Abstract

This research is conducted in order to find out, namely: (1) The ways of Guest Star implement their Language Attitude during giving comments about the questions made by Andy, (2) The ways of Guest Star implement their Turn-Taking during giving comments about the questions made by Andy, and (3) The reason of Guest Star behave as the way they are in giving comments. The research method applied for this research is qualitative research. Instrument used to gather the data is the record of the conversation between Andy and Guest Star in the TV talk show. The writer analyzed the data then categorized into the components of Language Attitude and a framework for Turn-Taking. The findings of the research, namely: (1) It occurred dominantly applied the Affective Component on the utterances of them, and (2) The Guest Star gave their individual’s perception upon their responds. The Guest Star arranged their thought, opinion, suggestion, emotion, belief and action

Abstract

Internet addiction is becoming one of the worrying phenomena for Indonesian teenagers. The internet has an impact on our lives, both positive and negative. The positive impact of the Internet includes helping children learn to explore, cognitively train, relieve tension or provide entertainment, and. affiliated with peers. While the negative impact that can occur when using the internet excessively is disrupting family life, work, education, sleep, hobbies, and social relationships. The most common threat when a person is addicted is his or her inability to regulate emotions. A person will more often feel feelings of sadness, loneliness, anger, shame, fear to go out, be in situations of high family conflict, and have low self-confidence. These results in children and adolescents can become introverted and indifferent to the surrounding environment, thus affecting their social life, such as relationships with peers or family. It is likely that it can plunge children and adolescents who are addicted to the internet into criminal acts, both in the real world and cyberspace.

Abstract

Literasi menjadi salah satu pondasi utama yang perlu dijarkan di tingkatan sekolah dasar. Bila pondasi literasi sudah kuat sejak tingkat SD, maka selanjutnya peserta didik akan dapat dengan cepat mengikuti pembelajaran. Pemerintah saat ini juga sedang gencar juga meningkatkan budaya literasi dengan salah satu gebrakan yaitu Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). Rendahnya budaya literasi dan nilai-nilai karakter dilingkunagn anak-anak, remaja saat ini perlu ditingatkan. Hal ini yang mendorong tim untuk melakukan PkM dengan judul PkM “ Penguatan Literasi Berbasis Pendidikan Karakter” Di SD Negeri. No. 128077 Kota Pematangsiantar. Seminar ini di  ikuti 12 Guru di sekolah tersebut. Budaya literasi dapat juga ditingkatkan dengan pendidikan karakter. Budaya literasi dapat juga ditingkatkan dalam pendidikan karakter. Budaya literasi dan pendidikan karakater ibarat dua sisi matalogam yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dengan berliterasi dapat juga membentuk karakter peserta didik. 18 nilai-nilai karakter dapat meningkatkan penguatan literasi. Para guru harus mampu menyelaraskan antara literasi dengan nilai-nilai karakter.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan website pelatihan lirik efektif dalam mengajarkan keterampilan menyimak pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Pematang Siantar tahun ajaran 2022-2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen semu. Jumlah populasi adalah siswa kelas VIII-3 dan VIII-4. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII-4 sebagai kelas kontrol yang terdiri dari 32 siswa dan kelas VIII-3 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang terdiri dari 32 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan pre-test dan post-test kepada siswa. Peneliti ini menggunakan uji-T untuk menganalisis perbedaan skor antara kelas eksperimen (pengajaran keterampilan Mendengarkan dengan situs web pelatihan lirik) dan kelas kontrol (pengajaran keterampilan mendengarkan tanpa situs web pelatihan lirik). Berdasarkan skor yang diperoleh, peneliti menemukan bahwa = 2,83 > 2.000 pada taraf signifikan 5%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar keterampilan menyimak pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Peneliti dapat menyimpulkan bahwa penggunaan website pelatihan lirik efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mendengarkan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh yang signifikan dari penggunaan teknik Think-Pair-Share terhadap prestasi membaca pemahaman siswa kelas sebelas di SMA Negeri 1 Dolok Panribuan. Khususnya dalam pemahaman bacaan, banyak siswa yang masih mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami teks bacaan. Dengan demikian, peran guru menjadi penting dalam proses belajar mengajar terutama dalam memilih model pembelajaran yang sesuai untuk memudahkan siswa dalam memahami teks bacaan bahasa Inggris. Salah satu teknik yang dapat digunakan dan diterapkan oleh guru adalah teknik Think-Pair-Share. Teknik Think-Pair-Share merupakan salah satu jenis pembelajaran kooperatif yang terdiri dari tiga langkah; Pikirkan, Pasangkan, dan Bagikan. Dengan demikian, untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan teknik Think-Pair-Share terhadap prestasi membaca pemahaman; Teknik Think-Pair-Share digunakan sebagai teknik pengajaran dalam pengajaran membaca dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

