Abstract

Margamulya is one of the villages in the Merauke Regency, which is inhabited by many transmigrant farmers from the Javanese ethnic. They introduce rice farming to local residents in Merauke Regency. The purpose of this research is to figure out the received income, output cost, profitability, and feasibility of rice farming in Margamulya Village, Semangga District, Merauke Regency, Papua. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained from questionnaires and interviews, while the secondary data was obtained from Central Bureau Statistics of Merauke Regency. The results showed rice farming in Margamulya Village, Semangga District, Merauke Regency is feasible to develop with the received profit is IDR.9,864,480, the total cost is IDR.12,176,495, the profitability of 0.81, and R/C value of 1.81.

Abstract

The cultivation of consumption mushrooms in Indonesia is showing an encouraging development. Currently, Indonesia is included as one of the world's major mushroom suppliers. Mushrooms are a source of vegetable protein that does not contain cholesterol and can prevent high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, and can reduce body weight. The research objective was to determine the effect of composting time on planting media on the growth and yield of white oyster mushrooms. The research was conducted in the Mapin Kebak Village, sub-district Alas Barat star from May to June 2020. The research was conducted using an experimental method and using a completely randomized design consisting of 5 treatments, where each treatment consisted of three replications. The research treatments consisted of M1 = composting for 6 hours; M2 = composting for 12 hours; M3 = composting for 24 hours; M4 = composting for 36 hours and M5 = composting for 48 hours. Furthermore, the data from the observations were analyzed by ANOVA at the real level of 5%. If the results of the data analysis show a significant difference, then a further test is carried out using the Least Significant Difference Test at the 5% real level. The results of the analysis showed that the fastest time to spread mycelium was in the M5 treatment, the composting time was 48 hours. The fastest primordia emergence time was 24 hours composting M3 treatment. The heaviest fruit weight was in treatment M3 and the lowest fruit weight was in treatment M1.

Abstract

Porang plant is a non-wood forest products (NTFPs) in the form of tuber producing starch that has many uses. In Batu Lanteh District, Sumbawa Besar NTB porang plant  grow at privately owned forests and state forest , but so far has not been well developed. Therefore, this study was done in order to get information about internal and external factors that affecting porang plant development and to get development strategy of porang plant.This study was conducted in the village of Batu Rotok, Batu Lanteh District, Sumbawa Besar NTB. This location was chosen because of some factors such as many porang farmers, appropriate land for planting porang, and many farmers who cultivate porang. This study aims to identify the internal and external factors in cultivating porang plant as an effort to improve the income of the society in Bato Rotok Village. The sample is taken through Purposive sampling.  Purposive sampling is the character of the sample members taken from a deep consideration which is considered or believed by the researcher to represent the character of the population. The sample of this study is 19 samples namely  13 farmers, 2 porang sellers , 1 sample from KPH Batu Lanteh, 3 samples from government related agency. Analisis SWOT is used to analyze the data in this study. There are some internal and external strategies to develop porang cultivation as a way to increase income of the society in Batu Rotok village, Batu Lanteh district  namely: 1.  Internal factors; Strengths: Porang can grow under the shade, it has suitable natural condition, it is easy to cultivate, it doesn’t need intensive maintenance, it is planted once, it contains nutrience especially carbohydrate. Weaknesses: Porang’ initial growth need time, it is not widely known and used by the society, Public knowledge of porang is still limited, and Porang plants cannot be directly consumed. 2. External Factors; Opportunities: porang has high selling value, Export needs of porang are still high, the society has wide land to plant porang, and policy support from the government. Threats: The number of entrepreneurs is still limited, the prices are unstable, Lack of socialization of counseling and assistance, Market information is still difficult (tends to be closed). According to the SWOT matrix, it can be concluded that  developing of Porang plants in the village of Batu Rotok, Batu Lanteh District has the best alternative strategies through the strategy of SO, this strategy uses the strengths to utilize the opportunities. so that, porang farmers can develop porang plant in Batu Rotok village therefore they can get an optimal income.  With alternative strategies as follows: 1). Utilizing suitable natural conditions and easy cultivation process in order to meet export needs which are still high. 2). many benefits and nutritional content of porang plants, if it is followed by the right processing process, it will increase the selling value of porang and it can be used as an alternative food. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the economic impact on the welfare of the community around the Whale Shark area in the village of Labuhan Jambu. The current condition of the movement of the tourism industry in Labuhan Jambu Village is still not optimal. In addition to weak promotion, there are limited tourism support facilities and limited quality of human resources in managing tourism. The research method uses a quantitative descriptive approach. Source of data consists of secondary data and primary data. Data collection techniques are questionnaires, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study uses structural equation modeling analysis. The results of the study indicate that there is no direct influence felt by the community as a whole from the existence of Whale Shark ecotourism on the community's economy and the welfare of the surrounding community. The direct influence is only felt by chart owners and operators of Whale Shark ecotourism, that chart owners and operators who deal directly with tourists who visit Whale Shark tours in the village of Labuhan Jambu. For tourists who rarely go ashore, the route used is the sea route. The tourists only stop for 1 to 2 hours to see the Whale Shark ecotourism, after which the tourists go straight to the next tourist spot, namely Komodo Island. This makes the community, especially business actors, not get a significant impact from Whale Shark ecotourism.

