Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan keanekaragaman tumbuhan liana (kelas Magnoliopsida) di hutan Mondu Kabupaten Sumba Timur. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode garis transek yaitu dengan cara membentangkan tali raffia sepanjang 100 meter pada 3 jalur transek. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan rumus indeks keanekaragaman Shanon Wiener. Sampel tumbuhan yang diproleh dari hasil pembuatan plot pada masing-masing transek penelitian sebanyak 5 plot dengan ukuran 20x20 meter. Penentuan transek berdasarkan bentuk dan ukuran pertumbuhan tumbuhan. Faktor lingkungan yang diukur yaitu pH tanah, kelembapan dan suhu udara. Pengukuran dilakukan pada tiap titik pengamatan. Hasil penelitian yaitu ditemukan 20 jenis spesies tumbuhan liana dari 10 famili yang tergolong dalam kelas Magnoliopsida dengan jumlah 376 individu. Indeks keanekaragaman tergolong dalam kategori sedang dengan nilai adalah Hʼ= 2,918.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of using the Team Games Tournament (TGT) type of cooperative learning model on the science learning outcomes of class VIII students on the human circulation system material at SMP Negeri 1 Waibakul. The research method uses a quasi experiment, this study uses class VII-A as the control class and class VIII-C as the experimental class. The research design uses a nonequivalent control group design. This study used a sample of 72 students using non-probability sampling. Learning outcomes in the cognitive domain are obtained from pretest and posttest scores. Student learning outcomes were analyzed using statistical analysis and inferential statistics in the form of a t test. The results of the analysis obtained that the average value of the experimental class posttest was 85.33 and the control class posttest was 61.97. Based on testing the hypothesis with the t test at α = 0.05, a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 is obtained so that it can be concluded that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected, meaning that there is an effect of using the Team Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model on students' natural science learning outcomes. VIII on human circulatory system material at SMP Negeri 1 Waibakul.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of gastropod species in Kadahang Beach, East Sumba Regency. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive using the Shannon-Wiener diversity index formula. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. Gastropod samples were counted using the quadratic transect technique with a size of 1 x 1 meter placed perpendicular to the inside of 50 meters using a plot of 30 plots. The environmental factors measured were temperature, salinity, and degree of acidity (pH). Measurements were made at two observation stations. The results showed that 10 species of gastropods were divided into 7 families, 10 genera and 5 orders, namely the orders Littorinimorpha, Archaeogastropoda, Neogastropoda, Trochida, and Cycloneritida with a total of 235 individuals. The types of gastropods found were Conomurex luhuanus, Lambis lambis, Gibberulus gibbosus, Canarium labiatum, Turbo chrysostomus, Cymbiola vespertifilio, Vasum turbinelus, Trochus maculatus, Blasicrura pallidula, and Nerita signata. The diversity index obtained is in the moderate category with a value of H' = 2.168.

