Abstract

Muhammadiyah as an Islamic missionary organization does not only limit itself to religious activities. For more than a century, this organization has shown its real role by being present in the midst of society in various sectors of life, such as education, health, other humanitarian movements, including Muhammadiyah’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic situation. The objective of this study is to determine the extent of Muhammadiyah’s progress in efforts to prevent the transmission of the Covid-19 pandemic from the perspective of crisis communication and Anthony Giddens’ adaptive structuring, and also to identify the crisis communication model for the COVID-19 Muhammadiyah Task Force Team in the Epicenter area. The method used in this research is a phenomenological approach through data analysis with the Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis technique. This research itself is included in the category of the hermeneutic paradigm. The results showed that there were various communication models implemented by the Covid-19 Muhammadiyah task force team at the central and epicenter regions. Each region has different characteristics, in Makassar, the strength of Kyai (religious Leader) and Muhammadiyah figures to provide education and information is still considered very effective as a form of legitimacy. Meanwhile in Jakarta, an effective communication pattern that implements 1 line of coordination with the central MCCC is implemented so that bias does not occur and creates hoaxes in strengthening the significance of the central government. Coordination and consolidation between various regions at the central MCCC continue to be conducted intensively with the collaboration of the Top-down and Bottom-up systems as a form of domination. Coordination and a wider reach by adopting the system developed by the MCCC need to be implemented so that the outreach of the community does not partially focus on Muhammadiyah citizens in particular.Keywords: Covid-19, crisis communication, Muhammadiyah, task force team ABSTRAKMuhammadiyah sebagai organisasi dakwah Islam tidak hanya membatasi diri hanya pada kegiatan keagamaan. Lebih dari satu abad, organisasi ini telah menunjukkan peran nyatanya dengan hadir di tengah-tengah masyarakat dalam berbagai sektor kehidupan. Seperti pendidikan, kesehatan, gerakan kemanusiaan lainnya, termasuk respon Muhammadiyah dalam situasi pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana kiprah Muhammadiyah dalam upaya pencegahan penularan pandemic Covid-19 dari perspektif komunikasi krisis dan strukturasi adaptif Anthony Giddens. Mengidentifikasi bagaimana model komunikasi krisis Tim Gugus Tugas COVID-19 Muhammadiyah yang berada dalam wilayah Episentrum. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan fenomenologi melalui analisis data dengan teknik Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis. Penelitian ini sendiri termasuk dalam kategori paradigma hermeneutik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat berbagai macam model komunikasi yang dlakukan Tim gugus tugas Covid-19 Muhammadiyah di pusat dan daerah epicentrum. Setiap  daerah memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda, di Makassar kekuatan sosok kyai maupun tokoh muhammadiyah untuk memberikan edukasi dan informasi dinilai masih sangat ampuh sebagai suatu bentuk legitimasi. Sedangkan di Jakarta pola komunikasi efektif yang menerapkan 1 garis kordinasi dengan MCCC pusat dilaksanakan agar tidak terjadi bias dan menimbulkan hoax dalam memperkuat signifikansi dari pusat. Koordinasi dan konsolidasi antar berbagai daerah di dengan MCCC pusat terus dijalankan secara intens dengan kolaborasi sistem Top down dan Bottom up sebagai suatu bentuk dominasi. Koordinasi dan jangkauan yang lebih luas dengan mengadopsi Sistem yang dikembangkan MCCC perlu dijalankan agar jangkauan masayarakat tidak secara parsial berfokus pada warga muhammadiyah saja secara khusus.Kata Kunci: Covid-19, komunikasi krisis, Muhammadiyah, tim gugus tugas

Abstract

This study addresses the violation of the rights of minority groups to adhere to beliefs other than the six state religions recognized in Indonesia. The government must identify why minority rights are not being fulfilled, and seek to provide answers so that they become the main learning material for diversity in Indonesia. In particular, the power of the state in controlling the dynamics of a pluralistic society is to maintain the integrity and unity of society in an effort to realize the ideals of Pancasila to create a just and prosperous society. This study uses field studies and qualitative research methodologies, including direct observation and in-depth interviews with community leader Towani Tolotang, to obtain objective information about the reality of the object under study. This research shows that until now the Towani Tolotang community in Sidrap Regency still exists in cultural practices and social interaction with the Sidrap community in general because of their political actions. Furthermore, social belief states that the Towani Tolotang community is part of the Bugis community which has a distinctive culture that must be protected.

Abstract

Since the widespread usage of the Internet, digital marketing has developed at an exponential rate. This level of use is driven by the availability of cell phones at low costs. However, the use of digital marketing by businesspeople, such as village-owned firms, is not generally acknowledged (BUMDes). Most BUMDes in South Buton Regency believe that digital marketing is a location for transactions to take place, which is far from the truth because digital marketing is the use of all resources on the Internet to deliver information about BUMDes' goods. BUMDes' resources include not just marketing websites but also social media platforms controlled by BUMDes. Social media utilized for digital marketing relies not just on social media created specifically for BUMDes but also on social media held by BUMDes workers. As a result of the increased reach of product promotion, product sales from BUMDes in South Buton Regency grow.