Abstract

This distribution chain of Sumbawa forest honey has several problems such as the long-distance of the forest from settlements, the fluctuated price of forest honey, which is depended on the quality and the distance to get the honey. The next problem is the high shipping cost to customers, and the packaging must be hygienic and safe. Sumbawa forest honey delivery to consumers must be in good. The purpose of this study is to analyze the marketing chain of Sumbawa forest honey in Sumbawa District, West Nusa Tenggara Indonesia. The method of determining location is done by purposive sampling, considering Sumbawa district is the center of Sumbawa forest honey. Respondent's sample determination was done by snowball sampling. The study was conducted by surveying the field by using a questionnaire with relevant institutions and carrying out documentation. The results showed that there were three types of distribution channels from Sumbawa forest honey. The first distribution channel is the honey hunter – the consumer. The second distribution channel is the honey hunter–honey enterprises-consumer. The third distribution chain is the honey hunter–honey enterprises–supermarket –the consumer. The price of honey received by consumers is not the same, depending on the length of the marketing chain. The marketing margin of the first distribution channel was Rp. 0,00. The second distribution were Rp. 60,000.00 and the third distribution were Rp. 50,000.00. Keywords: marketing, distribution chain, Sumbawa forest honey

Abstract

Marketing strategy is needed in developing original products. Sumbawa forest honey is an original product from West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. The problems marketing are fluctuating price and the availability of other honey product as competitors. The purpose of this research was to identify the top priorities strategy marketing of this honey. The data analysis  using A’WOT. It’s combination of SWOT and AHP analysis. SWOT analysis was employed to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in marketing of Sumbawa forest honey. AHP (Analitycal Hierarchy Process) analysis was performed to determine priority on alternative of marketing strategy of Sumbawa forest honey. The finding of this research showed that SO strategy was the top priority strategies in marketing of Sumbawa forest honey with value 0.580. The top three priorities on alternative of strategies are packaging the Sumbawa forest honey hygienically and attractively (0.343),  maintains the quality and purity of Sumbawa forest honey (0.275), and partnering with financial institutions (0,125).

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the performance of farmer groups in increasing corn production in dry land, Labuhan Sangoro Village, Maronge District, Sumbawa Regency. The farmer groups sampled were 6 farmer groups from corn farmer groups in dry land which were determined using purposive sampling, data analysis techniques using a Likert scale with five indicators. The research results show that as many as 3 indicators perform well, namely indicators (1) planning activities, (2) carrying out activities and complying with agreements with other parties, and (3) application of technology and use of information; Meanwhile, 2 indicators performed quite well, namely indicators: (1) capital fertilization and (2) institutional relations between farmer groups and gapoktan. Overall, the performance of farmer groups in Sangoro Village, Maronge District, performed well with an average score of 2.88.