Abstract

The Manjali River is one of the rivers that cross Lewa District, East Sumba Regency. The Manjali River is used by local people for activities. The number of community activities around the river increases the amount of domestic waste that enters the Manjali River. This study aims to measure the microbiological quality of river water quality standards in the Manjali River. The sampling technique used in this study used purposive sampling by taking samples at 3 station points and then microbiological testing of water using the MPN method with 3 stages of testing, namely presumptive test, confirmed test, and complete test). The test results during the 2-day incubation proved that no bubbles were produced in the Durham tube, which means that there were no coliform bacteria in the Manjali River water so the water is fit for use by the community to worthy their clean water needs.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of sea urchin species on the Kadahang Beach, East Sumba Regency. The sampling technique used is a purposive sampling and analyzed using a quantitative descriptive approach with the Shannon-Wiener diversity index formula. Sea urchin samples were calculated using the quadratic transect technique with a plot size of 1 x 1 meter placed perpendicular to the inside of 50 meters using a plot of 16 plots. The environmental factors measured were temperature, salinity, and acidity (pH). Measurements were carried out at two observation stations. The results showed that 8 species of sea urchin were divided into 4 orders, namely the orders Echinaceae, Diadematoida, Camarodonta, and Stomopnestes. The diversity index obtained is in the moderate category with a value of H` = 2.026.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of the Crustacea Class Diversity Subclass (Malacostraca) in the mangrove ecosystem of Padadita Beach, East Sumba Regency. The research method used was the quadratic transect and analyzed using a quantitative descriptive approach with the diversity index formula Shannon-Wiener. This study used a sampling technique, namely purposive sampling with a plot size of 2 x 2 meters placed perpendicular to the depth of 200 meters using a plot of 27 plots. The environmental factors measured were temperature, salinity, degree of acidity (pH) and levelsoxygen (DO). Measurements were made at each observation station. The results showed that 5 species of Crustaceans (Malacostraca) that is Gelasimus vocans, Eriphia verrucosa, Ashtoret lunaris, Thalamita stimpsoni and Metopograpsus latifrons. The diversity index obtained is in the moderate category with a value of H’ =1,369.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang ditemukan di sekolah SMP Negeri 3 Waingapu menunjukan bahwa pada mata pelajaran IPA pembelajaran yang dilakukan sudah menggunakan beberapa model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa seperti problem based learning, dan jigsaw.Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa di SMP Negeri 3 Waingapu melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking stick berbantuan media video animasi. Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Penelitian yang dilakukan di kelas dengan siklus spiral. Adapun tahapan penelitian : persiapan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII B SMP Negeri 3 Waingapu yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Teknik dan instrumen pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi dan tes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu N-gain menggunakan EXCEL. Hasil penelitian dapat dilihat dari perbandingan nilai rata-rata setiap siklus pada pra siklus 42,25 (pretest),  56,45 (posttest) dengan N-gain 0,26 kategori rendah, dan nilai rata-rata pada pra siklus sebesar 51, pada siklus I nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh 58,38 (pretest), 78,70 (posttest) dengan N-gain 0,50 kategori sedang dan nilai rata-rata 84 selanjutnya pada siklus II nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh 74,18 (pretest), 95,16 (posttest) dan nilai rata-rata pada siklus II sebesar 91. Hasil tersebut dapat dikatakan meningkat. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking stick berbantuan media video animasi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII-B di SMP Negeri 3 Waingapu

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of learning models Example  Non Example assisted by media images in improving science learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 1 Rindi. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a quantitative descriptive approach. Using two cycles, each cycle consists of several stages including: planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were students in class VIII A, totaling 30 people. Data collection techniques and instruments used in this study were tests, observations and documentation. The measurement of learning outcomes is focused on the cognitive and psychomotor domains.The results of the research show the application of the learning model Example Non Example aided by media imagescan improve student learning outcomes in science subjects. This increase can be seen during the pre-cycle, cycle I and cycle II through the learning carried out. At the pre-cycle stage, there were 11 students who completed with a percentage of 37% while those who did not complete were 19 students with a percentage of 63%. In cycle I, there were 22 students who completed with a percentage of 73%, while those who did not complete were 8 students with a percentage of 27%. In cycle II, there were 26 students who completed with a percentage of 87% while those who did not complete were 4 students with a percentage of 13%. It can be concluded that the application of learning models Example Non Example aided by media imagescan improve science learning outcomes class VIII Aat Rindi 1 Public Middle School.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada para guru Biologi SMA se-Kabupaten Sumba Timur agar bisa menggunakan model-model efektif ini di kelas yang dapat menciptakan suasana pembelajaran di kelas yang aktif dan menyenangkan . Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh guru Biologi yang berasal dari 19 sekolah di Kabupaten Sumba Timur. Pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM ini menggunakan beberapa metode yakni: ceramah terkait model-model pemblajaran efektif, berdiskusi antar sesama guru guna meluruskan segala permasalahan yang di hadapi oleh guru maupun yang dialami oleh siswa. Hasil dari kegiatan PkM ini adalah sebesar 93,42% para guru memahami berbagai model pembelajaran dan berharap mendapat pelatihan yang lebih lagi dari kegiatan PkM ini.

Abstract

Penlitian ini bertujuan menganalisis tingkat kesukaran dan daya beda butir soal penilaian akhir semester genap tahun ajaran 2022/2023 pada mata pelajaran Biologi kelas di SMP N 1 Lewa. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah soal penilaian akhir semester mata pelajaran biologi kelas VII dengan subyeknya adalah guru IPA dan peserta didik kelas VII SMP N 1 Lewa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa soal dari guru mata pelajaran Biologi kelas XI tahun ajaran 2022-2023 di SMP N 1 Lewa, ditinjau dari tingkat kesukarannya butir-butir soal tergolong sukar. Hal ini dapat diketahui bahwa dari 35 butir soal tergolong dalam soal kategori terlalu sukar sebanyak 5 buah soal (14%), soal cukup 18 (52%) dan soal terlalu mudah sebanyak 12 buah (34%).
