Abstract

This paper is a study of implementation of emotional branding in library services.    Emotional branding is a new paradigm in marketing world. It means create emotional nuance and its objective is to create an emotional nearness between a brand and its consumer. The library as an institution which provide information services may implement emotional branding concept in creating emotional nuance which will build emotional nearness between the library and its users. It is hope that the emotional nearness  will create users’ satisfaction and  loyality, so the use of library will  increase. Emotional branding in library can be created through working performance of librarian who always try to create and maintain good relationships with users. Some strategies could be implemented, those are always ask the user first, ask their name and try to remember it, know information which usually needed, tell them when there is new information which relevant for them, create a situation that librarian always ready to help, show them that the librarian like to discuss with them, be a good listener, the librarian should be wear uniform with name tag, and be a mobile staff and ask the user if they need some helps.  The implementation of emotional branding in library services need a crucial change in mindset of library management in order to provide qualified services which suitable with users’ demand.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Paledah Village, Padaherang District Pangandaran Regency is one of the villages being developed into an agro tourism village. Therefore, environmental maintenance efforts need to be done by all levels of society, because the natural environment which still original and distinctive is an asset for the tourist village. One effort that can be done is   environmental literacy education that can be given to all levels of society including children. It will make the children   understand the importance of environmental maintenance early on. The target audience of this PKM activities are teachers of PAUD and Posyandu cadres in Padaherang Sub-district. They will become facilitators of environmental literacy education and environmental preservation models for children and communities in their respective areas. This PKM activity aims to provide knowledge insight and create awareness on posyandu cadres and PAUD teachers about the importance of environmental literacy education and become human literate environment. The method used in the form of counseling covering three main topics are   environment and village tourism, environmental literacy education for children, and  environmental health. Based on the post-test and monitoring and evaluation that have been done, it can be seen that the   participants have understood the importance of environmental maintenance. PAUD teachers have conducted environmental literacy education on their students, and posyandu cadres have spread their knowledge in their respective working areas.ABSTRAKDesa Paledah Kecamatan Padaherang Kabupaten Pangandaran merupakan salah satu desa yang sedang dikembangkan menjadi desa wisata agro. Oleh karena itu upaya pemeliharaan lingkungan perlu dilakukan oleh semua lapisan masyarakat, karena lingkungan alam yang masih asli dan khas merupakan asset bagi desa wisata. Salah satu upaya yang bisa dilakukan adalah dengan pendidikan literasi lingkungan yang dapat diberikan kepada seluruh lapisan masyarakat termasuk anak-anak, agar mereka  memahami pentingnya pemeliharaan lingkungan sejak dini. Khalayak sasaran kegiatan PKM ini adalah guru-guru PAUD dan para kader Posyandu di Kecamatan Padaherang, agar mereka menjadi fasilitator pendidikan literasi lingkungan dan model pemelihara lingkungan bagi anak-anak dan komunitas yang ada di wilayahnya masing-masing. Kegiatan PKM ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan pengetahuan dan menciptakan kesadaran pada para kader posyandu dan guru-guru PAUD  tentang pentingnya  pendidikan literasi lingkungan dan menjadi manusia yang literat lingkungan.  Metode yang digunakan berupa penyuluhan yang meliputi tiga topik utama, yaitu: tentang lingkungan dan desa wisata,  pendidikan literasi lingkungan untuk anak, dan  tentang kesehatan lingkungan. Berdasarkan post-test serta monitoring dan evaluasi yang telah dilakukan, dapat diketahui bahwa  peserta penyuluhan telah memahami pentingnya pemeliharaan lingkungan. Para guru PAUD telah melakukan pendidikan literasi lingkungan  pada anak didiknya, dan para kader posyandu telah menyebarkan pengetahuannya di wilayah kerjanya masing-masing.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian kami dalam Hibah PUPT Tahun 2017 yang berjudul “Eksplorasi Model Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Berbasis Jaringan Informasi Komunitas Industri Kreatif Dalam Mengatasi Kemiskinan” menunjukkan hasil bahwa belum optimalnya kegiatan promosi produk yang para pelaku industri kreatif terutama usaha kuliner. Oleh karena itu, kami berupaya untuk memberikan peningkatan kapasitas pelaku usaha dalam mempromosikan produk yang mereka miliki. Tim kami memberikan pelatihan kepada 17 orang peserta terkait bagaimana mempromosikan produk industri kreatif kuliner berbasis online menggunakan media sosial yang sangat mudah digunakan dengan investasi yang tidak besar namun memiliki dampak yang luas. Metode yang digunakan untuk menyelesaikan malasah tersebut adalah melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan bagaimana melakukan promosi produk melalui media sosial. Hasil dari kegiatan adalah adanya peningkatan pemahaman tentang pentingnya promosi dalam kegiatan industri kretif kuliner serta dampak dari adanya promosi menggunakan media sosial terutama menggunakan media facebook, serta para peserta dapat mempraktikkan dan membuat media promosi produk melalui facebook sebagai bagian dari kemampuan dan keterampilan praktis tentang promosi melalui media sosial dengan menggunakan perangkat telepon pintar yang terkoneksi internet dari para pelaku usaha disertai dengan bentuk pengemasan produk untuk dimuat di media sosial.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract. Records the history and culture of a region in the past stored in various forms of printed and recorded, partly managed by the library; some are still stored in various places, including West Java in the form of historical sites and culture. Form of work in question can bebooks, magazines, newspapers, maps, brochures, and the like, both in print and digital format. These works contain a benefit for knowledge and education. Meanwhile, the library as an institution in charge of managing printed and recorded works, including ancient works, continues to contribute in this work with storage for wider dissemination. This study examines the existence of public libraries and village libraries in West Java related to its role as referred to above. The method used is direct observation to the field. The result illustrates that public libraries and village libraries already participate to provide this type of collection for the benefit of the public on the current generation and the future.Keywords: Printed Materials, Paper records, Ancient manuscripts,Cultural Values, Public Library.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to find out the information management at Garut Department of   Communication   and   Informaticts   as   an effort to fulfill the information needs of Garut citizens. Garut Department of Communication and   Informaticts   is   a   facility   in   managing and   providing   the government   information, region    development,    and    social    needs    in Garut regency. Qualitative is used as a method in this research as observation, interview, and literary study were the techniques for collecting the  data.  The  main  focus  on  this  research  is the transformation process which starts from data collecting, data processing, information analysis, and information dissemination and information presentation to data documentation/ data recording which describe information management conduction at Garut Department of  Communication and  Informaticts. From the research, it was discovered that data collecting process was conducted by three steps; data collecting  planning,  data  searching  from  the field directly, and indirect data search. The data processing was conducted by sortation, editing, validating, and processing using computer. Information analysis  was  conducted  based  on checking and reviewing rationally towards the information  contents.  The  result  which  was ready presented and disseminated well directly or indirectly. The data documentation/ data recording process were conducted by manually and electronically. The conclusion of this research is that the information management at Garut  Department of Communication a Informaticts has been conducted appropriately and it is resulting advantageous information for all citizens of Garut regency. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui informasi management di Garut Departemen Komunikasi dan Informaticts sebagai upaya untuk memenuhi kebutuhan informasi dari warga Garut. Garut Departemen Komunikasi dan Informaticts adalah fasilitas dalam mengelola dan menyediakan informasi pemerintah, pembangunan daerah, dan kebutuhan sosial di Kabupaten Garut. Kualitatif dan digunakan sebagai metode dalam penelitian ini sebagai pengamatan, wawancara, dan studi sastra adalah teknik-teknik untuk mengumpulkan data. Fokus utama pada penelitian ini adalah proses transformasi yang mulai dari pengumpulan data, data processing, analisis informasi, dan penyebaran informasi dan presentasi informasi ke dokumentasi data/ rekaman data yang menerangkan komplek penghantaran manajemen informasi di Garut Departemen Komunikasi dan Informaticts. Dari research, ditemukan bahwa proses pengumpulan data dilaksanakan oleh tiga langkah; perencanaan pengumpulan data, data mencari dari lapangan secara langsung, dan pencarian data tidak langsung. Pemrosesan data yang dilakukan oleh sortation, mengedit, memvalidasi, dan memproses menggunakan komputer. Analisis informasi ini dilaksanakan berdasarkan memeriksa dan meninjau rasional terhadap isi informasi. Hasil yang telah siap mempresentasikan dan disebarluaskan dengan baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Dokumentasi data/ rekaman data dilaksanakan secara manual dengan proses dan secara elektronik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa manajemen informasi di Garut Departemen Komunikasi sebuah Informaticts telah dilakukan dengan benar dan ia merupakan hasillevel informasi bermanfaat untuk semua warga negara dari Kabupaten Garut.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the knowledge level of the society around Bosscha Observatory in Lembang about light pollution. The research was conducted using a survey method to  98 respondents in Lembang Village, Lembang District, West Bandung District. Based on the results of the research, it is revealed that the knowledge level  of the Society  around  Bosscha Observatory Lembang about light pollution is categorized as high. It is based on the research on four dimensions of knowledge with high results for factual, conceptual, and procedural knowledge, thus  indicating that the public knows well the term, indicators, causes, disorder, harmful nature, the countermeasure solution , the countermeasure techniques, and the criteria of when to apply the  procedure of light pollution countermeasure. Then, the next is medium results for metacognition knowledge indicating that the public knows enough information resources, the importance of countermeasures, and the awareness of the knowledge about light pollution. Therefore  the society is expected to be wiser in using artificial light and contribute to reducing light pollution. Keywords: Knowledge, Light Pollution, Bosscha Observatory

