Abstract

This study aimed to identify students' conceptual mental models in understanding the concept of prime factors. This study uses a qualitative and descriptive approach, using subjective analysis. Subjects in this study amounted to 71 students in class VII. The research instrument used is a test consisting of two questions. At the same time, the data collection techniques use interviews. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that as many as subjects were included in the conceptual mental model. Furthermore, from the research results, it can be seen that students' conceptual mental models in understanding prime factors of a number, namely, students can use factor trees and understand prime numbers. This is supported by the results of interviews with three subjects stating that students can prove that 5 and 3 are prime factors of N while 15 and 45 are not prime factors of N; this is because 3 and 5 are prime numbers while 15 and 45 are not numbers. Abstract

Background: Meningkatkan kemampuan literasi siswa di era saat ini menjadi hal yang mutlak harus dilakukan oleh guru, tetapi selama pandemic covid-19 kemampuan literasi siswa menjadi kurang maksimal dan pembelajaran tatap muka terbatas belum optimal dilakukan. Memberikan pendampingan kepada guru untuk mendesain kelompok belajar berdasarkan sosiograph untuk mendukung literasi dan program merdeka belajar. Metode: Kegiatan ini diselenggrakan secara hybrid dengan materi sosialisasi miskonsepsi, literasi, sosiograph, implementasi desain pembelajran sosiograph, dan refleksi. Mitra yang mengikuti kegiatan ini sebanyak 86 Guru matematika dan Science yang yang berasal dari Yogyakarta, MGMP Matematika Ngawi, MGMP matematika Madrasah jawa timur, dan SMK Negeri Bintan Timur. Evaluasi program yang dilaksanakan ditentukan dari kriteria respon peserta terkait kegiatan ini berada pada kategori baik, dan kesediaan guru untuk menyampaikan informasi berkaitan pembelajaran tatap muka terbatas berbasis sosiograph di lingkungan tempat guru bekerja. Hasil: Guru menyakini bahwa desain pembelajaran tatap muka terbatas dengan menggunakan konsep sosiograph untuk membagi kelompok dapat mengurangi miskonsepsi matematis dan meningkatkan kemampuan literasi siswa baik numerasi dan science. Kesimpulan: Pendampingan ini memiliki respon yang baik bagi guru matematika dan science. Selain itu, dari pendampingan ini, guru bersedia untuk mensosialisasikan desain pembelajaran dengan pembentukan kelompok berdasarkan sosiograph.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a STAD cooperative learning tools that is able to improve students’ learning outcomes of 12th grade on the topic of series and sequences. This research is quasi-experimental research with preliminary development research conducted in two stages, namely learning tools development phase and experiment phase. The development phase follows plomp model that consists of five phases of development, namely: 1) preliminary investigation, 2) design, 3) realization, 4) test, evaluation, and revision, and 5) implementation. learning tools are developed in the form of: (1) lesson plan, (2) student worksheet, and (3) achievement test. While the experiments aim to determine the effectiveness of STAD cooperative learning by using developed learning tools and to compare students’ learning outcomes that taught by STAD cooperative learning with students’ learning outcome that taught by conventional learning. The results of this study showed that: (1) STAD cooperative learning tools have met the criteria for valid, practical, and effective learning tools, (2) STAD cooperative learning is effective to teach the topic of series and sequences, (3) the students’ learning outcomes that taught by STAD cooperative learning is significantly better than students’ learning outcomes that taught by conventional learning. STAD cooperative learning tools can be used as an alternative learning media on sequences and series topic. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas 12 pada materi barisan dan deret. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang didahului penelitian pengembangan yang dilaksanakan dalam dua tahap, yaitu tahap pengembangan perangkat dan tahap eksperimen. Tahap pengembangan perangkat menggunakan model plomp yang terdiri dari lima tahap pengembangan, yaitu: 1) investigasi awal, 2) desain, 3) realisasi, 4) tes, evaluasi dan revisi, 5) implementasi. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berupa: (1) Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), (2) Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS), dan (3) Tes Hasil Belajar (THB). Sementara itu, tahap eksperimen bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan sekaligus untuk membandingkan hasil belajar siswa kelas XII pada topik barisan dan deret yang diajar dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) perangkat pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD telah memenuhi kriteria perangkat pembelajaran yang valid, praktis, dan efektif, (2) pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD efektif untuk mengajarkan materi deret dan barisan, (3) Hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD secara signifikan lebih baik dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Perangkat pembelajaran kooperatif STAD dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran alternatif pada topik barisan dan deret.

