Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui performa ayam broiler yang mengkonsumsi kulit nanas yang difermentasi (KNF) dengan yogurt dalam ransum mengandung gulma obat (GO). Materi yang digunakan yaitu 200 ekor ayam broiler jantan umur 2 hari, ransum mengandung gulma obat dan kulit nanas yang difermentasi dengan yogurt. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu T0 (ransum kontrol, ransum mengandung 0 % KNF dan 0 % GO), T1 (ransum mengandung 0 % KNF dan 2 % GO), T2 (ransum mengandung 7,5 % KNF dan 2 % GO), T3 (ransum mengandung 15 % KNF dan 2 % GO), dan T4 (ransum mengandung 22,5 % KNF dan 2 % GO). Peubah yang diamati adalah konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan (PBB), bobot akhir dan konversi ransum. Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA dan Uji kontras ortogonal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ransum yang mengandung KNF berpengaruh nyata (P0.05) terhadap konsumsi ransum, PBB, bobot akhir, dan konversi ransum. Konsumsi dan konversi ransum meningkat dengan peningkatan pemberian KNF sedangkan bobot badan menurun. Disimpulkan bahwa pemberian tepung kulit nanas setelah difermentasi dengan yogurt sebanyak 22,5 % di dalam ransum mengandung campuran gulma obat dapat menurunkan performa ayam broiler. (Broiler chicken performance fed fermented pineapple peel by yogurt in diet containing medicinal weed)ABSTRACT. Research aimed to determine broiler performance fed different level of yoghurt - fermented pineapple peel (FPPM) in the diet containing medicinal weed. Two hundred 2 day - old male broiler chicken, diet containing medicinal weed  (MW) and yoghurt - fermented pineapple peel used in this study. The experimental design was a completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments were T0 (control, diet containing 0% FPPM and 0% MW), T1 (diet containing 0% FPPM and 2% MW), T2 (diet containing 7.5% FPPM and 2% MW), T3 (diet containing 15% FPPM and 2% MW), and T4 (diet containing 22.5% FPPM and 2% MW). The variables were feed consumption, body weight gain, live weight and feed conversion ratio. Data were analyzed by ANOVA and Contrast orthogonal Test. The results showed that there was a significant effect (P0,05) of treatment on the feed consumption, body weight gain, live weight and feed conversion ratio. Feed consumption and feed conversion ratio increased with increasing level of FPPM in the diet, however, body weight decreased. It is concluded that feeding yoghurt - fermented pineapple peels up to 22,5 % in the broiler diet containing medicinal weed decreased broiler chicken performance.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan tepung kunyit (Curcuma domestica) dalam ransum yang mengandung black garlic terhadap performa ayam broiler. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah ayam broiler umur sehari (DOC) sebanyak 200 ekor dari strain New Lohman MB 202, tepung black garlic, tepung kunyit, ransum komersial nonantibiotic produksi Japfa Comfeed serta 20 unit kandang beserta perlengkapannya. Ayam broiler dibagi dalam 5 perlakuan dengan 4 ulangan, setiap ulangan terdiri dari 10 ekor. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah P0= 100% ransum komersial tanpa antibiotik, P1= P0+3% black garlic, P2=P1+0.5% tepung kunyit, P3=P1+1.0 tepung kunyit dan P4= P1+1.5% tepung kunyit sedangkan untuk periode akhir semua ayam pada perlakuan P1, P2, P3 dan P4 hanya diberikan ransum komersil yang mengandung black garlic. Penelitian ini dirancang menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Peubah yang diamati adalah konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan, konversi ransum, bobot karkas dan morfometrik usus halus. Pengaruh yang nyata perlakuan terhadap peubah yang diamati dilanjutkan dengan uji Jarak Berganda Duncan. Hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan tepung kunyit dalam ransum yang mengandung black garlic berpengaruh tidak nyata (P0.05) terhadap semua peubah yang diamati. Disimpulkan bahwa penambahan tepung kunyit sampai 1.5% dalam ransum yang mengandung black garlic pada fase awal tidak dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan performa ayam broiler.  (The use of turmeric flour (Curcuma domestica) in rations containing black garlic on broiler chicken performance) ABSTRAK. This study aims to determine the effect of using turmeric flour (Curcuma domestica) in rations containing black garlic on broiler performance. The material used was 200 DOC broilers, which were divided into 5 treatments with 4 replications where each replication consisted of 10 chickens. Treatment consisted of P0 = 100% commercial ration without antibiotics, P1=P0+3% black garlic, P2=P1+0.5% turmeric flour, P3=P1+1.0 turmeric flour, and P4= P1+1.5% turmeric flour. These treatments were offered during the starter phase. During the finishing period, all chickens groups P1, P2, P3 and P4 were fed rations containing 100% commercial feed and 3% of black garlic. This study was designed using a completely randomized design (CRD), if there is an effect on the treatment, it will be further tested with Duncan's test. The observed variables were ration consumption, body weight gain, ration conversion, carcass weight, and small intestine morphometrics. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the use of turmeric flour in rations containing black garlic had no significant effect (P0.05) on all observed variables. It is concluded that the addition of turmeric flour up to 1.5% in the ration containing black garlic during the starter phase had not been able to improve the performance of broiler chickens.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan kulit nanas fermentasi ke dalam ransum yang mengandung gulma berkhasiat obat terhadap konsumsi nutrient ayam broiler. Penelitian ini menggunakan DOC jantan strain cob umur 2 hari sebanyak 200 ekor yang dipelihara selama 42 hari. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. P0 = 0% tepung kulit nanas fermentasi (TKNF) dalam ransum mengandung 0% gulma obat(GO), (kontrol positif), P1 = 0% TKNF dalam ransum mengandung 2 % gulma obat (GO),(kontrol negatif), P2 = 7.5% TKNF dalam ransum mengandung 2 % gulma berkhasiat obat, P3 = 15% TKNF dalam ransum mengandung 2 % gulma berkhasiat obat, P4 = 22.5% TKNF dalam ransum mengandung 2 % gulma berkhasiat obat. Parameter yang diamati kandungan gizi kulit nanas sebelum dan sesudah fermentasi dan konsumsi nutrient. Pengaruh yang nyata terhadap parameter yang diamati dilanjutkan dengan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan, Data yang diperoleh dari setiap parameter dianalisis ragam (ANOVA) menggunakan bantuan software SPSS 16.0. Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan kulit nanas yang fermentasi dengan yoghurt dalam ransum yang mengandung gulma berkhasiat obat pada taraf 15% memberikan hasil terbaik pada konsumsi nutrient ayam broiler. (Fermented pineapple peel supplementation with addition of medicinal weeds on nutrient intake consumption of broiler chicken) ABSTRACT. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of using fermented pineapple peel in the ration containing medicinal weeds on nutrient consumption and performance of broiler . Two hundred 2 days male broiler chicken cob strain were used in this study and kept for 42 days. Completely randomized design (CRD)was applied with 5 treatments and 5 replicates. Treatments consisted of P0 = 0% of fermented pineapple peels meal (FPPM) in ration containing 0% medicinal weed (MW), positive control). P1 = 0% of fermented pineapple peels meal (FPPM) in the ration containing 2 % medicinal weed (MW), negative control). P2 = 7.5% of FPPM in the ration containing 2 % medicinal weed (MW). P3 = 15% of FPPM in the ration containing 2 % medicinal weed (MW). P4 = 22,5% of FPPM in the ration containing 2 % medicinal weed (MW). The parameters measured was nutrien intake before and after fermented peel and consumption. The observed data were analyzed by statistical product and service solution (SPSS 16.0). Results showed that use of fermented pineapple peel meal up to 15% with addition medicinal weeds was the best on nutrient consumption of broiler chicken.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Untuk mendapatkan produksi terbaik dalam pemeliharaan puyuh maka harus memperhatikan ransum yang diberikan dimana ransum yang berkualitas baik akan meningkatkan penyerapan zat makanan yang berguna untuk meningkatkan performa awal produksi seperti umur pertama bertelur, bobot badan saat pertama bertelur, bobot telur pertama dan konversi ransum yang terbaik pula. Performa awal merupakan kunci keberhasilan untuk produksi selanjutnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui performa awal bertelur pada puyuh yang bahan pakannya diganti dari tepung bawang putih menjadi bawang hitam. Materi yang digunakan adalah 200 ekor puyuh betina umur 3 minggu yang dipelihara sampai umur bertelur pertama. