Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tentang efektivitas Pendekatan Pembelajaran Matematika Realistik (PMR) terhadap Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Siswa di Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Padangsidimpuan. Mengajarkan dan mengembangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa sangatlah penting dan tidak boleh dianggap sepele. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen, dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Padangsidimpuan yang terdiri dari 6 (enam) ruangan dengan jumlah 153 orang siswa. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu kelas VIII4 yang berjumlah 25 siswa dengan menggunakan tekhnik Cluster Random Sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan tes yang sebelumnya sudah divalidasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan gambaran tentang pendekatan PMR dimana nilai rata-rata mencapai 3,83 dengan kategori “Sangat Baik”. Gambaran kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa sebelum Pendekatan PMR diperoleh nilai rata-rata 52,72 dengan kategori “Kurang”. Sedangkan untuk kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa sesudah Pendekatan diperoleh nilai rata-rata 77,92 dengan kategori “Baik”. Agar diketahui hipotesis yang ditegakkan dalam penelitian ini efektif atau tidak, maka dilakukan uji hipotesis. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan yang dilakukan siperoleh nilai sig 0,00<0,05, maka hipotesis alternative yang diujikan dapat diterima. Dengan kata lain terjadi peningkatan pendekatan PMR terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Artinya, “Pendekatan PMR efektif digunakan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Padangsidimpuan”. Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this study is to describe the effectiveness of using PBM learning model on students’ creative thinking ability at the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1Pinangsori. This research was conducted by applying experimental (one group pre test post test design) with 32 students as the sample and they were taken by using cluster random sampling technique from 217 students. Observation and test were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analysis, it was found: (a) the average of using PBM learning model was 3.5 (very good category) and (b) the average of students’ creative thinking ability before using PBM learning model was 50 (fair category) and after using PBL learning model was 77.96 (good category). Furthermore, by using pair sample ttest and help SPSS version 22, the result showed the significant value was less than 0.05 (0.000<0.05). It mean, PBM learning model was effective used on students’ creative thinking ability at the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1Pinangsori.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to see: 1) How the model of learning effectiveness Numbered Head Together (NHT) in class X SMA private Bina Artha, 2) How is the overview of the ability to solve students ' mathematical problems in SPLDV materials ( Two-variable Linear equation system) before and after application of learning model in class X SMA private Bina Artha, 3) is NHT Learning model is effective against student mathematical problem solving ability in class X private SMA Bina Artha. This research was conducted using experimental methods. The research was conducted at the Bina Artha Private high School. The population used by all students of grade X SMA Sasta Bina Artha amounted to 107 students. The sampling technique is done by a cluserter random sampling technique. The samples in this study were the X IPA2 class of 36 students. The data collection methods used are RPP, observation, and test. The average value of use of NHT models in SPLDV material (two variable Linear equation system) was score 13.85 "very good" category. While the results of learning students in SPLDV material before using NHT learning model obtained average value 68.67 category "Good" and after the use of learning model NHT obtained average value 72.36 "very good" category. Then the data analysis technique used is Test T. The analysis of the hypothesis testing is processed using SPSS. From the results of the analysis of the hypothesis test, obtained the pretests value of the tcount of 41.22 while the posttest tcount value of 43.70. Based on the results above, it can be concluded that a significant value of sig (2-tailed smaller than the value (0.000 < 0.05) is obtained. This suggests that hypotheses submitted in this study may be accepted or approved. This means that there is a significant influence simultaneously before and after the use of the learning model Numbered Head Together (NHT) on the ability to problem solving students mathematics in class X private SMA Bina Artha. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to know whether there is a significant effectiveness of using Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model on students’ mathematical problem solving ability on the topic of solid at the eighth grade students of Ponpes Al-Mukhtariyyah Sungai Dua Portibi. The research was conducted by applying experimental method (one group pretest post test design) with 42 students as the sample and they were taken by using simple random sampling technique from 128 students. Observation and test were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analysis, it could be found (a) the average of using TPS learning model was 3,33 (very good category) and (b) the average of students’ mathematical problem solving ability on the topic of solid before using TPS learning model was 61.65 (enough category) and after using TPS learning model was 79.66 (good category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using pair sample ttest, (SPSS version 20),the result showed the significant value was less than 0.05 (0.000<0.05). It means, there is a significant effectiveness of using Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model on students’ mathematical problem solving ability on the topic of solid at the eighth grade students of Ponpes Al-Mukhtariyyah Sungai Dua Portibi. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to describe the effectiveness of using problem based learning (PBL) model reviewed from students’ critical thinking ability on the topic two- variable linier equation system at the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Batang Angkola. The research was conducted by applying experimental method (one group pretest post test design) with 34 students as the sample and they were taken by using simple random sampling technique from 135 students. Observation and test were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analysis, it could be found (a) the average of using PBL model was 2.94 (good category) and (b) the average of students’ system of two-variable linear equation system achievement before using PBL model was 50 (fair category) and after using PBL model was 91.51 (very good category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using pair sample ttest (SPSS 22) and N-Gain, the result showed significant value was less than 0.05(0.000<0.05) and g=0.83 (high category). It means, PBL model was very effective used reviewed from students’ critical thinking ability on the topic two- variable linier equation system at the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Batang Angkola. Abstract