Abstract

This research aims to identify and understand the document management activities on Inspektorat pembantu Kota Administrasi Jakarta Selatan. Document management activities are selec- ting, assessing, analyzing, inerpreting and finding materials. There are several stages on document management, invention and enrollment, retention, distribution, and human resources. The method wich used on this research is descriptive qualitative method, the data collection techniques are interviews, observations, and literature. The results showed that Inspektorat Pembantu Kota Administrasi Jakarta Selatan did document mana- gement, so that documents can be managed in according to the state of human resouces perfor- mance. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan memahami kegiatan pengelolaan dokumen di Inspektorat Pembantu Kota Ad- ministrasi Jakarta Selatan. Kegiatan pengelolaan dokumen merupakan kegiatan memilih, menilai, menganalisis, menerjemahkan dan menemu kem- bali kan materi. Ada beberapa tahap dalam penge- lolaan dokumen yaitu penciptaan dan penerimaan, peyimpanan, distribusi, dan SDM. Pada penelitian ini metode yang digunakan adalah metode Kua- litatif Deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu wawancara, observasi dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Inspektorat Pembantu Kota Administrasi melakukan Penge- lolaan Dokumen, Sehingga dokumen yang ada da- pat dikelola dengan baik sesuai dengan keadaan kinerja SDM

