Abstract

Social Class and Discrimination are social problems that live and are rooted in a social group. Social class is a division of groups with attributes in the form of wealth, power, and education, while discrimination is an act that harms individuals and groups. Then what is meant by social class and discrimination in the film “Upside-Down” by Juan Solanas, and what are the effects of social class and discrimination? In the division of social class, there are several divisions of groups that have an impact in the form of discrimination that occurs. The purpose of this study is to provide an explanation of what is meant by social groups and the discrimination depicted in the film, as well as how these problems impact the main actors of the film. The findings of the study showed that social class is divided into two: the bourgeoisie is a group of people who have power, an economy, and a good education, while the proletariat is a working class that prioritizes physical work and is a group that experiences difficulties in the fields of economy, education, and problems of power. The impact of social class itself has an impact; pressure between groups, creating hostility, difficulty solving problems, and difficulty upholding justice.Keywords— Social Class, Discrimination, Karl Marx, Bourgeoisie, Proletariat.

Abstract

Poem is a medium of communication used by the poet to express their idea in a beautiful language. One of the elements of poem is imagery, functions of imagery are to create a vivid, realistic description of the scene, appealing to as many of the readers senses as possible, describes the appearance of characters and settings, the sounds, smells, taste and feeling of the poet. The objective of this research were to identify the types of imagery and describe the functions of imagery found in William Wordsworth’s poems The researcher used qualitative method with descriptive approach in this research. The results of this study show that there are 4 types of imagery found, they are, visual imagery, auditory imagery, olfactory imagery and organic imagery. Visual imagery in poetry functions to represent objects seen by the surrounding of the the poet related to nature such as flowers, stars, animals, and plants, auditory imagery in poetry has a function to represent sounds that also come from nature around the poet such as voice of animals, waves, wind and lightning. Meanwhile, the olfactory imagery in the poem functions to represent the scent of plants such as the smell of straw. Organic imagery functions to describe the poet feelings related to nature where the author feel happy when he sees beautiful views. Function of imagery that appears in the poem is to describe the object, poet feeling, as well as to represent the sound and smell that the poet experience from nature.

Abstract

In this study, researcher analyzed the symptoms that arise from psychopathic disorder. The researcher analyzed 2 problems, they are: (1) What are the symptoms of the main characters potrayed in the movie "The Silence of the Lambs"? (2) What are the factors that cause the main characters of “The Silence of the Lambs” become a psychopath? The movie "The Silence of the Lambs" is a 1991 film directed by Jonathan Demme and adaptation of the novel by Thomas Harris. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive method and a psychological approach. Based on the findings, there are 8 psychopathic symptoms that appear in this movie. Hannibal Lecter's character has 6 psychopathic symptoms, namely Glib and superficial, Lack of remorse or guilt, Lack of empathy, Deceitful and manipulative, Impulsive, and Poor behavior controls. Meanwhile, Buffalo Bill's character has 6 psychopathic symptoms, namely Egocentric and grandiose, Lack of remorse or guilt, Lack of empathy, Deceitful and manipulative, Poor behavior controls, and Early behavior problems. Abstract

Proper handling of injuries will have a positive impact on improving athlete performance in the future. Kinesio tape is believed to be able to restore the neuromuscular system to normal, relieve pain during exercise, accelerate the recovery of injuries to joint sites, and overcome inflammation under the skin. The provision of this training provides added value for partners which will be applied during matches so that the handling of injuries will be handled appropriately. Besides having amazing benefits, this kinesio tape also provides convenience to use. Made from 100 percent cotton and a combination of latex free materials, kinesio tape can make your movements more flexible. Another advantage of this kinesio tape is its ability to stick well, even when wet from sweat or water sports. That way this tool can be used in various fields of sports. This activity will be held for 3 days from 08.00 to 12.00 with the provision of materials related to a healthy lifestyle. The material filler is a team of sports injury experts from the Faculty of Sports Science, Makassar State University who are quite competent in providing material related to sports health.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini di laksanakan dalam bentuk pengenalan dan pengetahuan tentang Latihan sepakbola pemain club Jawa Baru Sinjai. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk Menginformasikan kepada pemain Club Jawa Baru Sinjai tentang latihan bagi pemain club Jawa Baru Sinjai, untuk menilai motivasi dan respon pemain Club Jawa Baru Sinjai sepanjang latihan, untuk mengetahui tingkat partisipasi pemain Club Jawa Baru Sinjai dalam pemahaman latihan. Kegiatan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dibagi atas dua kegiatan yaitu kegiatan penjelasan secara teori dilakukan selama satu hari yaitu menjelaskan tentang jenis Latihan dalam sepakbola dan Untuk mengetahui jenis latihan sepak bola kegiatan praktek dan pelaksanaan dilakukan selama 6 hari. Hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa Peserta dapat mempelajari informasi tentang berbagai metode latihan sepak bola dengan sungguh-sungguh dan dapat memanfaatkannya dengan baik. dapat memberikan informasi yang cukup kepada peserta tentang langkah-langkah mulai dari persiapan hingga proses pelatihan yang akan digunakan. Meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap judul, menit, pemain, dan tujuan setiap jenis latihan di Club Jawa Baru Sinjai. dapat memperdalam pemahaman peserta terhadap materi pelatihan .

Abstract

Edukasi Senam Sehat bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat, khususnya ibu-ibu senam di Desa Kanrung, tentang pentingnya hidup sehat, kesehatan, dan kebugaran. Tujuan pengabdian adalah (1) mengedukasi masyarakat tentang manfaat senam sehat, yang dapat meningkatkan kesehatan kebugaran melalui senam, dan (2) meningkatkan hubungan sosial di masyarakat, terutama di antara ibu-ibu senam Karung. Metode yang digunakan adalah kegiatan sosialisasi atau penyuluhan yang disesuaikan dengan situasi dan kebutuhan masyarakat. Hasil PKM Kegiatan sosialisasi senam sehat bertujuan 1) memberikan pengetahuan tentang senam jantung sehat dan manfaatnya untuk kesehatan dan kebugaran, 2) mengajarkan cara mengelola materi senam sehat setiap minggu.
