Abstract

Inventarisasi bahasa-bahasa daerah perlu terus dilakukan karena hasilnya dapat digunakan, di antaranya untuk memperkaya kosakata dan menambah lema Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia. Berbagai upaya telah dilakukan untuk menjaga kelestarian bahasa dan budaya daerah, seperti memasukkan pelajaran bahasa daerah sebagai sebagai muatan lokal di sekolah dasar dan menengah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginventarisasi leksikon bahasa Sasak, dialek a-e yang berkaitan dengan medan makna aktivitas kaki. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitiaan ini adalah metode deskriptif-kualitiatif. Data dalam penelitian ini didapatkan dari komunitas tutur asli bahasa Sasak, dialek a-e di dua desa dan kelurahan yang berada di Kabupaten Lombok Tengah. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa data Kamus bahasa Sasak Indonesia dan data lisan dari penutur bahasa Sasak, dialek a-e. Teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah telaah pustaka, teknik cakap, dan teknik simak. Adapun teknik yang digunakan untuk analisis data adalah teknik analisis komponen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahasa Sasak memiliki 37 leksem dan 6 submedan makna yang berkaitan aktivitas kaki. Leksem-leksem medan makna aktivitas kaki dalam bahasa Sasak yang berhasil dijaring adalah nganjeng ‘berdiri’, terenjeng ‘berdiri terpaku’, betelékot ‘berdiri santai, betelinjaq ‘berjinjit’, betomet ‘berdiri dengan tumit’, ngangkang ‘berdiri mengangkang, nyerutat ‘bangun tergopoh-gopoh’, toès ‘bangun’, lampaq ‘berjalan’, melèce ‘lalu lalang’, bekasor ‘berjalan dengan menggesek-gesekkan telapak kaki’, ngampang ‘berjalan merangkak’, kebunjaq ‘berjalan tidur’, beténgkak ‘berjalan dengan satu kaki’, ngésot ‘berjalan dengan pantat’,  ngelamang ‘keluyuran’, pelai ‘lari’, rarat ‘lari cepat’, ngijik ‘lari dengan langkah-langkah pendek’, kebur ‘kabur’, mimit ‘lari sangat cepat’, babar-abar ‘lari tunggang langgang’, barong-arong ‘berlomba lari’, maléq ‘mengejar’,  ngober ‘mengusir’, nyeran ‘memburu’, nendang ‘menendang’, nyépor ‘menendang dari belakang’, ngelanjak ‘menendang dengan telapak kaki bawah’, ngapér ‘menendang  menyapu’, ngetik ‘menendang ke belakang’,  ngapak ‘menendang ke belakang dengan perut  telapak kaki’, begenjah ‘menginjak’, ngerencak ‘menginjak dengan keras’,  ngémoq ‘menginjak-injak cucian’, ngicaq ‘menginjak pelan’, nyelontak ‘melompat’, ngeléngkak ‘melangkahi’, berunjaq ‘berlompat-lompat’, dan nyerimpoh ‘terjun’.

Abstract

The research was conducted to determine student learning achievement before the pandemic using face-to-face learning and after pandemic using E-learning. The research was conducted at SMPN 13 Tangerang. In the research, the researcher used a qualitative approach. The researcher took the sample of this study were 10 students of class VIII and 2 English teachers. The instrument in the study was a questionnaire given to students, then observations and interviews with students and teachers. Based on the results of interviews with class VIII students and teachers, it was found that students are more comfortable, and more able to understand and follow the lesson by using the face to face learning model because students can meet face to face, discuss the material given or ask the teacher directly if there is something they haven't. understanding of English material. Likewise, teachers in making materials, managing classes, evaluating students more easily during face-to-face learning. This research proves that student learning achievement is maximized and run well using the face-to-face learning model.Keywords: Learning achievement, Before and during pandemic

Abstract

This paper investigated the metacognition of final semester students in completing their mini-thesis. The obstacles faced by English study program students in writing mini-thesis were assumed resulted from their lack of metacognition implementation. Metacognition is often described as knowledge and control over one’s cognitive processes. This research used mixed-method design. The instruments used were observation, interviews, and questionnaire. The subjects of this research consisted of 18 students of 8th, 9th as well as graduated students and 10 lecturers of English Study program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang. This study showed: firstly, students are quite hard to complete mini-thesis due to their strategy following the schedule is need to be pushed by their advisors. Secondly, most respondents have good metacognitive awareness, while few of eighth and ninth semester students need to improve planning, information management strategy and monitoring. Thirdly, metacognition can be the effective solution to encourage students in achieving their target.

Abstract

Arranging online teaching materials is a necessity in the current digital era, especially for educators/teachers. Teaching materials are one of the learning tools that can become a reference for a teacher as an effort to provide information and knowledge in a structured teaching strategy. This paper aims to provide an explanation regarding the implementation of community service carried out by MTS teachers in Tangerang in the context of preparing online teaching materials through an online application. There are 45 participants who involved in this program to arrange online teaching materials, from those participants only 1 person is succeed and the others found it difficult to complete it, because they were also busy. This shows that the implementation of teaching materials for a teacher is still low.

Abstract

English for Specific Purposes (ESP) is a course aimed at using English for specific academic purposes in accordance with the expertise in a particular study program. Problem happened when teaching ESP for sharia business law students who have difficulty in understanding of the terms of sharia business law in English language. The objective of this research to investigate the use of multimedia-aided teaching (MAT) to improve student’s understanding of sharia business law terms. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with48 respondents from fifth semester, academic year 2023/2024 at University of Trunojoyo Madura. The data were collected by using observation, questionnare, and interview. Based on data analysis from questionnaire and interview, it can be concluded that (1) students were more enthusiastic in learning ESP by using MAT; (2) the learning material and visualization of multimedia (PPT and picture) is interesting; (3) students agree that MAT helps students to improve understanding of Sharia Business Law in English term; and (4) there was an increase in student scores related to understanding Sharia Business Law terms in English after using MAT. These findings of this research help the students for improving their undertanding about the terms of sharia business law.

Abstract

This research was conducted as a form of investigation to see the pragmatic force on instagram captions containing information about tourism object in Bangkalan, Madura. This research using a qualitative descriptive as an effort to see the pragmatic force of instagram captions based on 3 indicators, attracting attention, the using of language on instagram caption, and increasing desire to visit tourism object. The data in this research found on instagram @adindarigama and @alfisuma. This research uses a questionnaire as a data collection tool. There are 100 respondents in this study. The theoretical approach used in this research is a sociopragmatic approach to see respondents’ perceptions regarding the pragmatic force of instagram captions which are used as the object of study. The results of the research show that (1) on pragmatic force with variable “attracting attention”, an average of 77, 75% agree that information on IG caption attracted attention; (2) on pragmatic power with the variable “use of language on IG captions”, an average of 72% agreed that the language content on IG captions was good; (3) on pragmatic force with the indicator “growing desire”, an average of 73, 3% agreed that the language on IG captions could increase the desire to visit tourism object in Bangkalan. The implication of this research is that the use of clear, concise, concise, interesting, and informative speech on instagram captions can be used as reference for providing information and education related to tourism in Bangkalan, Madura.
