Abstract

AbstrakGEMARIKAN (Gerakan Memasyarakatkan Makan Ikan) adalah program nasional yang dicanangkan oleh Kementerian Kelautan Dan Perikanan mulai tahun 2004 dengan tujuan meningkatkan gizi masyarakat sejak dini dari sumber protein hewani yaitu ikan. Penyediaan bekal yang beragam untuk anak usia dini merupakan suatu tantangan bagi ibu-ibu. Kemampuan mengolah bekal yang memiliki nilai gizi yang tinggi terutama dari bahan dasar ikan untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan anak-anak membutuhkan ketrampilan tersendiri. Transfer ilmu dan teknologi pengolahan produk olahan ikan bagi orang tua siswa serta guru telah dilakukan di TK Kuncup Mekar Kota Palangka Raya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan orang tua dan guru dalam mengolah makanan berbahan dasar ikan sehingga dapat menciptakan menu bekal makan anak dengan ide kreatif berupa mie berbahan dasar ikan dan sayur, rolade ikan dan perkedel ikan.Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga dilakukan untuk mengedukasi murid-murid TK tentang pentingnya mengkonsumsi ikan sejak dini. Melalui kegiatan Gemarikan akan terbangun kesadaran gizi individu maupun kolektif masyarakat untuk gemar mengkonsumsi ikan serta upaya meningkatkan konsumsi ikan sekaligus pemenuhan kebutuhan gizi masyarakat. Apabila anak-anak kita gemar makan ikan, diharapkan generasi kedepan akan menjadi pemimpin-pemimpin yang cerdas, mandiri, dan tangguh dalam menghadapi tantangan.Kata kunci : GEMARIKAN, bekal, gizi, olahan ikan air tawar.

Abstract

The recovery of peat ecosystem program for community prosperity is known as Independent Village for Caring Peat. The implementation of this activity is a collaboration between the Ministry of Environment and Forestry by the Directorate of Peat Degradation Control, which the Directorate-General coordinates for Environmental Pollution and Degradation Control with the Faculty of Agriculture Palangka Raya University. Mantangai Tengah Village is one of the villages chosen as one of the village pilot projects under the Agriculture Faculty's supervision, Palangkaraya University. As Mantangai Tengah Village located in ex Mega Rice Project a million hectare. The program suggested to the village must be included in 3 programs (rewetting, revegetation, and revitalization). Those programs could help in recovery the degradation of peat ecosystem as a result of forest fire and increase village community incomes.

Abstract

Rivers are environmentally vulnerable to pollution, mainly due to domestic activities. The water quality of the Kahayan River in Palangka Raya city is currently threatened by domestic waste that has not been improperly taken. This study aims, first, to assess whether the quality of wastewater in the Kahayan river meets the specified wastewater quality standards. Second, to determine the effect of wastewater on the Kahayan River in Palangka Raya City. The quality of wastewater and the quality of the Kahayan River water were tested using the parameters of pH, BOD, COD, TSS, OilFat, Ammonia and Total Coliform. The results are, then, compared with applicable quality standards, and analysed using a statistical approach. As the results, the BOD, TSS, Oil-Fat and Coliform parameters have exceeded the domestic wastewater quality threshold. Consequently, the wastewater should not be released into the river. Besides, the wastewater has not been significantly affecting river water property, except for the COD parameter at morning measurement time.

