Abstract

This study aimed to examine and describe the role of the teacher in improving the character of discipline for students. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were the principal, teachers, and students. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was performed using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this study indicated that the role of teachers in the character building of student discipline at SD Negeri 1 Kendaga is a teacher as an educator, a teacher as ainstructor, a teacher as a guide, a teacher as a trainer, and a teacher as an evaluator. The teacher's efforts in shaping student character are by using the method of habituation, exemplary, lectures and simulations.This research is useful for teachers, to be able to act as good role models, to provide guidance and supervision to improve students discipline.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the leadership process of principals with managerial competencies to improve the quality of education in primary schools. Initial observations show that there are still many school principals in the Adipala sub-district, Cilacap, who have not carried out their primary duties and functions correctly as leaders of educational units. The principal is the person who is responsible for and leads the school in managing school resources to achieve academic goals. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach to phenomenological studies. The informants in this study were five public elementary school principals in the Adipala sub-district. Data collection techniques by interview, observation, and study documentation. Activities in data analysis are data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results showed that principal leadership with excellent and practical managerial competence could improve the quality of education in primary schools.

Abstract

The written article purposes were to discussed and interpreted the understanding of kentongan philosophy and the development of kentongan art and culture as an effort to preserve the local culture of Banyumas in the 21st century. This paper is accompanied by simple research using qualitative R&D. Data collected in from interviews that are described qualitatively. The results of the study are described in a qualitative description resulting in that Cipete Muhammadiyah elementary school students can understand the kentongan philosophy by liking kentongan art and culture; Cipete Muhammadiyah elementary school students are accustomed to playing kentongan cultural arts twice a week, so that they can win 1st champion in Banyumas Regency, as a physical proof of the love of local cultural arts and the main students as the next generation of the nation's hope of love and pride in local indigenous culture, art Banyumasan Kentongan culture.

Abstract

Artikel ini membicarakan tentang penerapan model pembelajaran discovery learning dalam proses pembelajaran sebagai implementasi dari pendidikan karakter pada siswa Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah Pasir Lor Kec Karanglewas Kabupaten Banyumas. Realitas empirik memperlihatkan bahwa kondisi saat ini sangat memprihatinkan, banyak kasus di lingkungan masyarakat mengindikasikan menurunnya kualitas karakter peserta didik di sekolah saat ini. Pelanggaran norma bukan sekedar kesopanan kesusilaan, namun dapat meningkat pada pelanggaran hukum dan Agama. Banyak faktor yang menjadi penyebab terjadinya pelanggaran-pelanggaran itu, diantaranya adalah perkembangan teknologi informasi yang semakin canggih, perubahan gaya hidup yang sangat dinamis, kesibukan orang tua yang semakin tinggi yang menyebabkan perhatian terhadap anak-pun berkurang, menjadi faktor-faktornya. Pendidikan Karakter menjadi pendidikan yang sangat penting saat ini guna menumbuhkan karakter baik yang sebagai bagian dari softskill yang sangat berguna dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Pendidikan karakter dapat disisipkan dalam pembelajaran apapun namun dengan model pembelajaran yang menyenangkan. Satu pernyataan bahwa tidak ada satu obat mujarab-pun di dalam dunia pendidikan, dapat dimaknai bahwa ada banyak ragam yang dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran untuk tercapainya tujuan pendidikan nasional. Implementasi pendidikan karakter di sekolah dapat dilakukan dengan model pembelajaran yang disesuaikan dengan konten pengetahuannya. Model discovery learning diharapkan mampu menjadi model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan karakter peserta didik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi guru, orang tua, dan siswa dalam melaksanakan proses belajar-mengajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) Kelas IV pada masa pandemi Covid-19 di SD Negeri 4 Bandingan, Kabupaten Banjarnegara. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara semi terstruktur dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi guru dalam proses belajar-mengajar IPA kelas IV pada masa pandemi Covid-19 yaitu menggunakan strategi pembelajaran mandiri pembelajaran dilakukan pada masa pandemic covid-19 dengan melaksanakan program belajar dari rumah melalui program mingguan, siswa mendapat tugas untuk dikerjakan dirumah selama satu minggu, dalam program mingguan tersebut guru menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran berorientasi pada siswa, menggunakan model pembelajaran inquiry, metode ceramah dan pemberian tugas, dengan media jenis multimedia dan menggunakan teknik serta taktik yaitu menggunakan video praktik. Kendala yang dihadapi yaitu di antaranya guru tidak dapat memantau atau mengontrol siswa secara langsung, siswa yang tidak mempunyai gadget dan susah sinyal.

