Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) cohesive devices in drama script Senja dengan Dua Kelelawar by Kirdjomuljo, and (2) the relevance of cohesive devices on drama script Senja dengan Dua Kelelawar with Indonesian language learning in high school. This research is linguistic qualitative research with content analysis method. The data sources used are documents and informants. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques use scrutinize method and interview method. Data validity is done by theory triangulation and data source triangulation. Data analysis using interactive analysis techniques. The results of the study show: (1) cohesive devices found in drama script Senja dengan Dua Kelelawar covering grammatical cohesion with sub-types (a) pronouns, (b) recovery, and (c) lapse, lexical cohesion with subtitles (a) repetition, (b ) synonym, (c) hyponym, (d) meronym, and (e) collocation, and conjunction with sub-types (a) coordinative conjunctions, and (b) subordinate conjunctions. The most dominant elements are pronouns and conjunctions; (2) cohesion devices in drama scripts Senja dengan Dua Kelelawar have relevance to Indonesian language learning, especially material about the linguistic elements of text in 10th grade, 11th grade, and 12th grade high school.

Abstract

This study aims to describe ability, results percentage, difficulties faced, and how to overcome students' difficulties in writing description compositions seen from the aspects of content, organization, effective sentence mastery, vocabulary, and mechanics in class XI AP1 SMK Batik 2 Surakarta. This study is a descriptive qualitative using a case study approach. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling. The data sources in this study are documents (students’ description composition) and informants (teachers and students). Data collection techniques are carried out by document analysis and in-depth interviews. Data validity is done by data triangulation techniques, theories, and informant reviews. Data analysis techniques use interactive models, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study are as follows. The ability results to be included in the category pretty good with vulnerable grades of 61-75. Furthermore, the results percentage of each aspect included the content aspect of 19%, the organizational aspect of 22%, the effective sentence mastery aspect by 16%, the vocabulary aspect by 24%, and the mechanical aspect by 19%. The influence of the writing description composition ability is caused by the difficulties faced by students in writing, namely: difficult to express ideas, difficult to develop sentences, difficult to determine good and right spelling, and difficult to concentrate. The solutions are: create an outline, look for sources of inspiration, use the enhanced spelling handbook, and more time to study (writing practice).

Abstract

The purpose of this study are to describe and explain: (1) the variety of language errors in complex explanation text of the student work of XI MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 7 Surakarta, (2) the most dominant language errors, (3) causes of error, and (4) teacher's effort to overcome the causes of language error in writing complex explanatory text of students. The results of this study are as follows. First, there are four elements of language errors in complex explanation text of the student work, namely: spelling, diction, sentence, and paragraph. Second, the dominant language errors in the complex explanatory text of the student work are a spelling mistake. Thirdly, language errors that often occur in the complex explanatory text of the student work is caused by several factors, as follows: lack of learning time about spelling due to integrated with existing Indonesian language materials, less thorough in writing, low motivation of students in writing because writing is difficult, as well as student habits of writing without regard to EYD. Fourth, efforts can be made to overcome the causes of language errors in writing complex explanatory texts, among others: increase the spelling time of spelling, increase writing exercises, foster student motivation in writing activities, and increase student mastery of spelling and language rules.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the intrinsic elements of the novel 1) Maryam by Okky Madasari; (2) the author's view of the world; (3) the value of character education in the novel of Maryam; and (4) the relevance of the novel of Maryam as the materials literature in high school. The research of applying qualitative methods with genetic structuralism approach. Data and data sources this research is the archives/documents and informants. Research subject retrieval technique used the purposive sampling. The technique of data collection used the analysis of documents and in-depth interviews. The validity of the data used triangulation theory and sources. Data analysis technique used analysis of the flow. Results of the study are: (1) there is  relationship between substance of the novel of Maryam includes themes, characters and characterization, setting, plot, point of view, and value; (2) the author's world view includes the religious view, humanism, and feminism; (3) the story in the novel of Maryam contains 10 values character education includes religious tolerance, hard working, independent, democratic, curiosity, friendly/communicative, social care, and responsibility; (4) the novel Maryam relevant with learning materials of literature in high school especially in KD (3.8) Interpret the author's view on life in the novel is read and Analyze (3.9) and linguistic content of the novel.

