Abstract

This research was conducted for 56 days to evaluate the utilization of Lemna sp leaf meal fermented using Aspergillus niger on growth and feed efficiency of freshwater pomfret (Colossoma macropomum). The method used in this study is the experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatments and three replications. The tested fish used were C. macropomum with an average weight of 2,3±0,3 g. The test feed used was artificial feed with 30% protein content with substitution percentage of soybean meal (SBM) by fermented Lemna leaf flour (FLLF) namely 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. The fish are fed three times a day with ten percent of the total biomass at 07.00, 12.00 and 17.00. The result showed that the use of FLLF had a significantly effected (P<0,05) on growth and feed efficiency. Replacement 75% of Lemna sp fermented produces the highest specific growth rate 3,415, feed efficiency 37,40% and feed digestibility 70,24%.

Abstract

Water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) can be used as fish feed and has a fairly high protein content ranging from 9.8-12.0%. This study aims to determine the effect of using fermented water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) leaf flour in feed on the growth and feed efficiency of nilem fish (Osteochilus hasseltii). This research was conducted for 56 days at the fish nutrition laboratory and the Fisheries and Marine Reservoir, University of Riau. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatment levels and 3 replications. The test feed used in this study was artificial feed with the substitution of soybean flour by fermented water hyacinth leaf flour (TDEGF), with TDEGF percentages of 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. The test feed was given 10% of the weight of the biomass per day with the frequency of feeding three times a day, namely at 08.00, 12.00, and 16.00 WIB. Nilem fish with initial weight ranging from 2,07 ± 0,06 /head and put in cages measuring 1x1x1 m3 with a stocking density of 25 fish/m3. The container used for feed digestibility parameters was an aquarium measuring 60x40x40 cm3 with a stocking density of 20 fish/m3. The feed used for feed digestibility and protein digestibility parameters was added with 0.5% Cr2O3 of the total feed. Feed is given at satiation with a frequency of 3 times a day. Fish feces were collected and dried are tested for Cr2O3 and protein content. The results showed that the best treatment is P4 (100% TDEGF) with feed digestibility 37.50%, protein digestibility 61.98%, feed efficiency 31.23%, protein retention 20.22% and specific growth rate 2.75% and Survival rate is 100%.

Abstract

Gouramy is a freshwater fish product that has a higheconomic. But its growth is very slow so that it requires affordable, economical feed and alternative raw materials that can be used optimally, one of which is a cassava leaf. The research was held from November 2020 – Januari 2021. The purpose of this study to get the amount of cassava leaf flour (M. utilisima Pohl) fermented with kombucha in feed increase feed efficiency and growth of gouramy fry. The method used was experiment of Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with one factor, five treatments and three replications. The treatment used is the using cassava leaf flour 0, 5, 10, 15, 20% in the feed. The gourami fingerlings used are 3-5 cm and weighs 1.39±0,05 g and are in a cage measuring 1x1x1m with a stocking density of 25 fish/m3. The test diet given 3 times a day is at 07.00, 12.00 and 17.00 wib. To measure the digestibility of feed, fish maintained in an aquarium measuring 30x15x20cm and given feed test contained Cr2O3 0,5%. The results of the study that the use of fermented cassava leaf flour 20%, with feed digestibility (49.5%), protein digestibility (60.28), feed efficiency (39.45%), protein retention (24.20%) specific growth rate (3.47%), and survival (96%). The results of water quality measurements during maintenance temperature ranged from 27-30°C, pH 6.5-7.0,   DO 6.3-7.0 mg/L.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanankan pada pada bulan Juli – September 2020. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui presentase penggunaan tepung daun kangkung air yang difermentasi dengan kombucha dalam pakan ikan gurami untuk menghasilkan efisiensi pakan, retensi protein dan pertumbuhan benih ikan gurami. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) satu faktor dengan 5 Perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Perlakuan dalam Penelitian ini adalah penggunaan tepung daun kangkung air terfermentasi (TDKAT) dalam pakan dengan presentase yang berbeda yaitu P0(0%TDKAT), P1(20%TDKAT), P2(30%TDKAT), P3(40%TDKAT), P4(50%TDKAT) dalam pakan. Pakan uji yang diberikan ke benih ikan gurami sebanyak 10% dari bobot biomassa yang diberikan 3 kali sehari yaitu pada pukul 07.00, 12.00 dan 17.00 Wib. Benih ikan gurami yang digunakan berukuran 5-6 cm/ekor dengan bobot rata-rata berkisar 1,59±1,75 g/ekor dan diletakkan dalam keramba yang berukuran 1x1x1 m dengan padat tebar 25 ekor/m3. Wadah yang digunakan untuk pengamatan parameter kecernaan adalah akuarium dengan ukuran 60x40x40 cm dengan padat tebar benih sebanyak 10 ekor/cm3. Pakan yang digunakan untuk parameter kecernaan pakan dan kecernaan protein ditambahkan dengan Cr2O3 sebanyak 0,5% dari jumlah pakan yang dibuat. Pakan diberikan secara at satiation  dengan frekuensi 3 kali sehari yaitu pada pukul 07.00, 12.00 dan 17.00 Wib. Feses yang dikumpulkan di dalam cawan petri dan disimpan di freezer kemudian dikeringkan untuk di uji kandungan nutrien dan Cr2O3.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan terbaik adalah P4. Penggunaan 50% tepung daun kangkung air terfermentasi menghasilkan kecernaan pakan 75,3%, kecernaan protein 85,2%, efisiensi pakan 41,52%, retensi protein 31,10%, laju pertumbuhan spesifik 3,52% dan biaya pakan uji Rp. 7.713. Kualitas air selama penelitian adalah suhu 28-320C, pH 6,5-7 dan DO 6,3-7 mg/L.