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah penggantian tepung bawang putih dengan bawang hitam sehingga diperoleh 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan dimana setiap ulangan terdiri dari 10 ekor puyuh. Perlakuannya adalah P0=100% ransum komersil tanpa penambahan tepung bawang putih dan bawang hitam (kontrol), P1=100% ransum komersil+3% tepung bawang putih+0% bawang hitam, P2=100% ransum komersil+2% tepung bawang putih+1% bawang hitam, P3=100% ransum komersil+1% tepung bawang putih+2% bawang hitam, P4=100% ransum komersil +0% tepung bawang putih+3% bawang hitam. Penelitian ini didesain menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dan jika terdapat pengaruh pada perlakuan dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak Duncan. Peubah yang diamati meliputi konsumsi ransum, bobot badan dan umur saat bertelur pertama dan konversi ransum. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan penggantian tepung bawang putih dengan bawang hitam tidak menunjukkan pengaruh yang nyata (P0.05) terhadap konsumsi ransum, bobot badan dan umur saat bertelur pertama, dan konversi ransum puyuh. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh bahwa substitusi tepung bawang putih dengan bawang hitam sampai 3 % dalam ransum belum dapat memperbaiki performa awal produksi telur pada puyuh. (Substitution garlic with black garlic in the ration on early egg production of layer quail (Coturnix - coturnix japonica)) ABSTRACT. Quail production depends on the feed and feeding where feed quality will increase quail ability to digest and absorb the nutrients, thus, will improve the performance of early egg production, body weight at first egg laid, egg weight and feed conversion. The performance of early egg production is key to success and subsequent determinant of production. This study aimed to determine the performance of early egg production of quail fed ration contained garlic that was substituted by black garlic. The study used 200 female quail at 3 weeks of age and was kept until the first day of laying egg. The treatments were the substitution level of garlic with black garlic, namely P0 = 100% commercial feed without garlic and black garlic, P1 = 100% commercial feed + 3% garlic + 0% black garlic, P2 = 100% commercial feed + 2% garlic + 1% black garlic, P3 = 100% commercial feed + 1% garlic + 2% black garlic, and P4 = 100% commercial feed + 0% garlic + 3% black garlic. The research was designed into Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications those 10 quails each. The parameters were feed consumption, body weight and age at the first day of laying egg, and feed conversion. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) and the significant effect of the treatment would be tested using Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. Results of this study showed that there was not significant different (P0.05) among treatment groups on feed consumption, body weight and age at the first day of laying egg, and feed conversion. It is concluded that using black garlic up to 3 % or 2.91 % in ration to substitute garlic does not improve quail early egg production performance yet.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of feeding black garlic and curcuma in the ration on the growth performance and blood profile of broiler chickens. This research was conducted in the Faculty Farm and Integrated Laboratory of the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Jambi and Health Laboratory, Jambi Province. The research used 200 day old chicken broiler (DOC) with strains of New Lohman MB 202. The experiment was carried out using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications, 10 chickens each. The treatments were: P0 = 100% commercial feed (control), P1 = P0 + 3.0% black garlic + 0% curcuma, P2 = P0 + 2.0% black garlic + 1.0% curcuma, P3 = P0 + 1.0% black garlic + 2.0 % curcuma  and P4 = P0 + 0% black garlic + 3.0% curcuma.  Parameters measured were bodyweight gain, feed consumption and conversion ratio, and blood cholesterol profile (total cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL and HDL). The data were analyzed according to the design used, and highly significant effect on parameter would be tested by Duncan's multiple range test. The results of this study showed that the treatment had a significant effect (P<0.05) on feed consumption, bodyweight gain, feed conversion ratio dan blood cholesterol properties. Duncan's test showed that feeding 2% of black garlic and 1% curcuma significantly (P<0.05) increased feed consumption as well as bodyweight gain and HDL whereas cholesterol, triglycerides and LDL decreased significantly (P<0.05). It is concluded that combination of 2% black garlic and 1% curcuma can improve growth performance up to 5% and blood profile of broilers (total cholesterol, Triglyceride and LDL decreased 8.62%, 36.59% and 28.43% respectively, HDL increased 9.15% approximately).

