Abstract

Research has been done to identify radioactive elements and determine  Work Level Month (WLM) values on workers in the sized room of 2m x 2m using gypsum material. Identification of radioactive elements in gipsum samples using Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) methods and measurement of radiation dose in gypsum walls using surveymeter methods. Identification of radioactive elements to the LIBS method showed an element of Th, U, K were detected. The accumulated dose of radiation detected in the room using gypsum walls is (1,6993±0,0169) μSv and the accumulated dose of radiation detected in the room without gypsum walls is (0,5657±0,0292) μSv. WLM values from the room use a gypsum walls if workers work for 1 years is 0,9924 WLM, then it is still considered safe because it is still below the RR values that has been determined that is equal to 50 WLM.

Abstract

Conventional X-ray have many limitations in describing the object being imaged because of overlap on multiple objects on a single line of projection. To overcome this limitation, the object was expossed in several directions, and then the projections from several directions was reconstructed to get cross-section image. The reconstruction method was widely used filtered back projection method as the development of a simple back projection. In this study will be evaluated the speed of the reconstruction for the back projection method and filtered back projection in the spatial domain. It was conducted for the projection angle from 0 to 180 degree, with interval  25, 20, 15, 10 and 5 degrees. In this research the number pixels was 50x50. It was found that the smaller of the interval of the angle projections, then it will get better results, but it takes longer. From back projection and filtered back projection methods, was obtained if the interval of the angle projections a half times smaller, it will take nearly twice as long of time. It was found that the time difference between back-projection and filtered back projection methods is less than 0.1 seconds. Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis paparan dan indeks eksposi pada pemeriksaan thorax terhadap IMT pasien dewasa. Data peneltian yang digunakan pada saat pengamatan adalah berat dan tinggi badan pasien, faktor eksposi yang terdiri dari tegangan (kV), Arus (mA) dan waktu (s) serta nilai FFD pada saat pemeriksaan. Pengambilan data dengan menggunakan jenis pemeriksaan thorax Posterior-Anterior (PA). Rentang usia pasien yang digunakan saat penelitian sesuai dengan aturan DEPKES pada kategori dewasa yaitu 26-45 tahun. Pengujian pada data menggunakan uji-F dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian data menggunakan uji-F diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 dan nilai Fhitung sebesar 49,166 dengan nilai taraf signifikansi 0,05 dan nilai Ftabel sebesar 3,35. Dari hasil tersebut dinyatakan memenuhi kriteria pengujian dalam statistik dimana H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pada nilai dosis paparan dan nilai indeks ekposi terhadap Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) dimana nilai indeks eksposi berpengaruh terhadap hasil citra pesawat sinar-X pemeriksaan thorax.

Abstract

There’s been research aimed at finding out the effects of age on the large absorbed dose of X-ray radiation received by the patient’s thorax examination. The observation data used to figure out the absorbed dose received by the patient is exposure factor consisting of tube voltage (kV), current (A), time (s), and distance (m) of patient from radiation source. The age range of patient obtained in this research is from 17 years until 48 years old, then it’s grouped by the age category set by Depkes. From the observation data of exposure factor and patients age, further do the test   using Oneway Anova statistical method test, by taking a significance level of a 0,05. The results from Oneway Anova statistic test is obtained FCalculate value is 1,532 amd sig is 0,211 with FTable value is 2,70 and sig is 0,05 therefore based on test criteria in statistic the early hypothesis (H0) is accepted. Presumably that the age is not affect on the large absorbed dose X-ray radiation received by the patient thorax eximination of range 17 years until 48 years old.

Abstract

Plants in growth and development require two types of nutrients, namely macro and micro nutrients.However, only N, P, and K elements are needed plants for larger amount. The purpose of this research is toprovide liquid organic fertilizer as balancing fertilizer considering the increasing price of fertilizer in themarket. Research on the use of simple composting technology in the manufacture of liquid organic fertilizeris done by involving participants from the elderly group, which is light and can be done alone. The composterused is a 25 L gallon with an outer connecting hose. The end of the hose is immersed in a bottle of water toensure the sustainability of the composting process in an anaerobic atmosphere. Production of liquid organicfertilizer using main ingredient in the form of foliage (5 kg) and livestock waste (1kg), with additivessuchshrimp paste (100 g) and brown sugar (200 g), and 200 mL EM4 as bioactivator. Five successful liquidorganic fertilizer products have the highest nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) content of0.16%, 153,75 mg/L and 663,98 mg/L, respectively.

