Abstract

This study aims to describe the acquisition of conjunction elements in preschool children. This research is focused on the acquisition of coordinating and subordinating conjunctions in preschool-aged children. The subject of this research is a 5 year old girl. The data in this study are utterances from 5-year-old girls which contain elements of coordinating and subordinating conjunctions. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research design. There are three stages of data analysis in this study, namely reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the conjunctions most frequently found in the speech of research subjects are coordinating conjunctions. The coordinating conjunctions found in the utterances of the research subjects are and, or, but, whereas, besides, moreover, only, except. The subordinating conjunctions found in the utterances of research subjects are if, if, for, so, before, after.

Abstract

This service activity aims to improve teacher writing skills and the ability to search for reliable information as a source of reference and create digital libraries for writing scientific articles. The method of implementing this service used training. This service partner was the teachers at SMPN 16 Padang. The instruments for evaluating this service activity were the articles written by the teachers, which were analyzed descriptively. The results of this service showed that teachers could produce relevant scientific articles that could be used for teacher promotion. Approximately 80% of teachers could master how to turn class action research reports into scientific articles. In addition, this activity could improve 100% of teachers' understanding of the procedures for writing and publishing scientific articles in accredited journals. This success was seen from the articles made by the teachers according to the template from the specified journal.

Abstract

Writing skill is still the most difficult language skill among the four language skills. Writing skills require a process approach. In addition, creativity is an important aspect that must exist. One of the things that can be done to foster creativity, especially in writing classes, is to take creative steps contained in the synectic model. Synectic model raises syntax or steps that can direct thinking to think creatively. Creative steps will produce creative work as well. The synectic model with its basis in literary ecocriticism is of course the right choice to produce interesting short story literary works, full of creativity, and good criticism of the surrounding environment. This research is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental type of research. The data collected is in the form of numbers. The purpose of this study was to look at the effect of using a synectic model based on literary ecocriticism in learning to write short story texts at school. The research data is short story texts that have been written by students. The results of the study show that there is an effect of using the literary ecocritic-based synectic model in writing short story texts.

Abstract

Peristiwa tahun 1965 telah menjadi sejarah kelam bagi nilai-nilai kemanusiaan bangsa Indonesia. Hingga saat ini, masih sering terdengar pembahasan seputar peristiwa ini, tidak terkecuali di dalam karya sastra. Salah satunya yaitu cerpen Semua Yang Mati Harus Dikubur karya Sasti Gotama. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengungkapkan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan yang ada di dalam cerpen serta menarik pemaknaan darinya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Data bersumber data kutipan teks cerpen Semua Yang Mati Harus Dikubur. Data kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teori Sosiologi Sastra. Kemudian dilakukan pemaknaan teks melalui interpretasi teks. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa cerpen Semua Yang Mati Harus Dikubur mengungkapkan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan yang diperlihatkan melalui representasi manusia dan kemanusiaan, serta kritik dan seruan kemanusiaan di dalam ceritanya. Representasi manusia dan kemanusiaan diungkapkan cerpen melalui media hewan yaitu seekor kucing dan garangan. Analisis mengungkapkan bahwa cerpen ini mengandung kritik tentang kemanusiaan sekaligus seruan untuk menghidupkan kembali rasa kemanusiaan dan nurani untuk dapat memanusiakan sesama. Abstract The tragedy of 1965 have been a dark history for the humankind ​​in Indonesia. Until now, the discussion about the 1965 tragedy is still continue, including in literary works. One of them is Semua Yang Mati Harus Dikubur, a short story  written by Sasti Gotama. The purpose of this research is to reveal the values of humankind ​​in Semua Yang Mati Harus Dikubur and to conclude the meaning of the whole text. This research is a qualitative research that using descriptive analysis to reveal the meaning. The resource of the data is the text of Semua Yang Mati Harus Dikubur. The data had been analyzed by using the theory of Sociology of Literature. Then, the meaning of the whole text is revealed through text-interpretation. The results of the study shows that Semua Yang Mati Harus Dikubur expresses the values of humankind. It is shown through the representations of humans and humanities, as well as criticism and calls for humanity in the story. The representation of humans and humanities is expressed in the short story through animal, namely a cat and a mongoose. The analysis reveals that this short story contains criticism about humanity as well as a call to revive humanity and conscience to be able to humanize others.