Abstract

This research was conducted for 56 days which aims to determine the effect of the use of fermented tofu dregs flour A. niger in feed on feed efficiency and growth of nilem fish fry. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 levels of treatment with 3 replications. The test feed used was artificial feed with a protein content of 30% and containing fermented tofu dregs flour (TATF) of 0, 25, 50, 75 and 100%. The test fish used were nilem fish with an average weight of 1.73 ± 0.05 g. The fish were kept in cages measuring 1x1x1 m3 as many as 15 units with a stocking density of 25 fish of water volume. The container used for observing the digestibility parameters was an aquarium measuring 60 x 40 x 40 cm with a total of 20 fish per aquarium. The feed used for observing the digestibility and protein digestibility parameters was added with 0.5% Cr2O3 of the total feed. The test feed was given 3 times a day as much as 10% of the weight of the biomass, namely at 07.00, 12.00 and 17.00 WIB. The results showed that the use of fermented tofu dregs flour had a significant effect (P<0.05) on growth and feed efficiency. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that soybean flour can be substituted 100% by fermented tofu pulp flour for nilem fish feed with tilapia feed digestibility 53.83%, protein digestibility 79.78%, feed efficiency 33.90%, protein retention 24.93 %, the specific growth rate is 3.48% and the survival rate is 100%.

Abstract

The experiment has been conducted from February to April 2011 in FishNutrition Laboratory and the experiment fish pond of the Fisheries and MarineSciences Fakulty of Riau University. The aim of this experiment were to know theeffect of linoleat fatty acid and linolenic fatty acid on growth and food efficiencyof catfish fingerlings, Ompok hypopthalmus. The experiment used completlyrandomized design, five treatments and three replications. The treatments werelevel of linoleat fatty acid and linolenic fatty acid in catfish diets: A (2%:0%), B(1,5%:0,5%), C (1%:1%), D (0,5%:1,5%) and E (0%:2%) respectively. Thefingerlings were kept in floating cages (1 x 1 x 1.2 m) for 56 days with density of20 fingerlings per cage. The result indicate that level of linoleat fatty acid andlinolenic fatty acid in catfish diets has influenced daily growth, feed efficiency,protein retention and fat retention of fish. The best result was the D (0,5%:1,5%)that the daily growth rate was 2,2%, feed efficiency 28,10%, protein retention17,81% and fat retention 194,2%. Water quality for this experiment weretemperature: 26-30oC, pH 5-6, DO 5,1-6,5 ppm and ammonia 0,006-0,57 ppm.

