Abstract

Encouragement from parents to get their children to get married often creates conflicts. This study analyzes interpersonal communication which is used as an effort to resolve conflicts. Qualitative methods are used to answer research questions with a phenomenological approach. The results obtained by parents often encourage their children who are old enough to get married. Conflicts between parents and children often occur when the child doesn’t feel like getting married, while the parents for several reasons want their child to get married soon. The interpersonal communication built by parents and children can be a way to resolve conflicts that occur. Openness and listening are the keys to the communication process between parents and children. This study concludes that the conflict between parents and children regarding the urge to marry must be resolved using interpersonal communication.

Abstract

This study discusses the problem of access related to clean water and sanitation in rural settlements that do not have clean water and sanitation facilities to meet their daily needs in Pasarean Village, Pamijahan District, Bogor Regency. Citizens' efforts in dealing with problems are also described in this study. The background and problems of this research are the lack of access to clean water and sanitation in rural areas due to geographical factors, such as the position of being in the hills, into clean water, and the distance to access to get distant water. So the clean water sharing program in the form of well drilling was carried out to solve the problem, which was assisted by PKPU donors from humanitarian agencies. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of participatory development communication in water sharing programs. This research method is a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques, namely participatory observation. The results of this study indicate that development communication runs in a participatory manner, whereby the community participates actively in every process of building clean water facilities starting from planning to utilizing development programs. The level of community participatory development communication can be seen at the level of community participation, where community participation is at the level of acting together, which means that in achieving the goal of meeting the needs of clean water facilities the community does not merely participate in making decisions, but also engages and establish partnerships in the implementation of the program.

Abstract

Covid 19 virus still exists. However, social distancing has begun to be less stringent in several countries, including Indonesia. One of the reasons is to revive the economy that is starting to weaken. It brings the Indonesian Government to followed the WHO direction to implement New Normal. Various information about New Normal is starting to spread through many media channels, one of them is the Instagram account of @whoindonesia. Many comments from the account followers filled the comment box and not al ofl them were positive. This study aims to map various responses through the content analysis method. The purpose is to find out the netizens’ perception of the New Normal. If the netizens understanding is different or not in accordance with the objective of The New Normal policy, then this policy might have a risk in increasing the covid-19. The result of this study is to provide an overview to policymakers about the characteristics of the audience they face in order to be able to determine the right communication strategy in reaching and providing understanding to them

Abstract

Farmers welfare needs extra attention from agricultural development stakeholders. SRI's organic rice farming program implemented by the Harapan Dhuafa (Harfa)  humanitarian agency in Parigi Village, Saketi Sub-district, Pandeglang District, Banten Province has scored social change agents. The steps taken by Harfa in running the program is through participatory communication approach in the process of adoption of organic rice farming innovation SRI method. The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics of beneficiary individuals and to analyze the relationship of individual beneficiary characteristics, the intensity of participatory communication, the perception of program benefits and the level of social entrepreneurship, so that participatory communication in the context of social entrepreneurship can be well described in the organic rice farming program SRI. Research results show participative communication in the development of organic rice farming SRI method has a positive impact for the development of social entrepreneurship in Parigi Village. Through intensive participatory communication, the farmers actively engage in dialogue, arguing to reflect the results of the training/field schools in their respective fields. The emergence of individual beneficiary character in organic rice farming in increasing income and also awareness in improving environmental quality and health by producing and consuming organic rice. Based on the analysis using chi square correlation showed that there is no real relationship between the characteristics of individual beneficiaries with the intensity of participatory communication, the perception of program benefits and the level of social entrepreneurship. That is, the characteristics of individual beneficiaries is not a benchmark in an effort to increase organic rice farming methods SRI. Factors that have major influence on the intensity of participatory communication, the perception of program benefits and the level of social entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Rumah Langit Foundation is an institution engaged in the social sector, namely fostering the children of scavengers in the Gedong village area, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta. Rumah Langit has aspirations to inspire children. The Rumah Langit Foundation has a website that is designed to provide information access space for the public to get to know the vision, mission and activities carried out by the foundation. On the other hand, the children assisted by this foundation have smart phones from their scavengers profession. It is feared that this new habit will expose the fostered children to sensitive or negative content if they do not receive proper guidance. The presence of this activity is expected to be able to optimize the existing website and be able to inform the wider community so that it invites more participation and provides briefing to avoid the negative impact of the internet.