Abstract The aimof this studyis to know whether the use of quantum teaching is effective on students’ mathematical problem solving ability at the second Patayat Pondok Pesantren Musthafawiyah Purba Baru. The research was conducted by applying experimental method (one group pretest post test design) with 48 students as the sample and they were taken by using cluster random sampling technique. Observation and test were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analysis, it was found: (a) the average of using quantum teaching was 3.5 (good category) and (b) the average of students’ mathematical problem solving ability before using quantum teaching was 46.62 ( fair category) and after using quantum teaching was 78.74 (good category). Furthermore, by using pair sample ttest(SPSS 22), the result showed the significant value was less than 0.005 (0.000<0.005).It means,the use of quantum teaching is effective on students’ mathematical problem solving ability at the second Patayat Pondok Pesantren Musthafawiyah Purba Baru

Abstract

The aim of this study was to know whether using course review learning model was effective on students’ mathematical problem solving ability on the topic of twovariables linear equation system at the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan. The research was conducted by applying experimental method (one group pretest post test design) with 28 students as the sample and they were taken by using cluster random sampling technique from 259 students. Observation and test were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analysis, it was found: (a) the average of using course review learning model was 3.8 (very good category) and (b) students’ mathematical problem solving ability on the topic twovariables linear equation system before using course review learning model was 55.64 (fair category) and after using course review learning model was 81.00 (very good category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using pair sample ttest, (SPSS version 17),the result showed the significant value was less than 0.05 (0.049 < 0.05). It means,course review learning model was effective used on students’mathematical problem solving ability on the topic twovariables linear equation system at the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ mathematical problem solving ability through using instruction based problem model on the topic of the Pythagorean theorem at the eighth grade students of SMP swasta Tapian Nauli. The research was conducted by applying Class Action Research (CAR) with 25 students as the subject. Instrument of the research was test, questionnaire, and observation. The research consists of two cycles. The first cycle showed (a) the test showed the students’ achievement of the Pythagorean theorem was 75.9, (b) observation sheet showed the average of students’ activities was 58.13, and (c) the observation of class teacher showed the ability of researcher in using instruction based problem model was 100.Furthermore, the second cycle showed (a) the test showed the students’ achievement of the Pythagorean theorem was 84.60, (b) observation sheet showed the average of students’ activities was 80.27, and (c) the observation of class teacher showed the ability of researcher in using instruction based problem model was 100. It’s concluded that instruction based problem model was able to improve students’ mathematical problem solving ability through using instruction based problem model on the topic of the Pythagorean theorem at the eighth grade students of SMP swasta Tapian Nauli.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to know whether effective using VAK learning model on students’ mathematical problem solving ability on the topic of sequence and series at the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Sibabangun. The research was conducted by applying experimental method (one group pretest post test design) with 34 students as the sample and they were taken by using cluster random sampling technique from 198 students. Observation and test were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analysis, it was found: (a) the average of using VAK learning model was 3.8 (very good category) and (b) the students’ mathematical problem solving ability on the topic of sequence and series before using VAK learning model was 52.5 (fair category) and after using VAK learning model was 84.11 (very good category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using pair sample ttest, (SPSS version 22), the result showed the significant value was less than 0.05 (0.000<0.05) and by using N- gain formulation showed 0.67 (effective category). It means, using VAK learning model was effective used on students’ mathematical problem solving ability on the topic of sequence and series at the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Sibabangun.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ mathematical problem solving ability through realistic mathematic learning approach on the topic of the theorem of Phytagoras at the eighth grade students. The research was conducted by applying Class Action Research (CAR) with 25 students as the subject. Instrument of the research was test and observation. The research consists of two cycles. The first cycle showed (a) the test showed the students’ achievement of the theorem of Phytagoras was 47.02 (enough category) and (b) the questionnaire showed the average of students’ activities was 89.29 (high category). Furthermore, the second cycle showed (a) the test showed the students’ achievement of the theorem of Phytagoras 85.48 (very good category) and (b) the questionnaire showed the average of students’ activities was 96.42 (very high category). It’s concluded realistic mathematic learning approach was able to improve students’ mathematic mathematical problem solving ability through realistic mathematic learning approach on the topic of the theorem of Phytagoras at the eighth grade students.
