Abstract

Pateguhan village located in the district Pandaan, Pasuruan, ± 20 km from Campus II University of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo. Pateguhan village is densely populated residential area which is close to the industrial regions. So the average of them are employees of the factory. As a means of transportation every day they mostly use motorcycles. Seeing the condition of the area as the partners established a workshop service of motorcycles and motorcycle parts sale. Obstacles faced Options are limited keyequipment, no hydraulic tools Overhaul Part Crankshaft and unavailability Back Lift Motor Cycle so that when the disassembly of spare parts of motorcycles require a long time and is not ergonomic, Marketing conducted from mouth to mouth and get a close friend so less known. The absence of financial accounting income and expenditure so it is unknown the profit and loss of the work done. Viewed from the condition required a solution that is made of hydraulic tools Overhaul Part Crankshaft Motorcycle And Back Lift Motor Cycle and implementation, held financial accounting training conducted on UMKM, then created a brochure and banner marketing and implementation. Repair of these solutions is expected to Ambon Jaya Motor added increased revenue

Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini adapun tujuan yang diharapkan terkait dengan analisis perhitungan head pompa sentrifugal pada rangkaian seri dan paralel yaitu untuk mengetahui perbandingan nilai head total pompa dari dari masing-masing rangkaian, serta untuk mengetahui perbandingan dari hubungan head (m) terhadap bukaan valve dan juga hubungan head loss terhadap bukaan valve. Proses pengujian dilakukan dengan menggunakan dua pompa sentrifugal tipe 1 ½ BA-6 dengan jenis fluida kerja yang dipakai ialah air pada temperatur ±30⁰C. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan didapatkan suatu hasil data analisis dari perhitungan head total pompa,  dimana nilai head total pompa seri untuk bukaan katup penuh sebesar 38,79 m dengan debit aliran 0,00325 , bukaan katup 2/3 nilai head total sebesar 46,14 m dengan debit aliran 0,00323  dan bukaan katup 1/3 nilai head total sebesar 50,16 m dengan debit aliran 0,00306 . Sedangkan pada pompa paralel diperoleh nilai head total dari bukaan katup penuh sebesar 27,7 m dengan debit aliran 0,00375 , bukaan katup 2/3 nilai head total sebesar 32,6 m dengan debit aliran 0,00374  dan bukaan katup 1/3 nilai head total sebesar 37,9 m dengan debit aliran 0,00367 . Dari hasil data yang diperoleh dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa adanya kenaikan nilai head total terhadap variasi pengaturan bukaan valve yang mana nilai head total tertinggi terdapat pada bukaan valve 1/3. Dan dari kedua jenis rangkaian terlihat adanya penurunan nilai head total seiring juga dengan bertambahnya nilai debit/kapasitas pada pompa. Sehingga hubungan antara head total dengan debit adalah berbanding terbalik, dimana nilai head  terendah diperoleh pada debit yang paling besar.

Abstract

Mesin pencoak pipa (pipe notcher) yang ada di pasaran saat ini harganya cukup mahal sehingga banyak bengkel-bengkel kecil masih menggunakan cara konvensional untuk melakukan pencoakan pipa. Cara yang biasa digunakan adalah dengan menggunakan gerinda tangan, sehingga membutuhkan waktu yang lama dan hasilnya kurang presisi. Untuk itu pada penelitian ini dirancang mesin pencoak pipa dengan memanfaatkan sabuk amplas sebagai V-belt yang dihubungkan dengan poros dan digerakkan oleh motor listrik. Kemudian benda kerja didekatkan pada poros matras dan selanjutnya ditekan maju sampai terbentuk profil yang diinginkan. Rancang bangun mesin pencoak pipa multi dimensi ini terbagi dalam tiga tahap. Tahap pertama konsep desain dan perencanaan komponen, dilanjutkan dengan tahap pembuatan dan terakhir adalah pengujian mesin. Dari hasil rancang bangun diperoleh bahwa mesin pencoak pipa multi dimensi ini menggunakan motor listrik 0,5 HP dan putaran 1400 rpm sedangkan rangka mesin menggunakan besi siku ukuran 4 x 4 cm. Setelah dilakukan pengujian, mesin dapat bekerja dengan baik. Untuk mencoak pipa dengan diameter 3/4 inch dibutuhkan waktu selama 0,335 menit, sedangkan untuk pipa ukuran 1 inch membutuhkan waktu selama 1,075 menit. Sedangkan profil yang dibuat menggunakan mesin ini mampu membentuk sudut antara 0° sampai dengan 30°. Pipe notcher on the market today are quite expensive so that many small workshops still use the conventional method for cutting special pipe profiles. The method commonly used is to use hand grinding, so it takes a long time and the results are less precise. For this reason, in this study was designed a pipe notcher machine using the sandpaper belt as a V-belt connected to a shaft and driven by an electric motor. Then the workpiece is brought closer to the mattress axis and then pressed forward until the desired profile is formed. The design of this multidimensional pipe notcher engine is divided into three stages. The first stage is the design concept and component planning, followed by the manufacturing stage and the last stage is machine testing. From the design results, it is found that this multi-dimensional pipe notcher machine uses an electric motor 0.5 HP and a rotation of 1400 rpm while the engine frame uses 4 x 4 cm angle iron. After testing the machine can work properly. To check a 3/4 inch pipe it takes 0.335 minutes, while for a 1 inch pipe it takes 1.075 minutes. Meanwhile, the profiles made using this machine are capable of forming angles between 0 ° to 30 °.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of the two centrifugal pumps using the same circuit and to obtain the resulting value, namely head, discharge, pump power, efficiency of the two pumps. And variations in valve opening settings used are full valve openings, valve openings 2/3, and valve openings 1/3 which have different coefficients at each valve opening. This research method was carried out experimentally. The fluid used is water, fluid pressure measurement using a pressure gauge to measure the pressure side (discharge) and a vacuum pressure gauge to measure the pressure which is relatively lower than the atmospheric pressure for the pump on the suction side (suction) and using a flow meter to determine the volume or discharge water used. The results of this centrifugal pump test equipment research found that the working pump shows that the resulting discharge affects the head value, pump power, and pump efficiency obtained, the higher the total head value, the smaller the resulting discharge. However, this centrifugal pump test equipment can be used for fluid practicum activities in the mechanical engineering department in the mechanical laboratory.