Abstract

Salah satu pemangku kepentingan pembangunan yang peduli dalam menangani masalah sosial di Kabupaten Pandeglang adalah organisasi sosial kemanusiaan Harapan Dhuafa (Harfa) cabang Pandeglang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah bagaimana mengembangkan Kewirausahaan Sosial melalui komunikasi partisipatif. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan sensus, yaitu 56 responden. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode survei, wawancara mendalam, dan observasi. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dengan tabel frekuensi dan persentase. Hasil penelitian melalui wawancara mendalam menemukan bahwa komunikasi partisipatif dalam pengembangan pertanian padi organik dengan menggunakan metode SRI telah memiliki dampak positif pada pengembangan kewirausahaan sosial di Desa Parigi. Melalui komunikasi partisipatif intensif pada saat sekolah lapangan SRI organik dan pertemuan rutin oleh fasilitator lapangan Harfa, sehingga mitra petani menjadi aktif berdialog, berpendapat yang mencerminkan hasil sekolah lapangan di bidangnya masing-masing. Tingkat kewirausahaan sosial wirausaha juga diperoleh dari sekolah lapangan SRI Organik, di mana mitra petani benar-benar memahami pentingnya menjalankan pertanian padi organik menggunakan metode SRI, selain memberikan manfaat ekonomi seperti mengurangi biaya input, sehingga meningkatkan pendapatan seiring dengan meningkatnya produktivitas padi, mitra petani juga puas dan bangga menjalankan pertanian padi organik SRI, karena mereka telah berkontribusi untuk meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan dan kesehatan dengan memproduksi dan mengonsumsi beras organik.

Abstract

Early in 2020 the community was shocked by the Corona Virus Pandemic (Covid 19), it is estimated that more than 215 countries are struggling to stop the transmission of this virus, including Indonesia. This virus can attack anyone, including children, based on the results of case detection that children who have contracted Covid-19 also continue to increase. The Srikandi Early Childhood Education Institute, East Jakarta, has not provided Covid-19 education to its students. Through PKM activities, the Abdimas team of the Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran jakarta carried out socialization activities for the prevention of Covid-19 including introduction to how to prevent Covid-19 through the pictorial story method. The series of activities consist of preparation, implementation and evaluation. Based on the results of the evaluation, it is concluded that the implementation of this activity is quite effective because the cognitive abilities of children have increased.

Abstract

Memiliki harapan merupakan hal yang lumrah bagi setiap orang. Tanpa harapan, seseorang seolah tidak memiliki tujuan dalam hidupnya. Namun kadang manusia tak hanya memiliki harapan yang sifatnya positif dalam hidupnya, tetapi juga memiliki keputusasaan atau hopelessness di saat sesuatu tidak berjalan sesuai keinginannya. Kedua perasaan ini bisa timbul di saat-saat tertentu, namu tidak semua orang mampu membaginya dengan orang lain. Berbeda dengan para musisi, mereka yang biasa menciptakan lagu, seringkali diberi kebebasan untuk mencurahkan perasaannya melalui lagu-lagu yang dibuatnya. Seperti halnya dengan boyband asal Korea Selatan, BTS, mereka diberi kebebasan oleh agensi yang menaunginya untuk mencurahkan perasaan mereka melalui lagu-lagu yang mereka ciptakan sendiri. Melalui lagu, mereka merasa bisa mengomunikasikan apa yang sedang mereka pikirkan dan rasakan kepada khalayak, terutama fans mereka (ARMY). Band ini begitu dicintai oleh publik, bisa dilihat dari banyaknya prestasi mengagumkan yang mereka dapatkan tak hanya di negaranya asalnya sendiri namun juga di seluruh dunia. Kejujuran yang mereka sampaikan lewat lirik lagu, rasa cinta mereka terhadap fans, bahkan harapan dan keputusasaan bisa dirasakan langsung oleh semua orang. Tak terkecuali lagu “Interlude: Shadow”, dari lirik dan video clip nya sendiri kita bisa menemukan isyarat harapan dan hopelessness di dalamnya. Karena itu penulis tertarik untuk mencari tahu lebih dalam representasi harapan dan hopelessness dari video clip “Interlude: Shadow” ini menggunakan Semiotika Roland Barthes.

Abstract

Goa Lauk adalah Goa yang teletak di Desa Lebaktipar, kecamatan Cilograng kabupaten Lebak. Goa ini merupakan Goa yang memiliki ukuran besar dengan bentuk Goa bawah tanah yang dialiri oleh sungai bawah tanah yang berasal dari sungai sawarna. Goa ini telah lama menjadi bahan penelitian baik dari kalangan akademisi maupun ilmuwan, karena goa ini memiliki keunikan dan tekstur yang sangat indah, mulai dari keadaan alamnya, karang-karangnya dan segala ornamen yang terdapat di dalam goa tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi komunikasi pemasaran Objek Wisata Goa Lauk dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana dampak komunikasi pembangunan setelah adanya Objek Wisata Goa Lauk. Metode yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa kegiatan komunikasi pemasaran yang dilakukan oleh pengelola Goa Lauk sudah banyak diupayakan, namun hal tersebut belum cukup untuk mengangkat citra Goa Lauk. Pengelola menghadapi masalah utama yaitu tentang ketersediaan sumberdaya manusia dan permodalan, dimana hal tersebut sebetulnya dapat diatasi dengan alternatif-alternatif kreatif yang dapat digunakan. Goa Lauk mempunyai potensi besar untuk wisata karena sumber daya alam yang tidak banyak dimiliki di tempat lain, namun butuh upaya serius untuk mempromosikan hal tersebut. Strategi komunikasi pemasaran yang perlu ditingkatkan dengan strategi zero budget marketing.