Abstract

This research is to know the values of religious character in the novel Mahamimpi Anak Negeri by Suyatna Pamungkas to build the character of high school students. The goal of this research is the formation of the religious character of high school students through the novel in the novel Mahamimpi Anak Negeri by Suyatna Pamungkas. This research method is descriptive qualitative. The technique of writing this data using content analysis. The results of this study First, the results of the discourse analysis found that describes the education of religious characters in the novel Mahamimmpi Anak Negeri Suyatna Pamungkas. Both discussions about the religious character of high school students through interviews with teachers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan tokoh problematik yang menjadi pusat struktur karya sastra dalam novel Orang-Orang Biasa. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa data tokoh problematik yang berbentuk kutipan dialog, kalimat, dan paragraf dalam novel sebagai pusat struktur. Sumber datanya adalah novel Orang-Orang Biasa karya Andrea Hirata. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi untuk menemukan dan menentukan data yang relevan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis model interaktif yang meliputi tiga komponen, yaitu: (1) reduksi data; (2) penyajian data; dan (3) penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pusat struktur novel tersebut dibangun oleh tokoh Debut Awaludin, Inspektur Abdul Rojali, Dinah, Salud, dan Bastardin. Hubungan antartokoh Debut Awaludin dengan tokoh lain menunjukkan keterjalinan antara peristiwa satu dengan peristiwa lain yang meliputi penindasan terhadap Salud, perjuangan hak pendidikan anak Dinah, kepercayaan terhadap sahabat-sahabatnya (kelompok perampok), pembalasan terbaik, dan moralitas kaum marginal.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the response action in Coklat Kita Humor Sufi entitled "The Wallet’s Health". The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative method with content analysis. The data and data sources are in the form of words, phrases, or sentences found in the talk show video of Coklat Kita Humor Sufi. The data were collected by using the uninvolved conversation observation technique. The test of the validity of the data is using investigator triangulation. The analysis technique with three components, namely reduction, presentation, and data collection. The results of the data analysis found that the response strategies that occurred were (1) criticizing, (2) convincing, (3) sense of wonder, (4) agreeing, (5) clarifying, (6) blaming, (7) explaining, and (8) suggesting. The response strategy is dominated by direct explanation. AbstrakTujuan dari adanya penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan tindak tanggapan dalam program Coklat Kita Humor Sufi yang berjudul “Kesehatan Dompet”. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan analisis isi. Data dan sumber data berupa kata, frasa, atau kalimat yang ditemukan dalam program Coklat Kita Humor Sufi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode simak libat bebas cakap. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi penyidik. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah tiga komponen, yaitu reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan data. Analisis data menghasilkan strategi tindak tanggapan yang terjadi yang berupa (1) mengkritik, (2) meyakinkan, (3) rasa heran, (4) menyetujui, (5) mengklarifikasi, (6) menyalahkan, (7) menjelaskan, dan (8) menyarankan. Strategi tanggapan yang dilakukan didominasi dengan menjelaskan secara langsung.

Abstract

Javanese society was awarded a noble cultural heritage. Every Javanese tradition and literature always contains the teachings of the value of goodness in it, including Serat Wedhatama pupuh Gambuh by KGPAA Mangkunegara IV. Serat Wedhatama pupuh Gambuh contains the value of Islamic religiosity, which is very important to be studied considering the occurrence of moral degradation among generations of the nation. Weak religious values are one of the factors in this moral degradation. So that this study is important to do with the hope that it can contribute to the cultivation of religious and cultural values to the nation's generation. The results of this study indicate that there is a value of Islamic religiosity in Serat Wedhatama pupuh Gambuh. These values can be used as parameters and guidelines for life. This study can also be used as a solution to answer the condition of the people who are in the midst of deculturation and dereligiosity.

Abstract

Writing is one of the four aspects of language skills. Writing is a form of indirect communication that expresses the author's intentions. In writing a drama script, there are 3 essential things that must be mastered. The advantages of writing scripts for children are not as real as the real conditions in the field. At least students write children's scripts, and it's not because they don't like children's scripts. But because they do not understand who the child is and how. To overcome this, the authors apply the IDCD strategy (Identification, Design, Change, and Development) and its implementation in Merdeka Learning. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method, based on a literature review. The results achieved by using this IDCD strategy are. This strategy has four main stages: defining, designing, modifying, and developing. This strategy creates a good storyline and is in accordance with the developmental level of the child, but for good results the time needed is relatively long term.

Abstract

Era digital memberikan pengaruh besar terhadap pemartabatan bahasa nasional. Pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia memiliki peranan penting dalam melestarikan dan meningkatkan rasa bangga terhadap bahasa Indonesia. Tolok ukur keberhasilan pembelajaran berbahasa juga perlu  sesuai dengan tantangan era digital. Artikel ini akan mendisuksikan kesantunan berbahasa sebagai faktor determinan dalam rangka mewujudkan keberhasilan pembelajaran berbahasa. Dari berbagai literatur diketahui bahwa kesantunan berbahasa merupakan faktor determinan keberhasilan pembelajaran berbahasa. Capaian kompetensi pembelajaran berbahasa, ditentukan oleh teori kesantunan berbahasa yang digunakan. Kemudian, cara berkomunikasi yang baik dan karakakter kesantunan berbahasa menciptakan masyarakat harmonis.Kata kunci: kesantunan berbahasa, pemartabatan bahasa, dan pembelajaran berbahasaThe digital age has a major influence on the dignification of national languages. Learning Indonesian has an important role in preserving and increasing pride in Indonesian. Benchmarks for the success of language learning also need to be in line with the challenges of the digital age. This article will indicate the politeness of language as a determinant factor in order to realize the success of language learning. From various literatures it is known that politeness in language is a determinant factor in the success of language learning. The achievement of language learning competence, is determined by the politeness theory of the language used. Then, a good way of communicating and politeness of language politeness creates a harmonious society.Keywords: politeness, language partitioning, language learning
