Abstract

Salah satu kriteria keberhasilan pembelajaran adalah kualifikasi guru dengan latar belakang pendidikan yang sesuai. Latar belakang pendidikan yang sesuai akan meningkatkan kepercayaan diri seorang guru untuk mengajar dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kemampuan guru biologi dalam menguasai konsep/materi biologi khususnya alumni atau lulusan program studi pendidikan biologi FKIP Universitas Tanjungpura.  Manfaat dari penelitian ini adalah untuk perbaikan proses belajar mengajar di program studi. Berdasarkan data dari penelitian ini, maka dapat diketahui apa saja mata kuliah yang memerlukan penekanan dalam pengajarannya atau memerlukan pembelajaran yang lebih mendalam. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah guru-guru yang telah mengajar di SMP negeri di kalimantan barat. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 20% dari total SMP yang diperoleh secara acak. Data diperoleh menggunakan angket dengan 37 pernyataan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa materi biologi yang masuk dalam kategori tahu sebagian besar dengan persentase paling tinggi (83%) adalah  tingkat keanekaragaman gen, jenis dan ekosistem. Materi yang termasuk dalam kategori tahu sebagian kecil adalah fungsi enzim dalam proses metabolisme dengan rata-rata persentase hanya 17%. Kata kunci: tingkat pengetahuan guru, materi biologi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginventarisasi jenis tumbuhan yang berpotensi tanaman hias di hutan lindung Gunung Sari Singkawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan metode jelajah secara zig-zag mengelilingi kontur gunung pada ketinggian 25 m, 125 m, 225 m dpl hingga ketinggian 330 m dpl. Hasil penelitian didapatkan 22 spesies tumbuhan berpotensi tanaman hias. Ada dua jenis tumbuhan berpotensi sebagai tanaman hias bunga, 10 jenis tumbuhan berpotensi sebagai tanaman hias daun, dan tiga jenis tumbuhan berpotensi sebagai tanaman hias buah. Tujuh jenis tumbuhan lainnya berpotensi sebagai tanaman hias bunga kombinasi dengan daun, bunga dengan buah atau daun dengan buah. Jumlah total tumbuhan berpotensi tanaman hias yang paling banyak ditemukan pada ketiga ketinggian adalah Syzygium oleina dan yang paling sedikit adalah Amorphophallus sp. Keberadaan Amorphophallus sp dan Bromheadia finlaysoniana (Lindl.) yang merupakan tumbuhan dengan status kategori rentan dan apendiks II menunjukkan perlunya perlindungan terhadap tanaman tersebut dari kepunahan di Gunung Sari, Singkawang.Katakunci: Inventarisasi tumbuhan, tanaman hias, Singkawang

Abstract

This study was aimed at identifying the preschool children’s (children aged 3 - 5) understanding on parts of the body. It covers the three compnents: 1) the ability to name parts of the body, 2) knowledge of the function of each part of the body named, and 3) the ability to explain how to take care of them. This descriptive study involved 105 preschoolers, as the sample with three criteria: 1) children aged 3 to 5 years old, 2) children without physical disability, and 3) children born in Kubu Raya. The instruments used were media images of the 23 parts of human body. The results showed that 100% of the children knew the eight parts of the body such as the eyes, hair, nose, ears, head, legs, stomach, and mouth. Likewise, the children completely (100%) recognize and know the way how to take care of the body parts. However, they still did not know some parts of the body i.e. the penis, ankles, vagina, upper arm, forearm and wrist, in terms of name, function, or the way to take care of.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi kesulitan belajar pada siswa khususnya pada pelajaran sains. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan survei. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner. Subjek penelitian adalah guru yang yang aktif dalam kelompok Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) Biologi di Kabupaten Kayong Utara dan Kota Singkawang. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil yang diperoleh diketahui kesulitan belajar yang dialami siswa saat belajar di Kayong Utara dan Singkawang. yaitu kurang konsentrasi, sulit memahami materi, tidak mandiri dalam belajar dan sulit mengingat materi. Dari 27 guru sains, 26 guru menyatakan media TIK mewakili media yang dipilih guru untuk mengatasi ke 7 kesulitan belajar tersebut. para guru memiliki keinginan kuat untuk mengintegrasikan TIK ke dalam proses belajar-mengajar walaupun sulit diaplikasikan. Hambatan utama adalah kurangnya komputer di ruang kelas, dan internet kecepatan rendah. Penting bagi pelatih guru dan pembuat kebijakan untuk memahami hambatan penggunaan TIK di kelas. Sehingga strategi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media TIK dapat tepat bagi siswa dan guru.