Abstract

Teachers in schools not only have to be good at teaching in the classroom, but, like lecturers in higher education, have an obligation to be able to conduct research and compile scientific articles. So it is important for teachers to have mastery in organizing references or literature properly. The use of reference management software is something that teachers must know and be able to use. In general, teachers at SMA 1 Muhammadiyah Baubau do not have the knowledge and skills to use the reference management system, so this community service activity is carried out with the aim of providing knowledge and skills for teachers at SMA 1 Muhammadiyah Baubau regarding reference management software. The applications provided are Zotero, and EndNote, and Mendeley. The activity was held for two days, starting with a survey of participant knowledge and continued with training on reference management software, and ending with a post-test for participants to measure the level of participant mastery. The survey results showed that most of the training participants did not have a good understanding of reference management software including its operation. After the training, 90% of the trainees stated that the Zotero application is quite easy to use when compared to the End-Note application. 54% of participants stated that the Zotero application is easier to operate, while 43% stated that the EndNote application is easier to use, meaning that the two applications are almost as easy to operate. Another finding was that the training participants expressed their satisfaction with the speaker 's mastery of the material including the presentation of the material that was interesting and easily understood by the participants.

Abstract

Artikel ini menyajikan analisis wacana terhadap artikel-artikel berita terkait Revisi Kitab Undang-Undang Hukum Pidana (RKUHP) di Media Online CNBC sebelum pengesahannya. Analisis ini menggunakan teknik pemodelan topik untuk mengungkap tema dan ideologi dominan yang ada dalam wacana berita. Dengan menggunakan prinsip-prinsip analisis wacana kritis, penelitian ini mengkaji dinamika sosial politik dan relasi kuasa yang tercermin dalam wacana seputar RKUHP. Temuan-temuannya berkontribusi pada pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang strategi diskursif yang digunakan oleh berbagai kelompok dan institusi sosial dalam membentuk opini publik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Peran Humas Polres Kota Baubau Dalam Menyampaikan Informasi Publik”. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui peran Humas Kepolisian Resort Kota Baubau dalam menyampaikan informasi publik dan tantangan yang dihadapi oleh Humas Kepolisian Resort Kota Baubau dalam menyampaikan informasi publik. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan ialah metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik analisis data adalah triangulasi (kombinasi). Analisis data terdiri dari tiga aliran kegiatan secara bersamaan: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peran Humas Polres Kota Baubau dalam menyebarluaskan informasi publik sangat penting untuk menjaga keharmonisan hubungan antara polisi dan masyarakat. Humas berfungsi sebagai saluran komunikasi antara polisi dan masyarakat, sumber informasi resmi polisi, pelindung citra dan reputasi polisi, fasilitator interaksi antara polisi dan masyarakat, dan penganjur transparansi dan partisipasi publik.

Abstract

Program pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan masyarakat setempat dengan menumbuhkan pemahaman dan apresiasi terhadap warisan budaya, tradisi, dan nilai-nilai mereka. Program ini menekankan pentingnya melestarikan dan menjaga aset budaya dan situs bersejarah. Selain itu, hal ini juga menyoroti perlunya keseimbangan antara pengembangan pariwisata dan konservasi lingkungan. Prinsip-prinsip pengelolaan pariwisata berkelanjutan merupakan komponen inti dari program pelatihan ini. Para peserta mendapatkan pengetahuan tentang pengelolaan limbah, konservasi energi, dan pelestarian alam. Mereka juga belajar tentang perencanaan dan pengembangan produk pariwisata berkelanjutan yang selaras dengan nilai-nilai dan aspirasi masyarakat. Program ini menekankan keterlibatan masyarakat dalam proses pengambilan keputusan yang berkaitan dengan pengelolaan pariwisata. Pengembangan keterampilan merupakan area fokus utama dalam program pelatihan ini. Para peserta menerima pelatihan dalam berbagai keterampilan yang berhubungan dengan pariwisata, seperti pemandu wisata, manajemen acara, manajemen homestay, dan produksi kerajinan tangan. Mereka dididik untuk memberikan layanan pelanggan yang sangat baik dan komunikasi yang efektif dengan wisatawan. Selain itu, pelatihan tentang kebersihan, keamanan, dan pengelolaan lingkungan memastikan pengalaman pengunjung yang positif. Melalui proses evaluasi yang komprehensif, program ini dapat terus ditingkatkan untuk memastikan efektivitas dan dampak positifnya terhadap potensi pariwisata dan kesejahteraan masyarakat.

Abstract

Brand memiliki peran vital dalam mendukung suksesnya usaha mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan bisnisnya. Elemen utama dalam membangun sebuah brand adalah logo. Dengan logo yang kreatif dapat membuat konsumen tertarik membeli produk dari usaha mahasiswa. Tujuan dari pelatihan ini adalah untuk membekali mahasiswa dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan praktis untuk menggunakan aplikasi desain seperti Pixellab. Pelatihan yang diberikan antara lain penyampaian materi tentang prinsip dasar desain grafis dalam membuat logo, mengajarkan cara menginstall aplikasi Pixellab, pengenalan tools pada aplikasi Pixellab, dan cara membuat logo yang menarik dan efektif sesuai kreatifitas masing-masing peserta. Metode yang digunakan pada pengabdian ini menggunakan pendekatan monologis dan dialogis. Pelatihan yang diikuti dengan jumlah peserta 42 orang sampai akhir acara mendapatkan pengetahuan dalam membuat logo yang menarik dan efektif untuk branding usaha mahasiswa dengan menggunakan aplikasi Pixellab.