Abstract

Abstrak. Keterampilan menulis adalah keterampilan yang membutuhkan latihan secara terus menerus. Keterampilan menulis akan meningkat apabila kegiatan menulis dilakukan secara terus menerus. Dalam keterampilan menulis proses menjadi hal penting untuk melihat peningkatan yang sudah terjadi. Salah satu keterampilan menulis yang disorot dalam penelitian ini adalah keterampilan menulis teks prosedur siswa smp. Keterampilan menulis teks prosedur mereka masih tidak sesuai dengan yang diharapkan dan belum memenuhi syarat dikatakan teks prosedur. Dalam penulisan teks prosedur ini, penggunaan model project based learning. Model Project Based Learning (PjBL) atau model berbasis proyek dalam pembelajaran termasuk model yang menggunakan suatu proyek atau kegiatan sebagai media. Model pembelajaran berbasis proyek ini merupakan model pembelajaran yang berfokus pada siswa dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menganalisis secara sistematis, terstruktur, dan juga teliti dalam rangka mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang meghasilkan suatu proyek atau karya. Model PjBL ini sejalan dengan aspek yang dibutuhkan dalam kegiatan menulis yaitu proses dan menghasilkan proyek. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Data penelitian ini adalah nilai dari tulisan siswa dan kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistika. Dari hasil penelitian terbukti bahwa kelas yang menggunakan model Project Based Learning dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks prosedur siswa dibandingkan dengan kelas yang tidak menggunakan model tersebut.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of using the Project Based Learning model integrated with Oral Corrective Feedback in teaching academic writing in tertiary institutions. This form of research uses an experimental methodology and is quantitative in nature. Matching Pretest-Post-Test Control Group Design was used as the research methodology. This research data collection strategy uses tests. The test given is a performance test, in which students make scientific articles to be published in journals. The research data processing technique was SPSS 17. Based on the findings and discussion it can be concluded that the use of the PjBL model integrated with Oral Corrective Feedback is more effective than using the PjBL model alone to teach students academic writing in the field. Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program, Padang State University. The use of this model is one of the innovations in learning based on the latest curriculum by integrating innovative language learning methods in learning in tertiary institutions.

Abstract

The synectic model is the basis for increasing creativity. The synectic model in learning to write poetry is one of the right steps to research. Creativity is the basis for writing activities. Writing activities require high creativity in producing good and original writing. The ability to write is always a problem from time to time because bringing out the creativity that exists in a person is not easy, but a way is needed to foster that creativity. One of the steps is to use the synectic model in learning to write poetry. The synectic model that carries steps to think creatively on the basis of metaphors helps students grow their creativity in writing poetry. The synectic model in learning to write poetry is then juxtaposed with literary ecocriticism, the goal is to produce literary works that care about the surrounding environment. Submission of criticism of the environment in the form of poetry will make an interesting work. This type of research is quantitative with a quasi-experimental method using a control class and an experimental class.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang berjudul “Pemanfaatan Template Surat Otomatis dalam Kegiatan Surat Menyurat pada Dinas Pendidikan Pemuda dan Olahraga Kabupaten Solok” bertujuan mengembangkan wawasan literasi digital yang mencakup kemampuan untuk menggunakan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, mengenali dan menilai kebenaran informasi, serta memahami hak dan tanggung jawab dalam penggunaan teknologi. Adapun tahapan-tahapan yang direncanakan pada kegiatan PKM ini antara lain: (1) persiapan materi pelatihan dengan menggunakan modul berisi penjelasan mengenai surat dinas; (2) penggandaan dan distribusi modul kepada khalayak sasaran; (3) penyajian materi sesuai dengan modul dan cara penyajian dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dibantu dengan media power point, diskusi kelompok kecil dan paripurna; (4) tutorial pelatihan dengan bimbingan individual berupa penerapan pelaksanaan penulisan surat dengan menggunakan template otomatis, (5) pelatihan penyusunan arsip di dalam aplikasi; dan (6) evaluasi dan refleksi kegiatan. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan menulis surat pegawai Disdikpora Kabupaten Solok. Oleh sebab itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan pemanfaatan template surat otomatis pada kegaiatan surat menyurat pada Disdikpora kabupaten Solok memiliki dampak positif, mudah, dan praktis.

Abstract

Kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan video pembelajaran interaktif dengan aplikasi Edpuzzle diperlukan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan literasi digital guru SMPN 4 Kecamatan Harau di Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota. Pelatihan ini dilakukan pada bulan September 2023 di Payakumbuh. Peserta kegiatan ini adalah 12 orang guru di SMPN 4 Arau. Pelatihan ini direncanakan untuk dilaksanakan dalam beberapa tahap, yaitu: pengenalan konsep, pembahasan, dan latihan terstruktur. Hasil kegiatan PKM menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan literasi digital guru-guru dengan pembuatan media pembelajaran interaktif dengan aplikasi Edpuzzle. Adapun peningkatan kapasitas guru SMPN 4 Arau melalui pembelajaran melalui lieterasi digital berupa multimedia interaktif sehingga dapat meningkatkan motivasi, kreativitas, dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi pelajaran. Selanjutnya, kegiatan PKM ini menguatkan akan pentingnya keterampilan literasi digital bagi guru dalam mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Merdeka di sekolah. Selanjutnya, peserta pelatihan mendapatkan kesempatan untuk bertanya kepada pemateri mengenai materi yang disampaikan. Pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang diajukan oleh peserta menunjukkan bahwa peserta pelatihan antusias dan ingin mempelajari lebih lanjut tentang Edpuzzle. Oleh sebab itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan PKM dapat memberikan manfaat yang lebih besar bagi para guru dan dapat mendukung peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah.
