Abstract

This study aims to determine the Differences of Cognitive Ability of Students Before and After Application of Guided Inquiry Learning Model on Environmental Change Material and Waste Recycling Class X in SMA 'Aisyiyah 1 Palembang. The research method used in this research is weak experiment with one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study consists of one class of 38 students. Sampling in this research using saturated sample technique because the entire population is sampled. Technique of collecting data is done with test question and observation sheet. Based on the results of data using t test at the real level of 5% tcount = 7,607 and ttable = 2.026, then tcount> ttable. This can be seen from the cognitive test of students showed sig thitung 0.000 <0,05, then Ha accepted and H0 rejected. The result of the analysis of the average increase of the students 'cognitive achievement on the pretest reaches 69.34 while the cognitive students in the posttest reach 83.82 means students' cognitive ability is higher after the application of guided inquiry learning model. Then it can be deduced that there is a Difference of Cognitive Ability of Students Before and After Application of Guided Inquiry Learning Model.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of cooperative learning model type Group Investigation (GI) against students critical thinking skills on virus subject in X class. Research Method is quasi experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design study . Population on research this composed from six class amount 208 students, Sampling on this research used random technique. The sample of research is 66 students. Technique of data collecting with question tests are pretest and posttest . Based on data use results t test on level real 5% for pretest results t arithmetic = 5,556 and t table = 1.998 , then t arithmetic > ttable . Meanwhile, the results of data using t test at the real level of 5% for posttest results t arithmetic = 3,632 and t table = 1.998, then t arithmetic > ttable . This can be seen from the t-test calculation of students critical thinking skills show as sig tarithmetic 0.000 <0,05, then Ha accepted and H 0 rejected . Results analysis calculation per indicator thinking skills students on pretest control class achieved 13.2% very low category while calculations per indicator of critical thinking skills students on pretest experimental class reach 25,3% very low category. The result of calculation analysis per indicator of students critical thinking skill in posttest of control class reach 62,3% low category, while calculation of student critical thinking skill indicator on experimental class posttest reach 82,6% very high category, that is students critical thinking skills more high after application of learning model cooperative type group investigation (GI) . Then could withdrawn conclusion that there the influence of cooperative learning model of Group Investigation (GI) type of students critical thinking on the Virus material of X class.Keywords : learning model, GI, critical thinking, virus

Abstract

Latar belakang: Salah satu tumbuhan yang digunakan sebagai obat adalah daun Karamunting (Rhodomyrtus tomentosa (Aiton.) Hassk.). Secara tradisional daun tumbuhan Karmunting digunakan sebagai obat cacing pada manusia, mengobati luka, kudis, mengurangi sakit kepala, mengobati sakit perut dan diare, menahan pendarahan dan juga digunakan untuk mencegah infeksi setelah melahirkan.Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh efek antibakteri fraksi  Daun Karamunting (Rhodomyrtus tomentosa (Aiton)Hassk) terhadap bakteri Escherichia coli dengan metode difusi agar. Metode: Jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen untuk mengetahui suatu gejala atau pengaruh yang timbul, sebagai akibat dari adanya perlakuan tertentu. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei 2019 sampai dengan bulan Agustus 2019. Dengan beberapa perlakuan dalam ekstraksi dilakukan metode maserasi yang diperoleh ekstrak kental sebanyak 161,5 gram dengan hasil rendemen 8,075% dari 2kg serbuk simplisia, pada fraksinasi menggunakan metode cair-cair dengan pelarut N-heksan (non polar) dengan hasil hasil 0.5099 gram, etil asetat (semi polar) dengan hasil 5,2997 gram, etanol (polar) dengan hasil 12,3887gram, kemudian diujikan pada pertumbuhan bakteri Eschericia coli dengan difusi agar lalu melakukan pengukuran zona bening dan di analisis dengan ANOVA pada nilai normality (p) >0,05. Hasil:  Ekstrak Daun karamunting dengan konsentrasi 40%-4,95mm, 60%-6,38mm, 80%-8,24mm, Fraksi etanol 60%-6,04mm, 80%-7,5mm, 100%-8,75mm dan fraksi etil 40%5-6mm, 60%-6,7mm, 80%- 7,48mm, tidak terbentuk zona hambat pada fraksi N-heksan dengan konsentrasi 16%, 32%, 64%. Kesimpulan: Terdapat pengaruh ekstrak Daun Karamunting (Rhodomyrtus tomentosa (Aiton) Hassk.) terhadap pertumbuhan Bakteri Eschericia coli. konsentrasi yang terbaik adalah Ekstak 80% dan Fraksi Etanol 100% dikarenakan pada hasil uji dinyatakan tidak berbeda signifikan dinyatakan nilai (p) > 0,05. Kata kunci : Ekstrak, Fraksi, Daun Karamunting, Antibakteri, E.coli

