Abstract

The purpose of writing this paper is to describe creative writing activities for seventh grade students in East Jakarta. This activity was carried out by a team of lecturers, students and alumni of the Indonesian Language Study Program at Indraprasta PGRI University as a form of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education in Community Service. The implementation of this activity lasted for two days at two different schools. The method used in this creative writing activity is the lecture and brainstorming methods. In addition, the Community Service team also used a demonstration method in describing the stages or process of creative writing of literature according to its experience in literary copyright. With literary creative writing activities both writing poetry or short stories, from these   our team  expected that the more real growth and development of school literacy will occur so that more students produce literary works. Therefore, the outcome of this activity is the publication of Short Story Poetry and Antalogy book by students

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to see how the online learning process for students, or children and society in the digital literacy era? How is it progressing? Can the children understand the learning process! Then what is the role of parents and their teachers in the learning process. The subjects of this study were children and their parents in Meruyung Village, Limo District, Depok, West Java. This research method is descriptive qualitative research with analytical descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observations / observations. The results of this study are in the form of data and information related to the effectiveness of online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic in the current digital literacy era.

Abstract

Local wisdom has its own value and function in society. In addition, local wisdom is part of the culture in society which is an integral part of the language and society itself. In this case, how to explore the potential of local local wisdom and bring it up in a literary work. The purpose of this study was to determine and describe the effect of the local wisdom value approach and creative problem solving models on the ability to reproduce students' literary works. From the results of the study using a two-way analysis of variance with a significant level of 0.05, it was obtained that the F0 value was smaller than the Ftabel value, namely 0.039 <4.08 and sig. = 0.536> 0.05. There is a significant effect of creative problem solving models on the ability to produce literary works. From the results of the study using a two-way analysis of variance with a significant level of 0.05, the F0 value is greater than the Ftabel value, namely 5.635> 4.08 and sig. = 0.023 <0.05. There is a significant influence the local wisdom approach has on the ability to produce literary works. From the results of the study using a two-way analysis of variance with a significant level of 0.05, the F0 value is greater than the Ftabel value, namely 11.949> 4.08 and sig. = 0.001 <0.05.Keywords: local wisdom, creative problem solving models, reproduction of literary works

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe or obtain a clear picture of grammatical cohesion consisting of references, substitutions, ellipsis, and conjunctions in the essays of Indraprasta PGRI University students. This study used descriptive qualitative method. In this study the fact of language is in the form of discourses in essays with a focus on the study of grammatical cohesion analysis. The methode used in this researched  inquired methode with notes-taken technique, which mean the researcher recorded the data that was considered appropriate in the study of cohesion analysis and discourse coherence in student essays. The technique used is to analyze based on one-to-one relationships with other sentences in the essay. The data source used is a student essay in the Literature Psychology course, there are 30 student essays taken as research data. The results of this study indicate that the grammatical cohesile device is; reference 46 with a percentage of 24.1%, substitution 5 with a percentage of 2.6%, ellipsis 8 with a percentage of 4.2% and conjunctive relations 132 with a percentage of 69.1%. Based on this, from 30 essays written by students there are 191 numbers of grammatical cohesion tools used.Key Words: student essay, tool for grammatical cohesion, conjungsion

Abstract

This form of community service is the implementation of the Literacy Village Program in the RT 03 RW 16 area, Mekarjaya Village, Sukmajaya District, Depok by providing educational reading books for elementary school-age children that have educational value. The activities carried out for the children there are in the form of reading books that have educational value. There are several stages that will be carried out by the Abdimas team. The first stage, namely finding out and identifying the problems felt by partners and subjects of community service, namely elementary school-age children. You do this by asking Mitra Abdimas as the Head of the RT there and making observations in the RT 03 area to see the activities of the children there. The second stage is to provide a place to organize the Literacy Village Program for the children there. Apart from that, the community service team provided reading books as well as prepared the necessary equipment to be used for the children's activities there. The method used in this community service is to use the literacy learning method. The literacy learning method is a Select-Know-Read-Invented-Discussion (PiKeBaDiCi) method, namely 1) choosing and recognizing books; 2) reading books; 3) discuss the theme; and 4) creating work. The existence of this community service activity can make children in the RT 03 area more enthusiastic about learning and reading with their friends. The friendship between them became even closer and the boredom and boredom that they had experienced all this time disappeared and was replaced by a feeling of pleasure during the reading activity. The feeling of pleasure from participating in community service activities has an impact on children's enthusiasm for learning and reading together as well as increasing their literacy skills. The results achieved were: 1) the availability of knowledge and information services in the non-formal education pathway in the form of books and non-books, 2) school-age children increase their knowledge, skills and develop positive attitudes, so that they have better literacy skills, 3) the availability of information services to children related to 2 of the 6 components of literacy, namely literacy and numeracy.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi saat ini yang semakin maju, menggeser dimensibudaya, adat istiadat, nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dalam masyarakat.Di eramilenal perkembangan teknologi dan kebiasaan baru muncul, membentukdimensi baru kehidupan dan melupakan nilai-nilai kehidupan bermasyarakatdan bersosial yang penting.Dalam hal ini nilai kearifan lokal yang perlu terusdigali dan dilestarikan tanpa menolak maupun menikmati kebudayaan yangmodern seperti sekarang ini. Jika melupakan nilai kearifan lokal yang adadidaerah sama halnya dengan kita melupakan keberadaan peningalan budayanenek moyang yang sangat bernilai. Penelitian ini mengangkat tema kearifanlokal untuk dipelajari dan dijadikan pendekatan untuk menulis sebuahcerpen.Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas nilaikearifan lokal pada kemampuan menulis cerpen mahasiswa universitasIndraprasta PGRI. Metode yang dipakai metode eksperimen semu (quasieksperimen).Didapatkan hasil berupa dua buah buku Antalogi Cerpen karyamahasiswa yang berjudul Quardraginta (Lebih Kecil dari Tiga). Dua buahbuku yang terdiri atas 2 bagian, yang masing-masing berisi 20 karya cerpendan total terdiri atas 40 karya cerpen. Hasil uji-t dapat ditarik kesimpulanbahwa ada perbedaan skor rerata antara kelas yang dikenai perlakuan dankelas kontrol. Diketahui setelah dikonsultasikan pada ttabel ternyata perbedaantersebut signifikan, yaitu thitung > t tabel atau 3,223 > 2,004 dengan db = 55pada tingkat signifikansi 95% (α = 0,025).