Abstract

Gerakan literasi dirasa sangat penting karena dengan diadakannya kegiatan ini anak-anak mampu bersosialisasi melalui kemampuan berbahasanya dan memahami makna suatu informasi dengan sejelas-jelasnya. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode kulitatif deskriptif yang dirancang untuk memperoleh informasi tentang suatu gejala saat penelitian dilakukan Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dilakukan di desa Kendal. Partisipan utama dalam pengabdian ini adalah seluruh anak-anak yang ada didesa kendal. Namun hasil observasi minat anak-anak yang mengikuti pendampingan ini berjumlah 28 anak yang berusia 6-8 tahun. Dalam upaya meningkatkan minat baca peneliti menggunakan beberapa strategi yaitu eduation, aproach, dream, action, evaluation. Hasil dari kegiatan ini mempunyai dampak perubahan yaitu anak-anak antusias mengikuti kegiatan yang diselenggarakan seperti menulis puisi, menulis pantun, membaca, berhitung bersama, ini menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat sudah mulai tertarik dengan kegiatan literasi. Selain itu, adanya peningkatan kunjungan perpustakaan. Dalam kunjungan ke perpustakaan anak usia dini lebih gemar membaca buku yang ada gambarnya contohnya komik atau buku dongeng. Kunjungan anak lebih banyak ketika pada sore hari karena pada pagi hari anak harus sekolah kecuali hari minggu anak bisa berkunjung pagi. Selain itu, terdapat perubahan dari orang tua  dibuktikan dengan ketika masyarakat berkunjung ke Taman Expressi orang tua selalu mengarahkan anaknya untuk membaca ke perpustakaan sudut taman baca. Dengan demikian kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa anak usia-6-8 tahun antusias untuk datang ke perpustakaan seluruhnya hadir semua artinya adanya minat dari anak terkait dengan gerakan literasi. Abstract

This research is motivated by the student's interest in learning in developing the potential for mathematical understanding which is still low. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between learning frequency and students' mathematical abilities. This study uses a survey research design with a descriptive correlational method. The data in this study are the results of a study of documentation and questionnaires conducted on students in mathematics. Based on the results of the correlation hypothesis test, the relationship was 36.7%. It can be concluded that the frequency of learning with the mathematical ability of class X science students has a positive weak correlation. This means that there is a relationship between the frequency of learning with the mathematical ability of class X science students. Where if the frequency of student learning is high, the higher the student's mathematical ability.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe students' communication in solving prime factors using written and oral communication. This study uses a qualitative and descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were 46 seventh grade students of Simanjaya Lamongan, East Java, Indonesia, Middle School who had obtained prime factor material. Data analysis was obtained by using a test of prime factors and interviews. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that: 1) Written communication, as many as 40 students were able to communicate in writing with a percentage of 87% and 6 students were unable to communicate in writing with a percentage of 13%; 2) Oral communication, at this stage interviews were conducted by taking the subject as many as two students taken from one student who is able to communicate in writing and one student who is not able to communicate in writing, the results obtained that students are able to communicate in writing are also able to communicate verbally. verbally, while students who are not able to communicate in writing, it turns out that students are able to communicate orally. From the explanation above, it can be concluded that students are able to explain concepts into mathematical language, students are able to explain mathematical arithmetic operations, students are able to explain mathematical solutions and students are able to convey ideas or opinions. Thus, students can communicate in writing and orally well in solving prime factors.

