Abstract

Port of Panjang is located in Bandar Lampung, Lampung Province. As a strategic port in Indonesia, it requires the development of facilities and equipment to increase its functional role and meets the high standard of service. Four units of Gantry Jib Crane (GJC) in the Dock D is using on-board engine (diesel genset) as a captive power as power supply. Diesel genset operation cost much and poluuting the air around the port.In effort to reach the category of Green Port, PT. Pelindo II intends to save energy and reduce air pollution in the port of panjang, replacing captive power of GJC, which has been using a captive power supply, will be replaced with electricity from the PLN grid. Diesel-gensets that already exist are used as stand-by unit to be operated when the power source of the electricity out or disrupted.The captive power replacement designed and then operating cost analysis and environmental analysis are calculated. With maintaining the genset on each crane, the crane reliability level in the services, loading and unloading can take place continuously.

Abstract

The installation of lighting and running text in the housing gate is expected to provide lighting around the gate so that it is clearly seen if there are vehicles passing by. In addition, with the upgrade of the information board using an electronic board (running text) it becomes very clear and beautiful both in the morning and at night.

Abstract

Indonesia adalah salah satu negara beriklim tropis serta negara yang dilalui oleh garis khatulistiwa seluruh wilayahnya mendapatkan sinar matahari yang cukup besar sepanjang tahun sehingga dapat dikembangkan energi terbarukan. Untuk meningkatkan ketersediaan energi listrik berkelanjutan secara maksimal, penggunaan PLTS rooftop skala kecil dapat menjadi solusi sebagai sumber energi listrik ketika sumber PLN padam. Dalam membuat perencanaan sistem green energy dengan PLTS perlu dilakukan analisis terlebih dahulu, dimana analisis yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja dari sistem yang telah direncanakan agar sistem dapat bekerja secara maksimal sehingga ketersediaan energi listrik yang dibutuhkan oleh beban dapat terpenuhi. Perencanaan dan analisis tersebut juga dapat dijadikan tolak ukur untuk membuat perencanaan dengan skala besar kedepannya. Metode penelitian ini dilakukan dengan uji coba dan pengambilan data dari peralatan sistem rooftop solar photovoltaic. Pada saat pengujian dilakukan dengan menggunakan sudut kemiringan 13° dan simulasi shading pada modul photovoltaic 3x100Wp monocrystalline dengan sistem pemasangan paralel sehingga didapatkan data pengukuran dari sistem yang telah dibuat. Dari hasil uji coba dan analisis yang dilakukan bahwa kinerja dari sistem backup supply menghasilkan energi harian yang lebih besar daripada energi yang dibutuhkan beban, dengan PSH (Peak Sun Hours) selama 5 jam penyinaran. Economy feasibility dari pemasangan rooftop solar photovoltaic ditinjau dari segi techno-economic dengan menggunakan metode diperoleh Net Present Value (NPV) Rp16.383,98, Profitability Index (PI) 1,002, Internal Rate of Return (IRR) 4,53% dan payback period 20 tahun maka berdasarkan kriteria standar pemasangan sistem ini dinilai layak.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Beberapa waktu terakhir terdapat sebuah teknlogi baru dari lampu LED, yaitu lampu LED cerdas. Sudah cukup banyak penelitian tentang perbandingan performa lampu LED dengan lampu jenis lainnya, namun belum ada penelitian tentang perbandingan kinerja antar merk lampu LED cerdas. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka dilakukan analisis pengaruh warna cahaya dan tingkat kecerahan terhadap kuat penerangan lampu serta pengaruh tingkat kecerahan terhadap penggunaan energi, daya, faktor daya, tegangan, dan arus pada sembilan merek lampu dengan daya yang sama. Didapatkan hasil lampu Merek A mempunyai unjuk kerja yang lebih baik jika dibandingkan lampu merk lain. Hal ini dikarenakan lampu Merek A mempunyai nilai kuat penerangan yang paling baik di antara merk lampu lainnya pada kedua warna cahaya. Selain itu kuat penerangan lampu Merek A tidak terlalu terpengaruh dengan penurunan tingkat kecerahan. Namun, penggunaan energi listrik pada lampu merek A relatif konstan meskipun tingkat kecerahan diturunkan. ABSTRACT Recently, there has been a new technology for LED bulb, namely smart LED bulb. There have been many studies on comparing the performance of LED bulb with conventional bulb, but there has been no research on performance comparisons between brands of smart LED lamps. Based on this, an analysis of the effect of light color and brightness level on bulb illumination and the effect of brightness level on the use of energy, power, power factor, voltage, and current on nine brands of bulbs with the same power was carried out. The results obtained that A bulb have better performance when compared to other bulbs. This is because A bulbs have the best illumination value among other bulbs in both light colors. In addition, the illumination of the A bulb is not too affected by the decrease in the brightness level. However, the use of electrical energy in A bulb is relatively constant even though the brightness level is lowered.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Salah satu peralatan yang penting dalam sistem distribusi tenaga listrik adalah transformator. Penuaan transformator disebabkan oleh kerusakan isolasi yang diakibatkan dari proses degradasi kimia yang terakselerasi oleh oksidasi dan peningkatan suhu. Maka dari itu, untuk menilai loss of life transformator yang paling umum digunakan adalah menggunakan karakteristik thermal transformator. Peningkatan penggunaan photovoltaic (PV) yang mulai menyebar di berbagai daerah adalah salah satu bukti mulai diandalkannya energi terbarukan. Hal ini membawa dampak positif maupun negatif, baik bagi sistem tenaga secara keseluruhan, maupun bagi peralatan listrik. Artikel ini membahas berbagai penelitian terdahulu yang meneliti tentang pengaruh penggunaan PV terhadap penurunan kondisi transformator distribusi. Artikel review ini dibagi menjadi tiga bagian. Yang pertama membahas tentang akibat pemasangan PV yang mempengaruhi kinerja dari isolasi transformator berdasarkan pembebanan yang dialami saat operasi. Yang kedua membahas tentang pengaruh harmonisa yang dihasilkan oleh sistem PV terhadap penuaan transformator. Yang terakhir membahas tentang beberapa penelitian terdahulu yang membahas pendekatan untuk mengatasi harmonisa pada sistem. ABSTRACT One of the most important equipment in an electric power distribution system is a transformer. Transformer aging is caused by insulation breakdown resulted from chemical degradation processes that are accelerated by oxidation and increasing temperature. To assess the loss of life of the transformer, the most commonly used is to use the thermal characteristics of the transformer. The increasing use of photovoltaic which is starting to spread in various regions is one proof that renewable energy is starting to be relied on. This has both positive and negative impacts, both for the power system as a whole and for electrical equipment. This article discusses various previous studies that examined the effect of the use of photovoltaic on the deterioration of the distribution transformer condition. This review article is divided into three parts. The first is the effect of PV penetration which affects the performance of the transformer insulation based on the loading during operation. The second is the effect of harmonics generated by the PV system on the transformer aging. The last is to discuss some of the previous studies that proposed methods in reducing harmonics in the system.

