Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the potential for cattle business development in Indramayu Regency. The research locations selected using purposive sampling method were based on the following criteria: (1) Indramayu Regency is the 2nd largest rice producers in the Province of West Java, (2) The area covers 2,099.42 km2 based on secondary data obtained from BPS Indramayu Regency in numbers and (3) The area of agricultural land is still larger than the area of resident housing. The data analysis method used the carrying capacity index (IDD) and Location Question (LQ) analysis formulas. The data were processed and explained descriptively. The results of this study resulted in carrying capacity values consisting of 3 patterns, namely the highest carrying capacity value > 20,000 AU (Gantar and Terisi). Medium carrying capacity value > 10,000 AU (Cikedung and Gabuswetan). Low value carrying capacity 5.000-10.000 AU (Haurgelis, Suyeg, Juntiyuat, Bongdua, Kertasemaya, Patrol, Kedokanbunder and Sindang). The results of the analysis of IDD > 2 there are 12 sub-districts, meaning that based on the availability of forage feed from agricultural land, it is included in the safe category to increase the population of beef cattle. The potential for beef cattle development in Indramayu Regency needs to be prioritized in 12 sub-districts with LQ > 1 and IDD > 2 accompanied by government policies to support investment in livestock marketing facilities and infrastructure for smallholders.

Abstract

Helminthiasis  adalah  penyakit  pada  sapi  potong  yang  biasa  terjadi  di  peternakantradisional. Upaya pencegahan preventif terhadap helminthiasis perlu dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kesehatan sapi potong sehingga pertambahan bobot badannya akan lebih cepat dan keuntungan ekonomi juga bisa meningkat. Salah satu cara pencegahan preventif adalah dengan pemberian obat cacing herbal. Penelitian dilakukan pada   Peternakan Rakyat di desa Dukuhbadak, Kecamatan Cibimbing, Kabupaten Kuningan, Propinsi Jawa Barat. Penelitian obat cacing herbal  telah dilakukan dengan menggunakan kombinasi temu mangga 20%, kunyit 20%, temu lawak 20% dan kakys fruity enzym 40%, dinamakan organic supplement energizer (O SE). Komposisi ini mengandung minyak atsiri, tanin, amilum, fruktosa, flavonoid, vitamin C, Fe, Cu dan Phosphor, yang berkhasiat antibakteri, antidota, analgetik, antipiretik dan pengurang gas asam  lambung.  Hasil penelitian  menunjukkan bahwa  sapi  yang diberi OSE  sebesar  60  ml ternyata dari uji laboratorium identifikasi telur cacing yang ada menunjukkan jumlah  telur cacingnya menurun. Identifikasi telur cacing menggunakan metode McMaster. Efektifitas penurunannya sampai 73%, dari 220 telur menjadi 60 telur endoparasit, sehingga rekomendasi yang   diberikan   adalah   pemberian   obat   cacing   herbal   secara   teratur   dapat   digunakan peningkatan produksi ternak sapi potong.Kata kunci:  mangga, kunyit, temu lawak dan kaky fruit enzym.