Abstract

            Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan mengetahui Performa Usus Halus Broiler yang Diberi Tepung Kunyit (Curcuma domestica) dalam Ransum yang Mengandung Tepung Bawang Hitam (Black garlic). Penelitian ini menggunakan 200 ekor DOC, tepung bawang hitam, dan tepung kunyit. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 pelakuan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan 100% Ransum Komersil (control), P1 = 3% Tepung Bawang Hitam, P2 = P1 + 0,5% Tepung Kunyit, P3 = P1 + 1% Tepung Kunyit, P4 = P1 + 1,5% Tepung Kunyit. Peubah yang di amati didalam penelitian ini yaitu konsumsi ransum, bobot potong, Panjang Usus Halus dan Bobot Relatif Usus Halus. Data diolah menggunakan analisis ragam dan pengaruh yang nyata akan dilanjutkan uji jarak berganda Duncan. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan tepung kunyit dalam ransum yang mengandung tepung bawang hitam berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) teradap konsumsi pakan namun berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap panjang dan bobot usus halus. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan tepung kunyit sampai taraf 1,5% dalam ransum yang mengandung 3% tepung bawang hitam pada konsumsi ransum dapat meningkatkan konsumsi ransum namun tidak mengganggu performa usus halus broiler.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to determine the nutritional quality of fermented feed containing banana plant waste that will be given to native chickens in Sidolego Village to accelerate the achievement of Sidolego Village as a chicken center village.Methods: The ingredients used to make fermented feed were banana tree waste, black garlic, curcuma, maize, rice bran, fish meal, and coconut meal. All ingredients were ground into flour, mixed thoroughly, and fermented using a solution of Effective Microorganisms 4 (6ml EM4: 6gram sugar: 1-liter water). The study was designed into a completely randomized design with 4 treatments; length of fermentation (1, 2, 3, and 4 days) and 5 replications. The parameters were the nutrient content (dry matter, organic matter, crude protein, crude fiber, and crude fat) and metabolizable energy. Results: The results showed that the fermentation time significantly affected (P<0.05) the nutrient content and energy of fermented feed. Fermentation for 3 days significantly decreased dry matter, crude fiber, nitrogen-free extract, and metabolizable energy. The fermentation period did not significantly affect organic matter and crude fat content, but it significantly increased crude protein content. Conclusions: It was concluded that feed containing banana tree waste fermented using EM4 for 3 days had sufficient nutrients especially crude protein content (20%) and might be offered to the growing local chickens in Sidolego Village and meet their nutrient requirement. It is recommended that the results of this study be followed up on feeding to local chickens kept in Sidolego Village to know its effect on local chicken performance.

