Abstract

Abstrak. Ketergantungan manusia terhadap lahan sangat terlihat nyata dengan adanya perubahan fungsi lahan. Perubahan fungsi lahan juga berdampak terhadap tingkat biodiversitas tumbuhan. Studi ini mempelajari tingkat biodiversitas dan kelimpahan tumbuhan di tiga lokasi yang berbeda yaitu lahan konservasi pinus/perkebunan kopi, lahan persawahan dan lahan pemukiman. Ketiga lahan tersebut berada di Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Cilaja yaitu di Desa Giri Mekar dan Desa Sindanglaya Kabupaten Bandung. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan metode sampling struktur komunitas vegetasi untuk mengetahui komposisi, struktur dan jenis vegetasi serta perbedaan komunitas di tiga titik lokasi tersebut. Untuk analisis kuantitatif digunakan metode kuadran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lahan pemukiman desa lebih beragam dibandingkan dengan lahan sawah dan lahan perkebunan kopi. Dapat disimpulkan secara umum bahwa keterlibatan dalam mengelola lahan dapat merubah komunitas, tingkat keanekaragaman dan dominansi tumbuhan.Kata kunci : DAS, tingkat biodiversitas, metode sampling struktur komunitas vegetasi Abstract. Human dependence on land is very evident with the change in land use. Changes in land use also have an impact on the level of plant biodiversity. The study followed the level of biodiversity and abundance of plants in three different locations namely conservation land pine / coffee plantations, rice fields and residential land. The third land is located in the Watershed (DAS) Cilaja is in the village of Giri Mekar and Rural Sindanglaya Bandung regency. In this research, community structure vegetation sampling methods to determine the composition, structure and type of vegetation and the three-point difference in the communities that location. For quantitative analysis used kuadran method. The results showed that the rural residential land is more diverse than the wetland and coffee plantation. In general it can be concluded that involvement in land management can change the community, the level of diversity and dominance of plants.Keywords : DAS, level of biodiversity, community structure vegetation sampling methods

Abstract

One of Freshwater Biology course problems is that the students were unable to understand the environmental phenomena around them. The aim of this study was to develop issue-based teaching materials in Freshwater Biology course to improve the students’ understanding about the environmental phenomena through their learning outcomes. This research and development used three phases of the 4D model developed by Thiagarajan, namely define, design, and development. The development results were validated by content and media experts. The design used for pilot test, which was conducted among 20 students, was one group pretest-posttest design; meanwhile the data analysis technique used was independent t-test. It can be concluded that the teaching materials developed was valid with the average validation score as high as 79.83%. In addition, there was significant improvement (sig. 0.000) of student learning outcomes after attending the course which implementing the issue-based teaching materials developed. Thus, the implementation of issue-based teaching materials is recommended in Freshwater Biology course due to its potential in improving students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi tiga jenis tanaman air yaitu Zantedeschia aethiopica, Pontederia lanceolata, Echinodorus palaefolius sebagai fitoakumulator logam kromium. Sumber logam kromium yang digunakan berasal dari limbah cair tekstil yang telah diolah namun masih memiliki kadar krom total yang masih cukup tinggi. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah microcosm constructed wetlands dengan menggunakan pasir dan kerikil sebagai substrat tumbuh. Penelitian dilakukan selama 60 hari dan parameter yang di ukur meliputi akumulasi logam kromium pada tanaman, dan respon morfologis dari tanaman selama dipaparkan dengan limbah yang mengandung logam kromium meliputi nekrosis, klorosis, berat basah dan jumlah helaian daun. Dari hasil yang didapatkan terlihat bahwa penurunan kadar logam kromium dari limbah cair mencapai 99%. Peningkatan jumlah konsentrasi logam kromium tertinggi terdapat pada tanaman Echinodorus palaefolius, peningkatan konsentrasi sebesar 6,12 ppm, sedangkan tanaman Pontederia lanceolata sebesar 2,45, dan pada tanaman zanthedeschia aethiopica sebesar 1,38 ppm. Pada akhir masa penelitian didapatkan data bahwa tanaman echinodorus palaefolius memiliki daya regenerasi yang lebih besar dibanding kedua tanaman uji lainnya, hal ini ditunjukan dengan persentase nekrosis sebesar 1,33% dan klorosis sebesar 0% dan selisih jumlah daun sebesar 0,44, sedangkan tanaman zanthedeschia aethiopica memiliki persentase klorosis 3,6% dan nekrosis 18,55% dan selisih jumlah daun -1,0, dan tanaman pontederia lanceolata 18,22% dan 4,11% memiliki selisih jumlah daun -0,44. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ketiga tanaman dapat digunakan sebagai akumulator logam kromium, namun tanaman Echinodorus palaefolius memiliki potensi paling tinggi dalam akumulasi logam kromium dari limbah cair tekstil.