Abstract

Media relations merupakan wujud strategi komunikasi seorang PR professional dalam menjaga hubungan dengan media, menjalin hubungan dan mempertahankan suatu hubungan yang baik dengan media sangatlah penting bagi seorang PR sebab media adalah sarana publikasi, dimana segala informasi tentang perusahaan disalurkan selain itu juga media merupakan sarana membangun reputasi, sehingga penting bagi PR untuk menjalin hubungan baik dengan media. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan strategi media relations Humas Polres Baubau dalam menjalin hubungan dengan media lokal dan untuk mengetahui hambatan apa yang dihadapi Humas Polres Baubau dalam menjalin hubungan dengan media lokal di kota Baubau. Jenis penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan objek penelitian kantor Humas Polres Baubau. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Humas Polres Baubau dalam menjalin hubungan sudah cukup baik dengan semua media, hanya saja masih ada kekurangan yang dirasakan oleh wartawan Kompas TV yaitu kurangnya akses informasi yang diberikan oleh humas, komunikasi dua arah yang belum seimbang sehingga terjadi miskomunikasi. Humas Polres Baubau juga memiliki hambatan atau kendala dengan media lokal yaitu seringnya terjadi miskomunikasi antara keduanya dikarenakan terlambatnya data, keterbatasan informasi, dan juga perbedaan kepentingan sehingga menyebabkan hubungan yang tidak seimbang.

Abstract

The Role of social media, especially TikTok, as a promotional tool for Muhammadiyah Buton University. In the digital era, online promotion through social media has become an effective solution to enhance the appeal of higher education institutions. With the extensive usage of the TikTok app, universities are competing to utilize it as a promotional channel. Challenges arise in content variation, requiring creative strategies to maintain prospective students' interest. This research aims to analyze the extent of Muhammadiyah Buton University's Promotion Strategy in attracting new students through the TikTok application. This study employs a qualitative approach to comprehend the phenomenon of TikTok's social media usage as a promotional tool for Muhammadiyah Buton University. It integrates marketing communication theory and uses and gratification theory. The research takes place at the Muhammadiyah Buton University campus. Research informants involve the Public Relations staff (UM Buton) and new students from the 2023 intake following the TikTok account (UM Buton). The research findings discuss Muhammadiyah Buton University's Promotion Strategy on the TikTok Application. Leveraging the TikTok trend, Muhammadiyah Buton University creates engaging content that captures prospective students' attention. Interview results indicate that using TikTok as a promotional medium is highly effective, with content successfully making it to the For You Page (FYP). New students obtain a lot of information about Muhammadiyah Buton University through TikTok, demonstrating the success of the promotional strategy. TikTok content from Communication Science students successfully attracts prospective students, providing a unique insight into Muhammadiyah Buton University's strengths. Despite the Public Relations team facing Human Resource challenges, particularly a lack of staff, this was overcome by involving student contributions in creating promotional content. Students responded positively to the content, noting that TikTok promotion helped them better understand Muhammadiyah Buton University's programs and activities. The TikTok Promotion Strategy successfully raises awareness of Muhammadiyah Buton University and has a positive influence on new student enrollment. Although there were some less positive views regarding the lack of content depicting the campus atmosphere, TikTok promotion managed to create significant attraction and positive impact. Interviews with new students indicate that TikTok content was effective in influencing their decision to join Muhammadiyah Buton University. The success of the promotional strategy involves creativity in content, focusing on relevant information, and student involvement. Overall, TikTok promotion creates a positive and convincing image for prospective students. People from the community who provided services at the Bengkulu City Manpower Office. The data analysis technique used is an interactive model. Checking the validity of the data is done by triangulation of sources and methods.The results of the study show that the implementation of public service quality in Industrial Relations Dispute Settlement services at the Bengkulu City Manpower Office is seen from the aspects of Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, Empathy, Tangibles. (1) The community is satisfied with the services provided at the Industrial Relations Dispute Settlement Service Section at the Bengkulu City Manpower Office in terms of reliability, reliability in the accuracy of the service process (2) employees who are ready to help people who need special services, people who minimal information, with officers who convey information by communicating well with the community. (3) Security at the Bengkulu City Manpower Service Office has provided good service quality, by providing a sense of security to people who perform public services, and ensuring secure data storage. (4) The Bengkulu City Manpower Office provides an aspect of empathy with a pleasant impression, this can be seen from the attitude of explaining as clearly as possible regarding service procedures and applicable SOPs. (5) The tangibles aspect of the service room and waiting room is sufficient, with waiting chairs and tables, but the mediation room which is not spacious plus there is a table inside sometimes makes the room cramped when there are many people in it.