Abstract

Sports shoe products produced by (MSME) actors in Mojokerto have not demonstrated theperformance of products received by the public, this is based on the design of shoes done still sourced from thedesign of sports shoes owned by well-known brands that are marketed around mojokerto, research is done todayaimed to design competitive sports shoe products, with the best quality as well as with the latest models that suitthe needs of consumers. The design of sports shoe products is carried out today using Quality FunctionDeployment (QFD). The result of the design of shoe products that are ed has product specifications namelytopline / collar made of elastic and soft, eyestay/strap hole with a certain amount, patterned and embossed upper,flexible and soft midsole, toe box with hole point as air circulation, lace shoe adjusted to skin color, logo designused embossed, detachable insole and elastic insole, flexible wedge, jagged outersole, elastic tongue/tongue,patterned vamp toe, soft and soft tab heel. Abstract

This paper discuss the effect of feeding motion and spindle rotation and also the relationship between feeding motion and spindle rotation on wear of tool in conventional lathe process. In this study the machining parameters are feeding motion (f) that varied at 0.12 mm/rev, 0.24 mm/rev and 0.35 mm/rev. With spindle rotation (n) that is 300 rpm, 650 rpm and 1000 rpm. While the cutting depth (a) is 0.5 mm. Then, the wearing edge of the tool was tested. The result of wear test in the edge of tool, show that (1) the greater the feeding motion the higher wear value of tool and the relationship is positively linear; (2) The larger the spindle rotation the lower wear value of tool will be and the relationship is negatively linear.

Abstract

In this study using specimens of gray cast iron Fc-25 (grade 2500). The test specimen is needed there 12 specimens include three test specimen material (base metal), 3 specimen variety of welding electrodes cast CI-A1, 3 specimen variety of welding using welding electrodes AWS 5.1 E6013 without immersion oil, three specimens variation welding using welding electrodes 5.1 AWS E6013 with immersion oil. The results of testing specimens welding electrodes cast CI-A1 in the amount of 16.63 MPa with 0.84% strain and a variety of welding electrode AWS E6013 5.1 with immersion oil also has the highest ultimate tensile strength of welding another variation in the amount of 17.98 MPa with a strain of 0.48% , While the lowest was tensile strength using a variety of welding electrode AWS E6013 5.1 without immersion oil that is 16.28 MPa with a strain of 0.49%.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper discusses how the effect of different spindle spin speeds on surface roughness, how the effect of different coolant fluid on surface roughness and is there an interaction between rotation speed of spindle and coolant to surface roughness in conventional lathe process. In this study the variable varied is the spin speed of the spindle that is is 630 rpm, 920 rpm, and 1250 rpm and the variation of coolant used is coolant, used cooking oil, and used SAE 40 oil. Then the surface roughness test was done. From the results of surface roughness test previously done the lathe process with variations of rotation speed of spindle and coolant, it can be concluded that: the highest surface roughness value was obtained during the turning process using used cooking oil coolant and spindle rotation used at 920 rpm. While the lowest value of surface roughness of the workpiece is obtained when using used SAE 40 oil coolant using a spindle rotation of 1250 rpm.

Abstract

The Covid 19 pandemic makes the need for a washbasin in a public place to prevent the spread of the virus. However, in practice the available washbasins are still not standardized and not ergonomic. So that in this study an ergonomic washbasin design was tried using the DFMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly) method. Because using the DFMA method aims to improve the design. Through this method, it is possible to produce products with a shorter time and the number of components that are more effective in accordance with the function but have better design quality. In this study there were several components that were repaired, combined and removed, but did not change the function and usability of these components. So that this research resulted in a sink design that is modern, multifunctional, easy to use and comfortable.

Abstract

This paper will discuss the comparative strength of TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding results and MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding results. Welding is carried out on aluminium material 5083, by varying the amount of amperage in each type of welding. Amperes variations used in TIG welding and MIG welding are 130 Amperes, 140 Amperes , and 150 Amperes. Furthermore, testing is carried out to determine the strength of the welding results, namely by bending and tensile test. From the bending test results obtained the highest bending strength of 262.36 kgf/mm2, obtained at MIG welding with a strong current used 130 Amperes. The lowest bending strength of 21.61 kgf/mm2, is obtained in TIG welding with the strong current used by 130 Amperes. From the tensile test results obtained the highest tensile strength of 23.48 kgf/mm2, obtained at MIG welding with a strong current used 130 Amperes. The lowest tensile strength of 17.41 kgf/mm2, obtained at TIG welding with a strong current used 130 Amperes.Keywords: TIG welding, MIG welding, Aluminium 5083.
