Abstract

In this era, there were so many students did not understand about mathematical well, it can prove by many students who gets low score. The purpose of this research to know the improvement of the lesson activity of students in VIII SMPN 14 Padang. And also to know the students understanding about mathematical concept by applying active types College Ball teaching strategy better than using conventional teaching stategy for students understanding. The type of this research was the VIII class of SMPN 14 Padang years 2013/2014. The sample of this research is taken by random. The experiment class was VIII2 and the control class was VIII3. The instrument of this research was the observation sheets in students learning activity and also the test for mathemarical understanding concept. The type of test was essay test. The techniques of data analysis was using test for one group by MINITAP software. The result of this research indicated that the students activity consist of oral and writing activities in mathematical learning by using active type College Ball teaching strategy has improvement. The hypothesis test by using MINITAB software in test, is got P-value smaller than α was accepted. So we can conclude that the students understanding in mathematical concept in the VIII class of SMPN 14 Padang which is use active type College Ball teaching strategy was better than the mathematical concept in the control class with conventional teaching strategy.

Abstract

This research is based on understanding of mathematical concept and the lack of individual student’s responsibility. It refers to the result 8th grade from SMP N 3 Sijunjung, Year of study 2013/2014. The purpose of this research is to know understanding of student mathematical concept that apply “talking stick” with “everyone is a teacher here” is better than understanding concept of mathematical that apply conventional learning at class VIII SMP N 3 Sijunjung. This kind of research is experimental type, subject is selected randomly. This research populution is student of VIII SMP N 3 Sijunjung, year of study 2013/2014 which is consisted of five classes. to definite experiment class and control class is executed randomly. That’s how class VIII.C chosen as experiment class and VIII.B as control class. Instrumen used in this research is about understanding of mathematical concept. Type of test used is essay with test of realibility 0,718. Analysis technic used is T-test one side with MINITAB software. Based on analysis result is recognized that both class sample have normal distribution and homogeneous. Result of test is recognized as P-value < α, so hypotheses for this research is accepted. it can be concluded that understanding of student mathematical concept that apply learning model “talking stick” with “everyone is a teacher here” is better than understanding concept of mathematical that apply conventional learning at class VIII SMP N 3 Sijunjung

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was background by students mathematical concept comprehension which was low, the students had low abblity just waiting the teacher’s answer and school did not provide enough text book for the eight grade students of SMPN 3 Koto XI Tarusan. The research purpose is to know students mathematical concept comprehension with applying cooperative learning strategy type Team Asssted Individualization better than applying conventional learning of eight grade students in academic year 2013/2014.  This type of research is experimental research with random sampling as technique interpretation sample and to be population were all students of class VIII SMPN 3 Koto XI Tarusan  wich registed in academic year 2013/2014 that amount five classes. The instrument which was used in this research was mathematical concept comprehension test. The test which was essay with test reability = 0,87. Data analysis technique was test t oneside. The result of hyphothesis  = 3,3890 and = 1,6785 because calculate > , so the research hyphothesis was accepted. It can be that students mathematical concept comprehension which applying cooperative learning strategy type Team Assisted Individualizaton better than conventional learning at class VIII SMPN 3 Koto XI Tarusan in academic year 2013/2014.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research is motivated by the ability of  understanding the concept of mathematical ability of students is still low, and students are not accustomed to discuss. This study aims to determine whether students understanding of mathematical concepts by implementing  cooperative learning Make a better Match than the students understanding of concepts with conventional  learning class VIII SMPN 1 Lengayang. This type of research is experimental research. Sampling Technique is random sampling, which was chosen as the experimental class and the control class VIII 3 is VIII 4. The instrument used in this study is the final test with a reliability study 0, 736. Based on the results of data analysis, the second class of samples are not normally distributed. Data analysis techniques use were Mann-Whitney  test. Hypothesis test results obtained probality = 0,0478. Seen that probality  is  the so the hypothesis of this study is accepted. So, it can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts by implementing  cooperative learning Make a better Match than understanding of the concept of the convensional learning students in class VIII SMPN 1 Lengayang.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The background from this research is a low comprehension students mathematic concept at SMPN 2 Bayang. This is caused by system of student learning over memorization so students are easier to forget about the materials provided. This research aims to description the development of math students activity and to know that students math concept comprehension by applying active learning strategies (GQGA) better than students math concept comprehension using conventional teaching class VIII SMPN 2 Bayang. This type of research was experiment. The instrument is acomprehension students mathematics test like essay with reliability test is 0,9186. Data analysis was performed using Minitab test the obtained P-value = 0.026 so the research hypothesis is accepted. so it can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts that use active learning strategy type (GQGA) better than conventional learning eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Bayang.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was background by student understanding of mathematical concept is still low and the students do not have responsiblity in do  the group task. He aim of this research model is to know the understanding of mathematical concepts by applying model study with cooperative type Numbered Heads Together  Accompanied Quiz better than student in understanding mathematical concepts with conventional learning. This research is to design  experimental with random subject. Instrument used in this research is the quiz and final test . Form of tes the used is form of essay with r11 = 0.816. Based on the analysis of data the are development of understanding mathematical concepts. From the test result obtained tcount = 2.031 greater than ttable = 1,682 . So that can be concluded students’  understanding of mathematical concepts apply cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together accompanied by quiz better than understanding of mathematical concepts students applying conventional learning in  the class VIII SMPN 1 Talamau.

