Abstract

Taman Wisata Alam (TWA) Pulau Bakut  adalah  kawasan lahan basah. Fauna prioritas  pelestarian di kawasan ini adalah bekantan,  sedangkan  fauna lainnya (burung)  kurang diperhatikan. Tujuan  penelitian adalah mengidentifikasi spesies dan mendata status burung diurnal. Data dikumpulkan  antara Januari hingga Maret 2013 dengan  survei atau  pengamatan langsung melalui darat dan air. Dari 31 spesies burung, 8 di antaranya dilindungi berdasarkan pada PP No. 7/1999. Menurut IUCN, dua spesies terancam punah, 22 spesies sedikit diprihatinkan, 2 spesies berisiko rendah, dan 5 spesies belum dinilai. Menurut CITES, dua spesies masuk dalam Appendix II.  Kata kunci: bakut, burung, keragaman, status, taman

Abstract

Twenty percent of primate species is found in Indonesia1. Proboscis monkey (Nasalis larvtaus) or bekantan is one of endemic species in Kalimantan2,3. This primate is belonging to Colobinae subfamily and distributed in Kalimantan (Indonesia), Sabah and Serawak (Malaysia), and Brunei. Proboscis monkey is belonging to endangered species based on International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN) assessment4. Indonesian Ministry of environment and forestry established Proboscis monkey is belonging to one of twenty five species which has been incrased in population.Blood cells have important role in body regulation such as maintaining body temperature, carriying oxygen, nutrition, hormone and metabolism product to the whole body5. Blood examination is important for body health evaluation6,7, especially in non-human primate where lived in zoo, animal captive or rehabilitiation center6. The aim of this study was to investigate the profile and morphology of female-juvenile proboscis monkey blood cells at rehabilitation center (Sahabat Bekantan Indonesia Foundation) in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan.

Abstract

SMA Negeri 1 Aluh-Aluh Kabupaten Banjar memiliki laboratorium dan seperangkat mikroskop yang dapat digunakan saat praktikum pengamatan sel dan jaringan, namun efek pandemi covid-19 dengan pembelajaran yang dominan daring, menyebabkan kendala saat pembelajaran praktik yang menggunakan mikroskop. Untuk mengatasi ini maka perlu dilakukan Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dengan judul “ Bimbingan Teknis Pengenalan Mikroskop dan Penggunaannya pada  Pembelajaran Biologi Kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Aluh-Aluh Kabupaten Banjar”. Kegiatan bertujuan untuk mengenalkan bagian-bagian mkroskop dan fungsinya serta memberi keterampilan penggunaan mikroskop kepada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Aluh-Aluh Kabupaten Banjar. Metode  kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini menggunakan   model bimbingan teknis Explicite Instruction. Hasil kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat menunjukkan para siswa dan guru pendamping sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan dan berminat sekali untuk mengamati obyek-obyek biologi yang lain di sekitar lingkungan sekolah. Sedangkan tingkat penguasaan keterampilan penggunakaan mikroskop rata-rata sebesar 90,83. SMA Negeri 1 Aluh-Aluh Banjar Regency has a laboratory and a set of microscopes that can be used during cell and tissue observation practicum. Still, the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic with dominant online learning have caused problems in practical learning using a microscope. To overcome this, it is necessary to carry out community service activities titled "Introduction to the microscope and technical guidance on its use in Class X Biology learning at SMA Negeri 1 Aluh-Aluh, Banjar Regency". The activity aims to give the skills of using a microscope to class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Aluh-Aluh, Banjar Regency. The method of this community service activity uses the explicit instruction learning model. Community service activities showed that the students and accompanying teachers were very enthusiastic about participating in the activity and very interested in observing other biological objects around the school environment. At the same time, the level of mastery of the skills of using a microscope on average is 90.83.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) examine the influence of inquiry-based learning on product cognitive learning outcomes. 2) examine the influence of inquiry-based learning on the cognitive learning outcomes of the process. 3) examine the influence of inquiry-based learning on the critical thinking skills of high school students. The model used was quasi experiment with counter balance design, and the nonequivalent control group design. The independent variables of inquiry-based learning, while the dependent variable is the result of cognitive learning of the product, the cognitive learning outcome of the process, and the critical thinking ability. The research population of students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Tabuk Banjar District consists of three classes, namely class XI IPA-1 XI IPA-2 and XI IPA-3. The samples of the significance test to the learning outcomes of treatment I were class XI IPA-2 and XI IPA-3, and control class XI IPA-1. Class II treatment is class XI IPA-1 and XI IPA-2, while control class is class XI IPA-3. Determination of treatment class with purposive sampling technique. The sample of significance test on the critical thinking thinking ability of class is XI IPA-2 and XI IPA-3, while control is class XI IPA-1. The study was conducted three months (October-December 2016). The instrument of cognitive product and cognitive measuring processes consists of multiple choice test items, and for measuring critical thinking skills with essay tests. The cognitive learning outcomes are scored 1 if true and 0 if false, whereas critical thinking skills use rubric essay tests. Test of significance using anacova with SAS release 9.1.3. The results obtained 1) Inquiry-based learning has an effect on the product cognitive learning outcomes (F-ratio = 42.95, P = 0.001 and F-ratio 37.84; P = 0.001). 2) also affects the cognitive learning outcomes of the process (F-ratio = 94.84; P = 0.001 and F-ratio 54.56; P = 0.001); and 3) has no effect on applicability (F-ratio = 1.03 , P = 0.36), but has an effect on the ability to analyze (F-ratio = 39.75, P = 0.001, F-ratio 2.83.56; P = 0.05; F-ratio 11.89; P = 0.001), and the ability to evaluate (F-ratio = 2.70; P = 0.05).

