Abstract

Throughfall is part of the rainwater that falls onto the surface of the soil through the cracks and the canopy or in the form of runoff from the leaves, twigs or branches. This study aims to determine the effect of rainfall on the stand throughfall Aubreville architecture models, Leeuwenberg and Stone. To calculate the amount of throughfall measurements directly on three models of tree architecture Aubreville, Leeuwenberg and Stone each repeated 3 times measured for 30 times the rainfall event. The results showed the highest throughfall Aubreville models by 18.74% and the smallest model of Stone 12.36% of the total rainfall 413.60 mm. Relations with throughfall precipitation is 75% in model Aubreville, 36% and 43% models Leeuwenberg Stone models.Keywords: Throughfall, stem flow, architecture model, watershed

Abstract

Research on the species of Plants of the Fabaceae Tribe Subfamili Caesalpinioideae at the area of Tadulako University Campus has been conducted from January to April 2019. This study aims to record, describe and determine the invasive status of plant species Fabaceae subfamili Caesalpinioideae. The research was based on botanical exploration method. The results showed there were 10 species from subfamily Caesalpinioideae including Acacia farnesiana (L.) Willd., Albizia saman (Jacq.) Merr., Caesalpinia pulcherrima (L.) Sw., Cassia javanica L., Delonix regia (Hook.) Raf., Desmanthus virgatus (L.) Willd., Leucaena leucocephala (Lam.) de Wit, Mimosa pigra L., Mimosa pudica L., Senna siamea (Lam.) H.S.Irwin & Barneby. Number of Species have been used as protective plants (5 species), as ornamental plants (2 species) and potentially as invasive species (3 species).

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul ?Pola Distribusi dan Kerapatan Pandanus sarasinorum Warb., pandan endemik Sulawesi di hutan pegunungan sekitar danau Kalimpa?a Taman Nasional Lore Lindu? yang dilaksanakan dari bulan Maret sampai Mei 2018. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola distribusi dan kerapatan Pandanus sarasinorum Warb. di hutan pegunungan sekitar danau Kalimpa?a Taman Nasional Lore Lindu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan 7 buah transek yang berukuran 50 x10 m beserta plot kecil 10 x10 m di dalamnya. Hasilnya menunjukan pola distribusi Pandanus sarasinorum Warb. adalah pola mengelompok. Kerapatan tertinggi untuk tingkat dewasa, terdapat pada transek kelima dengan nilai kerapatan 340 dan kerapatan relatif 25,37%, sedangkan kerapatan terendah terdapat pada transek ketujuh dengan nilai kerapatan 100 dan kerapatan relatif 7,47%. Kerapatan tertinggi untuk tingkat anakan, terdapat pada transek keempat dengan nilai kerapatan 60 dan kerapatan relatif 37,5%, sedangkan kerapatan terendah terdapat pada transek ketiga dengan nilai kerapatan 20 dan kerapatan relatif 12,5%.

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai Kajian Etnobotanisuku Euphorbiaceae yang dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat suku Pekurehua di desa Wuasa dan Kaduwaa Kecamatan Lore Utara Kabupaten Poso Sulawesi Tengah dilakukan dengan metode snowball sampling pada bulan januari sampai Maret 2018. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan jenis tumbuhan suku Euphorbiaceae di desa Wuasa dan desa Kaduwaa Kecamatan Lore Utara Kabupaten Poso  Sulawesi Tengah. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara mewawancarai, memberikan kuisioner dan pengamatan langsung di lapangan. Identifikasi Dilakukan Di Laboratorium Biodiversitas Jurusan Biologi FMIPA UNTAD. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 10 genus dari 17 jenis tumbuhan suku Euphorbiaceae yang dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat suku Pekurehua sebagai bahan pangan, obat-obatan, bahan bangunan, kayu bakar dan sebagai tanaman hias.

Abstract

Penelitian Induksi Kalus Tanaman Kentang Dombu (SolanumtuberosumL.) secara In vitro dengan penambahan Konsentrasi Ekstrak Tomat dan Air Kelapa, telah diilaksanakan pada bulan Mei sampai September 2018 di Laboratorium Kultur Jaringan Jurusan Biologi Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Tadulako. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi ekstrak tomat dan air kelapa terhadap pembentukan kalus tanaman kentang (S. tuberosum L.) secara in vitro.Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 7 perlakuan dan diulang sebanyak 4 kali. dan Dalam setiap satu botol kultur menggunakan ditanam 2 eksplan. Perlakuan yang dicobakan terdiri dari: T1 (MS0 + ekstrak tomat 10 %),T2 (MS0 + ekstrak tomat 15 %), T3 (MS0 + ekstrak tomat 20 %), T4 (MS0 + air kelapa 20 %), T5 (MS0 + air kelapa 25 %), T6 (MS0 + air kelapa30 %), T7 (Kontrol/MS0). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Hari pembentukan kalus tercepat, yang terbentuk lebih cepat pada perlakuan T6 dengan rata-rata 1,5 HST. Media yang paling baik digunakan pada pertumbuhan kalus terdapat adalah pada T7 (Kontrol)

