In this paper is described about. Library management Situjuah Nagari Nagari Banda In Limo District. This research aims to describe: (1) How to manage Situjuah Banda In Nagari Library District? (2) what are the constraints faced in the management of the library in the district of Banda Situjuah Nagari Nagari Limo? Data were collected through observation and interviews in the Library Situjuh Nagari Nagari Banda In Limo District. Data analysis was performed descriptively. Conclusions are found of writing are as follows: (1) State Library Nagari Situjuah In Banda is not optimal, and the building is not owned by the library are less strategic location have not been able to accommodate hundreds of people, who are members of the public library is Situjuh Banda In. Besides, it has a library of structures and facilities are not adequate. (2) Collections Library Nagari Situjuah Banda has not cater to individual needs in the user library that consists of the main text books, supporting textbooks, reference books, fiction and non-fiction books as well as periodicals, newspapers and tape. However there are a few collections that need to be added. (3) In the processing of library collections in Nagari Situjuah Banda has not been performing all processing activities. (4) In the processing of library collections in Nagari Situjuah Banda has not been performing all processing activities. (5) The library staff strive to develop a collection of libraries and collections processing to perform well. Keywords: library management; library collections

abstractThis paper discusses the application of applications for media transfer activities at Kantor Dina Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Kota Sungai Penuh. The objectives of writing this paper are: (1) to find out how to apply Arterial archive applications, (2) to find out the constraints faced, (3) and find out the efforts made by Kantor Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan in overcoming obstacles . The research method used is descriptive method, where the author describes the facts that occur during research activities. First, in the field of archives, archivists are required to be able to obtain information easily, quickly, precisely and accurately and to maintain and maintain the physical condition of the archive to be safe and not easily damaged. The application of the Arterial archive application can assist in answering the demands given to the archivists. The stages in the application of Arterial archive applications include: the preparation, installation, and operation stages. Second, the obstacles faced in implementing applications such as lack of archivist competence in the field of technology, especially computers, facilities and infrastructure that are less supportive in the application of electronic archive applications such as the unavailability of a scan engine for archival media transfer activities. Third, several efforts were made such as: increasing archivist competence by attending trainings. To fulfill all the equipment needed in the application of the archive application, the loan is first made up to the procurement of equipment.Keyword:Â media transfer, archive, arteri.

AbstractThis article aims to describe the implementation process is the acquisition in order to penyelmatan and preservation of archives in the service of the library and Archives of the city of Padang. This paper writing method that is using descriptive method is done with observation, interview and collect data directly from the original sources namely Department of libraries and Archives of the city of Padang. Based on the discussion can be summed up the steps in the implementation of the acquisition in order to rescue and preservation of archives in the service of the library and Archives city of Padang as follows: first stage second stage archive survey assessment to the third classification Archives Archives implementation of four acquisitions in five archives the archives wrapped doing the stage of indexing and archival storage. the second constraint in the rescue and preservation of Archives first discuss about human resources in both the equipment and the cost of three means the third rescue effort in archival and preservation of the archives of the first two archival facilities and infrastructure equipment the third human resources costs.Keyword: Acquisition,Â Archives.

This article aims to describe: (1) how the processing of library materials in the Library of SMAN 1 Painan South Coastal District, (2) what are the obstacles encountered in the processing of library materials in the Library of SMA N 1 Painan South Coastal District and (3) how problem solving encountered in the processing of library materials in the Library of SMAN 1 Painan South Coastal District. Data were collected through observation and interviews with librarians SMAN 1 Painan South Coastal District. Analyzing data descriptively. By analyzing the data, it was concluded matters as follows. First, the processing of library materials in the library SMAN 1 South Coastal District has not run with the maximum, because not all the implementation of activities such as, inventory of library materials, library materials classification, cataloging library materials, and the completion of the completeness of library materials. Second, the constraints encountered in the processing of library materials, namely: (1) is not maximal performance librarian, (2) lack of funds or the budgets allocated to libraries, (3) facilities and infrastructure are inadequate. Third, efforts were made so that the processing of library materials in the library SMAN 1 Painan South Coastal District goes well, namely: (1) improve the performance of librarians, (2) provide funding / budget for the library, (3) complement and provide facilities and infrastructure adequate. The purposes of this study were are to explain about step of shrinkage inactive dynamic archives office regional parlements (DPRD) province West Sumatera and describe what are the obstacles faced in doing of shrinkage inactive dynamic archives office DPRD province West Sumatera. Technique of analyzing data is done by describing the interview, describing the results of direct observation, data has been obtained in accordance with the theory discussed, conclusions, and reporting. The results of this study were as are: (1) process shrinkage inactive dynamic archives at office DPRD has not done will, at affice DPRD doingÂ shrinkage with inventory; (2) the obstacles faced in doing of shrinkage inactive dynamic archives at office DPRD province West Sumatera are lack of expertis, the absence of records retention schedules, lack of infrastructure and the lack of budget funds are doing of shrinkage at office DPRD Province West Sumatera. AbstractIn this paper the language about Millennial Generation Information Search Behavior To Meet Information Needs. This study aims to describe the information seeking behavior of the millennial generation to meet the information needs of this study at the Padang State University. Data were collected through observation and distribution of questionnaires with students of the Indonesian and Regional Languages and Literature Department at Padang State University. Analyzing the data, concluded the following matters. (1). Starting - consists of activities that initiate information seeking activities. In general (100%) determine the topic especially before conducting an information search, in general (90%) conduct information search after discussion or consultation with lecturers, in general (95.23%) know the information needs when attending lectures, (88.4 %) know the information needs specifically, and in general (88%) do information when they are aware of and know the need for information. (2). Chaining - activities following a series of citations, citations or forms of reconciliation between documents with each other. In general (92.8 uses a bibliography to search information, generally (90.4%) use the author's name from the core reference to look for other references in conducting information searches, and in general (92.9%) use subjects from core reference to look for other references (3) Browsing - merawak, looking for, but rather directed, in areas that are considered to have the potential for the information needed.In general (73%) libraries can always meet information needs, in general In general (95.2%) look for information on the internet if the information you are looking for is not found in the printed source of information, (92.8%) generally directly looking for information on the internet if the information you need is not found in the printed source of information, at generally (45.22%) query identification (keywords). (4). Differentiating - sorting, using the features in the information source as a basic reference for checking quality or information content. in general (88%) the internet is the main source of information, in general (92.84%) The source of information printed is still very much needed in fulfilling information needs. (5). Monitoring - monitoring progress by focusing on selected sources. In general (88.09%) looked for the latest information through the internet by searching for the latest articles, in general (78.56%) needed to find the latest information to enrich the reference sources. (6). Extracting - systematically digging in one source to retrieve information that is considered important. In general (90.47 when you need information you often search the search engine (google, yahoo), in general (88.09 often uses a journal database to get information, in general (78.56%) after getting information on the internet , you directly copy the information, in general (76.19%) use the "Google" search engine because it is more relevant than other search engines.Keywords:Â behavior, millennial generation and information.

