Abstract

This article explains the development of checklist which is related with future of vocational learning skills by using the Modified Delphi techniques. The Modified Delphi technique provides the opportunity for researchers to gather input from participants in the first round of collecting data and then distributed that checklist to the expertise until consensus achieved. Often, the process is used to find consensus among experts who have different views and perspectives. The Modified Delphi technique enables group problem-solving using an iterative process of problem definition, discussion, feedback, and revisions. This paper will discuss the basics of the Modified Delphi techniques, its application potential, the selection of expert panels and the means on how consensus can be reached among the participants using examples of our past research using the technique.  The 13 out of 15 domain of the future learning skills have found in this research.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of the principals’ transformational leadership and organizational culture on teacher performance in the Indonesian context. The research instrument used was a closed-ended questionnaire which the validity was measured by the content validity by means of expert judgment. The population of this study was 343 JHS teachers in Bantul. A sample of 164 teachers was selected by means of the proportional stratified sampling technique. The valid questionnaire was then tested on 30 junior high school teachers. Instrument reliability testing was performed by statistical analysis using Cronbach’s alpha. The results show that the teacher performance is inclined by the principal transformational leadership and organizational culture both separately and simultaneously. An organizational culture has a greater effect than principal transformational leadership on teacher performance. It also shows that teacher performance is influenced by other factors. It suggests that school principals should develop a strong organizational culture and practice transformational leadership.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan-permasalahan pendidikan apa saja yang dihadapi sekolah pada tahun pertama pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan studi dokumen, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel berdasarkan teori atau konstruk operasional (theory based/operational construct sampling). Dokumen yang digunakan merupakan artikel yang diambil dari kompas.com, republika.id, dan suaramerdeka.com. Artikel merupakan hasil wawancara dengan kepala sekolah, guru, orang tua/wali siswa, dan siswa, yang berlokasi pada jenjang sekolah dasar hingga sekolah menengah atas/sederajat. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah coding sheet dan menggunakan content analysis sebagai teknik analisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat permasalahan penyelenggaraan pendidikan yang dihadapi sekolah dalam lingkup nasional dan Jawa Tengah di tahun pertama pandemi Covid-19. Rinciannya meliputi: (1) masalah terkait siswa berupa kesulitan belajar di rumah dan rendahnya kehadiran di kelas daring; (2) masalah terkait guru berupa ketidaksiapan mengajar daring, motivasi mengajar daring rendah, dan beban kerja meningkat; (3) masalah terkait orang tua siswa berupa kesulitan mendampingi siswa, kepedulian terhadap pendidikan anaknya rendah, dan tidak setuju dengan pembelajaran daring; serta (4) masalah terkait fasilitas pembelajaran berupa akses internet yang tidak memadai dan fasilitas belajar daring yang kurang memadai. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dikembangkan lebih lanjut oleh penelitian lain sehingga dapat diperoleh temuan yang lebih lengkap.