Abstract

This study examines students' reactions to a climate change research-based lecture delivered via Google Classroom. Lesson study in two cycles is the lecture's context (plan, do, see). This study involved 90 students from three study programs in education faculty at University Tanjungpura Pontianak, including physics education, biology education, and chemical education, who took an environment-based course. The attitude questionnaire was employed in this research. Data is analyzed using a descriptive statistical analysis technique that employs the percentage formula. According to the data analysis, pupils respond positively to the environment study based on climate change research conducted through Google Classroom. As a result, the use of Google Classroom in a lecture setting based on climate change research findings.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memetakan pola tampilan slide powerpoint yang digemari oleh siswa di jenjang PAUD hingga di jenjang SMA di Kabupaten Kubu Raya dan Kayong Utara, Kalimantan Barat, Indonesia. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berupa siswa dan guru-guru yang mengajar materi IPA terdiri dari 12 guru PAUD di Kubu Raya, 8 guru SD di Kubu Raya, dan 23 guru SMA di Kayong Utara. Siswa yang berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 249 siswa dari seluruh siswa di sekolah tersebut. Masing-masing jenjang pendidikan terdiri dari 2 sekolah yang merancang pembelajaran secara kolaboratif (plan). Selanjutnya guru melaksanakan open class dan diakhiri dengan refleksi. Pelaksanaan ini dilaksanakan sebanyak 2 siklus di masing-masing jenjang. Materi yang diamati dalam pembelajaran di PAUD adalah tentang Pengenalan organ tubuh, materi yang diteliti di SD adalah tentang makhluk hidup, dan di SMA tentang sistem Indera Manusia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 16 pola tampilan media yang terbagi dalam 5 kelompok yaitu complementary, analogous, triadic, split, dan tetradic. Pola ini dideteksi dari siklus plan pada masing-masing jenjang. Pola ini merupakan pola yang digunakan guru dalam menampilkan media pembelajaran di kelas. Berdasarkan hasil angket dari 249 siswa dari jenjang PAUD hingga jenjang SMA diperoleh informasi bahwa 1) 63% siswa secara keseluruhan dari PAUD hingga SMA lebih menyenangi pola tampilan media berupa split dibandingkan complementary, analogous, triadic, dan tetradic, 2) pola tampilan media tetradic dominan diminati oleh siswa PAUD dan SD, 3) siswa sekolah menengah lebih menyukai pola tampilan media berupa analogous. Diharapkan kepada para guru untuk merancang media pembelajaran sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa yang dididik. Kata kunci: pola tampilan media, pembelajaran IPA

Abstract

This study aims to improve the teaching and learning process and outcomes, improve the implementation process of instruction, and improve student learning outcomes by combining cooperative learning models with natural science educational crossword puzzle multimedia on the digestive system instructional material. The form of research used is Lesson study, which is designed in 2 cycles, each cycle having 1 meeting. At each meeting, students learnt in groups using the natural science educational crossword puzzle multimedia. The results showed that the application of educational crossword puzzle multimedia was carried out well in each cycle (100%) with very strong criteria. Study results also described that the average activeness of students was 100% with very strong criteria. Based on the analysis of student achievement in the cycle I with an average score of 80.29, mastery of 82.61%, and in the second Cycle 83.48 with mastery of 91.30%, it can be concluded that thr application of natural science educational crossword puzzle multimedia supports the learning process for the better and improves student learning outcomes, especially in the material of digestive system.

Abstract

The Implementation of education in Higher Education must have the vision and mission to achieve a certain goal. The result of the vision and mission statement is socialized to get feedback as an evaluation and perfection of the vision and mission. The achievement of vision and mission that have been determined must be known, understood, and implemented by all academicians including students. This research was conducted to measure the level of students' understanding of the vision and mission of Biology Education Study Program of FKIP Untan. This research used qualitative approach with descriptive study. The subjects in this research were 246 students of Biology Education Study Program of FKIP Untan class of 2015, 2016, and 2017. The research instrument used was a questionnaire with closed and open statement. The results of this study indicated that in general the students have understood the vision and mission well. Data analysis showed that 236 (95,93%) students have read vision and mission, 190 (77,24%) and 204 (82,93%) students knew about vision and mission, 203 (33,44%), 101 (64%) students were the highest percentage of students who read the vision and mission in standing banner or class and in academic guidance book. Furthermore, 162 students (65.85 %) agreed that they have been well informed about the vision and mission, 165 students (67.07%) agreed that they have understood the vision and mission, 173 students (70.33%) agreed with the existence of vision and mission, and 159 students (64.63%) agreed that the vision and mission were used as references.

Abstract

The lessons that have been conducted so far have not been well optimized assessed from the point of view of lecturers and students. Learning that have been conducted is a teacher centered learning. Student activities tend to be passive, most of the students are just coming, sitting, listening, silent and lack of spirit while following the learning process. This study aims to improve student learning activity in the third semester class of Biology Education Study Program of Tanjungpura University through cooperative learning model with mind mapping in Environmental Studies. Classroom Action Research is used as the method of the research.  Non test by observationsheet is used as the method for collecting data .Data analysis that conducted in this research is qualitativedescriptive studies. The result of the research shows that there is an increase of students' learning activity by reading, notice the pictures, questioning, discussing, giving suggestions, listening actively, writing the results of activities, drawing the mind map, presenting and displaying the mind mapping work with the average result of first cycle 72.27% and 87.38% for the second cycle. The result of data analysis shows cooperative learning model along with mind mapping can increase student learning activity.

Abstract

This study purpose to determine the effect of the SAVI (Somatic Auditory Visualization Intellectualy) learning model assisted by flipchart media on the learning outcomes of stundents in the concept of biodiversity concept in class X SMA PGRI 1 Pontianak. The from of research used was quasy experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The research sample consisted ot two classes, namely class xa as an experimental class and class xb as acontrol class, the technique used in sampling is technique. The instrument used was a multiple choice with 20 items. The average score of the experimental class learning outcomes 14,21 while the control class 12,83. U-Mann Whitney test result abtained that Zcount (-2,47) < -Ztable (-1,96) these result indicate there are differences in learning outcomes of students who are taught with the SAVI learning model assisted by flipchart media and who are taught using conventional models. Through the calculation of the effect size, the SAVI learning model assisted by flipchart media has an effect of 25,17% on the learning outcomes of grade X stundest of SMA PGRI 1 Pontianak.
