Abstract

The fisheries sector is one sector that has great potential in improving the economy. To increase the income of fish cultivators, farmers need to manage their business results better before they were marketed or sold. The welfare level of fish farmers was still low, this is not because the selling price of fish is low, nor is it because of the large number of imported fish, but rather due to the government's lack of attention to the fishery sector, especially freshwater fisheries. This study used a descriptive method, which was conducted in the Lima Puluh Kota Regency. The selection of the research area was carried out in purposive method. Determination of the research sample using the snowball sampling method. Collecting data using interview method using questionnaires to obtain primary data and documentation method to obtain secondary data. The data analysis method used descriptive qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis using a triangulation technique approach that tested the validity of the data using methods, sources, and theories. The results showed that the factors that significantly influenced the income of fish farmers in Nagari Andaleh, Luak District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency were the number of harvests (X1), land area (X2), production costs (X5), and the selling price of production (X6).  While the factors that do not affect the income of rice farmers are farmer education (X3), farmer age (X4) and other occupations (X7).

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada peningkatan produksi jagung di Kecamatan Payakumbuh yang diperlukan untuk meningkatkan pendapatan petani jagung, kondisi ini sejalan dengan meningkatnya kebutuhan komoditas jagung khususnya untuk pakan ayam petelur. Meningkatnya kebutuhan jagung untuk ayam petelur disebabkan oleh meningkatnya populasi dalam usaha perunggasan, khususnya ternak ayam petelur di Kecamatan Payakumbuh yang begitu cepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pendapatan usahatani jagung. Untuk menganalisis pendapatan usahatani jagung dilakukan dengan analisis menggunakan rumus pendapatan usahatani. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Total pendapatan petani jagung adalah Rp.28.984 - 18.294.429; dengan penghasilan rata-rata Rp 5.089.795,35.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada: ketergantungan petani yang menggunakan pupuk anorganik dan meningkatkan harga pupuk anorganik yang berakibat pada peningkatan biaya produksi dan berkurangnya keuntungan usahatani padi, sehingga mempengaruhi kesejahteraan petani keluarga. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) Untuk mengetahui pendapatan petani padi, 2) Untuk mengetahui perbedaan pendapatan antara petani pupuk organik padi dan pupuk petani padi anorganik. Metode pencapaian tujuan dilakukan dengan: analisis usahatani menggunakan rumus pendapatan usahatani. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Pendapatan petani padi pupuk organik adalah Rp.657.838 menjadi 14.633.798; pendapatan rata-rata sebesar Rp. 5.464.104,03. Sedangkan pendapatan petani padi pupuk anorganik adalah Rp. 500.983 hingga Rp 14.189.743; pendapatan rata-rata sebesar Rp 5.901.806,24; 2) Pendapatan petani padi pupuk organik tidak berbeda nyata dengan pendapatan petani padi anorganik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada sistem pertanian terpadu yang merupakan sistem pertanian yang didasarkan pada konsep daur ulang biologis antara tanaman, perikanan dan ternak. Implementasi sistem integrasi padi-sapi mampu memberikan manfaat bagi penggunaan pupuk kandang yang dapat meningkatkan produktivitas, mengurangi biaya produksi dan meningkatkan pendapatan petani. Jerami padi tidak digunakan secara optimal, mahal dan ketersediaan pupuk urea yang langka, limbah ternak belum dimanfaatkan dengan baik dan limbah kulit kakao belum digunakan sebagai pakan ternak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) untuk mengetahui peningkatan keuntungan usaha tani dari adopsi sistem usaha tani terpadu dibandingkan dengan sistem konvensional dan 2) untuk menganalisis kelayakan usaha tani dengan penerapan sistem usaha tani terpadu dan sistem konvensional. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: 1) Penerimaan dan keuntungan dari usaha tani konvensional kepada usaha tani dengan sistem pertanian terpadu adalah meningkat. Peningkatan penerimaan selama 6 bulan dari Rp 675 juta menjadi Rp 792,12 juta yaitu meningkat sebesar Rp 117,12 juta atau sebesar 17,35%. Peningkatan keuntungan selama 6 bulan dari Rp 203,57 juta menjadi Rp 259,02 yaitu meningkat sebesar Rp 55,45 juta atau setara dengan 27,24%. 2) Nilai R/C ratio dan profitabilitas dari usaha tani sistem integrasi padi-sapi terintegrasi sebesar 1,49 dan 48,59%. Sedangkan nilai R/C ratio dan profitabilitas usaha tani sapi potong dengan pemeliharaan secara konvensional 25 ekor selama enam bulan adalah sebesar 1,43 dan 43,18%. Nilai R/C ratio dan profitabilitas menunjukkan bahwa bisnis ini layak.

Abstract

Synthetic insecticides are still used as the main solution in suppressing herbivorous insect attacks on maize at the farm level. The purpose of this research is to determine and find new ways farmers use insecticides wisely through a multi-aspect approach. The method used to determine the sample was purposive sampling with 50 corn farmers spread across five villages in the Tambulava sub-district. Primary data collection was obtained by observation through direct interviews with corn farmers using a prepared semi-structured questionnaire, and secondary data were obtained through a literature study and various sources related to research issues. Quantitative data were analyzed by simple tabulation (cross-tabulation analysis), while qualitative data were analyzed using an interpretation of existing phenomena. The results showed that four herbivorous insect species attacked corn plants in the Tanambulava District: Spodoptera frugiperda, Helicoverva armigera, Ostrinia furnacalis, and Locusta sp. Insecticide application time by local farmers is generally done in the morning by 90%, with application frequency varying 1-3 times a week. There are 13 active insecticide ingredients used by corn farmers in Tambulava District, Sigi Regency.

Abstract

This research aims to see the effect of the number of leaves left on the rootstock and the best defoliation time to improve the performance of cacao shoot connection seedlings. The research was conducted in the experimental garden of Politeknik Pertanian Negeri Payakumbuh from March to July 2023. Cocoa clone ICS was used as rootstock and clone TSH as scion. The experimental design was 4x4 factorial with 3 replications, the environmental design was completely randomized design. Data were analyzed statistically using F test and DNMRT further test at 5% level. From the research and data processing, it was found that there is an interaction between the treatment of different number of rootstock leaves and different defoliation times on the performance of cocoa shoot grafting seedlings based on the variables of percentage of grafted seedlings, number of shoots, number of leaves, leaf area and weight of seedling scion. It can be concluded that defoliation of the rootstock six days before splicing with rootstock having four leaves produces the best performance of cacao shoot grafting seedlings