Abstract

Online learning has obstacles, including the lack of interaction between students and teachers which causes students to become bored with monotonous learning. The concept of the circulatory system is a complex material, so it requires varied teaching materials such as problem-based learning-based electronic modules that can improve mastery of sub-concepts and help students learn independently. PBL-based electronic modules can improve student learning outcomes and electronic modules can support the learning objectives to be achieved. This study aims to describe student responses to the developed electronics module. The research method used is Research and Development in the form of a 4D model consisting of the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages which are modified only until the develop stage. The subject of the response test consisted of 9 students of class XI MIPA SMAN 4 Banjarbaru. The results of the research on the developed PBL-based electronic module obtained a student response test score of 4.58 in a very positive category which indicates that the developed electronic module has a very positive impact on students.

Abstract

The world of education in the 21st century must produce a generation that is skilled in the application of technology and capable of critical thinking. Electronic Student Worksheets with indicators of critical thinking skills are present and have become an innovation of learning tools that were previously in print form to digital form. The goal of this research is to describe the practicality and effectiveness of the electronic LKPD expectations on the concept of Ecology. The Tessmer design is used in the research method, which includes: 1) expert review; 2) one-on-one evaluation; and 3) small group evaluation. The validation subjects were three experts; the individual test subjects were three class X high school students; and the small group test subjects were four class X high school students. The information gathered came from research instruments in the form of an assessment sheet for the practicality and effectiveness of expectations. Based on student responses, this research shows that the practical results of the electronic LKPD expectations are in a very good category, and the results of the effectiveness of expectations are in a very good category (covering interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, explanation, and self-regulation skills) based on the critical thinking skills assessment of students working on electronic LKPD.

Abstract

Lichen banyak ditemukan menempel pada kulit batang pohon. Taman Buah Lokal di kawasan Rambai Mangrove Center merupakan kawasan yang terdiri dari dataran rendah dan sebagian kawasan mangrove rambai yang berlumpur dan mengalami pasang surut. Dilakukannya penelitian ini memiliki tujuan yaitu agar diketahui apa saja jenis-jenis lumut kerak (lichen) di Taman Buah Lokal Kawasan Mangrove Rambai Center. Serta untuk mendeskripsikan kesesuaian, kelayakan, keterbacaan dan respon terhadap E-Booklet yang dikembangkan sebagai materi penunjang mata kuliah Cryptogamae (Botani Tumbuhan Rendah). Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif pada penelitian jenis lumut kerak (lichen) di Taman Buah Lokal kawasan Mangrove Rambai Center dengan teknik pengambilan data secara jelajah. Pengembangan model 4-D ditetapkan sebagai model pengembangan booklet elektronik. Pengembangan ini akan melewati beberapa tahap yaitu uji kesesuaian, kelayakan, keterbacaan serta respon mahasiswa/i menggunakan model pengembangan 4–D (Four D). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ditemukan sebanyak 8 spesies lumut kerak (lichen) di Taman Buah Lokal Kawasan Mangrove Rambai Center. Booklet elektronik lumut kerak (lichen) yang dikembangkan memperoleh nilai kesesuaian yaitu 4,47 yang tergolong sangat sesuai, memperoleh nilai kelayakan yaitu 4,47 yang tergolong sangat layak, memperoleh nilai keterbacaan yaitu 89,6 % yang tergolong sangat baik dan memperoleh nilai respon mahasiswa/i sebesar 90 % yang tergolong sangat positif.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat akan mempengaruhi semua aspek kehidupan, termasuk politik, ekonomi, sosial, budaya dan pendidikan. Mendukung pembelajaran yang optimal dan membantu siswa mengembangkan keterampilan mulai dari keterampilan berpikir tingkat paling dasar hingga tingkat yang lebih tinggi. Ada bagian yang tidak terpisahkan dari pembelajaran, bahan ajar berupa lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD). Siswa dibimbing untuk mencari pembelajaran konseptual, salah satunya adalah pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBL). Berkenaan dengan itu, dengan menyesuaikan dengan kondisi saat ini yaitu pandemi COVID-19 dan perkembangan teknologi, perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan adalah LKPD elektronik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan dan kegunaan LKPD untuk pembelajaran berbasis masalah pada materi Sistem Gerak Kelas XI. Subjek uji validitas adalah 3 orang ahli,subjek uji one-to-one adalah tiga siswa kelas XI MIA, dan subjek uji small group (kelompok kecil) adalah kelompok yang terdiri dari 4 siswa kelas XI MIA. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian pengembangan untuk menghasilkan produk yang valid dan praktis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) validitas LKPD elektronik berdasarkan uji ahli/pakar memiliki kategori valid (3,75), 2) kepraktisan isi menurut one-to-one evaluation (uji individu) dalam kategori baik (3,77) dan kepraktisan harapan menurut small group evaluation (evaluasi kelompok kecil) dalam kategori sangat baik (98,81%).
