukan juga pengujian terhadap alat Grouser DC ground fault locator milik PT. PLN sebagai referensi pembanding alat baru. Hasil simulasi beban resistor untuk alat baru maksimal beban resistor 80? dengan arus 13.7mA, untuk alat PLN maksimal beban resistor 800? dengan arus 112.5mA sedangkan besar arus hubung singkat pada kedua alat hampir sama yaitu 1.7A. Dari hasil tersebut diketahui bahwa alat baru dapat berfungsi mendeteksi arus gangguan DC ke tanah walaupun sensitifitasnya lebih kecil dibandingkan alat PLN yaitu 1 banding 10.