Abstract

This PkM training activity aims to provide training on how to utilize technology, namely the use of free online gamification features to assist the teaching and learning process outside the classroom using the Quizizz application. The implementation method used is socialization, training implementation and evaluation. The subject of this training was attended by 15 sixth grade students. The results show that the application can increase student learning concentration and can increase enthusiasm in learning in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic so that online learning feels more fun and students can learn while playing through this Quizizz application. This training also has a significant impact on the ability of teachers to develop learning evaluation instruments using the Quizizz application.

Abstract

ABSTRACTLearning mathematics is considered difficult material by students from elementary school to high school. Based on the results of observations made through interviews with Mathematics teachers, it was found that the problems experienced by students at SMAN 1 Sewon Bantul were found. The problems experienced by students are related to three dimensions and geometry transformation materials. In addition, there are still many students who cannot understand and visualize geometry material. How to make it easier to learn and understand abstract mathematics, especially geometry material, requires learning media, namely mathematics software. In learning mathematics, students need technology-based media that can represent their intuition in understanding a mathematical concept. The purpose of this service is to socialize GeoGebra Android as an open-source application to visualize geometry learning very accurately and more easily for high school students. The method used in this service activity is a training method through lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and assignments. With the use of applications in learning, it is expected to increase students' motivation and understanding in learning mathematics, especially geometry material. The results of the questionnaire from 24 respondents of class XII IPA 6 students obtained a percentage that as much as 72.7% agreed that learning using geogebra was very interesting and interactive in learning geometry material. Keywords: GeoGebra, geometry, training, math learning. ABSTRAKPembelajaran matematika dianggap materi yang sulit bagi para siswa. Didasari dari hasil observasi yang sudah dilakukan melalui wawancara bersama guru mata pelajaran Matematika ditemukan permasalahan yang dialami siswa di SMAN 1 Sewon Bantul. Permasalahan yang dialami oleh siswa yaitu terkait dimensi tiga dan materi transformasi geometri. Selain itu, siswa belum dapat memahami dan menvisualisasikan materi geometri. Cara mempermudah belajar dan memahami matematika yang abstrak khususnya materi geometri diperlukan media pembelajaran yaitu software matematika. Dengan demikian pada pembelajaran matematika, diperlukan suatu media berbasis teknologi yang dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami konsep matematika. Sehingga tujuan dari pengabdian untuk mensosialisasikan GeoGebra Android sebagai aplikasi open source untuk memvisualisasikan pembelajaran geometri dengan sangat akurat dan lebih mudah bagi siswa SMA. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah metode pelatihan melalui ceramah, diskusi, demonstrasi, dan penugasan. Dengan penggunaan aplikasi dalam pembelajaran diharapkan dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan pemahaman siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika khususnya materi geometri. Hasil angket dari 24 responden siswa kelas XII IPA 6 didapatkan prosentase bahwa sebanyak 72,7% menyatakan setuju bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan geogebra sangat menarik dan interaktif dalam pembelajaran materi geometri.Kata Kunci: GeoGebra, geometri, pelatihan, pembelajaran matematika

Abstract

Learning is an activity that is arranged in a planned and systematic manner by involving information and the environment to facilitate students in learning. Efforts that can be made by schools to continue to achieve learning goals during the pandemic, one of which is by implementing limited face-to-face learning. Limited face-to-face learning is learning that implements the Covid-19 prevention process and pays attention to the preparations made by schools before the start of learning, to ensure that learning takes place safely, clearly determining the number of days and hours for the division of limited study groups to be carried out. To see the success of learning mathematics during the learning process. It takes one of the use of learning media that is fun for students. Thus, to overcome this problem, researchers chose to use online-based learning media, namely Kahoot. Kahoot can be accessed at www.kahoot.com which is connected to the internet. During the evaluation at the end of the lesson using the Kahoot application, it can keep students excited and not watching during the learning process. Thus, the purpose of this study is to find out how the use of kahoot learning media in the face-to-face learning process is limited to learning mathematics. While the instruments used in this study were tests, questionnaires and observations. The test questions used in the use of the Kahoot application are 5 questions for each quiz that is carried out 3 times. The test given to students is in the form of multiple-choice questions on the class VII integer material. The questionnaire in this study was in the form of closed questions or statements, aiming to find out the student's response to the evaluation tool that would be given.