Abstract

Hasil identifikasi keberadaan tenaga laboratorium IPA di SMP Taman Sastra Jimbaran Kuta Selatan, Badung adalah sekolah swasta yang menunjukkan bahwa umumnya kualifikasi pendidikan tenaga yang ditugaskan di laboratorium IPA belum memenuhi persyaratan standar tenaga laboratorium sekolah. Data yang diperoleh dari interview dengan guru IPA di SMP Taman Sastra Jimbaran, menyatakan bahwa sebagian besar guru IPA masih mengalami masalah untuk melakukan praktikum tentang topik-topik tertentu, tidak semua konsep-konsep IPA eksperimental dapat diajarkan dengan praktikum karena keterbatasan alat-alat dan bahan yang tersedia. Salah satu kendala yang menghambat kelancaran pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPA di laboratorium adalah terbatasnya jumlah dan/atau jenis alat yang tersedia dan belum memiliki petunjuk praktikum yang tersusun secara permanen (dalam bentuk Modul). Hasil pengabdian ini telah mengasilkan beberapa alat praktikum sederhana dan dilengkapi dengan modul praktikum yang telah tersusun dengan baik. Diakhir kegiatan alat praktikum dan modul prkatikum diserahkan kepada SMP Taman Sastra Jimbaran. . Kata kunci : Laboratorium, alat praktikum, modul praktikum

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to calculate the absolute quantity of leucocytes components of mice (Mus musculus L.) as a biological indicator of Co-60 gamma ray.  The sample of mice were grouped into 4: control; treated with Co-60 gamma ray without adaptation; treated with Co-60 gamma ray with adaptation I and treated with Co-60 gamma ray with adaptation II.  In the treatment without adaptation, mice were treated with the doses of 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 dan 3.0 Gy.  In adaptation I, mice were adapted with radiation 0.1 Gy. Just before treated with the challenge doses and in adaptation II, the challenge doses was applied 5 hours after the mice adapted with the radiation of 0.1 Gy.  The average number of mice leucocytes in control treatment was eosinophil, rod neutrophil, segmented neutrophil, lymphocyte, and monocyte, respectively.  As a result of the radiation treatments, the number of leucocytes decreased.  The number of segmented neutrophil and lymphocytes decreased as the dose increases, while the number of eosinophil, rod neutrophil and monocytes did not significantly different among three treatments.  Therefore, the components of segmented nuetrophil and lympohocyte can be employed as a biological indicator of gamma Co-60 radiation.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian analisis waktu pemupukan pada tanaman sawi hijau (Brassica rapa var. parachinensis)dengan teknik perunut radioaktif. Untuk menuju sistem pertanian berkelanjutan perlu adanya perbaikan pertanian(intensifikasi) selama beberapa tahun yang lalu masih signifikan, karena ketersediaan sumber daya alam danteknologi pertanian cukup memadai dan berimbang dengan ketersediaan lahan dan peningkatan jumlah penduduk.Keadaan ini sulit untuk dipertahankan dimasa yang akan datang, kecuali ada pendekatan baru yang menawarkan ide dan teknik untuk meningkatkan produktifitas pertanian. Efesiensi pemupukan tanaman dengan teknik perunut (tracer) radioisotop adalah salah satu potensi menujusistem pertanian berkelanjutan. Teknik perunut dapat digunakan antara lain untuk mempelajari hubungan antaratanah dan tanaman, menentukan kondisi optimal dalam penggunaan pupuk (waktu pemupukan, pola perakaranaktif tanaman, jenis dan takaran pupuk), mempelajari proses dekomposisi dan mineralisasi bahan organik, sertamempelajari proses fotosintesis tanaman,baik dengan metoda langsung maupun tidak langsung.Waktu pemupukanyang lebih tepat dapat ditentukan dengan teknik perunut tersebut, sehingga optimalisasi pemupukan dapat dicapai,tanpa pemborosan yang tidak berguna.Dari penelitian dengan menggunakan radioisotop P, ternyata waktupemupukan pada tanaman sawi hijau (Brassica rapa var. parachinensis) yang paling signifikan adalah padapukul 9.00 pagi. Waktu siang hari mulai pukul 11.00 sampai pukul 15.00 adalah waktu pemupukan yang sangatburuk. Sedangkan waktu sore hari yaitu pukul 15.00 sampai 17.00 menunjukkan waktu pemupukan yang semakinbaik namun tidak signifikan.32

Abstract

In order to avoid post power syndrome, the elderly who have a hobby of farming / gardening can be empowered through the introduction of LOF (liquid organic fertilizer) making technology and its application. The aim is for the elderly to understand the technology of making organic fertilizers that are lightweight, useful and entertaining as well as for them to feel contribute in maintaining the environment. The training method applied is a combination of interactive lecture and practice methods. Based on these methods, have succeeded in growing their creativity in making LOF and feel comforted on the results obtained. Successful LOF products contained nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (NPK) of 146,701 mg / L, 0.741 mg / L, and 0.035 mg / L, respectively, and magnesium (Mg) and calcium (Ca) of 86.332 mg / L and 1.970 mg / L. The application of LOF products has been done on the orchid plants (Phalaenopsis amabilis) with satisfactory results. Thus, the mastery of LOF making technology and its application will reduce the dependence of chemical fertilizer use and replace it with homemade organic fertilizer so it can contribute in maintaining health and environmental sustainability.

Abstract

It has been investigated the effect of slice thickness on image quality with the Contrast to Noise Ratio (CNR) parameter method using a Toshiba (TOS) phantom. The variations in the slice thickness used were 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 mm. The X-ray tube voltage and the X-ray current time used were 80 kV, and 100 mAs, which following the patient head examination protocol. The analysis of the effect of slice thickness on CNR values is determined with a simple regression test with an exponential curve.. The test results showed that variations in slice thickness affect CNR values, where the greater the slice thickness then the CNR value would be higher and better the image quality.