Abstract

Transformers are one of the important electrical equipment in the power system. To prevent some electrical contact on the component in transformers, an insulator or dielectric material is needed likely insulating oil. DGA test is important for diagnosis and deciding the maintenance of transformers. Duval Triangle and Duval Pentagon methods are DGA identification methods with the highest of accuracy compared to other methods. The data used in this article is from the DGA measurement test of transformers GT 3.1 Steam and Gas Power Plant Grati. The DGA data was analyzed by Random Forest based-model of Duval Triangle and Pentagon method, in accordance to IEEE C57.104-2019 and IEC 60599-2015 guidelines. Random Forest based-model has the best performance in implemented Duval method than others. The result of DGA identification using Random Forest based-model showed PD and S for Duval Triangle, and S for Duval Pentagon and from the results of identification using the Duval Triangle and Pentagon it does not always show the same results on the same test sample, so it is necessary to identify the history of DGA testing to get accurate results. This article presents the use of the combined Duval Triangle and Pentagon for diagnosis transformers.

Abstract

The transformer insulation system in the form of oil-immersed paper, is the most important part of a transformer. This isolation system needs to be ensured that it has the appropriate characteristics, and is resistant to stress due to transformer operation. The most commonly used method for evaluating insulation life is the accelerated thermal aging test. Insulating oil-immersed paper is sealed in a vessel with a ratio in the Accelerated Thermal Aging Chamber with a volume capacity of 3600 ml. It takes about 3000 ml of oil to be poured into a tube with a ratio of insulating oil to insulating paper rolled on copper which is 10:1 and then heated in a thermal oven to accelerate aging. This study aims to develop an Accelerated Aging Chamber for evaluating the performance of transformer isolation systems. The developed test cell is able to reach a set-point of 150°C in 16 minutes with on/off control while PID control in 37 minutes with a Human Machine Interface for monitoring and collecting temperature data in real time, and maintaining that temperature until the end of the experimental period. Theresults of the sample will later be tested for the characteristics of the transformer insulation, namely tensile strength, color scale, andbreakdown voltage due to thermal stress.

Abstract

The number of Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) in operation is increasing in Indonesia. GIS failure requires expensive costs andextensive blackouts. Asset reliability management such as SF6 is needed to ensure GIS performance. Several studies have tested thequality of SF6 gas to assess the feasibility and operation of the GIS. However, a complete GIS feasibility study based on SF6 gas qualityparameters has not found. In this study, a condition assessment of the GISTET Kembangan 500/150 kV was carried out based on applicableinternational standards. There is an interesting phenomenon in the form of dew point anomaly and moisture content in severalcompartments, indicating that the gas is moist. The results of this study indicate the operational feasibility of the GISTET Kembangan500/150 kV , the effect of high humidity on GIS operations, and maintenance recommendations.

Abstract

LED bulb are increasingly being adopted not only because of their good efficacy, but also because they are known to havehigh controllability. LED lighting has developed rapidly in recent years to achieve more efficient and reliable LED performance. Severalstudies have conducted experiments to obtain the characteristics and performance of LED lamps. However, study comparing theperformance of LED bulbs with various manufacturer and considering the price factor has not been found. In this study, the performancecomparison of six LED bulb manufacturers that are commonly found in the Indonesian market were conducted. Each brand is sampledfrom three rated powers. The results of this study show a weak correlation between the price and performance. Nonetheless, theperformance of LED bulb from different manufacturers were observed.

Abstract

Transformers are critical equipment in electrical power system which assist in transmitting electrical energy from generators to consumers. Oil insulation is one of the key component in power transformer. Poor quality of oil insulation can be fatal to the transformer, especially when a disturbance occurs. Oil insulation can affect the aging of power transformers and the failure can disturb the continuity of electrical energy supplied to consumers. There are three things that affect the condition of transformer oil insulation, namely chemical, electrical, and physical. The test results of oil insulation parameters that were collected was assessed individually, such as Interfacial Tension (IFT), colour, breakdown voltage (BDV), acidity, and water content. Then, the condition assessment of power transformer oil insulation using a scoring matrix method proposed in CIGRE TB 761 was performed to determine the assessment index of oil insulation conditions of two 150 kV power transformers based on the results of various oil testing. Lastly, recommended action is provided based on the analysis.