This paper is aimed at assessing the effectiveness of library services to People with Visual Impairment in Social Institution Bina Netra Tuah Sakato Padang. The method used is descriptive method, that data is collected through observation, interview, and literature study with blind people in the Library users Social Institution Bina Netra Tuah Sakato Padang. Based on the results of this study concluded matters as the following. First, the effectiveness of the services contained in the library Social Institution Bina Netra Tuah Sakato not run well because libraries still provide the services that are still in the stage of a standard or simple and the presence of special facilities should be used for people with visual impairment. Second, there are obstacles: 1) lack of effective services that are applied 2) the lack of budget funds in the provision of facilities and materials in the library collections resulted in the ineffectiveness of the library service. 3) the librarian has a friendly attitude and good, but librarians do not have the educational background of library science. Third, efforts made to overcome the above as follows. 1) provide optimal service and add to the library service, 2) proposed budget for facility improvements and additions to the library collection, 3) conduct training for librarians in order to know the ins and outs of the library and the library is able to manage it well.Keyword: effectiveness of services, library services, blind.

This paper discussed about the procedure managing the archive in the Office of Records and Documentation Solok. The purpose of this paper is to describe the procedure managing the archive in the Office of Records and Dokumentsi Solok. The method used for writing this paper uses descriptive method Â by exposing about an object as it is at a time based on the data analysis can be summarized as follows: 1) Setup Procedure Records in the Office of Archives and Documentation library of Solok according to region or area Gated system employee. Last save made â€‹â€‹less irregular, 2) the constraints faced in the Office of Library and archives is the lack of documentation of Solok archival facility and its staff lack an educational background in archives and, 3) the efforts made in the procedure of managing the archive office and library archives Solok documentation procedures that adjust the arrangement of archives with the existing theory paraphernalia weeks to complete the procedure and arrangement of archives and archivists added power. This paper discussed the design of the library in the guide books Dharma Andalas University Library. The purpose of this paper to design a library of guide books in the Library of the University of Dharma Andalas. The method used is descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection through direct observation to the field (observation) and interviews. The observations were made by direct observation to Dharma Andalas University Library to obtain the necessary data. Collecting data through interviews conducted with heads of libraries, librarians and users in Library of Dharma Andalas University. Based on the discussion can be concluded the steps in the manufacture of guide books in the library of Dharma Andalas University Library, as follows; (A) collecting data and information, (b) making a framework for writing, (c) the manufacture of cover, (d) the manufacture of the foreword, (e) the preparation of the contents, (f) the manufacture of the main contents of books, the main elements contained in guide book library is to make the first chapter that discusses briefly about the library, its vision and mission, the room layout library and the organizational structure, chapter II, which discusses the clock service, order, and types of library services, chapter III, classification of library materials, type of collection and procedures for borrowing and returning, chapter IV which discusses how to use opacs (g) makes the cover. It can facilitate the librarians in the library to socialize and faciliitate pemustaka pemustaka in using the library and find information.Keyword: guide book, service, library.

AbstractIn this writing discussed about making a food encyclopedia typical of West Sumatra. The purpose of writing this paper aims to describe the making of an encyclopedia of typical food in West Sumatra. The research method used in this study is descriptive method with data collection techniques through interviews. Data collection through interviews was conducted with the communities in each region in West Sumatra. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that the stages in the making of the encyclopedia of West Sumatra typical foods are as follows: 1) information tracing to every region in West Sumatra; 2) Collection of food data typical of West Sumatra is collected based on the results of the search for information from information sources, namely typical restaurant outlets in each region in West Sumatra; 3) the editing or checking process is carried out by completing the lack of writing the wrong word; 4) create a printed encyclopedia for West Sumatra food.Â Keywords: food, West Sumatra, and encyclopedia
