Abstract

One of the interesting physical phenomenon to be studied is about eccentricity of the Moon's orbit on the movement of the Earth and the Moon as explained in Kepler's Law. In order to explain the phenomenon,several research has been done to determine the measurement accuracy of Moon disk diameter using Trackers and to know the result of the eccentricity value in the application of Kepler's Law. This research can produce eccentricity values accordance with the application of Kepler’sLaw. The research method used is Image Analysis Techniqueassisted with Tracker. The result of this research shows that the eccentricity value obtained is 0.07 ± 0.01. This is in accordance with Kepler's first Law which stated that orbits of each planet and satellite is an ellipse and has an eccentricity value of 0 <e <1. The value of eccentricity obtained has accuracy of 22%,if it compared with the actual value.Whereas, if it compared with the value of ephemeris then the value of accuracy is 8%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the content of Bisphenol A (BPA) on various temperatureandcontact timesbetween the plastic bag and water. For analysis of BPA, a sample made with variations of temperature (± 70°C, ± 80°C, ± 90°C) and contacttime(5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes) usingnine samples. To determine the concentration of BPA, Lambert-Beer law was employed.According to the analysis of data, the content of BPA on the temperature variation showed that the higher the temperature of the sample, the higher the content of Bisphenol A in the sample. The content of BPA with a variation of contact times stated that with the longer contact time, the higher the content of BPA.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the volume of traditional eucalyptus oil from distillation with variations in fluid flow velocity. The method of distillation was distillation with water (water distillation). The material was eucalyptus leaves. To determine the volume of eucalyptus oil produced by distillation, the distillation device was set at the height of the condenser to the source of flow fluid, which was at an altitude of 15 cm, 25 cm, 35 cm, 45 cm, and 55 cm. Variation in the height of the condenser would affect the fluid flow rate. The faster the fluid flow rate, the greater the convection coefficient so that it increased the heat transfer rate. This results in greater volume (capacity) of oil produced. From these experimental results, most volumes of eucalyptus oil obtained from the distillation was obtained at 55 cm of the height of condenser with 3.6 mLof oil volume.

Abstract

This study aims to develop physics Specific Pedagogy (SSP) Subjects of Edmodo-assisted guided inquiry model of static fluid subject and describe the feasibility of the products it produces. The research design used in this study is the 4-D Research and Development (R & D) model, with define, design, develop and disseminate stages. In this regard, disseminate merely provides products to schools. Research subjects in class XI MIPA 5 as part of a limited trial of the products produced. The instrument used in this study is the SSP validation sheet which includes syllabi, RPP, and LKPD. Data collection is done using validationsheets and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is by describing the validation results forwarded by calculating CVR (Content Validity Ratio) and CVI (Content Validity Index). To determine the reliability of the product, PA (Percentage Agreement) is used. Inthis study, the results of the validation of the SSP obtained include the syllabus of 3.75, RPP 3.68, and LKPD 3.60 categorized as valid with the PA value for syllabus of 96.88%, RPP 97.26% and LKPD 97.19 % categorized as reliable. The CVI value for the syllabus is 0.60,RPP 0.55, and LKPD 0.36. Whereas CVR assessment is categorized as valid. So that it can be concluded that, the Physical Specific Pedagogy (SSP) subject of edmodo assisted inquiry inquiry on the topic of static fluid is feasible to be used in learning.  Keywords: Subject Specific Pedagogy, Guided Inquiry, Edmodo, Static Fluid

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini dibuat suatu eksperimen yang secara otomatis dapat mengukur kecepatan benda menggelinding pada bidang miring berbasis mikrokontroler dengan sensor photogate serta dibandingkan dengan hasil dari analisis video Tracker. Pembuatan sensor photogate didasarkan pada LED inframerah dan Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) yang dipasangkan di lintasan bidang miring sebagai pendeteksi silinder tepat saat menggelinding. Hasil perhitungan nilai ralat kecepatan rata-rata dan percepatan rata-rata pada sudut 5° dan sudut 10° menggunakan sensor photogate lebih kecil daripada analisis video Tracker, hal ini menunjukkan pengukuran pada sensor photogate lebih teliti dari analisis video Tracker. Kesalahan relatif kecepatan rata-rata pada sudut 5°, 10°, dan 15° bila dibandingkan dengan Tracker adalah  6,03%, 9% dan 73,62%. Ketelitian dari pengukuran menggunakan sensor photogate dapat dilakukan dengan kemiringan sudut bidang miring antara 1° sampai 10°.

Abstract

This development research produces interactive physic electronic products using the interactive physics SETS approach (Science, Environment, Technology and Society) in terms of presenting the components of illustration, language, and the suitability of the material. The validity results of the electronic module carried by experts and teachers develeop the average yield of 96.36% so it is feasible to use. The study design is pretest-posttest control group to see the improvement of  literacy dimension process. Subject of the study consisted of two groups: the experimental group and the control group. The data collection formed by science literacy of dimension content and process is analyzed using MANOVA with significance level of 5%. The results showed that the electronic module using SETS approach significantly influence the improvement of science literacy dimension content and process.

Abstract

Abstract

The simulation of the drift method application using a celestial body tracker has been done. Experiments were carried out by recording the movement of a celestial body tracker with variation orientation of polar angle and azimuth from the true south and polar angle a particular location. The variation is between -2° to +2°. It was found that the greater the difference in the mounting orientation from the true orientation, the greater the shift in altitude and azimuth of the celestial object’s path.

Abstract

This study is aimed at determining the viscosity of Sumbawa honey. The sample used was produced by the Apis Dorsata species of honeybees, having three different types of concentrations: 10%, 20% and 30%, respectively. The test sample solution was at a temperature of 23.3 ± 0.5 oC. The viscosity value was determined using the corrected vertical spherical oscillation method. The results of this study identified a tendency for increased viscosity to the concentration of honey solution, which has been determined by extrapolating the equation of the linear regression. The relationship of concentration to true viscosity satisfies the equation y = 0.0199x + 0.0160. Furthermore, the Sumbawa honey viscosity was 2.006 Pa.s.

Abstract

Konsep perubahan intensitas cahaya terhadap jarak memerlukan metode pengukuran yang memberikan ketepatan dalam menghasilkan data. Aplikasi light meter pada smartphone digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengukur penjumlahan intensitas cahaya (I) dari dua sumber cahaya. Daya lampu divariasikan untuk mendapatkan data intensitas cahaya pada jarak dan daya lampu yang berbeda. Hasil perolehan intensitas cahaya untuk ketiga variasi adalah 6,2746 Cd dan 5,8546 Cd, 9,8808 Cd dan 9,6650 Cd, serta 12,8302 dan 11,9215. Diperoleh iluminasi (E) sebesar 32,59671 lux dan 26,964 lux, 51,3220 lux dan 44,9105 lux, serta 43,9934 lux dan 37,1495 lux. Hasil dari intesitas cahaya dan iluminasi yang diperoleh pada ketiga variasi berbanding terbalik dengan kuadrat jaraknya. Semakin jauh light meter diletakan dari sumber cahaya, nilai intensitas cahaya dan iluminasinya semakin kecil. Hal ini sesuai hukum keterbalikan kuadrat pada hukum fisika yang menyatakan sumber pancaran berbanding terbalik dengan kuadrat jaraknya.
