Abstract

The purpose of this study is to apply the Think Pair Share learning model as an effort to improve student learning outcomes in Indonesian language learning. This research uses a type of classroom action research, which is one of the problem-solving strategies that utilizes real action from the process of detecting problem-solving abilities. The design used in this study is the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart model. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach, but to complete the data also used qualitative data. This research step is carried out in 2 cycles and each cycle consists of 2 meetings. Each cycle consists of stages of planning, action, observation and reflection. Data collection using observation sheets, tests and documentation. The results showed that the application of the Think Pair Share learning model using can improve activities and learning outcomes Indonesian grade II students. The average score for student graduation criteria starting from pre-cycle on was 60.7%, which then increased by 9.95% in cycle I and became 70.65%. Meanwhile, the percentage of student graduation increased in the second cycle, which was 18.77% and became 89.42%. This increase proves that the TPS (Think Pair Share) learning model in Indonesian learning can improve the learning outcomes of grade II students.

Abstract

The demonstration method is a very effective method, because it helps students to find answers with their own efforts based on facts or correct data by demonstrating both directly and through the use of teaching media that are in accordance with the material presented. Talking about the effectiveness of the demonstration method, the importance of this method can be seen from the way it is applied in learning, one of which is in mathematics learning. Learning mathematics is one of the learning that is often a scary thing for every student. Therefore, to overcome this, a method that suits students during learning is needed. Take this into account. So, the purpose of this study is to see the effectiveness of the demonstration method on student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects. This research is a classroom action study, where this research was carried out on grade II students at SD Negeri 2 Merauke for the 2022/2023 school year. In this study, 24 students were the subjects of the study. By applying two cycles with two meetings each in each cycle, the study also used tests and observations as research data. As a result, there was a very significant improvement in student learning outcomes starting from cycle I to cycle II. Therefore, it is expected that the role of teachers is to advance in the achievements achieved by students, so teachers must be more creative and innovative to create learning that is fun, easy to understand and able to increase student interest so that learning objectives can be achieved.

Abstract

The main capital of teachers is to foster students' interest in learning and become true learners so that students can apply their knowledge in everyday life. Therefore, apart from being educators, teachers also have other roles in the teaching and learning process, namely as motivators, evaluators and facilitators. Through the role of teachers in learning, students are able to show their perseverance in learning in order to achieve learning completeness. Therefore, teaching and learning activities do not only lie with teachers but students also interfere in the teaching and learning process. Referring to the complexity of the learning system which includes the importance of the role of the teacher and student motivation during learning, the purpose of this study is to examine the correlation between the role of the teacher and student learning motivation. The study used a combined method (quantitative and qualitative), where the subjects in this study were grade X students of SMK Negeri 2 Tourism Merauke with a total of 25 students. Data in this study were collected through questionnaires and observations. As a result, there is a close relationship between the role of teachers and student motivation in learning. This is also evidenced by the results of data processing using SPSS.25 software. with criteria If the sig > 0.05 accept Ho, From data processing obtained sig 0.038 < 0.05 means that Ho is rejected. Thus there is a significant correlation or relationship between the role of teachers and with student learning motivation in learning in grade 10 of SMK Negeri 2 Tourism Merauke, South Papua. Therefore, the success of education programs begins with the role of teachers in managing education.

Social media is very influential for students to support learning achievement. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to see the influence / impact of the use of social media on student achievement. This study uses a quantitative research design, by applying normality and correlation tests to each variable. In this study there were 25 class XI students from SMK Negeri 2 Tourism Merauke, South Papua who were the subjects of the study. Data collection, carried out using observation and questionnaires. As a result of research, the use of Social Media such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, WhatsApp is proven to affect student achievement. However, it depends on the goals of each student, if users use it positively it will have a good impact on student learning achievement, but on the contrary if it is used just by playing and cannot divide time to learn then it is likely to have a bad impact on student learning achievement.

Abstract

Learning mathematics is essentially doing mental activities. In mathematics learning, students are required to prepare mentally in the process of receiving new knowledge. Facts in the field show that the lack of use of creative and innovative learning methods in the mathematics learning process has an impact on the low mathematics learning outcomes of grade V elementary school students. Therefore, this research aims to apply the drill method as one of the creative and innovative methods to improve student learning outcomes. This research is a quantity research by applying pre-experimental design. Using one group pre-test and post-test, this study was conducted on grade V students of SD Negeri 2 Merauke in the 2022/2023 academic year. The total sample in this study was 32 students with the data collection method being a test. The results showed that there was a very significant improvement in student learning outcomes. The increase in the percentage of the average score of student learning outcomes from the previous pre-test of 56.78 increased in the post-test of 84.65. However, we cannot ignore the obstacles that occur. Some obstacles when implementing the drill method are inhibiting the development of students' initiative abilities, the formation of rigid and inflexible habits, the emergence of verbalism, and the emergence of boredom and boredom. For this reason, teachers must implement the drill method in a fun way, for example through games or combined with other methods.

Therefore, the purpose of this study is to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes using direct learning methods. The method used in this study is the quantitative method with analysis using the mean score. The population in this study was SD Negeri 2 Merauke, with a total sample of 23 students in grade II. The data in this study were obtained from observations and tests. The results showed that, the students' pre-test results were 59.13% while the results of the post-test were 82.08%. Because of this, it can be claimed that the direct learning method can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of grade II students of SD Negeri 2 Merauke, South Papua. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of online games on the interest in learning Physical Education and Health (Penjas) in students. Online gaming has become one of the popular forms of entertainment among teenagers and young people. However, attention to its impact on academic learning interest, especially in the fields of Physical Education and Health, is still relatively limited. This study used a quantitative approach with correlation and regression analysis. The population and sample of the study were students of SMK Negeri 2 Tourism Merauke with a total sample from class XI of 25 students. Data was collected through questionnaires that focused on two main aspects: the frequency of playing online games and the students' learning interests. The results showed that there was a negative correlation between the frequency of playing online games and the students' learning interest. Factors contributing to the decline in interest in learning in students who frequently play online games include the use of unbalanced time between gaming and learning activities, as well as the psychological impact that may arise from addictive games. This research provides new insights into how online games can affect students' learning interests. The results of this study have important implications for educators and parents to understand the potential impact of playing online games on students' learning interests. Educators should consider creative ways to increase students' interest in PE learning, such as integrating interesting media or methods in learning or creating awareness about the importance of balancing gaming and learning activities in a balanced manner.