Abstract

Kelompok Tani Ternak Haur Kuning berada di desa Ciawigajah Kabupaten Cirebon.  Kelompok ini tata laksana pemeliharaannya secara intensif dengan skala usaha bervariasi dan tradisional. Tujuan penelitian ini (1) untuk mengetahui aspek sosial ekonomi usaha ternak domba di Kabupaten Cirebon. (2) untuk mengetahui faktor harga jual, jumlah ternak yang dijual dan biaya pakan yang mempengaruhi besarnya pendapatan. Metode penentuan lokasi dengan purposive sampling. Data primer diperoleh dari hasil wawancara dengan kelompok, data sekunder berasal dari Dinas Pertanian Kabupaten Cirebon dan literatur (jurnal penelitian, buku, dan artikel ilmiah). Data yang terkumpul, dianalisis mengunakan tabulasi kemudian dihitung menggunakan rumus pendapatan, analisis R/C ratio dan regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aspek sosial : (1) responden berpendapat bahwa memelihara ternak domba sebagai tabungan dan pengisi waktu luang peternak selama menunggu masa panen tiba, (2) mayoritas responden pekerja utama sebagai petani sehingga dapat memanfaatkan sisa hasil pertanian untuk ketersediaan pakan ternak. Dari aspek ekonomi ini pendapatan terendah sebesar Rp 393.500 dan tertinggi Rp 10.418.500, dan analisis R/C ratio terendah 1,20 dan tertinggi 6,26. (3) Persamaan analisis regresi Y = -5885724.523+ 2.975590988 X1 + 1533743.934 X2 – 1.050714511 X3; R2  = 0.9982, Fhitung(1349.09691405135) dengan Significance F (4.97589571307792E-10) artinya harga jual ternak, jumlah ternak yang dijual dan biaya pakan akan mempengaruhi terhadap besarnya pendapatan usaha ternak domba.Kelompok Tani Ternak Haur Kuning berada di desa Ciawigajah Kabupaten Cirebon.  Kelompok ini tata laksana pemeliharaannya secara intensif dengan skala usaha bervariasi dan tradisional. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out what alternative strategies are needed in the development of sheep business that are suitable to be applied in Cirebon Regency, which are expected to have implications for increasing sheep productivity and welfare of farmers. The location of the study was carried out in Cirebon Regency, from March to August 2018. The research method was a survey method to collect primary data from respondents and secondary data. The study sample was determined randomly as many as 43 farmers from three PUSKESWAN regions in Cirebon Regency. Data analysis uses internal environment analysis, external environment analysis, and SWOT analysis. The results of the SWOT matrix analysis are in quadrant II where this stage can grow and be fostered. This business can experience good growth if 1) strengthen the function and role of the group, 2) sheep breeders get continuous guidance and guidance both about the technical, introduction of appropriate technology and marketing from Government Agencies, especially the Agriculture and Livestock Services, Universities and private parties.

Abstract

Community service activities in the form of training and assistance in increasing awareness of the importance of feed management through extension activities (2) activities, namely: 1. Socialization, 2. Training and Mentoring. This training and mentoring aims to increase knowledge and skills to farmers in Dukuhbadag Village, Cibingbin Regency Kuningan District. The addition of knowledge and skills in Feed Processing Technology is expected to increase livestock production. The targets in this PPM activity are farmers in the village of Dukuhbadag, Cibingbin Regency Kuningan District. The method of activity in this service program consists of 2 activities: training and mentoring. 1) dissemination activities in the form of small-scale material and practices to farmers, 2) training and mentoring namely activities carried out after the training activities were carried out by conducting initial surveys, interviews and large-scale practices involving farmers. The results of this study with a positive response by supporting our activities are providing the availability of counseling places, participants' enthusiasm, the support of the Village Head of Dukuhbadag, government officials, farmer groups and each member of the PPM. The obstacles faced are limited time, place and budget so that this activity has not 100% stimulated farmers to implement this appropriate technology. The benefits that can be obtained by participants in the PPM activity include additional knowledge about Feed Management in the Dukuhbadag Village, Cibingbin Regency Kuningan District. Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil tata laksana pemeliharaan peternakan rakyat sapi pasundan, untuk mengetahui sejauh mana karateristik profil peternak sapi pasundan di Desa Dukuhbadag. Penelitian dilakukan dengan cara survei di wilayah sentra sapi pasundan di Desa Dukuhbadag Kecamatan Cibingbin Kabupaten Kuningan. Wawancara dilakukan terhadap 41 responden yang dipilih secara random. Data sekunder berupa karakteristik peternak dan data primer tentang manajemen pakan dan data penunjang yang lain meliputi perkandangan, reproduksi dan kesehatan. Data yang diperoleh dievaluasi dan disajikan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknik pemeliharaan semi intensif, peternak masih menggembalakan ternak di hutan atau padang gembalaan. Sebagian besar peternak memberikan pakan hijauan tanpa ada pakan tambahan. Tata laksana pemberian pakan baik pada musim kemarau maupun musim penghujan tidak berbeda, yaitu dengan menggunakan pakan yang sama. Disimpulkan bahwa di desa Dukuhbadag Kecamatan Cibingbin Kabupaten Kuningan teknik pemeliharaan semi intensif, untuk ketersedian pakan peternak sebagian besar hanya hijauan saja untuk itulah perlu diberikan teknologi sederhana tepat guna untuk ketersedian pakan yang berkualitas.Kata Kunci: sapi pasundan, tata laksana pemeliharaan, peternak.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPemeliharaan sapi secara tradisional merupakan sistem yang dilaksanakan oleh sebagian besar Peternak di Indonesia. Managemen perkandangan merupakan salah satu faktor produksi yang belum mendapat perhatian dalam usaha peternakan sapi potong khususnya peternakan rakyat. Oleh sebab itulah penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi dari peternak tentang manajemen perkandangan dan usaha kesehatan hewan. Metode penentuan lokasi purposive sampling. Pengolahan data secara metode deskriptif, Pengambilan data dengan Wawancara dan Survey. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kondsi kandang sapi belum memenuhi standart kandang yang baik, ditambah lagi belum ada sanitasi kandang sehingga menyebabkan kondisi kandang menjadi lembab dan becek. Limbah yang menumpuk tersebut bisa menjadi penyakit bagi sapi dan lingkungan sekitar. Inilah beberapa faktor yang menyebabkan rendahnya produktivitas usaha ternak sapi potong.Key Words:   Sapi, Management perkandangan dan kesehatan