Abstract

This research examined information literacy in coastal community towards  woman empowerment program in Cipatujah District – Tasikmalaya Regency. It used mixed methods and technique of collecting data were questionnaire, interviews, focus group discussion, observation and literature study. The research aims to determine the level of information literacy in coastal community towards woman empowering program, started from planning, executing, benefit decision, and evaluation of woman empowerment program. The benefit of this research is a form of evaluation, especially against government policy implementation of Tasikmalaya Regency. The results showed levels of community literacy towards woman empowerment program started from planning, executing, benefit decision, and evaluation can be categorized as positive. It means the community have been already literate. It is based on a statistical calculation results illustrate that the median value is smaller than the value of the score and the value of score is less than the value of the third quartile. Based on the results of data processing, it can be concluded that the coastal community in the Cipatujah District – Tasikmalaya Regency already literate towards woman empowerment program.     Penelitian ini mengkaji mengenai Literasi Informasi Masyarakat Pesisir dalam Program Pemberdayaan Perempuan di Kecamatan Cipatujah   Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Dengan menggunakan mixed methods dan teknik pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran angket, wawancara, Focus Group Discussion, observasi, dan studi pustaka, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat literasi Masyarakat Pesisir dalam Program Pemberdayaan Perempuan mulai tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengambilan manfaat, dan evaluasi program pemberdayaan masyarakat. Manfaat penelitian ini yakni sebagai bentuk evaluasi program terutama terhadap im-plementasi kebijakan pemerintah Kabupaten Tasik-malaya.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat  literasi masyarakat Pesisir terhadap program pemberdayaan perempuan baik pada tahap pe-rencanaan, pelak-sanaan, pengambilan manfaat, dan  evaluasi  program dapat dikategorikan positif artinya masyarakat sudah literat. Hal ini didasarkan pada hasil perhitungan statistic yang menggambarkan bahwa nilai median lebih kecil dari nilai skor dan nilai skor lebih kecil dari nilai kuartil III. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data, penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa Masyarakat Perisisir di Kecamatan Cipatujah   Kabupaten Tasikmalaya sudah literat terhadap program pemberdayaan perempuan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penggunaan media komunikasi dan informasi dalam menunjang kegiatan penyuluhan pertanian. Media komunikasi dalam penelitian ini dibatasi pada media brosur dan leaflet. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Balai Pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian Jawa Barat. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah  para penyuluh pertanian dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 48 orang.   Metode  penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskrptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket, wawancara, observasi serta studi pustaka. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan  bahwa: Frekuensi penggunaan media komunikasi yang berupa brosur dan leaflet oleh petugas penyuluh pertanian  tidak  terlalu  tinggi,  namun  sebagian  besar  responden  menggunakan brosur dan leaflet sebagai media penunjang kegiatan penyuluhan pertanian; Intensitas penggunaan brosur dan leaflet oleh penyuluh pertanian juga tidak terlalu tinggi namun   hampir setengah dari responden menggunakan brosur dan leaflet dalam menunjang kegiatan penyuluhan pertanian; Alasan pemanfaatan brosur dan leaflet pada umumnya responden menyatakan karena informasi yang terkandung dalam brosur   dan   leaflet   sesuai   dengan   kebutuhan   dalam   menunjang   kegiatan penyuluhan pertanian; Sedangkan tujuan penggunaan brosur dan leaflet sebagian besar responden menyatakan untuk menambah pengetahuan dalam menunjang kegiatan penyuluhan pertanian. This study is to investigate the use of information and communication media in supporting agricultural extension activities. Media communication in this study is limited to brochures and leaflets. Research conducted at the Institute for Agricultural Technology in West Java. The population in this study is the agricultural extension workers with a total sample of 48 people. The method used is descriptive method with data collection through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and literature. Based on the results showed that: Frequency of use of communication media such as brochures and leaflets by agricultural extension workers are not too high, but most respondents using brochures and leaflets as a medium supporting agricultural extension activities; The intensity of the use of brochures and leaflets by agricultural extension is also not too high, but almost half of the respondents use of brochures and leaflets in supporting agricultural extension activities; The reason the use of brochures and leaflets in general respondents stated that because of the information contained in brochures and leaflets in accordance with the needs in supporting agricultural extension activities; While the purpose of the use of brochures and leaflets majority of respondents stated to increase knowledge in supporting agricultural extension activities.