Abstract

ABSTRACT  Background of this research are the student disable to share their knowledge with their friends in the classroom, and the students understanding of mathematical concepts  are  still  low,  the  solution  is  the  researcher  try  to  apply  an  active learning strategy tipe synergetic teaching. This study aims to determine whether students understanding of mathematical concepts by using active learning strategies synergetic type of teaching better than students understanding of mathematical concepts with conventional learning of the eight grade students at SMPN   2   Batang   Anai   Academic   Year   2013/2014.   This   research   is   an experimental study with random trials on the subject. The population in this study were students of the eight grade at SMPN 2 Batang Anai. Based on the analysis of data obtained P-value = 0,039 was smaller than α = 0,05 then reject H0, so the research hypothesis was accepted. It can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying active learning strategies synergetic type of teaching better than students understanding of mathematical concepts  with  conventional  learning  of  the  eight  grade  students  at  SMPN  2Batang Anai Academic year 2013/2014.

Abstract

Latihan fisik terdiri dari aktivitas aerobik dan aktivitas anaerobik. Latihan fisik aerobik maupun anaerobik dapat mengakibatkan pembentukan radikal bebas. Dalam keadaan ini dapat pula terjadi peningkatan sekresi BNP sebagai indikator terjadinya kerusakan otot. Brain Natriuretic Peptide (BNP) adalah Hormon type-B yang diproduksi di otot jantung yang akan terstimulasi ketika ventrikel jantung meregang dan mengalami tekanan yang berlebih atau sebagai sitoproteksi terhadap kelebihan volume dan peningkatan radikal bebas. Sampai saat ini masih relatif terbatas laporan mengenai perbandingan pengaruh latihan fisik aerobik dan anaerobik terhadap kadar BNP di otot jantung dalam melihat pengaruh positih dan negativenya terhadap fungsi jantung. Penelitian ini merupakan studi eksperimental dengan subjek penelitian pada 28 ekor tikus Wistar yang dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok (kelompok pembanding=P1, perlakuan aerobik 1 hari=P2, perlakuan anaerobik 1 hari=P3). Cara perlakuan latihan fisik menggunakan Animal Treadmill, dengan kecepatan 20 meter/menit selama 30 menit untuk latihan fisik aerobik, dan kecepatan 35 meter/menit selama 20 menit untuk latihan fisik anaerobik. Pemeriksaan kadar BNP dilakukan di Laboratorium Biokimia Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Indonesia. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa, tidak terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna kadar BNP otot jantung pada kelompok aerobic dan anaerobik yang diberi perlakuan 1 hari (sesaat). Akan tetapi dari hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kadar BNP otot jantung pada latihan fisik anaerobik cenderung lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan latihan fisik aerobik (6,00±26,13 vs  6,93±10,47) sebagai indikator terjadinya beban yang berlebih pada otot jantung. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa untuk memperbiki fungsi jantung, latihan fisik aerobik lebih baik daripada latihan fisik anaerobik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini  bertujuan untuk  mengetahui “bagaimana aktivitas belajar  mahasiswa setelah mengikuti perkuliahan Kalkulus Peubah Banyak 2 dengan menerapkan strategi “Question Student Have” disertai modul Berbasis Masalah. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian jenis deskriprif kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Semester Genap 2014/2015 di STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi aktivitas mahasiswa. Hasil yang didapatkan bahwa perkuliahan Kalkulus Peubah Banyak 2 dengan menerapkan strategi Question Student Have disertai modul berbasis masalah berpenngaruh terhadap aktivitas belajar

Abstract

Kalkulus Peubah Banyak 2 (KPB 2) merupakan Mata Kuliah Keilmuan dan Keterampilan pada Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. Proses perkuliahan masih menggunakan metode ceramah dan hanya mengacu pada 1 buku teks. Karena buku teks yang digunakan sulit dipahami, akibatnya mahasiswa tidak termotivasi untuk belajar mandiri. Oleh karena itu, dikembangkan modul yang mendukung kemandirian mahasiswa dalam belajar dan dapat memberikan kondisi belajar aktif.  Modul  yang  dikembangkan telah  diuji kevalidannya dan  kepraktikalitasannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan modul berbasis masalah yang efektif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model 4-D. Tahap yang telah dilakukan adalah tahap define, design, dan develop berupa validitas dan praktikalitas. Tahap develop yang dilakukan berupa efektivitas yaitu aktivitas belajar mahasiswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi kemudian dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul berbasis masalah untuk perkuliahan KPB 2 efektif karena sudah dapat meningkatkan aktivitas mahasiswa selama perkuliahan KPB 2