Abstract

This article intends to describe the relationship between Khonghucu Religious Education teachers and their students, communication between Khonghucu Religious Education teachers and teachers in general, and their communication with the community. The research uses a qualitative approach with the case study method taking the research subjects of Khonghucu Religious Education teachers in Bali, Banten, West Java, and DKI Jakarta. The results showed that neither party objected to the implementation of the teaching and learning process of Khonghucu Religious Education. The relationship between Khonghucu religious teachers and other teachers and the community is also good. They live in harmony with adherents of other religions. The obstacles faced by Khonghucu Religious Education teachers are more administrative in nature, such as the number of Khonghucu religious adherents not meeting one study group, so that public schools do not organize Khonghucu religious learning.

Abstract

This community service aims to find solutions to the financing difficulties faced by education units, especially in primary schools. Building SD-Preneur is expected to be the answer, so that schools have financial flexibility in carrying out school programs. The service method begins with the socialization of SD-Preneur, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. SD-Preneur, which started at SD Muhammadiyah Cipete, Cilongok, Banyumas, Central Java, February 4, 2022, raised the spirit of entrepreneurship comprehensively, by dividing the school into two rooms: a non-profit education room and a business room. With SD-Preneur, SD Muhammadiyah Cipete does not only rely on education financing from students, but from businesses such as catering, textile products, and even from banking.

Abstract

Bencana, dapat mengancam dan mengganggu kehidupan dan penghidupan masyarakat yang mengakibatkan korban jiwa, kerusakan lingkungan, kerugian harta benda, dan dampak psikologis. Masyarakat, walau demikian masih banyak yang bertempat tinggal di daerah rawan bencana. Mereka begitu memahami keadaan   lingkungan tempat mereka tinggal. Melalui proses adaptasi terhadap lingkungan alam yang panjang, masyarakat sangat  mengenal lingkungan ekologinya, sehingga mereka memperlakukan lingkungan ekologisnya secara cerdas. Penelitian bertujuan memeperoleh gambaran pengetahuan kesiapsiagaan dan upaya masyarakat dalam menghadapi bencana banjir di desa Panikel di kecamatan Kampunglaut Kabupaten Cilacap. Upaya dan perilaku masyarakat desa Panikel baik secara individu, kelompok budaya adlah suatu potret kehidupan masyarakat yang terbentuk dari banyak kegiatan, komponen atau unit yang saling berkaitan dan membentuk fungsi tertentu hingga dapat mengungkap kesiapsiagaan dan upaya masyarakat desa Panikel dalam menghadapi bencana banjir.

Abstract

The planga-plongo leader is a leader who does not know how to solve problems. The reason is that he did not get enough experience in various levels of leadership. This article aims to describe the leadership journey program that is expected to be able to overcome the planga-plongo attitude. The research using a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods was carried out by students of VI Class Madrasah Ibtida'iyah Muhammadiyah Patikraja, Banyumas, Central Java. The school permitted final grade students out of town on the eve of school graduation. They have the freedom to determine the city to which they were going. The results showed that, using information technology, they made preparations independently, including choosing the mode of transportation, booking tickets, determining local transportation, and various accommodations to be used. This leadership training provides a stimulus for children to be brave, honest, polite, fast and precise in making decisions. Various experiences of making decisions like this cause children to be unflinching when making decisions. It is recommended that building an anti-planga-plongo character is not only carried out during the implementation of the leadership journey, but also previous training with relevant activities.

Abstract

The existence of the community cannot be separated from the natural environment, where they have lived for generations. Through a long process of adaptation to the natural environment, people really understand their ecological environment, so they treat their ecological environment intelligently. The universe is not only a source of exploitation, but as a common house that is continuously protected, cared for and arranged. The natural environment they live in is sometimes considered to be unusual and dangerous, but in reality, these communities do not feel worried because they live modestly with their natural environment. Ecological intelligence forges humans to organize their emotions, thoughts and actions in responding to the universe. Ecological intelligence is expressed in the form of real attitudes and behaviors that take into account ecological capacities, and give birth to a wise human attitude towards nature. Basically, case study research focuses attention on one particular object that is appointed as a case to be studied in depth so that it is able to uncover the reality behind the phenomenon. As is the case in the traditional wisdom of the people of Ujunggagak Village, Kampunglaut District, Cilacap Regency, Central Java which is formed from many activities, components or units that are interrelated and form certain functions. The case study method in this research is very appropriate to be able to uncover the mistigation of tidal flooding in Ujunggagak Village. The focus of case studies is the specification of cases in an event, including individuals, cultural groups or portraits of life, so that they can reveal forms of local wisdom that have the value of tidal flood disaster mitigation and freshwater crises.