Abstract

Danau Hanajalutung merupakan salah satu danau oxbow yang terdapat di Kota Palangka Raya, Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah. Danau tersebut memiliki arti penting bagi penduduk sekitar sebagai tempat melakukan kegiatan perikanan, baik penangkapan maupun kegiatan budidaya. Penelitian yang dilakukan di Danau Hanjalutung untuk mempelajari panjang berat, rasio kelamin dan tingkat kematangan gonad Ikan Tambayuk (Puntius lineatus). Pengambilan sampel ikan dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode survei dengan menggunakan jaring insang dengan ukuran mata jaring 1 inch, 1 1/2 inch, 2 inch dan 21/2 inch. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, terdapat 9 famili dengan total 916 ekor ikan yang tertangkap. Sedangkan hubungan panjang berat ikan Tambayuk jantan dan betina adalah allometrik negatif atau pertambahan panjang lebih cepat dari pertambahan beratnya dengan nilai b= 1,450. Rasio kelamin antara jantan dan betina adalah rata-rata 46,76%, dan tingkat kematangan gonad tahap II paling banyak teramati. Ikan Tambayuk didominasi oleh tingTKG II, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ikan Tambayuk yang tertangkap di Danau Hanjalutung pada bulan April dalam tahap pematangan gonad.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas air Danau Hanjalutung yang berada di Kelurahan Petuk Katimpun, Kota Palangka Raya, Kalimantan Tengah dan membandingkan dengan Standar Baku Mutu Air yang ditetapkan oleh Pemerintah yaitu PP No. 82 Tahun 2001 terutama standard kualitas air untuk Kelas II dan Kelas III. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas air (parameter fisika dan kimia) seperti pH, Nitrat, Pospat, BOD, COD, TDS, dan TSS masih dibawah standar baku mutu yang ditetapkan oleh Pemerintah yaitu untuk Kelas II dan Kelas III, sedangkan suhu, kecerahan, kedalaman dan DO masih memenuhi satandar baku mutu untuk Kelas II dan Kelas III.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di Danau Batu, Kalimantan Tengah pada bulan Februari-April 2018. Danau Batu merupakan salah satu danau oxbow yang terdapat di Kalimantan Tengah. Danau tersebut digunakan sebagai lokasi penangkapan ikan yang intensif dengan menggunakan alat tangkap yang tidak selektif oleh masyarakat setempat sehingga dapat menurunkan populasi ikan. Penelitian yang dilakukan tersebut bertujuan untuk mengetahui kebiasaan makanan ikan Baung, Lais Baji dan Saluang Balu. Ikan Baung (Mystus nemurus), Lais Baji (Kryptopterus palembangensis) dan Saluang Balu (Rasbora argyrotaenia). Sampel ikan ditangkap menggunakan jaring insang dengan ukururan, 1, 1,5 dan 2 inchi. Jumlah ikan yang tertangkap selama penelitian berjumlah masing-masing 96 ekor, 139 ekor dan 121 ekor. Berdasarkan nilai Indeks Relatif Penting, jenis makanan ikan Baung adalah didominasi oleh ikan-ikan kecil sebesar 41%; Indeks Relatif Penting makanan ikan Lais Baji adalah udang kecil sebesar 77%; sedangkan jenis makanan ikan Saluang Balu berdasarkan Indeks Relatif Penting didominasi oleh lumut sebesar 80%. Sebagai data pendukung bagi kehidupan ikan, parameter kualitas air seperti pH dengan nilai berkisar antara 5,20-5,90, suhu dengan kisaran nilai 29,00 – 32,20 oC, kecerahan dengan kisaran nilai 22,00–35,50 cm dan nilai oksigen terlarut berkisar antara antara 2,60 – 6,90 mg/l.This research was conducted in Batu Lake in February- April 2018. Batu Lake is one of the oxbow lakes in Central Kalimantan. The lake is generally used as a fishing ground area by local people. The research aimed to investigate the feeding habits of some commercial fish species, namely Baung, Lais Baji and Saluang Balu fishes. Fishes caught by gillnet with the mesh size of 1, 1.5 and 2 inches. Based on the research results, the total fishes caught during the research were 96, 139 and 121, respectively. Those fishes were examined for the Index of Relative Importance. The gut composition of Baung based on the Index of Relative Importance was dominated by small fishes (41%), Lais Baji was dominated by small shrimp (77%), and Saluang Balu was dominated by moss (80%). All water quality parameters such as pH with ranged between 5,20-5,90, temperature with ranged value between 29,00 – 32,20 oC, transparency ranged from 22,00–35,50 cm and dissolved oxygen value ranged from 2,60 – 6,90 mg/l.