Abstract

This research was aimed to find how many profitability with sales volume, active and investment make in ratio-ratio profitability for 3 years. This research was conducted from april month 2005 in layer farm “PT Suni Tama Perdana” Kertosari vilage, Singorojo District Kendal Regency. The research used study case method and samples were taken by purposive  sampling. The data obtained were analysed ratio-ratio profitability was “profit margin”, “return on assets” (ROA), “return on equity”(ROE) dan “return on invesment” (ROI).  The results showed that  analysis profitability layer farm  in “PT Suni Tama Perdana” have good work because profit enough and can be back investment to investor.   Key word: layer chicken, cost and ratio-ratio profitability.

Abstract

Mulberry is a traditional Indonesian medicine that is widely used due to the antioxidants found in mulberry leaves. Alkaloids, flavonoids, polyphenols, and terpenoids, which act as antioxidants, are found in mulberry leaves. This community service project aims to raise awareness about the health and economic benefits of mulberry. The method used is counseling and mentoring in January – June 2020. As a result of this program, a mulberry garden has been established in the Griya Caraka residential park, which has numerous advantages. Starting with the mulberry fruit, which can be eaten raw or cooked, and the mulberry leaf, which can be used to make mulberry leaf chips, mulberry leaf tea, and silkworm feed. Furthermore, the public can learn about the health benefits and nutritional value of mulberry plants, as well as process mulberry leaf chips under the Morrus Berry trademark

Abstract

Objective: The research is as follows: (1) The role of the farmer group in its function as a place of learning, a place of production, and a place for cooperation and member business, (2) the empowerment of beef cattle farmers, and (3) the relationship between the role of the group and the empowerment of beef cattle farmers in Cirebon Regency.Methods: I conducted this research from July to August 2021. The research method was survey and field observation—data analysis using SPSS 26 Spearman rank correlation test. The number of respondents using the Snowball sampling formula is 60 respondents from 5 livestock farmer groups in Cirebon Regency.Results: The empowerment of farmers in this study measures two aspects: farmers' ability to maintain and have high-value entrepreneurship. The correlation coefficient of the relationship between the part of the group and the empowerment of beef cattle farmers is 0.674. In conclusion, the relationship is quite strong between the two variables. The role of the group is not optimal either as a place of learning, a place of business, or a place to work together, which requires the involvement of the Cirebon Regency agriculture office, educational institutions, and private institutions to be involved in developing the role of groups in Cirebon Regency.Conclusions: The empowerment of farmers in this study measures aspects, namely, 1) the role of the group is not optimal, while 2) the ability of farmers to maintain entrepreneurship is of high value. The correlation coefficient of the relationship between the role of the group and the empowerment of beef cattle farmers is 0.674. It indicated that the relationship is quite strong between the two variables.