Abstract

The research on structure and floristic composition of vegetation of  the Lore Lindu National Park has been conducted  from  October to  Desember 2010. The objectives of the research was to study the vegetation potency are included species richness, structure and composition. The Research was located at three locations namely : Bora (elevation  400- 800 m asl), Nokilalaki (elevation 1300-1800 m asl) and Rorekautimbu  (elevation  2100 ? 2600 m asl).  The research was used survey methods through establisment of transect with 20 m in wide.  and in line transect was made nested plot continuously with the size of 20 X 20 m for the observation of trees (dbh> 20 cm), 10 x 10 m for poles, 5 X 5 m and 2 x 2 m to observe the saplings and understorey layer. The result showed that the plant species richness (incl. tree, pole, sapling and seedling and understory plant) in Nokilalaki was higher than  Bora and Rorekautimbu. The diversity index  of Nokilalaki was also higher than Bora and Rorekautimbu. The species composition and structure was indicated the significantly different, where the location I (Bora) was dominated by Dracaena arborea and Tamarindus indica, besides Nokilalaki was dominated by Lithocarpus elegans and Castanopsis accuminatisima (both Fagaceae).  On the other side Rorekautimbu was dominated by Podocarpaceae family such as: Phyllocladus hypophyllus and Dracrycarpus imbricatus. All of research sites studied were very rich with plants are have potency to develop as raw material for  medicine such as Begonia sp, Tasmania piperita and Galbulimima belgraveana. Besides that it was also can be developed as ornamental plant such as: Agalmailla sp (Gesneriaceae), Rhododendrons sp, Vaccinium sp  (both Ericaceae) and several species of pitcher plants  (Nepenthes spp) and soon

Abstract

Penelitian berjudul Kerapatan rotan ?Taimanu? ( Korthalsia celebica Becc.) di Ngata Toro Kecamatan Kulawi Kabupaten Sigi Sulawesi Tengah telah dilaksanakan dari bulan Juli sampai September 2018. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui kerapatan populasi K. celebica Becc. di Ngata Toro Kecamatan KulawiKabupaten Sigi Sulawesi Tengah. Penelitian menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan membuat sebanyak 7 buah transek yang berukuran 50 x10 m beserta plot kecil 10 x 10 m di dalamnya. Hasilnya menunjukkan kerapatan tertinggi untuk tingkat dewasa, terdapat pada transek ketiga dengan nilai kerapatan 380 dan kerapatan relatif 27,9%, sedangkan kerapatan terendah terdapat pada transek keenam dengan nilai kerapatan 40 dan kerapatan relatif 2,9%. Kerapatan tertinggi untuk tingkat anakan, terdapat pada transek ketiga dengan nilai kerapatan 280 dan kerapatan relatif 35,8%, sedangkan kerapatan terendah terdapat pada transek kedua dan empat dengan nilai kerapatan 140 dan kerapatan relatif 17,9%.

Abstract

(Article History: Received 14 November 2020; Revised 15 December 2020; Accepted 5 January 2021) ABSTRAKPenelitian tentang keanekaragaman jenis jahe-jahean (Zingiberaceae) di Cagar Alam Pangi Binangga telah dilakukan dari bulan Oktober 2019 - Januari 2020. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji jenis-jenis tumbuhan yang tergolong Zingiberaceae di Cagar Alam Pangi Binangga. Penelitian dilakukan secara survei di lapangan, menggunakan metoda eksplorasi (jelajah). Identifikasi spesimen dilakukan di Laboratorium Biosistematika Tumbuhan Jurusan Biologi Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Tadulako. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat sebanyak 8 jenis yang terdiri atas 4 marga. Jenis yang ditemukan adalah Alpinia eremoclamis, A. rubricaulis, Alpinia sp1, Alpinia sp2, Etlingera tubilabrum, Etlingera sp., Sulettaria sp. dan Zingiber sp.Kata kunci: Cagar Alam Pangi Binangga; Sulawesi Tengah; Zingiberaceae ABSTRACTResearch on Diversity of ginger (Zingiberaceae) in the Pangi Binangga Nature Reserve has been carried out from October 2019 - January 2020. The results showed as many as 8 species consisting of 4 genera. Abstract

Research on medicinal plants in the study of ethnobotanyKailiRai tribe in Toga village has been conducted from November to February 2013 in Toga village, AmpibaboSubdistrict, MoutongParigi District, Central Sulawesi. This study was aimed to obtain information about the types of plants used as traditional medicine, plant organs used, types of habitus is used, the type of disease that can be treated and how to use of medicinal plants This research used exploratory survey methods and methods of Participatory Rural Appraisal. Based on the survey results revealed that as many as 46 species of plants and herbs used as medicine are most widely used are as many as 7 species of Zingiberaceae family. Habitus herbs used include trees, shrubs and herbs. habitus of the most widely used as a medicinal plant is herbaceous by 50%. Parts of the plant are used, among other roots, rhizomes, bark, leaves, and fruits. Part of the organ that is most widely used leaves by 47,36%. Toga villagers utilized drugs to treat diseases such as gout, high blood pressure and burns. Medicinal plants used by boiled, mashed, squeezed and baked before serving. Keywords : Ethnobothany, Medicinal plants, Toga Village.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to determine the species composition, attendance level, species diversity and evenness of birds in Wera Nature Park, Sigi, Central Sulawesi. Data of birds was collected during February - March 2016 using point count method or IPA (Index Point of Abundance) by placing an observer at a systematically and predetermined point, then record and identify the birds directly by visually encountered or indirectly by voice. T-test was used to determine differences in bird species diversity between morning and afternoon at the 95% confidence level. During the study period, 35 avian species belonging to 21 families were identified. The families with most members were Colubridae and Cuculidae, each of the families have 6 species member. In addition, 6 endemic species to Sulawesi were also recorded. Based on the guild, 10 species of birds were 100% in the occurance. Results of evenness of birds and bird species diversity in Wera Nature Park did not differ significantly between morning and afternoon. It seems to be influenced by the availability of food in the Wera Nature Park both in the morning and afternoon. So TWA Wera is still a appropriate habitat for the bird life.