Abstract

This activity was carried out on October 21, 2021 in Tanjung Sangalang and Penda Barania Villages, to provide information to the community in the balangeran revegetation activity and also to conduct a plot demonstration to provide examples of how to increase the growth of Shorea balangeran. As villages that is included in a peat area which is needed to be restorated by the Ministry of the Environment, therefore, the activity that can be developed in both villages was the revegetation of the balangeran plant. The revegetation of the balangeran plant was chosen as one of the Community Work Plans (RKM) in order to restore damaged peatlands in both areas. The unsuccessful revegetation of the balangeran plant carried out by the people in the two villages was caused by the lack of insight and knowledge of the community regarding the proper revegetation system to support the growth of the balangeran plant. Making mounds is one way that can be applied in order to maintain the viability of the balangeran plants in flooded environmental conditions. Balangeran plants that live in flooded areas with a mound system still show good growth. The villages of Tanjung Sangalang and Penda Barania are villages that are often inundated due to floods. To increase the success of revegetation of the balangeran plant, which is a local peat swamp plant and has a high economic value, the planting of balangeran with a mound system is the right system to be applied to the two villages. The training on making mounds in the two villages went smoothly which was attended by the community from representatives of each village.

Abstract

This activity has been done in collaboration with Kelompok Pengolah dan Pemasar (Poklahsar) Berkah Gawi Hapakat. Food processed product produced by the group are abon ikan gabus, abon ikan patin, amplang ikan tenggiri, stik ikan pipih, empek-empek and otak-otak ikan tenggiri. As a new group, Poklahsar Berkah Gawi Hapakat needs assistance in the application of standard sanitation concepts, especially food, water, equipment, worker and environmental sanitations to obtain products that are safe for consumption and in accordance with food safety quality standards. In this activity, assistance was carried out by applying the concept of standard sanitation through the dissemination of the sanitation activity to obtain products that are in accordance with consumer demands and food safety quality assurance standards. The response of the group to this activity is quite positive because they share knowledge about sanitation which can affect the products produced and can attract consumers because raw materials to products are handled by taking into account good processing standards (Good Manufacturing Practices/GMP). Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, many products are marketed by online, or through social media.

Abstract

Generally, cultured fish are suitable in media with a pH of around 7, like mountainous river and borehole water.  However, peat water is known with low pH.  It is not suitable for fish culture, especially for fingerlings.  This study was conducted to examine the survival of African catfish fingerling (Clarias gariepinus) in the mixture of peat and borehole water with different pHs. Survival test of African catfish as subject applied bioassay method, LC50-96 hours.  Peat water as the agent was arranged for 11 concentration levels of 0% - 100% with no replication and placed in plastic basins with 20 liters each. Catfish fingerlings were used for subject fish (size 10-15 cm) and 10 individuals in each basin. Water quality, mortality, and behavior of fish were observed. Results showed that the survival ability of African catfish on peat water, the LC50-96 hours was 63.8%, with 95% CI between 53.3% and 76.4% in concentration. Behavioral response of fish fingerling exposed to peat water ≥ 40% in the beginning 2 hours was frequently swimming up to surface.  Lethal responses fingerlings were frequently taking up oxygen to the water surface, horizontally swimming, and moving vertically before death.  After death, the fish ran out of mucus, and the skin looked peeling and bruising.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek yang ditimbulkan oleh glifosat terhadap kualitas air dan kelimpahan fitoplankton dengan konsentrasi yang berbeda. Data dianalisis menggunakan software SPSS ver.22 dan dirancang dengan metode RAL (Rancangan Acak Lengkap) yang terdiri dari 3 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya efek zat glifosat terhadap kelimpahan fitoplankton dan kualitas air sampel yaitu semakin tinggi konsentrasi glifosat semakin berkurang jumlah kelimpahan individu fitoplankton. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan 2 (dua) spesies fitoplankton yang mampu bertahan meskipun jumlah kelimpahannya menurun akibat konsentrasi glifosat yaitu Scenedesmus sp. dan planktoshoperia sp.. Sedangkan parameter kualitas air yaitu pH, suhu dan DO mengalami penurunan dan TDS mengalami kenaikan setelah pemberian glifosat.
