Abstract

This was a quantitative study which was ex post facto in nature. The data collecting instruments consisted of a questionnaire and a mathematics learning achievement test. The results of the study show that: 1) there are not effects together of self confidence and students’ anxiety towards Mathematics as an aggregate on Mathematics learning achievements; 2) there are relationship between self confidence and students Mathematics learning achievements. Key words: self confidence, students’ anxiety, Mathematics learning achievements

Abstract

The results of the study show that: 1) there are not effects of neighborhoods, learning motivation, and students’ attitudes towards Mathematics as an aggregate on Mathematics learning achievements; 2) there are not relationship between neighborhoods and JHS students’ Mathematics learning achievements; 3) there are relationship between learning motivation and JHS students’ Mathematics learning achievements; and 4) there are not relationship between students’ attitudes towards Mathematics and JHS students’ Mathematics learning achievements. Key words: neighborhoods, learning motivation, attitudes towards Mathematics, Mathematics learning achievements

Abstract

Penelitian ini digunakan untuk menganalisis letak kesulitan dan faktor yang menyebabkan kesulitan yang dihadapi oleh mahasiswa STKIP PGRI Pacitan dalam  mata kuliah Statistik Lanjut pada pokok bahasan Regresi Linier Berganda. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Sampel yang digunakan untuk penelitian sejumlah 14 mahasiswa. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode  tes dengan soal yang dikemas dalam bentuk uraian dan metode wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Kesulitan mahasiswa ditemukan pada Persamaan Normal, Menentukan nilai , Hipotesis, Statistik Uji, dan Jumlah Kuadrat Galat (JKG) dan F table.  Sedangkan faktor yang menyebabkan kesulitan Mahasiswa adalah terletak pada kecerobohan mahasiswa ketika memulai mengerjakan soal. Diawali dengan kesalahan memasukkan data ke kalkulator, kemudian salah dalam mensubtitusikan data pada persamaan normal, kesalahan dalam operasi aljabar, terbalik dalam menentukan   dan , salah dalam memilih rumus, dan salah dalam menentukan nilai p. Keywords: kesulitan, regresi linier berganda

Abstract

This article is a result of research that aims to determine the correlation between students' geometry learning outcomes with analytical ability in the eyes of analytic geometry. This research is a correlational research. the study was conducted at STKIP PGRI Pacitan, where the population is a mathematics education students who is taking analytical geometry courses. Data were taken from 21 students, with test technique, documentation and interview. Data analysis was done by using simple linear regression analysis concept and its calculation using SPSS 16. Based on data analysis, it was found that the result of geometry of field study had positive correlation with students' analytical thinking ability. The relationship falls into the medium category, and the learning outcomes have a predictor contribution to students' analytical ability of 22.5%.

Abstract

Over the past century, there has been a dramatic increase in worldwide research.  However, these rapid increases are also arising problems or difficulties faced by the university students. Therefore, this research was carried out to reveal the types of those difficulties faced by students of STKIP Pacitan PGRI in solving the two-factor experiment tests in the design of experiment subject and the factors which cause these difficulties.  The researcher opted the qualitative descriptive design to the qualified research findings. Moreover, the samples, 15 students, were randomly taken from the total population or 93 students who attended the lectures. The technique of collecting the data employed both written test and interview of the researched subject. Based on the research findings, the students were difficult in determining the source of variance (SV), the degrees of freedom (df), the Expected Mean Square (EMS), the F value. Briefly speaking, the students were difficult in the process of calculating. While, the factors that caused the difficulties were in distinguishing the state of R, drawing a conclusion from all these factors, determining the number of r (replicate), determining the removed part from EMS, being careless in equalizing the line of numerator and denominator candidate, being unable to develop formulas, and careless in the calculation. Keywords: kesulitan, rancangan, faktorial

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat manakah yang lebih baik antara prestasi mahasiswa laki-laki dan perempuan,melihat manakah yang lebih baik antara prestasi mahasiswa dengan motivasi tinggi, sedang, dan rendah, dan pada masing-masing kategori motivasi mahasiswa, prestasi manakah yang lebih baik antara laki-laki atau perempuan.  Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rancangan faktorial 2x3. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes prestasi belajar matematika dan  angket motivasi. Dalam penelitian ini analisa data yang digunakan adalah dengan analisis variansi dua jalan dengan sel tak sama. Selain itu digunakan uji prasarat yaitu uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Semua pengujian dibantu dengan software SPSS 16. Hasil penelitiannya adalah prestasi mahasiswa perempuan sama dengan prestasi mahasiswa laki-laki pada pembelajaran teori peluang. Prestasi mahasiswa dengan motivasi tinggi sama dengan prestasi mahasiswa dengan motivasi sedang atau rendah pada pembelajaran teori peluang. Dan pada masing-masing kategori motivasi mahasiswa, prestasi mahasiswa perempuan sama dengan mahasiswa laki-laki pada pembelajaran teori peluang. Kata Kunci: Motivasi, jenis kelamin, prestasi

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang bersifat ex-post facto. instrumen yang digunakan untuk Pengumpulan data terdiri dari kuesioner dan tes prestasi belajar matematika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Tidak terdapat pengaruh secara bersama-sama kepercayaan diri dan pola asuh orang tua pada mata kuliah teori bilangan terhadap prestasi belajar Matematika; 2) Terdapat pengaruh kepercayaan diri  pada mata kuliah teori bilangan terhadap prestasi belajar Matematika.Kata Kunci: kepercayaan diri, pola asuh orang tua, prestasi belajar matematika

Abstract

This research is used to analyze the error profile encountered by STKIP PGRI Pacitan students in the course of Complex Analysis on the subject of PolarShape. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive. Subjects used as many as 2 students. Data collection methods used are test methods andinterview methods. The results of this study are on Misunderstanding, Transformation Errors and Process Errors. Misunderstanding is to assume thesymbol R = r when R ≠ r. Then assume that in calculating the root of the value of negative/positive just the same, even though the end result also remains the same. And it is often reversed between the values of x and y. Transformation error is inverted in determining x and y for cos arc formula. While the Process Error is unable to determine the magnitude of a special angle adjusted to the location of the point of z. weak in calculating the powers in the form of fractions. And wrong in drawing the z-point coordinates.

Abstract

This research aims at developing interactive multimedia-based mathematical learning and revealing how the students respond toward the media. The development steps of that interactive mathematical learning media using computer were carried out by development model of ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The instrument used to collect the data was media evaluation questionnaires. The data analysis technique was conducted both qualitatively and quantitatively. Based on the research findings that the interactive multimedia-based probability learning revealed no revision and wellreceived by the students. Although there is difficulty for the students at the initial use of it, due to abstract learning habit, but it can be overcome well.