Abstract

Actinomycetes are soil organisms that have traits that are common to bacteria and fungi but also have quite different characteristics that limit into one group which is distinctly different. Study aimed to explore the mangrove actinomycetes from soil and tested the antibacterial potency. Soil samples taken from the mangrove land at Tanjung Api-api mangrove species Sonneratia caseolaris. Activity test antibacterial using a method modified disk a test bacterium Escherichia coli. Identification isolates of actinomycetes by observing the character of macroscopic colonies, microscopic conidia. The results showed that the obtained three different actinomycetes isolates, 1 isolate has the most potential ability to inhibit bacterial growth test with an average value of 1:13 cm in inhibiting the bacteria Escherichia coli.

Abstract

A learning activity that did not correspond with the interest will generated unfavorable achievement. It can be said that with appropriate learning methods can lead to student interst. In learning process we need to caused a learning interest to the students. But in the real class a lot of teachers finds obtacles, because the lack of variations in learning method. Therefore the formulation of the problems is there any affection towards the use of role playing method in student learning interest on tenth grade student of SMA Azharyah palembang, this study aims to determine the effect of the use of the role playing towards the student learning interest of class X on virus material in SMA Azharyah Palembang . this research was done in august until semptember 2016 in SMA Azharyah Palembang. The population of this research was all of X student class of SMA Azharyah Palembang which is divided inti 2 classes and 30 students in average. X1 as a experiment class and X2 as a control class, sampling was done by used sampling jenuh technique. The research was used quantitative research method. The design was used in this research is true experimental design in form of posstest-only control design. To se the interest in students learning is done by using questionnaires and observation sheets. And to measure the effect of role playing method to student learning interst is using t-test. The result show that the learning interst in experiment class in high category was 33%, medium 47% and low 20%. Meanwhile in control class in high category was 20%, medium 50% and low 30% this shows that the experimental class student learning interest is higher compared to the control class. Furthermore there is an influence on students learning interest. Obtained t hitung = 11,75 then compared with t table= 1,671. So the result showed  that t hitung > t table. Thus Ha accepted.

Abstract

Bacteria in food can result from the sale of foods that do not pay attention to hygiene and safety. Pathogenic bacteria in food can cause illness gastroenteris/digestion. One of the ways to prevent the escape of pathogens is antibacterial compounds . Lemon (Citrus aurantifolia) contained many chemical compounds that can inhibit the growth of bacteria such as flavonoids and saponin. This study aims to isolate bacteria from food such as fish and chicken as a test of the effectiveness of lemon on the growth of bacteria. The study was conducted on April 2016 in MIPA (Science) Laboratory of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang and the Center for Health Laboratory Palembang. The research method is experimental laboratory used as a pour plate in order to make the diffusion were analyzed qualitatively. Using test bacteria Escherichia coli from food that is tested by agar diffusion method for determining the concentration of lemon juice on the growth of bacteria. The results showed that lemon juice can inhibit the growth of E. coli bacteria that is at a concentration of 25% average of 3,2 colonies of bacteria/gram; 50% mean bacterial concentration of 2,4 colonies/gram; 7% of the average bacterial concentration of 4,2% and 100% means bacterial concentration of 0,8 colonies/gram. Lemonsqueezemost effectively inhibits bacteria at concentrations of 100%.