Abstract

The research aim was to determine the influence of time feed restriction on the efficiency of protein utilization in growing period of broiler. Materials used in this experiment were 500 22 - 42-day-old broilers. The commercial pelleted feed containing 19% protein and 3100 kcal/kg of ME for grower period was used. The treatments were P0 (feed was provided ad libitum from 7 to 42 day of age, P1 (feed was provided ad libitum from 22 to 42 day of age), P2 (feed was provided 8 hours a day, with time composition 3 hr in the morning (08.00-11.00) and 5 hr in the afternoon till night (16.00-21.00)), P3 (feed was provided 10 hours a day, with time composition 3 hr in the morning (08.00-11.00) and 7 hr in the afternoon till night (16.00-23.00)) dan P4 (feed was provided 12 hours a day, with time composition 3 hr in the morning (08.00-11.00) and 9 hr in the afternoon till night (16.00-01.00)). Completely Randomized Design with 5 treatments and 4 replicationS was used in this experiment. Parameters measured were feed intake, protein consumption, body weight gain and efficiency of protein utilization. The result showed that time length to provide the feed was significantly reduced (P<0.05) feed intake, protein consumption and was significantly increased (P<0.05) the efficiency of protein utilization. Therefore, body weight was the same for all treatments. It concluded that 8 hours a day for time length to proved the feed could increase the efficiency of protein utilization and did not interfere body weight gain.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan nutrisi ampas tahu yang difermentasi dengan Trichoderma viride, Saccaromyces cerevisae dan kombinasinya. Materi yang digunakan adalah ampas tahu, dedak padi Trichoderma viride, dan Sacharomyces cerevisieae. Penelitian ini didisain menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan, sehingga diperoleh perlakuan; P0= ampas tahu tanpa fermentasi (kontrol), P1= ampas tahu difermentasi dengan 5% Trichoderma viride, P2=ampas tahu difermentasi dengan 2% Sacharomyces cerevisieae dan P3= ampas tahu difermentasi dengan 5% Trichoderma + 2% Sacharomyses. Peubah yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah bahan kering, protein kasar, serat kasar, bahan organik dan karbohidrat. Data yang diperoleh akan dianalisa sesuai rancangan yang digunakan dan jika terdapat pengaruh yang nyata akan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Duncan (Steel dan Torrie, 1993). Hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan fermentasi berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap kadar bahan kering ampas tahu, tetapi berpengaruh nyata (P<0.05) terhadap kadar protein kasar, serat kasar, bahan organik dan karbohidrat. Uji Duncan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Trichoderma viride dan Sacharomyces cerevisiae berpengaruh nyata (P<0.05) menghasilkan kandungan protein tertinggi dibanding dengan kombinasi dan kontrol. Trichoderma viride memberikan pengaruh nyata (P<0.05) menghasilkan kadar serat kasar ampas tahu yang paling rendah. Kadar bahan organik dan karbohidrat untuk semua perlakuan nyata (P<0.05) lebih rendah dibanding dengan kontrol. Kesimpulan yang dapat diperoleh adalah fermentasi menggunakan Trichoderma viridedan Sacharomyces cerevisiae lebih mampu meningkatkan kandungan protein kasar ampas tahu, sedangkan untuk menurunkan kadar serat kasar dapat dilakukan menggunakan Trichoderma viride.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan tepung kunyit dalam ransum yang mengandung bawang hitam (Black Garlic) terhadap Karkas dan lemak abdomen broiler. Penelitian ini menggunakan 200 ekor DOC broiler, tepung bawang hitam (Black garlic) dan tepung kunyit. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan terdiri P0 = 100% Ransum komersil (Kontrol), P1 = P0 + 3% Black Garlic, P2 = P1 + 0,5% Tepung Kunyit, P3 = P1 + 1% Tepung Kunyit, P4 = P1 + 1,5% Tepung Kunyit. Peubah yang diamati didalam penelitian ini yaitu konsumsi pakan, bobot potong, karkas, dan lemak abdomen. Data diolah menggunakan analisis ragam dan pengaruh yang nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan tepung kunyit dalam ransum yang mengandung bawang hitam berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap konsumsi ransum dan bobot lemak abdomen, namun berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap bobot potong, bobot karkas, persentase karkas, dan persentase lemak abdomen. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan tepung kunyit dalam ransum yang mengandung 3% bawang hitam mampu meningkatkan konsumsi ransum, namun belum mampu menurunkan lemak abdomen, meningkatkan bobot karkas dan bobot potong pada ayam broiler.
