Abstract

Transportation plays a crucial role in driving development, particularly in developing countries such as Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the concentration of riders, vehicle equipment, traffic discipline on the safety of motorcyclists on the lasem-rembang pantura road. In this study, researchers used two types of data, including Qualitative Data and Quantitative Data. The results show that rider concentration, vehicle completeness, and traffic discipline have a positive and significant influence on motorcyclist safety. The results of the simple regression test show that the three variables have a positive coefficient, which means that the higher the concentration, vehicle equipment, and traffic discipline, the higher the level of rider safety.

Abstract

Transportation issues are a common challenge faced by both developed and developing countries, including Indonesia. The transportation sector's primary goal is to establish a system that facilitates smooth, safe, fast, cost-effective, comfortable, and environmentally friendly movement of people, vehicles, and goods. In accordance with Law No. 22 of 2009 on traffic and road transportation, traffic accidents are defined as unexpected, non-intentional incidents occurring on the road involving vehicles, with or without other road users, resulting in human casualties and/or property damage. This research aims to assess the influence of driver behavior, intersection traffic characteristics, and traffic sign violations on traffic accidents at the Tlogosari Intersection in Semarang. The problem formulation, research objectives, and hypotheses in this study intend to analyze the positive and significant effects, both individually and collectively, of the independent variables on the dependent variable (traffic accidents). The study's subjects comprise motor vehicle users at the Tlogosari intersection in Semarang, with primary and secondary data serving as data sources. The study sample consists of 100 respondents who are Tlogosari Intersection users in Semarang, selected through non-probability sampling using the Incidental Sampling method. The data analysis technique employed is multiple linear regression analysis.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out whether the factors of service quality, waiting time, price rates, and facilities affect passenger interest in PT. Main Ocean Dharma. The sample in this study amounted to 100 passengers on the dharma rucitra I ship. Incidental Data Sampling Techniques. Data analysis used in this study was descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of (software) Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS) version 26. The results of the research by testing the hypothesis t-test partially showed that service quality, waiting time, price rates, and facilities have a positive and significant effect on Passenger Interest in PT. Main Lutan Dharma. Based on the research results, it can be seen that the research model of the multiple linear regression equation is Y = -0.835 + 0.278X1 + 0.232X2 + 0.298X3 + 0.249X4 + µ. From the regression equation, it can be seen that the most dominant variable influencing passenger interest is the service quality variable with a regression coefficient of 0.298. And the R2 test (Adjusted R Square) yields a result of 0.562 or 0.56.2%, which means that Passenger Interest is influenced by the variables Waiting Time, Facilities, Service Quality, and Price Rates, which are 56% and other factors that affect User Interest by 44%.

Abstract

Passenger Decision is a process that involves identifying needs, seeking information, evaluating alternatives, making a decision, and evaluating behavior after using a service. The General Ahmad Yani International Airport in Semarang is one of the international airports in Central Java Province. This study aims to determine the effect of Brand Image, Timeliness, Service Quality, and Perceived Price variables on Citilink Passenger Decisions at General Ahmad Yani International Airport. The study used 100 Citilink airline passengers as a sample from the population, employing a non-probability incidental sampling technique. The data obtained from the sample was analyzed using multiple linear regression through SPSS Version 25 software. The regression formulation in this study is asfollows:Y=-2.139 + 0,355X1 + 0,31X2 + 0,225X3 +0,285 + µ. From these equations, it can be seen that the most dominant variable affecting the Passenger's Decision is the Brand Image variable with a regression coefficient of 0.355. The R2 (R Square) test obtained results of 0.620 or 62.0% which means that Passenger Decisions are influenced by Brand Image, Passenger Decisions, Service Quality, and Perceived Price, which are 62.0% and other factors that influence Citilink passenger decisions at Jenderal International Airport Ahmad Yani Semarang by 38%.

Abstract

Productivity of loading and unloading is one of the problems that always gets serious attention in every country, especially regarding sea transportation. Sea transportation is a meeting point for areas that are far from the center of activity, especially in supporting economic activities. with the port, economic activities canbecome smoother, most of the export and import goods are sent by sea because the number of goods that can be transported by ships is more than the number of goods that can be transported by other fleets. if the port's performance is less than optimal, it will have a direct impact on revenue so that it will cause new problems, namely a decrease in loading and unloading productivity. This study, Coal Loading and Unloading Productivity is influenced by several factors including loading and unloading equipment, truck waiting time, loading and unloading operator performance, and labor (TKBM) from these four factors which have an important role in increasing loading and unloading productivity. The population in this study were employees/employees and TKBM and service users at PT. Bira Bumi Persada with a research sample of 60 respondents. The data analysis used in this study was descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of (software) Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS) version.26. The results of the research by partially testing the t-test hypothesis showed that loading and unloading equipment, truck waiting time, loading and unloading operator performance, and labor (TKBM) had a positive and significant effect on coal loading and unloading productivity.

Abstract

Maritime transportation is a crucial element of a nation's large-scale shipment system, facilitating the movement of goods both within and beyond its borders. Major port cities like Semarang, home to the Semarang Container Terminal (Terminal Peti Kemas Semarang or TPKS), have witnessed a surge in container traffic for imports and exports. In this study, quantitative and qualitative data were collected from 72 respondents through questionnaires, interviews, observations, literature review, and documentation. Based on empirical evidence and a research model involving multiple linear regressions, independent variables, including physical conditions, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy, individually and collectively have a significant and positive impact on customer satisfaction. Recommendations for TPKS management include enhancing service quality by providing precise services, improving professionalism, enhancing responsiveness, and ensuring clear communication to prevent unexpected costs. This research aids TPKS management in improving service quality and customer satisfaction, with a focus on key dimensions.

Abstract

The Kijang Port in Riau, marked by heavy congestion and high traffic density in sea transportation, operates in an era of fierce competition, not only from domestic but also international competitors due to the influence of free trade. In this context, businesses strive to enhance their resource utilization efficiency to secure a competitive edge. Notably, employee performance stands at the core of organizational success, significantly affected by various factors, including work motivation, job rotation, and career development. This study explores these elements and their impact on employee performance at the Kijang Port. The findings of the research showcase work motivation as the most influential factor in driving employee performance, supported by its positive and significant relationship. Job rotation and career development also exhibit positive and significant effects on employee performance, although they rank below work motivation in terms of influence. The study recommends that organizations and management at the Kijang Port prioritize strategies for enhancing work motivation among employees and consider approaches to promote job rotation and facilitate career development. Addressing these factors has the potential to lead to improved overall performance and productivity, underscoring the importance of fostering work motivation, job rotation, and career development as strategies for optimizing employee performance at the Kijang Port, Riau Islands.