Words are composed of morphemes. The notion that morphemes are words is not necessarily true. While some single morphemes can function as words, some words have two or more morphemes. Furthermore, it is wrong to consider morphemes to be syllables. In contrast, many words only have one syllable and two morphemes; examples are "cats," "runs," and "barked." Morpheme can be classified as either Free or Bound Morpheme. It applies the Bound Morpheme's restriction, which included eight inflectional affixes. The goal is to determine how pupils use bound morphemes. This study's research tool was acquired through testing. Knowing the sort of error and where it happens helps with testing. The procedures for data analysis were applied by the data analysis methodologies. Counted the Bound Morpheme first. Second, they were divided into groups. Thirdly, the number of frequently occurring terms was counted. Fourthly, determined which word should be chosen and which should not be. Then, based on the total number of words with the ratings Excellent, Good, Fair, and Poor, percentages were calculated. Meanwhile, based on the results of the The student’s ability in implementing the Inflectional Affixes is 38% as a very good category, 25% as a good category, 25% as a fair category, and 12% as a low category in implementing the Inflectional Affixes of Bound Morpheme on the text.

Abstract

This study focuses on the technique of throwing snowballs in teaching reading comprehension at grade tenth students of SMA Swasta Kampus Nommensen Pematangsiantar in narrative text. therewere problems which related on this research The problem of the students Students had low in reading comprehension,The students not familiar with the vocabulary in the text, and Students did not understand how to find out the main idea in the reading narrative text. whether this technique can improve the reading comprehension ability of he grade tenth at SMA Swasta kampus Nommensen Pematangsiantar campus. The snowball throwing technique can be used as a teaching tool for students to learn in teaching reading comprehension. Research Problem Formulation is, is There a More Significant Effect of Snowball Throwing Technique on Reading Comprehension at grade tenth Students of SMA Swasta Kampus Nommensen Pematangsiantar in Narrative Text? This study uses an experimental design, meaning that there are certain experiments that are applied to the population or sample. And the population of this study is four classes, namely students in the second year of 2022/2023 of SMA Swasta Kampus Nommensen Pematangsiantar. and the sample for the The researcher used a proposive sampling. There were 25 students in each classroom. The control group using (textbook) while the experimental group was taught using snowball throwing technique. In this reseaarch, Data analysis revealed that the post-test mean score for the experimental group was 80, whereas the control group's score was 59,68. The effect of applying snowball throwing technique more significants than the effect of texbook to the ability of grade tenth students of SMA Swasta Kampus Nommensen Pematangsiantar in narrative tex. This can be proven from the t-count of 2.21 and the t-table value is 2.011 at alphe 0.05 and df= 48 ( Nx + Ny -2 = 25+25-2 = 48 ). The t-test value is higher than the t-table value (t-test > t-table). Therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) rejected. Abstract

This community service was held to enhance the use of Information Technology and Communication (ICT) among teachers in SMA Negeri 1 Sidamanik Simalungun regency North Sumatera as media to teach students in the class. This issue is important to be solved in order to the development of new era nowadays where every aspects of life has use technology. This community service was held hybrid, one day of offline training and then followed by online training. As the result, teachers of SMA Negeri 1 Sidamanik did a positive progress on the development of ICT use. It is hoped that workshop alike can be done in the larger scope and length of time in the future

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi jenis kesalahan tata bahasa yang dihasilkan oleh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pematang Siantar saat menulis teks deskriptif. Desain penelitian deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk penelitian ini. Data untuk penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui dokumentasi, dan instrumen penelitian adalah tes tertulis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tulisan siswa tentang teks deskriptif memiliki kesalahan tata bahasa. Jenis kesalahannya adalah omission, overinclusion, missselection, misordering, dan blend error. Kesalahan tata bahasa disebabkan oleh kesalahan interlingual dan intralingual. Generalisasi yang berlebihan, ketidaktahuan tentang batasan aturan, penerapan aturan yang tidak lengkap, dan konsep yang dihipotesiskan salah adalah contoh kesalahan intralingual.
