Abstract

This study aims to determine the best composition of tempe flour additives, in ice cream processing to determine the mass balance in this processing, physical properties (viscosity, overrun, melting time, and total solids), chemical properties (fat and protein content). ), and organoleptic flavor of ice cream from tempeh flour. The research method uses empirical methods with variations in the mixture of ingredients from 2 (two) factors to get the best proportions. Where the first factor is the proportion of tempe flour with 3 (three) levels (5, 7.5, and 10%) and the second factor is the proportion of carrageenan with 2 (two) levels (0.5 and 1%). The results of physical and chemical analysis compared with commercial ice cream products, SNI and organolaptics are the best response recommended for mass production. The results showed that the treatment with variations in the proportions of carrageenan and tempeh flour had an effect on total solids, fat and protein content, viscosity, overrun, and melting time. Ice cream with the best treatment based on physical and chemical properties found in ice cream with 1% carrageenan and 10% tempe flour containing 32.22% total solids, 5.486% protein, 7.91% fat, 5.23 Pa.s viscosity, overrun 22.132% and 38.667 minutes melting rate. Ice cream with the best treatment based on organoleptic results was found in ice cream with a composition of 0.5% carrageenan and 5% tempeh flour which contained 19.22% total solids, 4.261% protein, 5.031% fat, 2.33 Pa.s dough viscosity, overrun 14.014%, and melting time 30.201 minutes.

Abstract

The method used in this study is descriptive, while the implementation technique uses survey techniques. The selection of research locations was carried out and the samples selection or key informants was done purposively. The target samples were 15 craftsmen in the Loa Ipuh, Kutai Kartanegara regency, for marketers data sources, researchers used snowball sampling. The key informants at the level of government agencies are people who are competent and have a relationship with the existence of Ulap doyo business. Method to find out the value added using Hayami method. While to find out the development strategy is carried out using a SWOT analysis. Based on the value added analysis of ulap doyo  processing industry in Loa Ipuh district, the business was able to produce added value of lDR. 2,728,929 per kilogram input of ulap doyo thread. The value added ratio owned is 76,952 percent. Based on the external internal analysis of SWOT, the ulap doyo processing business in Loa Ipuh district is in Quadrant I, a strategy that can be done to develop the business is an expantion strategy. This means that this strategy uses internal forces to reach opportunities. Key Words: Ulap Doyo, Added Value, Development Strategy

Abstract

Pelatihan Penyusunan Artikel Ilmiah Berbantu Aplikasi Mendeley dengan Tingkat Plagiasi Rendah merupakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilaksanakan secara online pada tanggal 11 Februari 2023. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam menyusun artikel ilmiah dengan tingkat plagiasi yang rendah. Dalam pelatihan ini, metode yang digunakan meliputi penyampaian materi tentang teknik dan metodologi penulisan artikel ilmiah, pengenalan aplikasi Mendeley sebagai alat bantu, serta strategi untuk menghindari plagiasi. Peserta juga diberikan kesempatan untuk mempraktikkan pengetahuan yang telah mereka peroleh dengan menyusun artikel ilmiah menggunakan aplikasi Mendeley. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa peserta berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman mereka dalam menyusun artikel ilmiah dengan kualitas yang baik dan tingkat plagiasi yang rendah. Mereka mampu mengaplikasikan pengetahuan tentang etika penulisan ilmiah dan manajemen referensi menggunakan aplikasi Mendeley. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam menyusun artikel ilmiah dengan tingkat plagiasi yang rendah. Peserta mampu menghasilkan artikel ilmiah yang sesuai dengan standar akademik dan memiliki kesadaran yang tinggi terhadap etika penulisan ilmiah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada evaluasi efisiensi penggunaan sumber daya air untuk irigasi pertanian di Kabupaten Cianjur, Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode campuran, menggabungkan analisis kuantitatif dan penilaian kualitatif. Observasi lapangan, wawancara dengan petani dan pemangku kepentingan, dan analisis strategi pengelolaan air yang ada dilakukan untuk mengumpulkan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa irigasi banjir tradisional merupakan metode utama yang digunakan oleh petani, yang mengakibatkan kehilangan air yang signifikan. Sebaliknya, teknik yang lebih efisien seperti irigasi tetes dan irigasi sprinkler menunjukkan efisiensi penggunaan air yang lebih tinggi. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi efisiensi penggunaan air termasuk praktik dan perilaku petani, pemilihan dan rotasi tanaman, dan kebijakan pengelolaan air. Tantangan yang diidentifikasi termasuk kelangkaan air, pengetahuan dan kesadaran yang terbatas, dan faktor ekonomi. Tindakan yang disarankan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan air termasuk mempromosikan teknik irigasi yang efisien, melakukan program pelatihan dan pendidikan, dan menerapkan kebijakan pendukung. Temuan penelitian ini memberikan wawasan berharga bagi pembuat kebijakan, pengelola sumber daya air, dan petani di wilayah Cianjur untuk meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan air untuk irigasi pertanian.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan alternatif pada pemilihan lahan perkebunan Kelapa Sawit Riau dengan Metode Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Dengan jumlah kriteria adalah 5 yang terdiri dari curah hujan, ketinggian diatas permukaan laut, kandungan bahan dasar, ketebalan gambut dan keasaman tanah. Alternatif adalah 12 yang terdiri dari 12 kabupaten di Riau. Provinsi Riau merupakan salah satu provinsi yang memiliki perkebunan kelapa sawit yang paling luas di indonesia, pertumbuhan luas area kebun kelapa sawit sangat pesat. Pencarian alternatif menggunakan metode AHP dengan jumlah kriteria adalah 5 terdiri dari curah hujan, ketinggian diatas permukaan laut, kandungan bahan dasar, ketebalan gambut dan keasaman tanah.  Jumlah alternatif adalah 12 yang terdiri dari 12 Kabupaen di Riau. Sehingga didapatkan hasil perankingan bahwa Kuantan merupakan prioritas pertama dan Bengkalis merupakan prioritas ke-12 dengan nilai konsitensi rasio adalah 2,6%