Abstract

Chromium and its compounds are widely used by several industries as raw material. Chromium when polluting the soil can have adverse effects on the environment and humans. One technique that can be used to remediate the quality of soil contaminated by chromium is the phytoremediation method. The purpose of this study was to identify the potential of Alocasia macrorrhiza as a phytoremediator chromium agent. The research was conducted in two stages consisting of media optimization stage and phytoremediation parameter measurement stage. The parameters measured consisted of plant biomass, chlorophyll content, physiological responses, factor translocation, factor biconcentration and factor tolerance. The results showed that Alocasia macrorrhiza has the potential as a phytoremediation agent for chromium-contaminated soils with concentrations less than 401 ± 0.02 ppm, has the ability to reduce chromium content in soils by 37.94% and the mechanism of metal chromium absorption through rhizofiltration.

Abstract

Kemampuan inkuiri adalah kemampuan untuk memperoleh informasi melalui observasi atau eksperimen. Asesmen kinerja dalam meningkatkan kemampuan inkuiri di sekolah belum diterapkan. Oleh karena itu untuk mencapai kemampuan inkuiri tersebut penerapan asesmen kinerja diperlukan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menerapkan asesmen kinerja dalam meningkatkan kemampuan inkuiri melalui pembelajaran Levels of Inquiry siswa SMA pada sub topik pemanasan global. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Instrumen asesmen kinerja yang diterapkan terdiri dari enam task (LKS discovery learning, task laporan hasil diskusi, LKS interactive demonstration, LKS inquiry lesson, LKS inquiry lab dan task laporan hasil unjuk kerja) dan rubrik di setiap tingkat pada pembelajaran Levels of Inquiry. Instrumen penilaian kinerja kemampuan inkuiri diuji kelayakannya dengan validasi ahli, kemudian menerapkan asesmen kinerja pada satu kelas implementasi, kemudian menguji efektivitas penerapan asesmen kinerja kemampuan inkuiri dan menguji pengaruhnya. Untuk menguji efektivitas, penelitian ini melibatkan siswa SMA (N = 33) pada tahun ajaran 2017/2018 sebagai partisipan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar validasi, tes keterampilan inkuiri, task dan rubriknya, lembar observasi kinerja. Validitas instrumen penilaian kinerja kemampuan inkuiri memiliki rerata 34 dengan persentase 85%, yang dikategorikan "validitas tinggi". Rerata N-gain siswa dalam kemampuan inkuiri adalah 0,58 dengan kategori ‘sedang’. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan untuk melihat pengaruh penerapan asesmen kinerja terhadap peningkatan kemampuan inkuiri siswa adalah dengan menggunakan uji Friedman, berdasarkan perhitungan uji Friedman diperoleh probabilitas = 0,000 dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05, maka artinya nilai Probabilitas < 0,05(5), yaitu 0,000 < 0,4117. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan asesmen kinerja kemampuan inkuiri cukup efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan inkuiri dan penerapan asesmen kinerja kemampuan inkuiri berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kemampuan inkuiri. Abstract

Environmental problems such as widespread pollution are ongoing threats to the livelihood of the current and future generations. Engaging learning media such as comics can be used to instill the importance of understanding our role in solving environmental pollution problems. This paper reports the promising benefit of using comics in building junior high school students understanding and awareness of water, soil, dan air pollution. Comic is a visual medium, and whether students' specific learning styles play a role in learning results was also determined and discussed.

Abstract

The success of learning process can be seen from students' achievements and critical thinking skills. One approach that can be used to improve learning achievement and CTS is STEM. Many researchers have conducted research on STEM, but have not been specific about the aspects that play a role on it. This research aims to determine the effect of STEM from the facility aspect, teacher aspect and environmental aspect on learning achievement and CTS. This survey research used purposive sampling involving 152 students. The research instrument consists of a questionnaire to see students' perceptions of STEM from three aspects and a test instrument to determine students' learning achievement and CTS. Data analysis was carried out using partial least square. The research results show that (1) the facility aspect has the greatest influence on learning achievement; (2) environmental aspects have the greatest influence on CTS; (3) the three aspects of STEM learning have a big influence on learning achievement and CTS; and (4) learning achievement greatly influences CTS. These results show that STEM is very feasible to be implemented in the classroom to improve learning achievement and CTS

Abstract

Increasing student learning outcomes is one of the benchmarks in evaluating the implementation of the learning process. This research aims to test the effectiveness of learning models and approaches (PBL, PjBL, STEM) as well as teaching materials (E-modules and textbooks) in improving student learning outcomes. Where learning models and approaches and several types of teaching materials will be compared on student learning outcomes. So we will know the interaction of learning models and approaches and teaching materials used in influencing student learning outcomes. The research method used is comparative with experimental design. The samples used were 6 research classes selected using purposive sampling techniques. Research findings show that there is a significant influence between learning models and teaching materials on student learning outcomes, especially on the topic of biodiversity. Therefore, it is important to choose learning models and teaching materials that are relevant to the learning objectives.