Abstract

Pupuk merupakan sarana produksi yang berperan penting dalam peningkatan produksi dan mutu hasil budidaya tanaman untuk mewujudkan ketahanan pangan. Tujuan penelitian mengkaji tentang pendistribusian pupuk bersubsudi dari distributor sampai ke petani dan memberikan usulan perbaikan terhadap pendistribusian subsidi pupuk pertanian untuk dapat meningkatkan produksi pertanian. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Utan dan Kecamatan Plampang, Kabupaten Sumbawa, Propinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat dari bulan Juli sampai dengan bulan Oktober 2021, dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif menggunakan data primer terdiri dari karakteristik responden dan informasi, dan data sekunder terdiri dari data pendukung yang dikutip dari laporan dan buku statistik instansi terkait, yang dikumpulkan melalui observasi (field Obsevation), wawancara (Interview Method), dan dokumentasi. Metode Penentuan lokasi dan sampel dilakukan secara sengaja dengan metode purposive sampling. Metode Analisis Data Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis SEM (Structural Equation Modeling), dengan menggunakan software WarlpPLS 3.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mekanisme pendistribusian pupuk bersubsidi di Kecamatan Utan dan Plampang sudah sesuai dengan aturan dari permentan & permendag, implementasi pendistribusian pupuk bersubsidi ditinjau dari segi ketepatan tempat, ketepatan jumlah, ketepatan harga, ketepatan jenis, dan ketepatan waktu masih memerlukan perbaikan, pelaksanaan penyaluran secara keseluruhan didapatkan nilai R Square 0,06, yang artinya masih lemah, perlu ditingkatkan lagi kinerjanya.

Abstract

Kehadiran Hiu Paus diwilayah perairan Teluk Saleh dimanfaatkan olehmasyarakat sekitar dan pemerintah untuk menjadi salah satu objek dan destinasiwisata baru saat Festival Sail Moyo Tambora 2018, serta ditetapkan sebagai desawisata melalui Keputusan Gubernur Nusa Tenggara Barat Nomor 050.13-366Tahun 2019tentang Penetapan 99 Lokasi Desa Wisata di Propinsi Nusa TenggaraBarat Tahun 2019-2023. Dispopar Kabupaten Sumbawa (2022) menunjukkanbahwa terdapat kunjungan wisatawan ke kawasan wisata Hiu Paus Labuhan Jambupada tahun 2021 sebanyak 559 orang, yang sebagian besar di dominasi olehwisatawan asing. Sejak adanya aktivitas ekowisata Hiu Paus tahun 2018 hinggasaat ini diduga membawa pengaruh terhadap perubahan kehidupan sosialmasyarakat desa Labuhan Jambu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahuidampak ekowisata Hiu Paus terhadap Perubahan Perilaku Sosial masyarakat desaLabuhan Jambu kecamatan Tarano kabupaten Sumbawa. Penelitian ini dilakukandengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulandata berupa observasi,wawancara,dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa Keberadaan Ekowisata Hiu Paus membawa dampakterhadap perubahan perilaku sosial penggiat wisata ( Tour operator, pemilikbagan, pemilik penginapan/homestay/UMKM) yang berinteraksi secara langsungdengan para wisatawan. Namun secara umum, tidak terlalu berpengaruh padaperubahan sosial (Gaya Hidup, kerjasama, dan tingkat konflik) masyarakat desaLabuhan Jambu.

Abstract

Ketidakseimbangan tingkat kecukupan zat gizi dapat menimbulkan stunting.Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian makanantambahan dan praktek hidup bersih terhadap kejadian stunting di KabupatenSumbawa. Penelitian dilaksanakan di beberapa wilayah lokus stunting diKabupaten Sumbawa, yaitu Desa Motong Kecamatan Utan, Desa Rhee LokaKecamatan Rhee, Kelurahan Uma Sima Kecamatan Sumbawa, Desa LabuhanKuris dan Desa Dete Kecamatan Lape, pada bulan Agustus-Oktober 2023,menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif (mix methode). Data yangdigunakan dalam penelitian yaitu data primer dan data sekunder,dikumpulkandengan cara observasi,wawancara,kuisioner, dan dokumentasi. Data Analisisdengan metode kuantitatif menggunakan analisis statistik regresi linier bergandadan kualitatif menggunakan Milles Hubberman. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkanpraktek pemberian makanan dan praktek hidup bersih memiliki pengaruhterhadap kejadian stunting. Pemberian makanan dengan gizi seimbangmerupakan variabel yang mempengaruhi praktek pemberian makanan tambahanterhadap kejadian stunting, sedangkan bahaya merokok didekat bayi merupakanvariabel yang berpengaruh pada praktek hidup bersih.