Abstract

Indonesia's status as the world's fourth most populous country underscores the importance of its contribution to global food security. However, this important role comes with a series of challenges that are exacerbated by changing climate dynamics, decreasing arable land, and the inherent inefficiencies of traditional farming techniques. Balancing the need to increase productivity with the imperative to preserve the environment is a formidable challenge that necessitates a paradigm shift in agricultural practices. However, these benefits are accompanied by barriers such as knowledge gaps, financial constraints, and infrastructure limitations, which need to be effectively addressed to utilise the full potential of these technologies. This research underscores the need for a holistic and context-sensitive approach. Effective knowledge dissemination, customised financing mechanisms, improved infrastructure, and supportive policy frameworks are essential to foster the adoption and implementation of innovative practices. In addition, the research highlights the importance of collaboration among various stakeholders, including farmers, policymakers, researchers and industry players, to collectively address challenges and capitalise on opportunities. The implications of this research extend beyond the borders of Indonesia. The findings provide insights that resonate with other developing countries facing similar challenges in agricultural transformation. By bridging knowledge gaps, promoting equitable access to technology, and fostering an enabling policy environment, countries can unlock the potential of the agrotechnology revolution to meet global food needs while maintaining the ecological balance of our planet. As the world grapples with the challenges of food security in an era of climate change, this research contributes valuable knowledge to build a more sustainable and resilient future for agriculture and humanity.

Abstract

Integrasi energi terbarukan dalam proses produksi pangan telah muncul sebagai pendekatan penting untuk mengatasi tantangan keberlanjutan di bidang pertanian dan meningkatkan ketahanan lingkungan. Studi ini menggunakan analisis bibliometrik untuk memeriksa secara komprehensif lanskap ilmiah penelitian tentang pemanfaatan energi terbarukan dalam domain produksi pangan. Kumpulan data publikasi yang dikurasi dengan cermat dari Web of Science, Scopus, dan Google Scholar yang mencakup tahun 1994 hingga 2023 menjadi dasar analisis ini. Temuan-temuan utama menyoroti lonjakan yang signifikan dalam aktivitas penelitian dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, menggarisbawahi semakin pentingnya adopsi energi berkelanjutan dalam produksi pangan. Penulis dan institusi yang produktif, jaringan kolaboratif, dan publikasi yang banyak dikutip diidentifikasi, menjelaskan kontributor utama dan karya-karya yang berpengaruh di bidang ini. Selain itu, analisis kata kunci mengungkapkan tema-tema yang dominan dan yang sedang berkembang, mulai dari konsumsi sumber daya dan pengelolaan limbah hingga implikasi ekonomi dari keberlanjutan. Analisis bibliometrik ini memberikan pandangan holistik tentang lanskap penelitian, yang menginformasikan arah masa depan untuk inisiatif energi berkelanjutan di sektor produksi pangan.

Abstract

This study investigates the utilization of smart agricultural technologies to improve resource efficiency in the agro-industry, using a quantitative approach with a focus on Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) analysis. A survey of 250 agro-industry stakeholders produced descriptive statistics showing a high mean adoption score (4.2) and a significant frequency of adoption (75%). Resource efficiency indicators, including average water use (32.5 gallons per hectare), average energy consumption (15.8 kWh per hectare), and average crop yield (2,800 kg per hectare), were also assessed. The SEM-PLS results showed strong reliability and validity of the measurement model, with positive path coefficients indicating substantial impacts of smart technology adoption on water use efficiency, energy consumption optimization, and crop yield. The model showed a satisfactory fit, and bootstrapping confirmed the robustness of the relationships. The discussion highlights practical implications for farmers, policymakers, and technology providers, emphasizing the potential for increased efficiency, reduced costs, and improved yields through the adoption of smart technologies. This study contributes valuable insights to the discourse of sustainable agricultural practices.