Abstract

Protein compounds containing amino acids, composed of atoms C, H, O and N. Eggs are thesource of animal protein that has the highest quality or biological value. The purpose of thisstudy was to determine the value of protein in eggs and application in biology subjects. Thisresearch was conducted in June 2016 at IPA Laboratory UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. Proteinanalysis using Kjedahl method. The result of protein analysis obtained was lowest with theaddition of garlic P3 (200 g) the average value of 9.25%, the addition of garlic P2 (150 g) andP1 (100 g) with the mean of 9.42% and 9.48% had the same result systematically. Contributionin biology subjects is given in the method of egg protein test work with the addition of garlic ina systematic manner. In this case it can be concluded Fcount> Ftabel, so the addition of garlicis able to maintain the quality of protein in eggs awake and its contribution in the biology lessonof food in the form LKS.

Abstract

In this research, magnesium oxide nanoparticles (MgONPs) was prepared from MgCl2 solution using aqueous extract of Moringa oleifera (M. oleifera) bark as green agent. Preparation procedure involved mixing of MgCl2.6H2O solution and the aqueous extract of M. oleifera bark, followed by drop wise addition of NaOH solution. The formation of MgONPs in this study was confirmed using UV-Vis absorption. The spherical crystal structure of MgONPs was confirmed by XRD analysis. The average particle size of the synthesized MgONPs was found between 60—100 nm  using  SEM and TEM images and PSA results. The MgONPs synthesized showed good antioxidant activity, as well as antibacterial activity against S. aureus, E. faecalis, E. coli, and S. dysenteriae bacteria.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the abundance of plankton in the Ogan Ilir regency of South Sumatra. Samples were obtained using a purposive random sampling method with plankton as the main material for measuring abundance and the Shannon Wiener Diversity Index (H), Simpson Dominance Index (C), and plankton abundance index. The results of the study obtained six classes consisting of 15 genera of plankton including Fragielaria, Synedra, Eunotia, Diatom, Fustulia, Oedogonium, Gonium, Chaetophora, Microspora, Allona, Neuplius, Lyngbya, Spirulina, Cyclotella and Dismidium. Diversity value at point 1 (1.75) with medium category, point 2 (3.5) with high category, point 3 (0.75) with the medium category. The diversity value of three points is known to be low in population.

Abstract

Umumnya bahan pangan berupa ikan dan daging olahan merupakan bahan pangan yang mudah rusak (perishable food) karena kandungan protein dan air yang cukup tinggi, oleh karena itu perlakuan dan pengolahan yang baik sangat diperlukan untuk bahan pangan tersebut. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeteksi bakteri Salmonella  sp dengan media SSA (Salmonella shigela agar) dan E-coli dengan media EMBA (Eosin Methylene Blue Agar) pada beberapa bahan pangan yang berasal dari ikan dan daging olahan. Sampel yang diuji berupa daging ikan giling, ikan asin, makanan kaleng dan sosis. Metode yang digunakan adalah uji pendugaan dengan menggunakan media selektif SSA dan EMBA dengan teknik media tuang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa semua bahan pangan yang diuji untuk mendeteksi adanya Salmonella Sp. dengan menggunakan media SSA menunjukkan hasil yang negatif. Untuk uji deteksi adanya E- coli dengan menggunakan media EMBA pada bahan pangan yang diuji menunjukkan sampel daging ikan giling positif mengandung bakteri E-coli. Kata kunci: Deteksi bakteri salmonella dan E-coli, EMBA, SSA ABSTRACT Generally Food Ingredients Form of fish and processed meat is a perishable food material because protein content and the water is high enough, therefore treatment and processing of good it is necessary to review the food ingredients. The purpose from research is to review detecting bacteria Salmonella sp. with SSA (Salmonella Shigela Agar) and E-coli with EMBA (Eosin Methylene Blue Agar) on several of food derived from fish and processed meat. The samples were tested form of minced fish meat, salted fish, canned foods and sausage. The method used is testing with estimation using SSA and EMBA with pour plate technique. Research shows that the initials all food ingredients the tested to detect the presence of Salmonella Sp. review with using SSA findings indicate a negative thing. To test the presence of E-coli detection uses EMBA with the food ingredients the samples tested showed positive minced fish meat contains bacteria E-coli. Keywords: Detection of bacteria salmonella and E-coli, EMBA, SSA
