Abstract

The registers of builders in the Javanese speaking community show unique data. It is important to describe the purpose, the characteristics of the formation, and the social context that influence speech to show the complexity of registers that appear in the language community of builders. In order to achieve these objectives, a descriptive qualitative analysis was performed on conversations among builders using a phenomenological approach in a sociolinguistic perspective. Data were taken from conversations between builders, builders with the foreman, and clients with builders. Data were obtained from social media conversations in private groups through passive observer. The data were validated through triangulation method. Based on the results of the interactive analysis, it was found that (1) the purpose of using registers was to make the conversation effective so they were easily accepted and to show the identity of community members, (2) registers of construction community members in Javanese-speaking societies used nominal markers, numerals, adjectives, and verbs, (3) the socio-cultural context built in the conversation between builders was shown from the speaker's needs and speech responses. The speech produced by members of the building community speaking in Javanese society included idealism, norms, rules, and behavior as habits in the community. Sociolinguistics, as a branch of linguistics that studies the interplay between language behavior and social behavior, showed that the builder community used language in socializing to convey and express their field of work and to get acquinted with new members of the community with a special language. Based on the results of data triangulation, it showed that the tendency of Javanese speakers in the construction community did not understand interpersonal relationships and privacy in conversation.

This research used mix method to answer the research questions and a quantitative approach to measure students' understanding of the rubric. Basic competence was assessed using the rubric and mapped students' competencies in designing the rubric. The qualitative rubric was used to describe students' difficulties in applying the rubrics produced in the learning process at school. The population of this study was 250 students of Indonesian Language Education in Central Java selected using a random sampling technique. The study shows that (1) students' knowledge of the components presented in the language skill assessment rubric is still low: most students know that the assessment rubric can be done analytically and holistically, but they cannot explain the differences and how to design the language skill assessment rubric. (2) The rubric produced by students in assessing reading and writing skills is good enough and relevant to be applied in the school: 76% for reading skills and 83% for writing skills. (3) The rubric produced in assessing speaking and writing skills is less optimal and not relevant enough: 78% of students are unable to make good rubrics for listening skills, and 49% are unable to make a rubric for speaking skills.

Abstract

A harmonious family greatly influences a child in carrying out his development both physically and psychologically. However, not all children are born and live in a complete family environment, many children also live and are born from broken homes. This of course has an impact on the lives of broken home children such as lack of affection, not being good at socializing, lack of a support system, and the possibility of experiencing problems in the academics they take. Therefore, a solution is needed for children by applying therapy using musicality media or media results from a combination of therapy by listening to music that forms a person's psyche accompanied by poetry writing activities. The purpose of this study is to explain the optimization of the therapist's musicality media as a self-healing solution for broken home children. This research method uses clinical language therapy with magical musik sung by Indonesian singers. To answer this problem, this study uses a qualitative approach by examining the tone content of Indonesian songs and examining the meaning of the songs. After that, clinical testing and interviews were conducted on children with intact families to include the resulting poems. The interview relates to (1) the use of media used to convey the hearts of children with incomplete families; and (2) the form of interaction produced by children in conveying their feelings in writing or verbally. The results showed that optimizing the use of the therapist's musicality media can be used as a self-healing therapist for children from broken homes because music therapists and writing poetry can influence children to express more emotions so that they can ease the psychological burden.
