Abstract

Learning mathematics should be able to improve the abilityand creativity in learning mathematics, especially in solving mathematical problems. To improve theability of anappropriate learning need sand learning mathematical problem submissionis in accordance with the needs of students in facilitating the completion of (solution) of the mathematical problem significantly. To obtain data submission capability math problem students, the research for mulated the problemas follows: (a) How does the ability filing math problems before and after the learning seen from the stage before and during problem solving?,(b) How is the level of complexity of the questions asked of students according to the structure of language and mathematical relationships?, (c) how associations filing capability math problems with the ability of the settlement (solving) the mathematical problem?.To answer this problem conducted experimental research on mathematics semester students majoringin STKIP "Tapanuli Selatan" Padangsidimpuan. Results showed that (a) the ability of the student submission mathematical problemsseen from the stage before and during the settlement of problems inproblem-based learningis quite good, as shown by the large percentage of math questions that can be solved either with new information and without any new information. (b) Differences filing capabilities grade math problems and problem-based learning class conventional learningis significant. (c) the ability filing math problems with the ability of the settlement (solving) the strong association of students of mathematics problems.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to know whether there is the effectiveness of using Reciprocal Teaching learning model on students’ mathematical communication ability on the topic solid figure at the eighth grade students of MTs. Al-Mukhtariyah Sunagi Dua Portibi. The research was conducted by applying experimental method (one group pretest post test design) with 30 students as the sample and they were taken by using simple random sampling technique from 130 students. Observation and test were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analysis, it could be found (a) the average of using reciprocal teaching learning model was 3.00 (good category) and (b) the average of students’ solid figure achievement before using reciprocal teaching learning model was 52.38 (fair category) and after using reciprocal teaching learning model was 83.33 (very good category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using pair sample ttest (SPSS 22), the result showed significant value was less than 0.05(0.000<0.05). It means reciprocal teaching learning model was effective used on students’ mathematical communication ability on the topic solid figure at the eighth grade students of MTs. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to know whether there is a significant influence of using problem based learning (PBL) model reviewed from students’ mathematical reasoning ability on the topic of two-variable linear equation system at the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 1Batang Angkola. The research was conducted by applying experimental method (one group pretest post test design) with 30 students as the sample and they were taken by using simple random sampling technique from 130 students. Observation and test were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analysis, it could be found (a) the average of using PBL model was 2.90 (good category) and (b) the average of students’ two-variable linear equation system achievement before using PBL model was 53,02 (fair category) and after using PBL model was 87.51 (very good category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using pair sample ttest (SPSS 22), the result showed significant value was less than 0.05(0.000<0.05). It means there is a significant influence of using PBL model reviewed from students’ mathematical reasoning ability on the topic of two-variable linear equation system at the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 1Batang Angkola. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan penggunaan model pembelajaran time token terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dengan topik sistem persamaan linear dua variabel pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Padangsidimpuan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menerapkan metode eksperimental (one group pretest post test design) dengan 27 siswa sebagai sampel dan mereka diambi ldengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling dari 169 siswa. Observasi dan tes digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data. Berdasarkan analisis deskriptif, ditemukan: (a) rata-rata menggunakan model pembelajaran time token adalah 2,87 (kategori baik) dan (b) kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dengan topic sistem persamaan linear dua variabel sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran time token adalah 52.48 (kategori sedang) dan setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran time token adalah 81,25 (kategori sangat baik). Selanjutnya, berdasarkan statistic inferensial dengan menggunakan pair sample ttest, (SPSS versi 22) dan formulasi N-gain, hasilnya menunjukkan nilai signifikan kurang dari 0,05 (0.000 <0.05) dan g = 0.75 (tinggi). Artinya, menggunakan model pembelajaran time token sangat efektif digunakan pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dengan topik sistem persamaan linier dua variabel pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Padangsidimpuan.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to know whether using discovery learning model was effective on students’ mathematical problem solving ability on the topic of beam at the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan. The research was conducted by applying experimental method (one group pretest post test design) with 27 students as the sample and they were taken by using simple random sampling technique from 258 students. Observation and test were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analysis, it was found: (a) the average of using discovery learning model was 3.84 (very good category) and (b) the average of students’ mathematical problem solving ability on the topic beam before using discovery learning model was 63.33 (enough category) and after using discovery learning model was 83.67 ( very good category).Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using pair sample ttest, (SPSS version 17), the result showed the significant value was less than 0.05 (0.000<0.05). It means, discovery learning model was effective used on students’ mathematical problem solving ability on the topic beam at the eighth grade students of SP Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah menggunakan model pembelajaran GI efektif pada kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa pada topik kubus pada siswa kelas delapan SMP Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menerapkan metode eksperimen (one group pretest post test design) dengan 28 siswa sebagai sampel dan diambil dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling dari 259 siswa. Observasi dan tes digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data. Berdasarkan analisis deskriptif, ditemukan: (a) rata-rata menggunakan model pembelajaran GI adalah 3,18 (kategori sangat baik) dan (b) rata-rata kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa pada topik kubus sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran GI adalah 62,38. (kategori cukup) dan setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran GI adalah 81,07 (kategori sangat baik). Selanjutnya,tes, (SPSS versi 22), hasilnya menunjukkan nilai signifikan kurang dari 0,05 (0,000 <0,05). Artinya, menggunakan model pembelajaran GI efektif digunakan pada kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa pada topik kubus pada siswa kelas delapan SMP Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe the effectiveness of using problem posing learning model on students’ mathematical problem solving ability on the topic of angle size (degrees and radians) at the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Angkola Barat. The research was conducted by applying experimental method (one group pretest post test design) with 23 students as the sample and they were taken by using cluster random sampling technique from 214 students. Observation and test were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analysis, it was found: (a) the average of using problem posing learning model was 3.66 (very good category) and (b) the average of students’ angle size achievement before using problem posing learning model was 64.34 (enough category) and after using problem posing learning model was 92.91 ( very good category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using pair sample ttest, (SPSS version 16), the result showed the significant value was less than 0.05 (0.000<0.05). It means, problem posing learning model was effective on students’ mathematical problem solving ability on the topic of angle size (degrees and radians) at the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Angkola Barat.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan keefektifan penggunaan model Connected Mathematic Project terhadap kemampuanmasalah masalah matematis siswa di SMK Negeri 1 Lumut pada materi Trigonometri. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen (one group pretest-postest design) dengan jumlah populasi seluruh kelas X yang dapat 14 kelas dengan total 455 siswa dan diambil sampelnya dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling kelas X TBSM-2 dengan jumlah 32 siswa. Teknik data terhadap penelitian ini menggunakan observasi dan tes. Berdasarkan analisis deskriptif ditemukan: (a) Nilai rata-rata menggunakan model Connected Mathematic Project adalah 3,82 (kategori sangat baik) dan (b) Nilai rata-rata kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah matematis siswa sebelum menggunakan model Connected Mathematic Project adalah 52,20(kategori gagal) setelah menggunakan model Connected Mathematic Project, nilai rata-rata mencapai 83,67 (kategori sangat baik). Formulasi hasil N-Gain menunjukkan G = 0,67 (kategori sedang), artinya model Connected Mathematic Project efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan masalah matematis siswa di kelas X SMK Negeri 1 Lumut.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the linkages between students ' mathematics learning readiness and students' mathematics communication ability during the Covid -19 pandemic at SMP Negeri 1 Sosorgadong. The approach of the research applied qualitative descriptive. Questionnaire, test, and interview were used in collecting the data. The technique of data analysis used triangulation. The source of the data is 10 students and 3 students is the subject of the research. The result of the research shows the students' physical condition is good in teaching learning, the average of students’ learning readiness is 69.2 (enough category), and the average of students' mathematics communication ability is 66.33 ( enough category). The linkages between students ' mathematics learning readiness and students' mathematics communication ability during the Covid -19 pandemic at SMP Negeri 1 Sosorgadong includes students who has high mathematics learning readiness has high mathematics communication skills, students who has enough mathematics learning readiness has medium mathematics communication skills, and students who has low mathematics learning readiness has low mathematics communication skills.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the impact of applying google classroom toward teachers and students SMK Negeri 1 Marancar online learning in pandemic period. The approach of the research used qualitative descriptive and triangulation was applied on data analysis technique which included interview, documentation, and questionnaire. Data sources were 2 teachers and 10 students. The result of the research shows the impact of online learning is positive impact which includes increase students and teachers ability of using ICT, shorter study time, learning can be done anywhere, and availability of adequate file storage space, and minimize of using paper. Furthermore, negative impact includes difficult to apply the right learning methods and media, learning materials are only in the form of documents, network interference, additional costs for buying internet quota, unfavorable class atmosphere, students become lazy to study, low student manners, teachers and students have to have adequate smartphone.