Abstract

Pakan merupakan komponen dalam budidaya yang dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan ikan. Hingga saat ini tepung ikan impor merupakan bahan baku utama sumber protein hewani. Maggot memiliki protein tinggi ketersediaan melimpah sehingga berpotensi untuk digunakan sebagai pengganti tepung ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan tepung silase maggot (Hermetia illucens) terbaik dalam pakan terhadap efisiensi pakan dan pertumbuhan ikan baung (Hemibagrus nemurus). Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) satu faktor dengan 5 Perlakuan. Perlakuan dalam penelitian ini adalah penggunaan jumlah tepung silase maggot (TSM) menggantikan tepung ikan di dalam pakan P0 (0% TSM), P1 (25% TSM), P2 (50% TSM), P3 (75% TSM), P4 (100% TSM). Ikan uji yang digunakan adalah benih ikan baung berukuran 3,32±0,138g. Ikan dimasukkan dalam keramba ukuran 1x1x1 m dengan padat tebar 25 ekor/m3. Pakan uji diberikan sebanyak 10% dari biomassa yang diberikan 3 kali sehari yaitu pukul 08.00, 12.00 dan 16.00 WIB. Untuk mengukur kecernaan pakan digunakan wadah akuarium ukuran 60x40x40 cm dengan padat tebar 1 ekor/liter. Pakan untuk mengukur kecernaan pakan dan kecernaan protein ditambahkan %Cr2O3 sebagai marker. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan terbaik adalah P1 (25% TSM) yang menghasilkan kecernaan pakan 50,49% dan kecernaan protein 73,66%, efisiensi pakan 40,33%, retensi protein 16,42%, laju pertumbuhan spesifik 3,77% dan kelulushidupan 82,7%. Kualitas air selama penelitian adalah suhu 27-30οC, pH 6,4-7 dan DO 5,6-7 mg/L.

Abstract

The aim of this research is todetermine the number of water hyacinth leaf meal fermented using cow rumen liquo in diets on growth of Pangasius (P. hypohthalmus).This study used completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatments and three replications. The fish used in this research with  in2g of weight.Fish were reared in 1m3 cages with the stocking density of 25 fish/cage. Feeding trials were replacing with soybean meal with fermented water hyacinth  applied to P0 (0%), P1(30%), P2 (40%), P3 (50%) and P4 (60%) for 35% of protein content.The result showed that fermentedwater hyacinth (P<0.05) on give growth, and feed efficiency of P.hypophthalmus retention. Abstract

ABSTRACTThis Research was conducted from Desember 2016 to Februari 2017. The aim of this research was to know the effect of using fermentedTuri leaf meal in artificial diet on growth and feed efficiency of jelawat (Leptobarbus hoeveni). This research used completely randomized design (CRD) with one factor, five treatments and three replications. This research used fish with initial average weight of 14,9 g. Fish were reared innet cage of 1.0x1.0x1.0 (m3) with the stocking density of 20 fish/net cage. Feeding trials were replacing soybean meal with fermentedturileaf meal applied to P0 (0 : 100%) as a control diet, P1 (5 : 95%), P2 (10 : 90%), P3 (15 : 85%) and P4 (20 : 80%) for 30 % protein content. The result showed that fermentedturi leaf meal give significant effect (P<0,05) on growth, feed efficiency and protein retentions. This result of this study suggest that fermentedturi leaf meal protein can replace up to 15% of the soybean meal in practical diet for jelawat without any adverse performance. Keyword :Diet, Growth, Leptobarbus hoeveni,Sesbania grandiflora, Subtitution

Abstract

ABSTRACT        The research was conducted from August to December 2018. The research aims to evaluate improvement of the quality of Water Hyacinth Leaf Meal (WHLM) (Eichhornia crassipes) fermented with cow rumen liqour (CRL) as feed ingredients for jelawat (Leptobarbus hoeveni) seeds. The research was conducted in three stages. First stage: CRL activated with and without carbon as a WHML fermenter. The WHML proximate test results showed that the best treatment was CRL with the addition of carbon which produced 16.66% protein, 2.26% fat, 19.5% crude fiber and 13.44% ash. Second stage: CRL with the addition of carbon is used in different doses, by adding CRL 0, 100, 200, 300, 400 and 500 ml/kg WHML. Organoleptic and proximate tests showed that the best treatment was CRL 300 ml/kg WHML (P3) which produced a score of 3.73 aroma, 2.02 texture. Decreased crude fiber content from 20.04% to 16.80% and increased protein content from 11.315% to 13.32%, decreased fat content from 1.08% to 0.33%. Third stage: CRL treatment of 300 ml/kg WHML (P3) was tested for enzyme activity and digestibility of the ingredients. The highest enzyme activity was the amylase enzyme activity, namely 5.792 U/ml and 23.74-32.44% digestibility. Keywords : Water Hyacinth Leaves, Cow Rumen Liqour, Fermentation, Digestibility
