Abstract

This research was aimed to know the effect of vitamin C and honey addition on artificial feed on growth and life of sankuriang catfish. This study had been done from 17 th November 2016 – until12 th Jan 2017 at the faculty of marine and fisheries, department of equaculture univercity of Nusa Cendana Kupang. Sangkuriang catfish(5-7 cm, 2-5 g) where maintained in a terpaulin pond ( 0,8 m x 0,8 m x 0,8 m ) 15 individuals each for 56 days, feed on artificial feed mixed vitamin C and honey. The dose mexid vitamin C and honey were A100 mg/kg without honey, B 100 mg of vitamin + C 400 ml honey / kg of feed, C 100 mg + 800 ml honey / kg of feed and D 100 mg + 1.200 ml honey / kg of feed and the freaquence of given feed three time a day, morning, day and afternoon. This research arranged use complete random design (RAL) with four treatment and three repeat. The result of this research showed that real influence the absolute of sangkuriang catfish, where the average of growth higher the was in treatment B with dose of vitamin C 100 mg + 400 ml honey / kg of feed about 48,56. The average life sustainability of treatment B (dose of vitamin C 100 mg + 400 ml honey / kg of feed ) as much 100 % and treatment C ( dose of vitamin C 100 mg + 800 ml honey / kg of feed ) as much 100 %. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Probiotic Feeding and the most appropriate time in improving Growth and survivalPatin Fish (Pangasius sp) and VegetablesSawi (Brassica juncea L) in the Aquaponic System. The research was conducted in April - 2017, at the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries Undana. Type of probiotics used is tiger O2. Provision of probiotics 3 days once, once a week, and 2 weeks once with 12 weeks of maintenance. The data measured were the growth of catfish and vegetablessawi, feed conversion, survival, biomass production and water quality. The results showed that effective growth was found in the C treatment with a value of 0.211 g. The lowest feed conversion was found in treatment C with a value of 0.61g. survival of all treatments 100%. The highest production of fish and vegetables biomass was C treatment with a value of 0.637 kg / m3. From the results obtained showed that giving probiotics degan time of 2 weeks can increase growth, feed conversion and survival patin fish during the study. Abstract

This experiment aimed at finding an optimal stocking density to maximize growth and productivity of abaone Haliotis asinine reared in pen cage in coastal waters.The pen cage was constructed by sticking four 12 mm in diameter iron rods into sea floor to create an area of 0,5 m x 0,5 m. The length of each rod emerged 0.5 m above the sea floor. Nylon cloth of mesh size of 0.5 mm x 0.5 mm covered all four sides and top of the cage. A number of nine cages were deployed in Lamma Beach in Alor Regency. Each pen cage was stocked with one of three stocking densities i.e.,10 inds/cage (equal to 40 inds/m2), 20 inds/cage (80 inds/m2), and 40 inds/cage (160 inds/m2). Each of the density was replicated in triple. During the experiment the abalones were fed with macroalga Ulva sp. The effect of the densities on variables namely food intake, growth rates in shell length and body weight, survival rate, and cage productivity was monitored for 70 days between July and September 2016. ANOVA showed that density had significant effect (P<0.05) on the food intake, the growth rate in length and weight, and the cage productivity, but not on the survival. As the density increased, the feed intake and the growth rate reduced. Abalones at the density of 10 inds/cage consumed Ulva of 0.865 ±0.020 g/ind/d, then decreased to 0.490±0.033 g/ind/d at the density of 20 inds/cage, and the lowest occurred at the density of 40 inds/cage of 0.320±0.053 g/ind/d. In terms of the growth in length and weight, the highest growth rates was observed at the density of 10 inds/cage, i.e., 0.68±0.07 %mm/dand 0.65±0.05 %g/d, then followed in decreasing order by the density of 20 inds/cage of 0.52±0.01 %mm/d and 0.57±0.16 %g/d, and the density of 40 inds/cage of 0.33±0.03 %mm/d and 0.34±0.06 %g/d.Cage productivity in creased as the number of abalones in the cage was larger. The productivity rose from 1.593±0.386 kg/m2 at the density 10 inds/cage to 2.653±0.672 kg/m2 at the density 20 inds/cage to the highest of 3.134±0.562 kg/m2 at 40 inds/cage.The abalones were quite adapted to the pen cage condition and 90 to 91.67% survived at the end of the experiment. It is recommended to apply the density of 20 inds/cage (80 inds/m2) in pen culture as at this density abalones attained both high growth rate and the cage productivity. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Tesbatan, Kecamatan Amarasi, Kabupaten Kupang selama 42 hari. Komoditas yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah ikan lele dumbo. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan sehingga terdapat 12 unit percobaan. Perlakuan A dengan pemberian ampas kelapa, perlakuan B menggunakan pakan pellet jenis PIU I, perlakuan C menggunakan pakan pellet jenis Hi-Pro-Vite I, dan perlakuan D menggunakan pakan pellet jenis FF-999 I. Data dianalisis menggunakan sidik ragam (ANOVA). Pemberian pakan dilakukan secara adlibitum dan terkontrol pada pagi dan sore hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pakan pellet jenis Hi-Pro-Vite I dengan komposisi gizi protein 31-33%, lemak min 4%, serat max 5%, kadar abu max 13%, kadar air max 12% merupakan pakan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan ikan lele dumbo dan dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan ikan secara maksimal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pakan berupa ikan tembang, ikan kembung dan campurannya terhadap pertumbuhan rajungan (Portunus pelagicus). Sebanyak 9 kurungan bambu yang masing-masing berukuran 1 x 0,5 x 0,5 m ditempatkan di perairan. Setiap kurungan berisi 2 ekor rajungan dengan berat 100 – 150 g. Penelitian ini menggunakan pola Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri atas tiga perlakuan yaitu : A (ikan tembang), B (ikan kembung) dan C (campurannya ikan tembang dan kembung) yang masing-masing diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Hasil analisis sidik ragam (ANOVA) menunjukkan pemberian pakan ikan tembang, ikan kembung dan campurannya tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap pertumbuhan mutlak, pertumbuhan panjang karapas dan pertumbuhan lebar karapas rajungan. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan rumput laut (Kappaphycus alvarezii) didaerah padang lamun. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Juli-Agustus tahun 2011 di perairan Tesabela Kecamatan Kupang Barat Kabupaten Kupang. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 4 (empat) perlakuan yaitu perlakuan A (tidak ada lamun), perlakuan B (lamun sedikit), perlakuan C (lamun sedang) dan perlakuan D (lamun tinggi). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa laju pertumbuhan harian rumput laut yang paling tinggi adalah perlakuan B (lamun sedikit) sebesar 1,92 %/hari, diikuti dengan perlakuan C (lamun sedang) 1,06 %/hari, perlakuan D (lamun tinggi) sebesar 0,83 %/hari dan perlakuan A (tidak ada lamun) sebesar 0,56 %/hari. Analisis sidik ragam (ANOVA) menunjukan bahwa kepadatan padang lamun tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap laju pertumbuhan harian rumput laut. Kata Kunci : Pertumbuhan rumput laut, padang lamun

