Abstract

This research aimed is to determine the effect of Secang extract addition and sardinella fish oil as feed additive on eggs performance and production of quail. The 98 quails and 10 weeks divided into 4 groups with unequal replication using the completely randomized design. The treatment which are P0 (based ration), P1 (based ration + 0,2% secang extract + 4% sardinella fish oil), P2 (based ration + 0,4% secang extract + 4% sardinella fish oil), P3 (based ration + 0,6% secang extract + 4% sardinella fish oil). The parameters observed were length storage time of egg, egg cholesterol rate, feed consumption, egg weight, hen day production, egg mass, feed conversion and mortality. Data were analyzed by ANOVA and Duncan’s analysis. The results showed that Secang extract addition and sardinella fish oil were increase egg cholesterol (P<0.05) and not significantly (P>0.05) on length storage time of egg and production of quail.

Abstract

Seeing the need for beef animal foods that continue to increase, but beef on the market does not meet the market's needs, experts have the initiative to meat. Animal meat in this study was beef, chicken, duck and rabbit. One of the processed meat products that has long been known and very popular with Indonesian people is meatballs. This research is used for various types of meatball ingredients. The level of consumer acceptance used in this study uses organoleptic tests through sensory devices. Penel that in this study is a consumer panel consisting of 30 investigators. Palatability of panelists can be done through an organoleptic test which includes taste, color, aroma, texture and elasticity by waiting for RAL statistical tests. The results of acceptability study showed that the respondent's response to beef meatballs was not higher / better than recurrent meatballs (chicken, duck, rabbit).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the addition of ginger juice on the organoleptic test of milk caramel candy. This study used a completely randomized design method (RAL) whith 4 treatmens and 3 replications, where each tretmen P0 (control), P1 (50ml), P2 (100ml), and P3 (150ml). then analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Duncan test. The result of this study indicate that the highest valui for color P2 is (chocolate), aroma is P3 (sweet), texture is P3 (soft), teste is P0 (typical of milk candy). The conclution of this study is that the addition of ginger juice has a significant effect on color, aroma, texture, and teste. Suggestions from this study are that it can be used as a reference material and a laboratory test the content of milk caramel candy

Abstract

This study was carried out in the laboratory of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Balitar Islamic University, since 1 July 2022 until 21 July 2022. This study aimed to determine the concentration of guava leaves and coconut coir extract to maintain the quality of egg. The materials used in this research were eggs, hot water, guava leaves and coconut coir. Eggs are soaked for 1 days (24 hour) with concentration of guava leaves consists of 12%, 18%, and 24%, coconut coir consists 30%, 40%, and 50% and stored for 21 days. Parameters observed were egg weight reduction, yolk index, albumen index and haugh unit. The experiment designed by Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 3 replications. Parameters observed were egg weight shrinkage, yolk index, eggwhite index and haugh unit. The data were analyzed by ANOVA continued by Least Significance Different (LSD). The results of analysis of variance showed that soaking eggs using guava leaves and coconut coir extract had no significant effect (P>0,05) on egg yolk index, egg white index, and egg weight reduction. The research results showed that interior quality of eggs was higher in the guava leaves (18%) treatment. The conclusion from the results of this study is that the concentration of 18% and the soaking time of 24 hours gave good results on the haugh unit

Abstract

The research was conducted in Semanding Hamlet Kawedusan Village Ponggok District, Blitar Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine public opinion on the environment of laying chicken farm. The research uses survey research type. The are 433 households with a total population of 2.167 people and there are 12 laying chicken farm with a livestock population of 428.000 heads. The sample 18with a total of 82 respondents. The data in this study were obtained using observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis technique descriptive. The research results obtained can be described as : viewed from the aspect of air pollution and water sources are not good but the community understands that permits are allowed by community as well as district/city government, employment is very beneficial and the reciprocal relationship between farmers and the community is very important good, the results obtained that the existence of laying chicken farm does not interfere with the community.
