Abstract

Curriculum 2013 requires teachers to be more creative in compiling teaching materials which are innovative, varied, exciting, contextual, and in accordance with learners’ needs to achieve learning objectives. This research aims at developing IPS materials for VII graders of Junior High School (SMP) based on ethnophotography. This study used Research and Development design (R & D). The results were analyzed by qualitative analysis technique. The results show that most social studies (IPS) teachers have not yet developed the IPS materials for VII graders of SMP which is relevant to the environmental conditions. The ethnophotography was used to determine the development of IPS materials by photographing/taking pictures of each regional potential to be used as supporting material in IPS materials. Through ethnophotography, the students would be more interested and easier to learn the material, and at the same time, they learn a variety of region’s potential. In conclusion, the IPS material based on ethnophotography can be used as one of the ways to develop teaching materials to get more effective and efficient learning because students can easily understand the material through the photographs displayed in the teaching materials because the photographs show a variety of things around it.

Abstract

Schools can take a strategic role in the implementation of anti-corruption education, especially in a culture of anti-corruption behavior among students. This study has the objective to know the anti-corruption education for elementary school students in the Kecamatan Gunungpati. This research was conducted using qualitative methods, descriptive analytical. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documents. Analysis of data using qualitative research phases according to Spradley. While in checking the validity of the data using a data triangulation techniques. The results showed that the implementation of anti-corruption education for elementary school students in the Kecamatan Gunungpati divided into two strategies that are inclusive (inserted in various subjects) and exclusive (extracurricular student). Implementation of anti-corruption education for elementary students in the Kecamatan Gunungpati have not been maximized due to various constraints, such that not all teachers follow the dissemination of anti-corruption education so have limited knowledge about planting and how effective anti-corruption education and efficient for elementary students and the lack of facilities and infrastructure supporters of anti-corruption education for students in elementary school. The impact of the implementation of anti-corruption education for elementary school students is increasing student achievement both in the classroom and outside the classroom, because students are accustomed to being kind, including honest, disciplined, caring, brave, responsible, and so forth. The conclusion is that the implementation of anti-corruption education should be internalized to the students at an early age in order to get used to conduct anti-corruption measures. Required examples from various sides for maximum results.

Abstract

Partisipasi perempuan dalam politik merupakan bentuk emansipasi yang penting bagi perempuan untuk mencapai kesetaraan gender.Dalam penelitian ini, saya mengeksplorasi bagaimana partisipasi perempuan dalam Lembaga Legislatif di Kabupaten Kendal dan bagaimana peran perempuan dalam penentuan kebijakan di Lembaga Legislatif di Kabupaten Kendal. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi perempuan dalam Lembaga Legislatif di Kabupaten Kendal masih sangat rendah, dari 45 orang anggota dewan legislatif, hanya 4 orang saja yang perempuan. Padahal jumlah penduduk perempuan lebih banyak daripada penduduk laki-laki. Rendahnya partisipasi perempuan ini disebabkan karena banyaknya kendala yang menghambat perempuan untuk maju berpartisipasi dalam lembaga legislatif, diantaranya kendala psikologis, ekonomi, politik, dan sosial budaya. Yang sedikit inipun tidak memiliki kompetensi yang baik untuk memperjuangkan keadilan jender dalam kebijakan. Akibatnya, banyak kebijakan publik yang belum berperspektif gender.Women’s participation in politics is a important emancipation strategy of women in achieving gender equality. In this article, I seek to discuss the participation of women in the parliamentary body in the district of Kendal and women’s role in determining policy in the district. Method used in this research is observation and interview. Research result shows that women’s participation in Kendal is still low; of the 45 legislative council members, only 4 are women, though the population of women outnumbers male population. The low participation of women roots from many barriers, such as psychological, economic, political, social and cultural barriers. This limited number also does not have enough competence  to pass gender equality policies in the parliament. The consequence of low participation of women is the lack of gender perspective in the policy made by the legislative body.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide a broader and deeper view of the readiness of family businesses in the face of the era of digital disruption 4.0. The sample used in this study was 93 family business units, with the method of Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) assisted by SMART-PLS. Based on the results of the hypothesis proposed that directly entrepreneurial and managerial competencies in the family business have a positive and significant effect on industry 4.0 readiness. Competence, especially in the implementation of managerial competencies for business owners. The managerial competency indicators is known as professional, social and personal. Indirectly, family businesses can implement business strategies that are by the characteristics of their business so they can adapt to rapidly changing conditions.Implementation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is considered to be crucial in facing the Industry 4.0.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengimplementasikan model pengelolaankurikulum pendidikan karakter integratif di Universitas PGRI Semarang. Penelitian inimerupakan penelitian tahun kedua dari penelitian yang berjudul “Pengembangan ModelPengelolaan Kurikulum Pendidikan Karakter Integratif di Universitas PGRI Semarang”.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Subyek penelitian terdiri dari KepalaProgram Studi, Sekretaris Program Studi, Dosen, Mahasiswa dilingkungan FPIPSKR. Teknikpengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumen. Teknik validitas datamenggunakan triangulasi data. Teknik analisis data menggunakan nvivo. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa implementasi model pengelolaan kurikulum pendidikan karakterintegratif di Universitas PGRI Semarang sudah dilakukan sesuai ketentuan tetapi hasilnyabelum maksimal. Hal ini disebabkan oleh beberapa hal, diantaranya adalah tidak semua pihakmempunyai komitmen yang tinggi dalam mengimplementasikan pendidikan karakter, baikpihak program studi, dosen dan mahasiswa dan keterbatasan sarana prasarana pendukungpendidikan karakter.Kata Kunci: Implementasi, Model, Pengelolaan, Kurikulum, Pendidikan KarakterIntegratif

Abstract

IbM strengthening the role of the family in shaping the personality of children through seminars and mentoring family problems done in the Village Rejosari Eastern District of Semarang Semarang City. The goal is to equip every individual in the community to understand the role of each in family life and society in order to create a harmonious life. The method used is to provide education in the form of seminars and mentoring the problems faced by the family. Participants are Rejosari village community includes parents, teens, men and women. The seminar took place on February 23, 2014, while assisting held in March 2014 in a week. Based on the results of quality improvement activities seemed relationships between family members with completion problems during mentoring activities.Keywords: Role of Family, Child Personality Formation, Family Issues

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat program Ipteks bagi Masyarakat perajin batik Kendal ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pelatihan dan pendampingan. Kegiatan ini memberikan pengembangan kreatifitas motif batik Kendal dan pelatihan dan pendampingan teknik pewarnaan batik. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode pemberdayaan melalui ceramah, tanya jawab, dan praktik. Untuk mengetahui sejauh mana efektifitas dan efesiensi kegiatan ini dilakukan evaluasi. Peserta mengikuti setiap tahapan kegiatan dengan antusias. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatnya pengetahuan dan ketrampilan perajin batik mengenai pengembangan kreatifitas design motif batik berbasis lingkungan sekitar dan teknik pewarnaan berbasis lingkungan sekitar. Kata kunci: Batik Kendal, Kualitas, Product

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of humanistic learning theory through differentiation learning in elementary schools. The method used in this study is the literature review method where the data comes from various sources of articles in electronic journals. The data collection technique used in this research is documentation. Furthermore, the data analysis technique used in this research is content analysis. The results of this study attempt to illustrate that differentiated learning is learning designed by the teacher to facilitate students in building their knowledge in the process of changing behavior that embodies the diversity of characteristics, interests, motivations of students. Humanistic learning theory is a theory that helps students to enjoy learning about subject matter. Humanistic learning theory can be used to implement differentiated learning in elementary schools.