Abstract

Penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan getah papaya muda terhadap pertumbuhan benih ikan bandeng (Chanos chanos) telah dilaksanakan selama 2 bulan (Januari - Maret 2019) di Desa Bipolo, Kec. Sulamu, Kab. Kupang. ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh nyata ( P < 0,05 ) terhadap pertumbuhan mutlak tetapi tidak terhadap kelulushidupan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penambahan getah pepaya hingga 30 mg/kg pakan masih memberikan pengaruh yang baik bagi pertumbuhan ikan bandeng (Chanos chanos).

Abstract

Penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan tepung daging bekicot (Achatina fulica) dalam pakan terhadap kelulushidupan dan pertumbuhan ikan bandeng (Chanos chanos, Forskall) telah dilakukan di Balai Benih Ikan Pantai Tablolong dari Februari hingga Maret 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL, 3t, 3r), dan pakan yang diuji adalah penambahan tepung bekicot masing-masing sebanyak 10% (A), 20% (B), dan 30% (C) dalam pakan komersial. ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05), baik terhadap pertumbuhan mutlak, laju pertumbuhan spesifik maupun konversi pakan. Pertumbahan mutlak tertingggi terlihat di C sebesar 62,8 ± 3,58 g, diikuti oleh B, sebesar 54,68 ± 3,68 g, dan A, sebesar 52,80 ± 2,37 g. Laju pertumbuhan spesifik tertingggi terlihat pada C sebesar 2,63±0,10 g, diikuti B sebesar 2,46±0,13 g, dan A sebesar 2,46±0,04 g. Nilai konversi pakan pada perlakuan A sebesar 1,60±0,04, B sebesar 2,32±0,23, dan C sebesar 2,70±0,22. Rata- rata kelulushidupan pada A 93,33 %, B 100%, dan C sebesar 100 %. Hasil penelitian memberikan kesimpulan bahwa penambahan tepung bekicot (Achatina fulica) dalam pakan penting bagi pertumbuhan ikan bandeng, Secara umum hasil terbaik terobservasi pada penambahan 30% tepung daging bekicot dalam pakan. Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan berdasarkan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan dengan dosis hasil fermentasi yang berbeda yaitu dosis 5%, dosis 10%, dosis 15% dan pakan komersil tanpa penambahan hasil fermentasi. Parameter yang diamati adalah pertumbuhan mutlak, pertumbuhan spesifik harian, kelangsungan hidup dan kualitas air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata pertambahan bobot biomassa benih ikan bandeng tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan pemberian dosis probiotik 15 % pakan yaitu rerata pertambahan biomassa 13.47 gram. Pertumbuhan spesifik harian yang menunjukan pertumbuhan bobot tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan pemberian dosis 15% pakan yaitu rerata pertambahan biomasa 1.29 gram. Tingkat kelangsungan hidup benih ikan bandeng yang diberi probiotik dengan dosis yang berbeda menghasilkan kelulushidupan 100%. Kisaran kualitas air selama penelitian masih layak untuk menunjang pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan bandeng, yaitu suhu bekisar 30-32°C, pH air bekisar antara 7.2- 8.3,dan salinitas bekisar 28-29 ppt. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan probiotik pada batang pisang dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan kelulushanhidupan ikan bandeng. Abstract

This research has been carried out in Batobao Waters, Tesabela District, West Kupang District, Kupang Regency and the Laboratory of the Faculty of Marine Affairs and Fisheries as well as the Laboratory of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, University of Nusa Cendana, Kupang from November 2019 to January 2020. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of 25 days of seedlings on the growth and content of Khappapycus alvarezii carrageenan. Research on Khappapycus alvarezii seaweed cultivated using the long line method, namely with two treatments: A seed from Nature, treatment B 25 days old seedlings. Growth data obtained from the research were analyzed using paired samples t-test analysis. The results of this study indicated the effect of 25 days seed treatment on the growth and content of Khappapycus alvarezii carrageenan. The highest absolute growth was found in treatment B (25 days) which was 251 grams, and the lowest was in treatment A (natural) at 221.4 grams. While the carrageenan content showed a significant effect, namely the highest in treatment B (45%) followed by treatment A (20.6%). Based on these results it can be concluded that there is an effect of the age of the nursery on the growth and content of Khappapycus alvarezii carrageenan.
